Worst experience ever. This tour was not what we expected and nothing was planned in advance. We did not feel that our guide, Marina, had prepared any stops and we only recieved minimal food for 7 persons at the 2 stops we visited. This was part of a bachelorette trip and our guide made us feel uncomfortable with the outfits we were wearing as she thought they were ‘too dressy’. Both places were last resorts, after walking around for 40 mins to closed/full restaurants. First stop took nearly 90 mins to receive only 3 tapas total and we were placed at the back where no one was able to serve us (next to cooking supplies like sacks of potatoes). We were then taken to another place where the guide let us know since her time was almost up that she would drop us off at the next place and leave. We did not feel like that was a safe option as we all have never been to the city so opted out of that. Would not book this again and would have appreciated a more organized/planned experience for the amount of money we paid.

Excellent Tour Host

We had a great time with our tour guide and learned a lot about Spain and Catalunya. I would highly recommend this tour for people with curious minds and open hearts.

Great tapas, vermouth, and interesting conversation.

RK was a very good host. He took the time to explain many things about the differences in vermouth and introduced us to a variety of tapas. He is also a great listener and ensured we safely caught a cab back to our hotel. This is a fun way to learn more about Barcelona.

Tapas and wine tour

Had a wonderful time with Sebastian. He showed us the bars the locals love as well as some great recommendations. Felt like we had a friend showing us around. Highly recommend.

Alessandro was the perfect guide!

Our evening felt just like being out with a friend. We enjoyed 3 stops at places with different specialties and different atmospheres. We loved them all and could have easily spent more time talking with Alessandro!

Fun tapas and wine with locals

We had a small group of 6. We were taken to 3 favorite places of our guide Gonzalo. Each place had different tapas that locals enjoy. Each had different wines or local cider. I would recommend this tour.

A Great Night Out In Barcelona

We enjoyed our night with Federico a ton. It was a low key evening of tapas and drinks at a nice pace with great conversation—ranging from history to architecture, music to politics. It was a lovely night out for our family of four.

BOOK AN EVENING WITH KRISZTINA

Krisztina gave us a great introduction to Barcelona. We highly recommend her and have already told friends to book her when they come in a couple of weeks. We went to several smaller Toscas and were introduced to fabulous tapas and the drinks were perfect. We wish we had the time to book another tour with Krisztina and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the conversation! She is a delight!! Thank you again!!

Met with Krisztina and she took us on a lovely guided tour through Barcelona. Trying some great tapas along the way, whilst she explained about the beautiful city of Barcelona.

Enjoyable experience

The tour was very good, my wife and l had a really enjoyable time with our guide RK. It was an informative and relaxing evening as he he guided us through the history and significance of wine and food in the Catalan region. We stopped at three different tapas bars and savoured the food and drink from each. We would highly recommend for those that are newcomers to this style of dining.

Silvina was a delight to have as a guide to walk us through areas of Barcelona that we would not have otherwise explored. She was a gracious hostess and the whole family enjoyed her company!

Private , Local Tapas and Beverage Tour

Gounso, “With Locals” was a wonderful guide. It was just the 3 of us. Gounso told us about 4 different areas of Barcelona and a large market then walked with us through 2 different areas pointing out sites and taking us by 3 stops at local tapas restaurants for a different tapa and beverage at each place. All very good and local. Then he gave us some tips on other places to shop and eat. I would highly recommend!

Great Intro to Barcelona

Krisztina was just what we needed on our first night in Barcelona. We're traveling through Spain and Portugal for our honeymoon and thought having a local show us some of their favorite spots would be better than trying to learn it on the fly. Krisztina treated us to a great night. We had great food & drink in the less touristy areas, great conversation and a lot of laughs.

Great experience

Kriztina was an excellent guide. We went to places we would not have known about if we had not done done this tour. We enjoyed great food and great company. Highly recommend this as a unique way to experience the city.

Octavio Rocks!

We had a great time with Octavio! He took us to 2 great spots for drinks and tapas! We had such wonderful conversation and learned a lot about Barcelona’s history and politics! He also gave us suggestions for lunch upon our return to Barcelona before flying home and that place was unbelievable~ to the wine and the food!!! Definitely was worth it and we made a friend in the process! 😊

Tapas bars we would have never found on our own

Thanks to Gonzalo for a wonderful night of tapas and wine. Before our tour started, I had to explain to Gonzalo that my stomach was a bit off that day. He took the time to stop at a pharmacy and explain my issue to the non-English speaking woman at the desk. The pills worked and saved the experience. We learned quite a bit about the city and life in Barcelona from a local - awesome time!

Wonderful Night on the Town with Silvina!

Our night with Silvina was exceptional. She took us to wonderful places, was open and informative, and by the end of the evening, we felt like locals and that we had made a new friend.

Local flavor!

My daughter and I met Silvinia in San Antoni and went to three restaurants. The Pinchos and drinks were delicious and the local company was sooo appreciated!

A Taste of Barcelona

Tour guide chose drinks and tapas at first stop. Not a fan of either. Enjoyed being able to choose own tapa and drink at last stop! Didn't know we could have had that option for the entire tour. Wish there was more of a plan. Guide was very nice, from the states, but ended up getting lost a bit, so we had a detour. I would definitely book another tour, just make it so we could choose our tapas and drinks and get a list of bars we would stop at along the way.

Laura was very knowledgeable about the area, the food, and most importantly the wine. Also provided us some great insights to the culture and growth of the Spanish communities that we wondered through enjoying the cuisine and wine. Provided additional recommendations we will be visiting also.

Moises is awesome

Moises is part foodie, part guide, part historian and all mensch! Terrific couple of hours. We found places we would not have found on our own and enjoyed being treated like honored guests and not ugly American tourists!

No Show

Guide did a “no show” at the meeting place. Very disappointing as we walked a mile to get to the meeting spot. I would not use this company again.

Great evening activity for experiencing tapas like a local

If your are interested in Spanish culture food and drink then this tour is for you. Moses was an excellent guide. We loved been shepherded around by local.

Waste of time waiting for guide who never showed up.

Tour guide never showed up.. waste of an evening. Have asked for a full refund and will blacklist your agency.

Fantastic evening with a great guide!

Moises was an excellent guide! He took us to a local area for delicious tapas and very local wines. Each place was unique and the service was phenomenal at all of them.

Authentic and excellent experience in new neighborhoods

Walking the various neighborhoods with Lusi was fun and interesting. Food stops were authentic and excellent choices. Got a bonus rooftop city view too. All in all a most enjoyable evening with a delightful and interesting lady.

Amazing Tour with Moises

Moises was such an amazing guide. So engaging. We were a little hesitant about the tour after hearing we were the only people attending, but as soon as the tour started we were so happy it turned out to be the case. Moises was so engaging and brought us to local neighborhood places off the tourist path. Highly recommend.

Superb experience!!

We travel quite a bit and we very often book local tours. This experience was wonderful. Our guide, Moistes (I am not sure I am spelling it correctly) was amazing. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable and fun to be with. He was a textbook of knowledge about the cuisine and the wines. He found out what we liked and disliked and ordered accordingly and perfectly. It was such a great time. We wished we had more than the 2 hours which he actually spent more time with us than that. The time went by so fast! We highly recommend this tour and our guide!!

Perfect introduction to Barcelona - as done byt the locals!

Had a lovely 2 and a half hour tour around some local neighbourhoods in the company of Sebastian. The evening felt so relaxed and Sebastian was easy to talk to and get along with, and he gave us an excellent insight in to how the locals enjoy their evenings in Barcelona. The types of wines that we were given were varied and all were excellent - all of which were paired with some excellent local tapas and pinxto dishes - the tortilla for example had to be tasted to be believed! The conversation flowed as good as the wine, no topic was off the table, and we would thoroughly recommend this tour as an excellent introduction to the local way of life. We enjoyed it so much, we visited a couple of the neighbourhoods again the following evening - says it all! Thank you Sebastian - 'salut' and 'iechyd da'!

Amazing!

I was traveling alone. This tour was just perfect. My guide was amazing. He took me around town I would never find or look for. He told me much about history, food, Best restaurants-away from touristy parts and I had amazing tapas!!! great time. I would strongly recommend if you are not into typical touristy adventures.

Tapas & Wine in Barcelona

Sebastian is a nice and entertaining guy. As a good local he knows the secret places where to get the best tapas or pinchos (this time). It was really an eyeopener for us. He informed us about the history of tapas and pinchos We felt very comfortable with him and had good discussions about music of the 80's and other subjects. Time was flying by Thanks Sebastian, until we meet again

Perfect end to our trip!

We saved the tour for our last night in Barcelona and it couldn’t have been better! Sebastian went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the wine and tapas were delicious! Highly recommend 😉 (April 2019)

Perfect evening in town

We spent a couple of hours in autumn of 2019 tasting mainly red wine and tapas/pinchos in the heart of Barcelona. You can literally talk about everything with Sebastian with whom we already had a nice tour to Montserrat last year. Lovely evening as you just want to go back and taste some more....which we did! Absolutely wonderful time

My wife and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Mariangeles was informative, interesting, witty and beautiful. We learned a lot from her, not only about tapas and wine, but about Barcelona, past and present. She answered our questions about the current economic and political climate of the city as well as its relationship to the rest of Spain. She talked about herself and her ambitions and asked about us and our family. All in all, a lovely walking conversation accompanied by delicious wine and savory tapas. I would heartily recommend this tour and Mariangeles.

You won’t regret this!

Sebastian, Jackie (my fiancé) and I hit it off right away! His relaxed no BS personally is infectious. We'll most likely call him up to have a drink and chat about life the next time we're in Barcelona. Cheers to a new friend!

Excellent tours with Sebastian from WithLocals

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Sebastian give us two excellent tours: Highlights and Hidden Gems and on the next day Wine and Tapas. These were booked through WithLocals and communication was excellent beforehand. Sebastian instantly put us at ease and is very outgoing and friendly. He is very knowledgeable and communicates very well. His tours were well paced with plenty of interesting information without information overload. On the Tapas tour, Sebastian took us we went to three excellent bars on the same street in a non touristy neighborhood. This tour was more about the Spanish culture and Sebastian was able to give us a good idea about how the typical Spaniard lives. We greatly enjoyed our time with this excellent guide. We highly recommend Sebastian.

First Class Tour

Sebastian was amazing, he gave us so much information and knew so much history, we went to a pedestrian street where we had wine and Pintxos which were amazing its where the locals eat and drink, highly recommend anyone to do this tour with him 10/10 Sebastian 😃

Food, fun & wine!

(Note: actual tour date was March, 2019) Ruxandra made the evening insightful and tasty at the same time with her foodie and wine knowledge of the local tapas bars. She made sure we experienced fine wine and a great variety of tapas catered to our tastes. She also shared great insights on her personal experiences and where the locals go and don't go as well as the reasons why. She is delightful, warm, energetic and fun along the way and I would definitely recommend her if you're looking for not just a great food/wine experience, but someone who knows what life is like living in Barcelona.

Fun introduction to Barcelona

We arrived in Barcelona that afternoon and thought it would be a good way to get introduced to the Barcelona lifestyle, I was not disappointed. Sebastian was a great guide, fun and easy to talk to. It was just my boyfriend and myself, felt like you were hanging out with a friend. The tapas and wine were delicious, I would highly recommend. The BEST introduction to Barcelona!

My wife and I booked Giuliano for a two hour tapas evening on our very first trip to Barcelona. Giuliano is very approachable, easy to talk to, and a very interesting guy. As his profile states he is well versed in food, wine, the arts, and Barcelona itself. Among his many other vocations he is a 'thespian' who participates in local theater productions. After introductions our evening started with a visit to our first of several tapas bars. Each of the places we visited was better than the next! Having Giuliano as your 'local' is like spending the evening with an old friend. You will not regret your choice - he's a gem!
