Adi gave a thorough and entertaining walking tour through the historic, stone-lined, streets of ancient Barcelona. He pointed out bricks, stones, signs and hidden crevices all telling a tale of how Judaism has been integral in the foundation of the city. He met us in the square that he directed us to with the original booking.

We did a private tour of the Jewish Quarter with our lovely, super talented, knowledgeable and friendly guide Ella. She met us promptly with a smile 😀 at the appointed time and place. We walked the quarter for about two hours getting a detailed explanation of many things we saw. Also gained many insights from Ella’s personal narrative. Unique experience

Our guide Adi was extremely knowledgeable about the Jews of a Barcelona. He took us around the Jewish section as well as providing additional information about our surroundings. He was funny too! The meeting place was not the same storefront as stated in our reservation. We walked around the plaza a few times until Adi found us. The storefront meeting place needs to be updated.

Adi Mahler was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who brought to life the history of Barcelona Jewish history. His tour was the best of our entire time in spain. Ask for him by name! Do the private tour. It's worth it!

TOUR FALLS SHORT

Our tour guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we were given a obsolete and now non-existing meeting place by Viator. As a result, we did not find our tour guide until 1/2 hour into our tour. It was apparent that Viator does not verify information sent by their contracted touring companies. In addition, I have requested some sort of compensation for this oversight and our abbreviated tour. I have not heard anything from the touring company or Viator although both have been notified. It has led me to believe that Viator is nothing more than a clearing house for tour appointments as they take no responsibility for tours that have problems that need solutions. I would strongly recommend you use another touring company for this tour.

Fantastic & full of hidden gems!

Edo was excellent. Such a vast knowledge of Barcelona’s, Jewish history and beyond. He made it interesting and since it was just my husband and me, very personal. The tour was the perfect length and fascinating, a lot of history of which I wasn’t aware. It would be difficult to find many of these hidden treasures on your own.

Very informative experience

We had a great time on this tour! Maya was a wonderful, and very knowledgeable guide. The tour route was well thought out and she picked interesting spots to stop and tell us the story of the Jewish community in Barcelona from the most ancient evidence to the time of their expulsion. Our tour guide Adi provided a thorough history of the the Barcelona Jewish Quarter, tracing it's importance and significance in Jewish history. Adi is knowledgeable, personable, engaging, quick on his feet with a wink in his eye, and thoroughly experienced. We also visited the Jewish Quarters of Girona and Besalu in a one day combined trip, where we had meaningful spiritual and historically based experiences.

A well spent morning in Barcelona

Adi was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable as well as witty and articulate. He was very well versed in the ancient history of the Jewish Quarter of Barcelona and explained it very well. He pointed out ancient Hebrew makings in the walls.We learned a lot and ended our visit with great churros too!

Important tour and knowledge

We had a 2 hour tour with Teresa (sorry if misspelled), and she was amazing. I have been to Barcelona once before and I have been to the Jewish quarter. My wife and son and I found Teresa very knowledgeable and she added good insights. I would definitely recommend.
