Montserrat Monastery Visit and Lunch at Farmhouse from Barcelona

Waste of Money and Time

We recently visited Barcelona and one of the main reasons for our trip was to visit Montserrat which we were very much looking forward to. Leaving from Barcelona, we were transported by bus to the Montserrat site and were told we had 1 hour to explore the site but were not provided with any information or a map to learn anything or benefit from actually being there. The highlight of the trip was to stop for a pretty decent farm to table lunch on the way back. Unfortunately, that was not the purpose of our trip. We did eventually obtain a map from the ticket office, which the guide did not know existed. Our guide was very personable but was obviously not trained or supposed to provide any information about Monserrat. At a cost of about CDN $260, we were expecting a fully guided tour. There are other much cheaper transportation options to access Monserrat if you prefer to be on your own or use a real professional guided tour, as was observed on the site. It was a very disappointing excursion.

Food and wine yummy

This was a really great tour. We loved the food at the farmhouse. It was a lot of food. It was all you could eat and drink too. The tour was also quite nice to see everything and did not feel rushed in anyway I would highly recommend it.

Delightful visit

Amazing, the guide Han is absolutely delightful and really deepen our understanding in Montserrat, we had a great time here indeed. Chef kiss to the farm restaurant here and the wine was really good. Not the best weather but I think everything is all too well, thanks to our great guide Han

Hassle free trip to Montserrat

The tour gave a hassle free way to get to Montserrat. The lunch at the farm was fun and we got to know our fellow travelers. The guide was energetic and friendly. All around worth it.

Don't Miss Montserrat!

Friends shared with us that we couldn't fail to take a trip out to Montserrat if we were going to be in Barcelona. They were right! What an amazing place to visit and learn the history of past centuries.

Beautiful views excellent meal.

We had an incredible time on this trip. Trinidad, being a history teacher, has a wealth of information and exudes enthusiasm. The highlight was the farmhouse lunch with classic Catalan food.

Han was a great tour guide. Guided our large group through the Monastery with great highlights of the area. Free time was nice, as we all were able to do as we pleased . Very comfortable and convenient.

Full Day Montserrat trip with Lunch.

Our tour guide Han was nice. Lovely place for lunch as well. The tour to Montserrat is good but I think it's a bit rushed. It would have been nicer if we spend a little bit more time to explore the place. But othet than that, everything is good.

Great experience with knowledgeable giide

Our guide, Trini, was very knowledgeable about the sites and she had a good way of explaining what we were experiencing. I loved the time spent at Montserrat and the hidden gems she pointed out. We explored the museum, which had many interesting paintings by the masters. The lunch was very enjoyable. The food and drinks were fresh and plentiful. I liked having the time after our experience on Montserrat to visit with our fellow travelers.

Incredible views & delicious lunch

The views were amazing & it just felt so peaceful there. Definitely recommend this tour. Our guide Lucas was well informed & answered all our questions. The lunch was delicious. We had our 3 kids with us, ages 16-22 & it was one of their favorite meals of our trip to Spain. The cable car was cool too & beautiful views.

Exhilarating

The extraordinary scenery. The guide was informative, The cable was a highlight and the rugged terrain is breathtaking. A must do tour when in Barcelona

Two thumbs up!

Lucas was our tour guide, and he was very personable and helpful. The tour was on schedule and well managed. Lucas was proficient in english and spanish which made it enjoyable for the whole group. Lunch was lovely but wished white wine was offered instead of only red.

Communication from World Experience was wrong - specific direction to arrive at wrong time. Bad form for time precious tourists. Guide SooYe (Zoe) was very good - quite knowledgeable - could have been more specific on history.. good presentation style for audience. Coach was great. Experience at Monastery was ok but limited in detail and info on opportunities /options to spend free time eg Museum cost / crypt visit cost / small tracks to walk. I had to google to get better picture of its history and Gaudí’s involvement.. Impressive site. Farm house experience was fine and capped of tour well. Red wine ✅

Well Worth the Time and Money

The inside of the basilica where the Black Madonna sits is absolutely amazing, the tram ride down the mountain was gorgeous, the bus was clean and comfortable, and the farmhouse lunch was very impressive. We loved this excursion! Oh, also, our guide Trinity was super enjoyable.

Lunch at farmhouse was really nice. Great food and lovely atmosphere. Basilica visit was ok. You don’t get a ticket to hear the choir and you don’t see the black Madonna up close. Trinity are guide was great!

Awesome day!

Amazing day. We thought the tour, cable car, lunch and wine were excellent. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and fun!

We would have liked more free time as it only ended up being 30 minutes so we didn’t get to do all that was available to us. Otherwise good trip and great tour guides! Thanks Han and Lucas!

Wonderful day trip- beautiful surroundings and delicious lunch! I would definitely recommend this day trip if visiting Barcelona!

Montserrat tour

Other than that hailstorm In Montserrat, everything was fine. Lucas did an excellent job in explaining all the history of this monastery. Lunch at the farmhouse was acceptable.

Han, our guide is great. We have a great time. The lunch at the Farmhouse is yummy and of good balance. The landscape is gorgeous.

Excellent. Would do it again

Andrew was amazing. He informed us of the history of the city. And took us to restaurants that were delicious and hospitable. He also explained the food options and their significance.

Montserrat Monastery

Our guide Han was extremely knowledgeable and did a fabulous job explaining everything about Montserrat to us today. You will enjoy spending the day with him.

Amazing Views! Great Tour!!!

We decided to take a day trip to Montserrat and we were not disappointed. Amazing journey from Barcelona to the stunning monastery. We saw the grounds, saw the Basilica, hit the museum, did it all!! Then we went to a farmhouse and had a great lunch. The views everywhere have been stunning. Our guide HAN was the best!! He knew all the right answers and he helped out a lot!

Han is the man

The views were absolutely incredible. Han kept the group together and ensured everyone learnt about the history and significance of everything. My friends and I hiked up the mountain and enjoyed every second of it. Han asked all about our hike when we got to the bottom, which showed he cared snd was doing all in his power to make sure we had a great time.

Good activity you can make with family or friends !! Nice spot with some legend and stories explained by the guide Han. Je recommande !!

Monserrat & lunch

Fantastic tour with Han. Scenery & historical info were just the right amount. Farmhouse lunch was spectacular, very authentic & delicious. Highly recommend!

Nice tour

The tour was well organized and our guide did a good job trying to give everyone all the info to enjoy the tour. We were able to take the cable car down the mountain, which gave us many great views. The meal at the farmhouse was very good.

Fantástico Day Journey.,SUNYi is the Best!

This tour to Montserrat, cable ride down and farmhouse lunch just got better and better. Unbelievable views and so authentic. Lovely day trip with a diverse group and Sunyi was delightful and sunny. Highly recommend as a beautiful day trip.

Fun, informative, beautiful, and delicious

Mateo was an entertaining and informative guide. He looked after everyone's needs and was fun and friendly. The scenery was beautiful, and the food delicious.

Disappointing tour

This tour was supposed to be in English, but instead it was both English and Spanish which took more time. The tour guide walked too quickly for several couples so when the slower guests finally caught up he was done speaking and immediately moved on. Should the tour guide take the pace of the slower guests, all could enjoy the information along the way. We walked right past the Farmer's Market with the expectation we would be able to return to it, however there was so little free time that we were unable to do so. The only thing good about the tour was the nature given to us by God.

The trip was very special and interesting the company was very on time and the guide Lucas was very profesional and know what his doing Overall the trip to monserrate will be unforgettable .

Truely spectacular

My wife and I had the most amazing day! Our guide Lucus went out of his way to accommodate everyone on this tour and he made this a day we will never forget! Lucas was great. He’s an amazing guide and was able to take into account the mobility difficulties of an older couple in our group, he was very sweet. It was an overall great experience and the lunch at the farmhouse was fresh, simple, and delightful. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful day and our host Lukas was very knowledgeable and made this experience fun. But the best part of the day was eating at the 300year old farmhouse. The tapas style lunch was delicious and we didn’t need to eat dinner as there was so much food. I definitely would recommend

We booked the tour for Montesarrat, Sagrada and our booking was confirmed. Next day we got a email saying our booking was cancelled 😠. You know it was blessings in disguise 🥸. We did this tour and were more than happy 😃. We got an awesome tour guide Lukas who took us through nicely. The authentic Spanish food was amazing 😻 I recommend this tour above other tours.
