THE BEST!!!

This is one of the best things we did in Barcelona! Mike knows so much about street art and you can see he is a true enthusiast! He is just easygoing and simple to talk to, ask questions, comment on life and art... The tour takes you through the beach areas and to a part of the city we wouldn't normally visit which is a bonus. Some of the art is huge, brilliant and just amazing to see! We felt welcomed and in the end, richer from the experience.

Not only is Mike enthusiastic, but he took time to understand the audience and made it personalized to our group. That helped everyone to be engaged especially with his great descriptions and he is very knowledgeable! Definitely book with him!

Perfect day with Mike. He gave a great background on the history of Graffiti and street art, terminology and then we had a wonderful bike ride through different neighborhoods. Definitely worth while.

A Great Graffiti Walk

This review is for the BCN Street Graffiti Walking Tour with Mike, exploring the El Raval neighborhood. It proved to be a fantastic way to experience the neighborhood, gaining insights into the residents' culture and observing the vibrant graffiti and street art adorning the buildings. Discovering the history of various artists and the inception of street art culture in Barcelona was truly captivating. As I continued my exploration of the city throughout the weekend, I encountered stickers and artwork from artists I had learned about during this tour. It was great to have the backstory, adding an extra layer of appreciation to the street art scene across the city.

Must do when in Barcelona :)

We had contacted Mike about the walking tour through El Raval ahead of our trip via instagram. Immediately after meeting him we could tell that he loves what he’s doing and clearly knows what he’s talking about. He was able to answer all of our questions and also told us a lot about the history of street art in Barcelona. Our favourite part was being able to see one of the artists at work. We can highly recommend Mike and his tour!

A really great experience!

Me and my husband went on this tour in February 2023. We thought this was a great experience and something different than going on a traditional walking tour. Cynthia, our tour guide, described all the different art pieces and told us about the history of each artist or artwork. You could tell she had a real interest so it was great to learn so much about the different graffiti artists who have visited Barcelona and how so many pieces link in with the community. I would really recommend this walking tour for something to do, especially if you want to do something a little bit different.

The best way to take in the city

One of the most enjoyable tours I’ve been on. Riding around with a knowledgeable tour guide is a great way to see the city. There was soo much graffiti and street art to be appreciated… would definitely recommend. Left me feeling super inspired and happy 💃🏼

Incredible street art tour with a great tour guide!

Excellent tour! Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly very integrated into the street art community in Barcelona. My boyfriend and I have very different levels of knowledge regarding street art and he made it accessible and interesting for both of us. It was also a perfect way to see Barcelona and wander down streets that we wouldn’t have necessarily go down otherwise. A must-go when visiting Barcelona!

We had a great tour in the streets of Barcelona. A different way to explore the city. Mike's knowledge of street art is impressive and he made it a interesting journey and opened our eyes to a unique way to express yourself.

Loved the bike ride along the beach taking out off the "tourist grid" What was excellent was his way of explaining the stages of Art and how artist continue to respect one another and how this artist are valued as part of the Barcelona art culture. Changed Perspective in Barcelona!

My kids and I did the El Raval street art tour. I have always thought of graffiti as bad but I heard many good things about the street art in Barcelona so I wanted to see for myself. This really changed my view on street art/graffiti and made me stop to look at things that I would otherwise rush by and ignore. We saw a ton of art and walked all through the neighborhood. I learned a lot and gained a new perspective. My kids also enjoyed though they were tired by the end. The hilight for them was seeing street art in process. There was a good bit of walking (about 7,000 steps) so be prepared to be on the move. The stroller came in handy for my kids. We should have thought to bring water. Come prepared and you will have a wonderful time.

A TOUR WITH MORE!!!

I have been on some tours in other cities but this tour was just incredible, the street art blew me away and mikes knowledge of not just the artwork but of the area in general was awesome. Great way to explore the city and see some colour along the way. Couldn't recommend more! Cheers for all mike

Fun and Interesting Tour!

I did the El Raval tour and it was absolutely amazing! Mike was extremely knowledgeable and all of the information was very interesting. I couldn’t recommend this tour more, whether you’re interested in graffiti and street art or just interested in getting to know Barcelona and it’s history better, this tour will check all those boxes.

A different way to see Barcelona

We were the only couple booked and it was a last-minute decision. So glad we did this! Mike was an excellent guide, pointing out the art of a wide variety of artists using multiple techniques to decorate blank spaces throughout the neighborhood. Because of the impermanence of street art, his tour constantly evolves to recognize new works and doesn’t bs you when he spots something he hasn’t seen before. He’s as interested as you are on discovering new works. And he knows his stuff. At several points, he stopped in to say hello to artists and they clearly respect and value his work in promoting them. And he knows his hockey, especially the LA Kings.

Great street art tour in el Raval

We had a great time on our tour! I emailed just the day before to reserve spots and heard back from Mike first thing in the morning. He was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the art we saw and the street artists in Barcelona. We did the walking tour of el Raval on our first day visiting Barcelona, and this was a great way to orient ourselves to the area for the rest of our trip and to clue us into all of the art to look for around the city. Highly recommend.

The streetart walking tour with Mike is highly recommended. I spent the afternoon criss-crossing the old town with him hunting for great streetart. There was always enough time to take fotos. It was an amazing tour, an other view of Barcelona. The whole family enjoyed it a lot. Mike explanations and comments were extremely learningfull and interesting. Fantastic bike tour combining street art and sea view

Mike was a very charming guide who gave us a lot of information about the history of graffiti and street art in Barcelona. He knew a lot about the artists and the projects they are working on. We would never have found the places that Mike has shown us if we had tried to make the tour on our own. On our way to Poblenou we have had great views passing by the yacht harbour and the beach. The bikes are very solid and the roads we were taking were perfect for riding safely.

An excellent way to spend a morning in Barcelona!

An excellent morning with Mike. We had two teens and they were skeptical about it when I booked it but they loved it and found it entertaining and interesting. A great way to view some of the city and I’d say we travelled around 10 miles over c3/4 hours and saw some really cool street art. Mike was entertaining and helpful and we’d highly recommend.

A whole new perspective of Barcelona!

My colleagues and I recently did the graffiti walking tour and workshop with Mike and he was such an incredible guide! I have been living in Barcelona for 13 years and this tour gave me such a new perspective on the city and it's local street art culture. Mike has a wealth of knowledge on the subject and his passion for street art truly shines during this tour. I am now noticing so many cool new details and things I had never really noticed before when I walk the streets of Barcelona. My mom and I joined the bicycle tour this week, and really enjoyed it! We visited parts of Barcelona which we would otherwise never see, and saw lots of very beautiful street art pieces. We knew nothing about the street art culture before the start of the tour, but really learned to appreciate it! Thanks again!

Best tour! Art, exercise and city tour in one.

My teenage girls, husband and I took a tour this week with Mike. Tour was terrific for 2 reasons. Mike is genuinely interested in Barcelona street art and taught us about everything from tagging to burners to murals. We learned about street art etiquette, styles and techniques. Very cool. Second reason the tour is cool - we biked along the beach and though areas of Barcelona we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Bike friendly city - really enjoyable ride (and a great way to beat jet lag!). One of our favorite things in Barcelona (tied with Paella Club).

Great walking tour Barcelona

Myself and my mum joined the street art tour in reval. We really enjoyed it. Great to get a background on some of the artists. It took us about two hours but it was great to see some of the back streets of the area with art. I have travelled all over the world

Fast, amazing and colorful BCN-Graffiti-Story

It was an amazing bicycle-tour along the beach to the BCN Graffiti-Spots with Mike, our guide and "Street-Art-Teacher" from California. We learnt much about ""Tags, Throw-ups, Pieces, Mirrors" and heard about the "Rise and Fall" of colorful BCN Street Art. Taking amazing pictures of young, changing and sometimes hidden art, we had a great ever lasting memory that day! Mike, if we could, we would spray a crown above your head! Aike & Udo

Cool tour with really cool guide

What a tour! We only were the four of us with Mike the guide who opened our eyes for the world of graffiti and street art in Barcelona. 2.5 hours (longer than in the description) of intriguing stories about local art and artists! Highly recommendable. p.s. @Mike the food at Sensi was legendary! Thanks for the hint, we'll be back for sure

Amazing tour

Mike was amazing. We had a great tour with him, he is very knowledgeable and also passionate about his job. We managed to discovered a lot of the underground movement in Barcelona and about eh most famous street artists and street art masterpieces.

El Borne and Gotic Walk

I have visited Barcelona six or seven times in the last dozen years and have been somewhat put off by the graffiti and tagging that seems to be everywhere through the city. But our tour of El Borne and Gotic with Mike opened my eyes to the great street art and artists in the area. So many of the "installations" I have walked by over the years are so small and unobtrusive that I didn't even recognize them as work of truly talented and imaginative street artists. Mike made it easy to identify the work of some of the more distinctive artists as we walked around the town during the rest of the trip, and knowing something about the artists' backstories gave us an appreciation for their work. We also learned about the history of street art in Barcelona and the city's efforts to counter defacement. I'm still not a fan of all the graffiti, but the tour made me realize that there are many, many talented artists who have contributed to Barcelona's unique character. Highly recommended for people interested In art or who want to see something different from the standard tourist fare.
