We had a great experience with Barcelona Day Tours visiting Montserrat. Our Viking Cruise excursion had sold out so we booked a small group tour and it worked out perfectly! We were picked up at the cruise terminal and had a very knowledgeable guide. We were able to learn much of the history of the Abbey and could see the "Black Virgin" from the pews in the basilica. I did a lot of online research and was happy I chose this company. Everything was exactly as advertised.

Montserrat Private Tour/Custom combo with Cava making tour and tasting

Thank you, Aurelio, for helping me plan a great day for my 8 family members and myself on our recent trip to Barcelona! Your suggestions were all very helpful, and the willingness to customize our day made it perfect for us. We Started the day going to Montserrat, then after went on a Cava tour! Based on my desire to see Montserrat, but we love wine Aurelio suggested this combination. WOW stunning and amazing experience at Montserrat, and the Cava tour - well delicious and so much fun! Our tour guide was so funny, and the Cava was so good! If your planning on being in Barcelona for a few days at least- give this one a try!

The tour was amazing. The entire day ran very smoothly and our guide did an exceptional job. She was very knowledgeable about Montserrat and Barcelona. She kept us interested the entire drive to our destination. I would highly recommend this tour !!

Montserrat is a "must see"

This was a great tour. Our driver Ania, picked us up at the cruise terminal the day we disembarked. They stored our luggage on the bus while we were on the tour. Ania was very knowledgeable about Montserrat, as well as Barcelona , and Spain in general. The monastery and its surroundings were beautiful ! Definitely worth the trip. I would have liked a bit more free time, but still a great tour !

Amended review

I would like to amend my review of my Barcelona tour with Bosco. I want to make it abundantly clear that in NO WAY was Bosco anti semetic. He may have lacked certain knowledge about Jewish sites and history but that was only because he may not have been properly trained. He was kind; he was understanding and has expressed a keen interest to increase his knowledge of Jewish history, sites and customs. If I could remove my first review I would but I do not know how. Once again ,this guide is NOT anti semetic.

Montserrat revisited

I can highly recommend this tour/company. Pick-up at the hotel was punctual and as promised. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very informative. The tour was as described with plenty of time to explore Montserrat on our own. The stop at the winery was nice and also very informative. The return to the hotel was also as noted in the description. We were happy that we booked with this company and would do again.

Great company to deal with and great day

We used Barcelona Day Tours September 2023 as we were disembarking our cruise early in the morning and not flying out of Barcelona until 8.00pm. We booked a private tour to Montserrat with a Cava Winery visit. Firstly we found the company really easy to deal with - fast, clear communication. The tour was great!! Cristian our tour guide was really friendly and knowledgeable; the car was spacious and clean, with our luggage safe and sound in the boot - we did not need to worry about luggage storage. We loved Montserrat & the Cava winery 😃 would definitely recommend! the trip with Barcelona Day Tours.

Awesome tour with Marta!

I highly recommend this tour. Marta was our guide and she was fabulous! Her vehicle for the 4 of us was very comfortable. Marta was very personable, knowledgable, and professional. She went out of her way to find special stops for us to take great photos. When I fell and had an injury, she took such great care of me and even arranged with the officials to let her drive directly to the door of the cathedral to pick me up. We can't recommend her highly enough. If you get the chance, definitely do this memorable tour!

Excellent ending for a wonderful cruise!

Look no further if you want to enjoy Barcelona after your cruise! This is the way to go! We were picked up at the cruise port in a large van ( 2 couples, lots of luggage) by our guide Armando. He was very friendly, spoke excellent English and helpful. We then started our tour to Montserrat. Words cannot describe the beauty of this amazing place. We learned so much about the history and significance. We were awe struck. Next on to Barcelona. Incredible city, so much to see. Armando did a great job in giving us a taste of the city in our short time together. He truly has a passion for his job and city. We were dropped off at our hotel, filled with the wonders of Barcelona, already planning a return trip. This is definitely the best way to go! No hassle with large bus groups and worries about luggage. I highly recommend this very enjoyable tour.

Great private tour to Montserrat and Cava

This tour was fantastic! We did the private full day tour to Montserrat and to a Cava winery with a guide (Marco) and a driver. The van was clean, new, and comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable and very helpful at Montserrat. They arranged all the entrance tickets and the wine tour/tasting. It was easy to communicate via email to set everything up. Would absolutely recommend.

Great trip to Montserrat!

My adult daughter and I took a private half-day trip to Montserrat in early June. We were picked up on time at the port by our driver and guide, Fabio. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and an excellent driver. He stayed with us for part of the visit and then showed us how to take the train to the top of the mountain, where we hiked around for a bit, taking pictures. We then took the train part-way down and switched to the gondola. Fabio met us at the bottom of the mountain and drove us back to the cruise port. The tour was exactly what I was hoping for and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barcelona Day Tours. They were very easy to communicate with both before and after our tour and everything went exactly as advertised.

Monserrat and Cava Winery with Lunch - Awesome

We booked a private tour with Barcelona Day Tours for Monserrat and the Cava winery tour with lunch. Prices were very reasonable and the representatives were excellent to deal with for booking the tour and responding to questions. They were timely in the responses and very helpful. The bus driver arrived on time in a clean, well maintained bus which was more than adequate for our group size. The guide was informative and during the drive to Monserrat, he told us the history and the story about how the monastery originated. The guide navigated out visit to ensure we went to the Basilica before the crowds arrived. We choose not to stand in line to touch the Madonna. The basilica was lovely and we saw the Black Madonna from afar. We didn’t get to see the boys choir since they sing at 1:00 pm. There are vendors selling local products, mostly honey and cheese, in a small outdoor market. We then drove to the cava winery, ArtCava, for a tour, tasting and lunch with the local guide, Carla. We went outside and saw the vineyards and Carla explained about the wine making process. We saw the main floor of the old house which was about 1000 years old and then went to the cellar in the basement to see how the wine is aged. Carla then showed us the bottling process. We sat outside for a lovely lunch with lots of cava. Carla is a fabulous guide with a sparling personality. Overall, we has a fantastic day with 2 awesome guides.

Great time

Our tour to Montserrat with Ricardo went great. He was very informative and we enjoyed our time. The winery was a fun stop also. We were traveling with a baby and they provided a car seat which worked perfect. We also scheduled transfers with them and they were very punctual. Often times more so than our group. Keep in mind they run a tight schedule and you need to be ready at the times they state. Would use them again on future trips to Spain.

Fantastic Day!

We were thrilled to have not only a kind driver but a lovely tour guide who brought us to our destinations, both Montserrat and Barcelona. The day began with a pickup at the cruise port and soon we were on our way to Montserrat as it was a Sunday and traffic was anticipated to be plentiful. While we had been in Barcelona and on tours with Barcelona Day Tours several times before, we wanted our daughter and significant other to experience Montserrat and all that it has to offer. In addition to securing all required tickets, our tour guide provided us with a comprehensive overview of each of the locations we visited, including, but not limited to, Montserrat, Park Quell, Sagrada Familia and more. We can honestly say that our tour guide provided more of an education than we had previously received on previous trips. We were quite impressed. At the conclusion of the tour, we were dropped off ahead of schedule at our cruise port. Without a doubt, Barcelona Day Tours, including the owners, schedulers, drivers and tour guides, provide individuals with a personalized experience that will leave memories to last a lifetime. Wonderful Tour of Montserrat

Our Montserrat tour with Christian was one of the best tours we have ever taken. Montserrat is a beautiful site, and Christian’s in depth knowledge of the history and significance of the site made it particularly interesting. Christian went out of his way to make sure i saw as much as possible, given my mobility issues. He also gave us a mini-tour of Barcelona that we thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend him and Barcelona Day Tours very highly.

The best way to see things in Spain, Hands Down! 5-Star

Myself and my wife were in Barcelona from NY (USA) and decided to take a tour to Monserrat. I can not say how amazing our tour was because words would not explain how perfect the tour was. Chris was our guide, he was better than I ever could have wanted. He explained so much about the history, not to mention his energy, knowledge & love of the city too. He gave us options, took a few pics for us, explained so much for the rest of our stay in Barcelona as well. This tour made our entire trip. Highlight of our stay in Spain. Here's a list of things to consider: -Professional and Safe -Really nice car! -Knowledge of the ins and out of not only our tour but helped us learn about things to do in Barcelona too Let's put it this way, we talked more about the tour and guide then we did about some of the places we went too! Half day tour with Cruise pick up, luggage storage and the hotel drop off

As a group of 6 we booked this as a pickup from the cruise ship. They stored our luggage and the dropped us off at our Barcelona hotel when tour finished. Antonio was our guide driving us to Monserrat and providing information about sites along the way. When we reached Monserrat he had a map and explained where to go and what to see. Normally he would park the van and come back and tour with us but we were more committed with him staying with the van and our luggage. They had arranged tickets to see the church and the boys choir. Drove us back to our hotel on time, even getting special access to the normally pedestrian only streets. Great tour, guide and overall services. Would highly recommend.

Montserrat & Sitges Beach

We had booked a private tour to Montserrat and Sitges Beach with Barcelona Day Tour as we had a group of 12 seniors. Marta was our tour guide and she was phenomenal & very passionate. She studied & lived in many countries including USA in the past and her English is excellent. She is very knowledgeable about Montserrat and even took us to the hotel to view the collections. Also, you can feel that she loves Sitges so much as Sitges Beach was her family vacation place every summer when she was younger. All 12 of us were very pleased to have her to help us to explore the areas for the very first time. Marta, thank you so much.

Barcelona and Monserrat private touring

We took five different private tours (tapas dinner, Barcelona city, Gothic Quarter, Monserrat, Sagrada Familia and Casa Battló over two and a half days. All of our guides were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. They did every possible to make our experience wonderful. We strongly endorse the company if you’re looking for a first class experience.

The guide was very...

The guide was very friendly and professional. The child in our group got sick, and the guide was helping us to make phone calls to the apartment, stopped by the pharmacy, and dropped off the child at the apartment early. All of that was outside the plan. He was also very knowledgeable. Very satisfied with the service. Highly recommend it. The driver was also very friendly and accommodating.

Montserrat…the serrated mountain! And a tour of a vineyard.

Danay our tour guide met us at our hotel at the designated time alone with our drive Alfonse (who we’d had as a driver the day before!) . Our fist stop was up to Barcelona’s beautiful serrated mountain…Montserrat! What a scenic yet treacherous road that was but we felt safe with our expert driver at the helm. Alfonse has clearly done this before and he navigated us safely to the top. Danay provided us with a guided tour of the monastery buildings and then we had some time to hike the trails and take some breathtaking pictures. We spent the afternoon at the Cava Vineyard and loved it so much we ordered a case of Cava to be shipped back for us! Just a lovely way to spend a day in Barcelona.

Great tour. Familia Sagrada was amazing

Fantastic tour. Guide met us right at the port. They were able to easily adjust the tour to see the things our group was interested in. Guide ( Joseph) was very knowledgeable and interesting.so much info on the Familia Sagrada, glad we were able to go inside. Most people we have talked to did tours that only saw the outside. communication was great through out the process. would not hesitate to use again

We had a wonderful day driving to Montserrat, touring the monastery, hiking the hills, and visiting a local winery. It was an amazing day. Our guide was informative and responsive to our requests.

Our experience with Eva (tour guide) and Pedro (driver) was awesome. We got picked-up at the cruise port of Barcelona on time and Pedro didn't hesitate to help us with our luggage. The van was very clean. Eva was very knowledgeable and patient. My family really appreciated the information she gave us. Even though it was very foggy when we got to Montserrat, Eva managed to give us the best tour. When we're dropped off at Alexandra Barcelona hotel, the roads were block. Eva joined and helped us with our luggage as we walked a block and half to the hotel. We're very satisfied with the services you provided to us. We’ll use you again in our future trips and I would highly recommend SPAIN DAY TOURS. Our experience was exceptional.

Outstanding Tour/Guide

Ricardo was a great guide, professional and personable. He did not guide from a book, but from personal knowledge and experience. He greatly enhanced our appreciation of Montserrat and that region of Spain. He was also able to relate Montserrat features with our planned visit to Sagrada Familia later in the day, things we would never have known. If we are in the area again, I would certainly like to have him as a guide. The car was comfortable and the drive pleasant.

Barcelona Day Tour

Our guide, Christian, was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable about Barcelona and the surrounding areas. He drove us to the highlights of the city which helped us get a feel for it and we used his tips the whole week! If it had been less expensive, we may have done other tours with this team, it was just cost prohibitive.

The way to tour Barcelona

Top notch. What a wonderful tour of Barcelona. Christina was our guide and she was engaging and informative. She planned the entire afternoon highlighting Barcelona's special places. It couldn't have been better. James was the driver extraordinaire. My husband has some mobility issues and James made the day easy and delightful. The pre tour communication was excellent as was the follow through. If you plan to tour Barcelona, this is your tour company.

Great tours of Monserrat and Cava Winery!

Our driver and guide, Ricardo was terrific! Very knowledgeable about the Barcelona area and Monserrat Monastery. He also took us to a Cava Winery for tasting and a tour. He also recommended a great restaurant where we all stopped for a delicious lunch in between the two tours. I cannot recommend this tour company highly enough! They were prompt at picking us up at our hotel and the van was very comfortable. I would book this company again in an instant!

The perfect tour

Barcelona Day Tours is a professional company which was easy to communicate with from our home in the states. Their website has perfect English. They picked all 10 of us up promptly from the Barcelona airport in an upscale van. They even facilitated a folding wheelchair for my mother-in-law. Their personable guide spoke good English and we were able to receive a comprehensive tour of Barcelona before boarding our cruise ship which left that day. We had requested entrance into El Parque and they purchased the tickets ahead of time for us so we could skip the lines. They will adjust the tour to your desires and can get you tickets to more sights than just one. I was so grateful for their service. We did not know how we would logistically see Barcelona with 10 family members before sailing away. Thank you Barcelona Day Tours!

Absolutely wonderful!

Our private tour was amazing! The moment we stepped off the ship and saw a smiling face with our name on the card, we knew we would be in good hands. Christian was an absolute wonderful guide! He immediately made us feel at ease and started filling us in on all the details of the day's adventures. He explained everything thoroughly, helped us navigate around Montserrat, showed us where to take the best pictures and even helped us translate the menu at our delicious lunch stop! This tour was great and we didn't have to worry about a thing the whole day. Christian had it all taken care of from stowing our very large suitcases to dropping us off our hotel at the end of the day. We loved every minute of our tour and our time with Christian!

Wonderful visit to Montserrat

Our driver/guide, Christian, was exceptional! He was prompt, efficient, and extremely pleasant. Seeing Montserrat with this private tour was an excellent way to feel safe during the pandemic. Christian gave us excellent information and helped us make the most of our visit to Montserrat by knowing exactly what we should do and when. Perfect Tour for Visit to Barcelona

Barcelona Day Tours picked us up at the airport - Christian and whisked us up to Montserrat upon our arrival to Barcelona. What a wonderful, beautiful place. Christian provided great commentary along the way. He guided us and then in some places let us tour ourselves after guiding us. It was a perfect combination! Then safely dropped us off at our hotel for check in. Mark with Barcelona Day Tours was incredible to work with prior to our arrival - he assisted us in booking visits to La Sagrada Familia, The Paella Club and a Flamenco Show. We were able to pre-pay for everything so we didn't have to worry about that on our arrival which was very nice. Additionally, we booked a half day city tour on Sunday with Armondo who toured us around the city prior to heading to our cruise. The tour was specific to us based on what we'd already visited and what we were interested in. He provided excellent commentary and gave us a true picture of the city. Then, swiftly and safely dropped us off at the port for our cruise! It was absolutely perfect. Cannot recommend this company enough!

We had a private tour, was wonderful! Our guide Christian M. was awesome, very nice, knowledgeable, caring. We had plenty of time to sightseeing, enjoy the beauty of nature created.

Fun and interesting tour

Our private tour of Montserrat was amazing. Our guide Eva made it very interesting for our 7 teenagers and we all had a great time. It was fun and interesting. We had a very comfortable van and great driver.

3 day tour with Joe Richard Martyn

We had a group of 14 people touring Barcelona with Joe Richard Martyn as our tour guide. Sights were amazing, as was Joe’s knowledge and passion of Spain’s history.
