Dali Museum, House & Cadaques Small Group Tour from Barcelona

Didn’t end up going (company rescheduled tour without offering refund)

We didn’t go on this tour and the company didn’t seem to care or offer a refund. We were booked to go on Friday. On Thursday with less than 24 hours notice, they told us they had to cancel our tour and only offered to reschedule. They didn’t offer a refund. We agreed to reschedule because we thought we had no other choice and changed our travel itinerary to fit the trip for Saturday. When we woke up on Saturday morning, my partner was too sick to get out of bed. When I messaged the company to let them know, they said we can’t get a refund because we didn’t give them a 24 hour notice. When in fact they did the same to us. They didn’t care that she was sick. It was all very upsetting because we really wanted to go and could have gone on Friday as originally planned. Alas, we don’t get the same courtesy they do apparently.

Excellent tour and scenic drive

Our guide, Nu was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject matter and also drove us safely to and from the Dalí museum and the Dalí house. An excellent tour and scenic drive combined. Plenty of time allowed at each location as well as time for lunch along the waterfront.

Alex as a great tour guide. He shared a lot of information about Dali, and about the house and museum we visited. Would recommend this tour!

Dali tour

Tour from Barcelona to Dali museum in Figuernes was excellent, nice lunch and Gelato in Cadeques- more time for browsing would have been fabulous but full day so understandable. Ended with tour of Dali's house with Gala, very interesting! Our guide, Nu, was extremely knowledgeable, educating us about Dali during ride. Definitely recommend!

Great Dali tour

Nu was a great guide. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and did a great job of keeping us rounded up and on schedule. Both the Dali museum and the Dali house were interesting and we had sufficient time in each place, as well as time for lunch. It was a lovely drive through the countryside to the seaside and back again. Very highly recommended.

Must do in Barcelona

Alex was a great guide. He has so much knowledge to share. My entire group was thrilled to have him as our guide.highly recommend this tour! Learned so much about Dalí.

In Search of Salvador Dali 5 Stars

Excellent and enthusiastic guide: Marc, who told us all about the life of Dali, and answered all our questions fully and candidly. Wonderful driver (even on switchbacks):: Toni. Bravo! This is The Art tour for any Salvador Dali fan. 1) The Museum designed by him in his hometown of Figueres. Wonderful art and exhibits. Also great gift shops inside and directly outside the museum. 2) Lunch on your own in one of the many seaside restaurants in Cadaques. 3) An optional interior visit (€15 and well worth it) to Dali’s rabbit warren cliff side home at the shore in Port Lligat. Every room looks as if he had just stepped away. Not even a sudden rainstorm in Cadaques kept us from enjoying the full day tour (8:30 am to 7:30 pm) Highly recommended.

Mind blowing experience from one of the greatest artist's of the modern era and a fantastic tour guide in Alex.

Immersive Dali Tour

Visited the Dali Museum, Cadeques, and his home in Port Lligat. My tour guide was Alex and shuttle bus driver was George. As a Dali fan it was a great experience, visiting the areas where he grew up and lived, visiting the museum in Figures, and seeing where and how he lived. Our tour guide Alex was very knowledgeable and friendly, and was able to provide a good deal of information about Dali, Gala, and the area. Our driver George was new, but still did a great job getting us around safely. Note: this is an all day trip. We left at 8:30 am and got back around 7:15pm. Because there are three stops time is limited at each stop. That said, it was worth the money and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Salvador Dali, or even someone who just wants to learn more about the artist and his life.

Perfect daytrip for art lovers

We appreciated Alex’s vast knowledge about Dali, and left with a renewed respect for this interesting artist. It was a perfect day trip out of Barcelona. The museum and home were well worth the time, and so nice to leave the navigation to someone else!

This tour was a great way to see all the areas of Dalí’s life north of Barcelona. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I’d highly recommend this experience.

All round great experience!

I would highly recommend this tour. The guide, Sergio, was very skilled in making the trip fun as well as educational. He has ample knowledge on Dali as well as the culture and history of the places we visited. He managed to make the experience very interesting and engaging with anecdotes, jokes and questions. We also had enough time to explore on our own after the guided part of the tour in each place. Transportation was comfortable and the trip was designed well.

I had an amazing Dali tour with Nu and highly recommend this if you have any interest in Dali! The tour is focused on learning about who Dali was as a person and it is a nice supplement to the iconic locations you visit.

Great Tour with Xavier

Fantastic tour and our guide Xavier made it all possible. Everything was well organized and flowed well throughout the entire day. We enjoyed a comfortable buss ride to the museum with excellent commentary by Xavier. Our trip to Dali’s house was another pleasant ride with good insight of what to expect. This was a top notch experience and would highly recommend.

Great Dali tour

Tour was great! We learned a great deal about Dali, his life and his work. The guide was great at telling details just Dali, that you would not necessarily learn from reading about him. My wife loved the Dali jewels and the small restaurant where we ate lunch before going back to Barcelona.

Excellent Barcelona Day Trip

I highly recommend this trip! If you are a Dalí fan, it’s a must. You can’t see the museum and home in a more efficient way. Cadaques was a charming stop. We had a nicely sized new bus that could seat 31. This was much more comfortable than a mini van with bench seating for three in each row. Stephen had a great combination of commentary and time to on your own.

All 3 sites were great. The museum is frenetic, but so Dali’. Cadaques is beautiful and worth a day trip in its own. Highly recommend this trip.

Best art tour by an amazing guide

The trip was very well designed and planned. A special thanks to our amazing guide Alex and driver Petro. Couldn’t have had a better experience without their professionalism, vast knowledge, attention to detail, and pleasant personality. Alex spent a hour in the bus explaining to me about this and that, all because I was curious about a question unrelated to the tour. Places were amazing. Stories heard that day will not be forgotten.

Well organized trip with plenty of time at each place. Our guide Nou gave us a wonderfully detailed explanation of Dalí’s life that really made the tour memorable.

The time is worth it

Our guide was terrific . I loved CadAques . Alec directed us to the perfect restaurant , his favorite , and it was .fabulous. He had many interesting stories about Dali He had done his research. I thought the museum is a must see and also Dalis house. I give the experience 5 out of 5 stars. Thank you

A great day out

Marcelo, our driver was really friendly and polite and during the journey gave some background on Dali. Being collected from the hotel made the day much easier. I was 6th out of 7 and felt sorry for the first guy who'd been in the minibus for nearly an hour before we left Barcelona! Dali Museum - I didn't realise (or probably forgot) that we had to visit by ourselves. I would have understood/appreciated more with a guide by my side. I guess I should have bought a book beforehand! Cadaques was just beautiful - a great location for a quick tapas lunch and glass of sangria before exploring some of the town. Dali's house at Port Lligat was a very interesting visit - it must have been idyllic to live there!

Sun, art, food, and the coast

Very informative and entertaining. Even if you’re not a Dali fan, this trip has gorgeous views, a great lunch trip, and a trip to the coast. Nuria knows everything there is to know about Dali!

Fantastic!

Very informative if you are interested in Dali. Our guide Nu was amazing giving us a lot of information she was also attentive and professional in every way with clear instructions. Loved having a smaller group. You won’t regret the views or the glimpse into Dali’s personal space.

Good tour but needs some tweaks

Enrica was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and the driver was very safe. Although it was a very long day, the tour was most enjoyable. I would suggest that they offer bottled water on the tour. My only complaint was that it was a somewhat long walk to the bus from the office and, even worse, they let us off (because of traffic?) early instead of delivering us back to the Plaza Catalunya. We needed GPS to find our hotel.

Getting to know Dali and Catalonia’s Coastal Communities

On the way to Figueres, where Dali museum is located, our tour guide, Berta, provided a background on Dali from his childhood and how his upbringing influenced his work later. Then the tour, through a scenic rout, continued to Cadaqués and the neighboring Portlligat where Dali’s home was. Of course, Cadaqués is tourist attraction by itself. I bought the separate ticket to see inside of Dali’s home in neighboring Portlligat. Dali’s home was deeper and more private reflection of Dali’s thinking and his work.

An Incredible, Informative Tour Into the World of Dalí!

If you are a fan of Salvador Dalí's work, the opportunity to visit his museum, his birth city, and his home all in one trip is the chance of a lifetime. On the drive from Barcelona, our guide, (Nu), provided us with an astonishingly in-depth retrospective on Dalí's life that provided plenty of context in which to better understand his oeuvre. Seeing the light playing on the water near his home in Port Lligat helped illuminate the inspiration he must have had for many of the seascapes in his paintings. I heartily recommend this tour to fans of Dalí and art history in general. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent guide Nu, who is knowledgable and the journey is well paced. No rush.

Nu is very knowledgeable about Dali and provides excellent insights of his life. She is cheerful and passionate about her work which makes the journey much enjoyable.

We had Dali experience with Nou. She is a wounderful guide and the excellent driver. She told us a lot about Salvadore’s life and art. The day with Nou was amazing!

A Dali day, Funday in Barcelona

Our guide NU and driver pedro had a great wealth of knowledge about Dali & Cana including their freakish lifestyle. Understanding the players, as well as understanding much more about the art itself, made the day pleasurable for me very new and unique perspective. This is a tour that shouldn't be missed. Be aware it is a long day, but it is a day well worth spending if you want to enjoy some fine art.

Our tour guide was Nuria - very energetic and knowledgeable person ! We learned a lot about Salvador Dali life and history of Spain.. Nuria also gave us very clear instructions on timing and meeting points as well. We visited Dali museum as well as Dali house. I wish we have more time to spend in the house and garden. Overall we are very happy with the trip and our tour guide. Highly recommend this tour with Nuria.

I did the Dali museum and seaside cottage tour. It was a small group of 8 and Nu, the tour guide was absolutely fantastic. We all had a lovely day. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience...

Excellent experience overall. Marc is a brilliant, enthusiastic and helpful guide and Aleix a safe, reliable driver. Just one suggestion - maybe a little more time in Dali Museum. The Museum had closed the Jewellery section on the day of our visit (not Viator's fault!) but we still felt we could have done with more time in the main museum. Dali house and garden well worth the visit. A really enjoyable and memorable day.
