Oliver was great guide but Tower NOT included

We thought the visit to tower was included as it was ticked on our email and ticket But it was Not included and guide Oliver was gone when we tried to visit tower. Very disappointed!

A wonderful tour of sagrada familia.

The guide was very detailed about every aspect of Gaudi and sagrada familia. He encouraged questions and made the tour enjoyable I left with a deep understanding of the visions of gaudi.

Fabulous, Must do visit! Wish I had done more homework and booked with a more specialized tour.

Very misleading! Do NOT recommend. Since we had done several other tours in Barcelona,we met at the front of the attraction.I clearly didn't read the fine print. We were supposed to meet at a nearby tourist office. Very large group waiting. Our tour was at 5pm and we waited until 5:30 to be assigned A or B group. 30 people in each group with both English and Spanish speaking clients. The guide does the tour in Spanish, immediately followed by English. I would never have signed up for this tour if I knew it was bilingual. Lots of information and details, which should only be provided in your language. Our guide Oriolle was quite nice and accommodating, but it was difficult to continually go from one language to the other. This is where I think the tour was misleading.The cost was quite high considering the service provided. We loved the Church and were mezmerized by the beauty and light as we entered. The light and windows are spectacular. On the exterior, we especially liked the opposite side depicting stories of Christ's life...33 years on earth. A MUST see, but I would book again with a different operator. I would spend the extra $ for a Private group tour. It is very special!

Colors best at dusk or dawn

Way too crowded and would have gone at sunset to see the amazing rainbow colors inside the church. Guide was really great though. Worth the money but would do a private tour next time and maybe cut the Everest to Summit backlog of people trying to get in

Glad we took this tour

This was a very interesting and informative tour. The guide was very attentive and helpful when my earphones failed to work.

No tickets despite having a reservation!!!

When we arrived at the ticket agency to redeem our viator voucher, they did not have tickets for us. We had a booking number and all the emails viator sent us, but they would not issue us tickets because they didn’t have our reservation on their end of the system. This was our last day in Barcelona and we were headed to the airport right after the tour time we scheduled so that didn’t leave us many options. So we had to wait around and hope someone else didn’t show up for the tour. It was stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend anyone booking through boat or in the future. We traveled from the US to Spain and will likely not be able to come back.

Great tour

Very informative & fun tour. We learned a lot about Gaudi & his planning process. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re visiting Barcelona.

This was so so. The headset wasn't working great and made it difficult to hear the guide. We paid for the tower tour and were not reminded or told where we could gain access however the gift shop was mentioned 3 or 4 times. We did not ever get to the tower. The place was packed so I'd go early however you decide to do a tour. The Basilica itself is incredible and and a true masterpiece.

Roberto was very knowledgeable and engaging. He made it a very interesting tour and the time flew by. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour - must do

Incredible!!! This is a must do if you are in Barcelona! It is not a long tour and they give good background and info on Segrada.

Not worth it

The guide was not personal at all. He basically memorized a script. Our money would have been better spent on something else. The church was incredible, but would not recommend booking through this travel agent.

Raul was excellent. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable. Well paced. Good info. Great story teller. Included everyone. Right balance of info, time to look, where to go. Highly recommend Raul. So glad we spent the money on a guided tour - we would have missed so much, otherwise. Raul has really done his research and welcomes questions.

Nice views

The views inside and out of the cathedral were very good, especially with the afternoon sunlight shining on the windows. This tour and other tours are way too well attended and so the place is mobbed and noisy, which made the experience tiresome. The guide did a comprehensive job of explaining the sights. We had to go through a security check just like the airport.

Good tour of the Sagrada Familia if you don't have alot of time

My husband enjoyed this tour and our first visit to this architectural masterpiece . The tour started and ended on time and our guide spoke good English and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour.

Bad experience at Julia Travel

Our vouchers were written in Spanish . We thought the voucher are the tickets . We we at at the Sagrada Familia gate and was misguided by the security and lost about 15-20 mins . So , we got little late by about 15-20 mins . We requested the Julia Travel staff to reschedule us . But they were so so rude to help us , instead said the only option is pay 29 Euros per head extra . Whatever the situation might have been , atleast the staff could have been polite and courteous towards us being tourist . But they were highly unprofessional and rude . Would never recommend anyone to use this agency.

English monolingual tour of sagrada familia

Did the monolingual English sagrada familia tour. The tour was AWESOME. Our tour guide was super good, informative, passionate. Learnt so much about the basilica and gaudi. We had head sets so everyone can hear clearly. The tour itself lasts around an hour. Not counting the time it takes to get through security (around half an hour) Highly recommend.

La Sagrada Familia a personal experience to encourage all to see.

This was a very well organized tour. We had a meeting point, an easy check in for tickets, and then, with our guide, we walked across the street to learn all about the Sagrada Familia from the outside to the inside. Our guide was fun courteous and very knowledgeable. Everything’s and out of the basilica has an explanation and purpose. It’s beautiful inside; it’s positive; it’s happy note: One of our group has a bit difficulty walking: the tour guide was aware and made it possible for him to take an elevator rather than stair to the man level of the basilica Thank you. I highly recommend this fast track guided tour.

Great tour with friends!

Really informative tour guide, she gave a ton of history and background of the building itself and it’s architecture as well as about Gaudi and the other builders. Tour was very easy to locate.

Sagrada Familia is a must see.

The tour was a good size. We had trouble hearing her because the wind interrupted the transmission of her words. Although she gave good information, it was difficult to understand her sometimes because of her accent and she talked so fast.

Easy to access with timed-entry tickets

The tour started on time and the office is across the street. The guide was knowledgeable, but her English was difficult to understand, and this was promoted as the “English-speaking” tour.

I was last here in 1976-quite a bit different and interesting to see and hear just how far-sighted Gaudí was!

La Sagrada Familia

Our tour guide was Irina. She was terrific. Great explanation for everything that we viewed. She was very knowledgeable. La Sagrada Familia is a must see for anyone visiting Barcelona.

If you love art and history I would highly recommend this tour! Marc P was an amazing tour guide he pointed out interesting facts and details I would have never known about if I didn’t take a tour. I normally never book tour guides and like to explore on my own but because of the amazing detail this beautiful basilica has to show, we decided to go with a tour and I have no regrets. After the tour we were also able to take our time and explore on our own and take pictures. We wanted to go up the tower I must warn you though the elevator goes up and then you take stairs going down. I did not mind this in fact I’m glad I did it but for those who have troubles with stairs and claustrophobia, I would think twice!

Skip the line & tour of La Sagrada Familia Basilica

The Basilica was stunning, and our tour guide was very informative on the history of it. I would highly recommend.

Great tour

Excellent and knowledgeable guide. All was great except the tour states that no sandals but most the people visiting were wearing them. Need to update the trip guide so it is accurate.

Horrible

The tour had 30 people total, with half English and half Spanish speaking. It took a good 40 minutes to get through the “fast track” which literally took longer than people without fast track. The worst part was it took 15 min to do English than 15 min to do Spanish, so it was waiting in the blazing heat more than getting information. We left early as we waited 1:45 min to get inside and get some details. Terribly organized company, use another company with better management. Not worth the money. We literally skipped our tour for the Park Guell as we didn’t want a repeat day with frustrations on our vacation. We have tickets for the City tour bus as well and will probably avoid this as well…USE ANOTHER COMPANY so you don’t waist your money..

Bad

This is just a way to make things cost more. We were late due to confusing instructions. You don’t go to activity, you go to an office near the event. By the time you figure it out you are late, no refunds or credit for the next tour. Very touristy rip off to do your.

Our trip to Sagrada Familia was excellent. Our Tour guide Rafael made our trip exceptional . He was so friendly , informative and patient. We learned many interesting facts and recommend this trip

A nice guided tour with guide Mark around and inside the Sagrada Familia. He gave a lot of information about the building and constuction.

Beautiful site

Guide had a strong spanish accent and was sometimes hard to understand. he also moved very fast in the crowded cathedral it was sometimes difficult to find him and keep up.

Sagrada Famalia tour

Vincent is truely a 5 star guide. He had a sense of humor,knowlede, and passion. The tour was marshaled along right on schedule and as many points highlighted as possible. The Sagrada is a must visit and a must visit with a guide like Vincenzo.

Not considerate At All

I had a terrible experience. The local organization who was running the tour is the worst. I arrived 2:17 pm while the tour is at 2. Yes, there was a delay on my behalf; yet, there should be 15 minutes window. Anyway, they refused to let me be on the tour. Okay, this is not the issue, it is what happened after. Due to wanting to visit the place, I asked to have another similar tour later. They didn't bother to make a discount (despite they have this offer that if u have a previous tour with them you can get a discount on the next...and i was just been kicked out of one!) Still, it is their right. I booked another one at 5pm, same day...and while doing so, the one at the office said it is in Spanish. I said, I don't bother...and here comes the worst miscommunication ever; I found a hail of instructions about how a tour works! Seriously, at least have the decency of putting into consideration what (me) the customer going through of a day that changed, extra/double money paid and not making a fuss. At this point, I said book it and that's it as they refused to even listen to the fact that I understand the language, so I've had it. Do you think it ends here, NO! Came at 5 for the second tour. Here is the what took place. We left 5 exactly, even 2 people were coming in as we were leaving, they were told to catch us later! Hmmm. Not only that, we stayed around 50 minutes out side Sagrada Familia for the guide explaining  in Spanish and French - outside for that time - if this is how the tour works...I could have caught my original one. Not only that, at the same time, there was another tour leaving to the same place in the middle of the whole group muttering in french to at least stand with french speakers maybe I will understand something as - and I quote - " I don't understand what is she doing here" and the reaction of the tourists was...well you can imagine. I replied in both languages indicating that I do understand both, it is just that I don't speak them! He was surprised and apologized (obviously he was miss informed) To wrap it all up, at the end, the guide leaves us unattended nor supervised - as claimed earlier -  after his explanation duty was finished. The way I see it, the matter should have been handled differently.

Inside the Sagrada Família...

Having visited Barcelona twice before and never been able to get inside the thing, we pre-booked our tour before we arrived. We bought two “10 journey” metro tickets and set off. The metro was a doddle; one change at Diagonal, and we got back into the sunshine right next to SF. The Julia travel office was just across the street. (There’s a coffee shop with toilets just down the side street and an ice cream shop-essential in the heat) Our group was about 20 people, but our guide Maria-Carmen guided us around to the Aspe side and explained all of the relief carvings and the significance of the spires. Once inside, the sights are magnificent and she kept us together (tough job) and told us so much about the interior design that it made the visit even more awe inspiring. A long waited for treat that doesn’t disappoint. Oh, and when the tour is over, don’t leave - go visit the museum under the SF for free. Well worth it.

**WARNING COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!! **

Honestly it’s so sad having to write a company a bad review but sadly it has to be done.I came to visit barcelona for the first time with my bestfriend and we decided to just do a lot of stuff before we leave. I bought two tickets to go see sagrada familia at 5:00 and spent more than $100 for both tickets. I bought my tickets through “Getmyguide.com” and it’s not the first time i have bought tickets from there. I had an activity to do through that app and i had no problem with it, i was there on time and did what i had to do. It came to the day that I had the tour, being on a whole different country means you don’t know where you’re going or if you’ll even have any signal. With my first activity it had the location of where i was supposed to go with this activity I imagined it would be at sagrada familia. So i head there get in line and just my luck my phone had no signal so i couldn’t load my tickets so i has to wait till they loaded (keep in mind this was before 5:00). I go back in line and show the ticket to the lady and she tells me to go to the back of the church 5 min go by it’s already 5:05. I got to the back of the church wait in line 10 more minutes for them to tell me that i’m supposed to get my tickets from a vendor which is another 5 min walk to get to the other side of the street. I get to julia travel and i show the girl in the front desk everything and it’s already 5:20 and they close im guessing at 5:30. So she looked at me with annoyed face and tells me “I’m sorry you’re late, the tour left without you”. I’m over here furious because the had us walk around like chickens and for them to end up telling the tour left and i couldn’t do anything about it. You can imagine me almost yelling at the girl because she didn’t want to help me A customer! I was asking for a refund but apparently it was my fault so they couldn’t and she never even suggested about another tour because i’m guessing she wanted to go home but i mean if you’re open you still have to help your customers. Im there trying to fix my problem and the girl goes well i have a tour for tomorrow at 9 but i’d have to charge you $22 extra im over here like what??? it should be free of charge. I wasn’t sure whether to do it because i planned to do it that day because i was going to be leaving at 12 that day and she was like “if you really want to go like you say you do you need to decided now if you want the tickets or not because we’re closed.” so I went ahead and bought them. Come back the next day im there like 20 min early, go to the tour just for me to take pictures because i couldn’t stay to hear the tour. It was such a waste of money to go there when you can go somewhere else where they treat you right and not rush you. Btw customers came in to ask questions and they kept saying they were closed and they were treating other customers sad.

Excellent Choice

Normally I avoid guided tours. I decided to book this for the Fast Track, the insights (didn't want to miss out on details), the location for meet-up (right beside the entrance), and the radio headphones so the dreaded situation of having to glom on to the guide or risk missing every other word in the back could be avoided. I'm so glad I did! Monserat was our guide. She was passionate about Barcelona and Sagrada Familia history. She was warm, funny, informative and very stylish making it easier keep track of her among the crowd. (She said, "I'm the only guide with red hair so you can't lose me!") Plan to reach the office early and present your pre-purchased tickets to the front desk. They sort the various tours that meet at that location into language groups, which can be confusing but ultimately works well. Arriving early gives you a chance to meet the others in your group and a chance to use the facilities before setting off. There are toilets for use once inside the cathedral grounds but they are on the opposite side to where the tour begins and it will be an hour or so before arriving there. We skipped the towers and it was more than enough for us to see the main cathedral. We walked to Sagrada Familia from the Gothic Quarter. Easy walking paths throughout the city, navigable via Google Maps, gave us a chance to explore on the way there and back. From other reviews it sounds like a successful experience can depend a lot on your guide. If you are looking for an English speaker I can recommend Monserat, Julia Tours/Headout. They are organized and professional. We learned a lot and had a great day and the Fast Track was fantastic. Money well spent.

Very well organized

Obviously the church was amazing!! But the tour was very well organized too & ran on time. Felt incredibly sorry for out tour guide as everyone kept quitting the tour as it was just stinking hot!! Only five left at end. He was great, nothing personal!

La Sagrada Familia Tour

don't give 1's. The guide, Isabelle left my handicapped wife & I & promised to return in "5-10 minutes". She left us in the hot sun. Not good for my wife with MS. After 45 minutes, my wife approached security & asked if Isabelle's tour group had gone inside yet. They checked, said yes, & were nice enough to let us inside La Sagrada Familia. Amidst thousands of people I spotted our group. I asked Isabelle why she had left us. She replied innocently in front of the group, "Oh, didn't you see me?", like it was somehow our fault. If she had been honest & said "So sorry. I forgot you.", I would have been dissapointed, but it would have been ok. But since she chose to be dishonest about what happened I said "Shame on you for leaving a handicapped person behind", to which she said very sarcastically, "I'm going to cry tears in my bed about this tonight." At that point I told her to just go away. Some other tourists were so kind to give us their headsets since Isabelle didn't seem prepared. At the point we put their headsets on prepared to go on Isabelle again confronted me aggressively & said "I am responsi bl e for those headsets. Are you going to be part of this group or not? Otherwise give them to me." I said "What does it look like?" At this point, my wife, WHO DOES NOT CRY had tears rolling down her cheeks. Isabelle continued. I gave her the headsets, apologized to the group for the trouble & we left. We deserve our money back, but I am sure that will never happen who have chosen such a dishonest & uncompassionate person. TRUST ME. STAY AWAY.

Terrible guide

Our guide was shockingly bad and believed, he was suffering from a hangover. The narrative was so disjointed, it was painful to listen, so we decided to switch off and continue ourselves. Luckily, architecture did not disappoint!
