Miguel is an amazing guide

Our guide Miguel was amazing! He was very personable and gave the group a great insight into Sagrada Familia and Gaudi. He added a great touch of humour to the presentation whilst still imparting the facts about the building and it's history. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend taking it, particularly if you get Miguel as your guide. On the downside, the staff in the office at Julia Travel, the tour operators, were very unfriendly and could certainly take some lessons on customer service from Miguel.

Emotional

Worth the extra for the guided tour. The details given on Gaudi, his insights given on the architecture and symbolic aspects of the temple were helpful in interpreting all your eyes were seeing. The light through the stain glass windows is unforgettable.

Not recommended

Tour guide used a mic from the Sagrada that picked up lots of background noise. Coupled with being soft spoken and talking fast, we really heard very little of the “guided” tour.

Enhanced Experience with a Knowledgeable Guide

Taking a guided tour always enhances the experience, as you learn more about the place you're visiting. In this case, the guide did a great job and met our expectations. Recommended.

Poor quality tour

This tour was very disappointing. I would recommend you find a different tour company. The guide was unintelligible, gave no background on the Sagrada Familia and we could not understand him.

Sagrada Familia

Just fabulous. The place where you get the tickets is legally right there. Very well organised. Our tour guide was very knowledge but also very funny. He gave us a quick run down, probably half an hour and said go enjoy. It is the most amazing building. I was literally in awe standing inside it, complete jaw dropping experience. Was the highlight of my month long trip

Viator disappoints again

The tour did NOT occur due to an event at the Basilica. We found out when we got to the meeting place. Viator did NOT communicate with us.

Our guide was extremely informative and very nice. Would recommend this tour to everyone. Very easy to find Julia’s Travel office.

breathtaking

It was a beautiful cathedral. Our guide was Pipo (unsure on spelling) and he was wonderful. He did a great job explaining the architect and the history of the building and how the future looks for this cathedral.

Sagrada

Our guide did a great job explaining the history of this beautiful stained glass wonder. It was more beautiful and intricate than I thought. I took alot of pictures! She did a good job in English and Spanish. I do find that since I know very little Spanish, it was a bit challenging at times for me to follow. That is just me. My husband said he had no problem following. 😀

Great day at Sahrada Familia!

Jamie was great! Very informative. I dont tink we would have gotten very much out if the visit had it not been for him. Excellent experience!

Tour of Sagrada Familia

The tour seemed very rushed . It was hard to keep up with the tour guide & understand him at times. He spoke very fast. He was very passionate about the building and knowledgeable but for the money, I did not expect so many people or to hurry through.

Amazing to see.

Tour Guide very informative and gave a good history. Disappointed could not see Tower due to rainy weather conditions or that we were not offered any refund or an alternative day to see.

Learned a lot from the tour. Great experience and had a lot of time on your own to explore too. Crowds were light in early June…key time to travel.

Fantastic tour of Sagrada Familia!

Our guided tour of Sagrada Familia was amazing! Our tour guide Oona (sp?) was knowledgeable, funny, and had a great balance between leading the tour and letting us explore for ourselves. We learned so much more about the basilica than we would have if we had just bought tickets and entered on our own individually, which was important for a couple who are not religious. The basilica has a lot of intention put into the design and without someone calling out the features we would have no idea what was intended. It was a 10/10 experience and would highly recommend booking, you won’t regret it.

Great Experience!

So, it was quite lovely tour that we opted for which gave us enough time to click pictures at the same time informative enough not to bore us! But we had some issues while before we got on to the tour. The tour operator didn't not have your booking token so the time we had booked the tour we could not join. But they later put us on another time slot. But, since we had the time we were able to adjust this otherwise it would have been a lost cause. And this happened twice, the first time Viator person really helped us out but second time I had to do it myself. But, like it is said all that ends well....

Awestruck by Gaudi.

Excellent guide with lots of knowledge about this basilica, the smart is and how it all fits into the history of Christianity and Barcelona. Highly recommend.

An average tour

The guide was nice with good spoken English. The tour itself was an average one and a bit short. I won't necevarly recommend.

Very crowded and poor guide experience

The Sagrada Familia was one of the most fascinating structures I've ever seen, mind blowing in size and architecture. Way too many in our group. Hard to keep track of our tour guide. The Familia is over crowded and our guide's English was hard to follow. Might have saved some time skipping a longer line but could have wondered through myself with similar outcome

The tour is well coordinated and the Cathedral is beautiful. Standing outside of the Cathedral in the heat with no place to sit can be tiresome for Seniors. The tour guide was very good.

Great tour with Cassandra!!

Oh my gosh!! Cassandra was an EXCELLENT guide. Very knowledgable!! So happy we bought our tickets in advance. Lines are long. Can’t recommend this tour enough. Again-Cassandra was the best!!

The tour was very interesting and we are glad we did it. Well worth it. I would recommend any in Barcelona to make this a must see.

Getting to know the history!

Seeing the beautiful inside and learning more about the history helped us understand the whole life of it! So much better than just walking around. We had heard alot about it and it didn’t disappoint us !

Spectacular location Mediocre tour

Guide Cassandra was fair - we told her we were having trouble hearing her because of the wind and she made no effort to adjust her microphone. Overpriced for not including the towers. My third visit to Sagrada Familia and my least favorite. Would not recommend. Only advantage was skip the line.

Another Ho Hum Experience of the Obviously Known

Our guide had little additional information to offer beyond what one can reasonably read. Further, her microphone was so far from her mouth that there was lots of background noise distorting her comments. The main reason to book this tour is for the skip-the-line tickets when there are no available tickets online.

Marina was excellent. Very knowledgeable. This is by far the best way to see the Sagrada Familia and well worth the cost.

Do not buy tickets in here

Loss of time and money,we paid to skip the line, we waited for one hour for Julia group tickets to get authorization, the tour guide couldn't get inside with us for some reasonwhile other tours guides have noproblem,so I really regret buying those tickets and I am placing a request to get a full refund.

Way overpriced

Over double the price of buying ticket on your own online if do in advance . Guide was good but main focus was on religious significance vs architecture style of Gaudí which we were more interested in. Was promised no more than 12 people in group yet 24 people were in tour plus an extra one who showed up and delayed tour start. Felt crowded. Tour was only 45 minutes. Way overpriced.

La Sagrada Familia - Great Experience in Barcelona

Excellent tour and well worth it. Our guide explained many of the features of both the exterior and interior of the church. The church is always busy and crowded, and it was nice to have a guide with a headset so we could hear him and really understand the significance of what we were seeing.

It was amazing to learn about the history and on-going construction of this wonder. The guide was very well informed.

Best Tour Ever!

Oliver was more than welcoming he really integrated the group plus he is bilingual. I went by myself and didn't feel awkward nor out of group as Oliver created an amazing environment.

Good not great-guided tour not needed

Decent tour. Group too large to really have a good experience listening to guide. Waited almost 20 minutes for guide to secure entrance tickets. Did not really experience “fast track” as the tour explained. Guide was very knowledgeable but hard to hear even with head set. Would have been better off buying our own tickets and touring on our own.

Very late

Tour guide was 40 minutes late (blamed traffic). Tour then felt rushed. Was in both Spanish & English which was not easy to follow. No spiral access.

Our guide was TERRIBLE!

Anne was a TERRIBLE guide. She hardly explained anything in any detail. She went very fast through the tour and lost the group several times because she was walking so fast. She ended the tour 10 minutes early even though we started late due to technical problems with her transmitter. She should not be a guide especially at the premium price we paid.
