Stellar Gaudí Excursion

Arturo provided us with a stellar tour of the major Gaudi attractions. He had the very difficult task of balancing entry times at 3 locations, meals at 2 locations and cab drives between. His commentaries were informative and engaging. I highly recommend this tour.

This is a great tour if you want to see a lot of things in one day. We planned late, so this tour gave us most of Barcelona's highlights. Our guide (Miguel) was friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. Our tour only had 4 people (2 groups) so our guide was able to let us linger a little longer in most places bc he didn't have to round up a large group. Highly recommend this tour.

Exceptional and unforgettable

The whole day was exceptional. Miguel was an extremely informative guide. He was welcoming from the minute we met and throughout the day ensured we alright, from comfort breaks to refreshments. He made the Gaudi experience that much better with his explanations of everything. Cannot fault anything with the day.

Our tour with Roberto was absolutely amazing. We fell like we’ve seen things we never could have seen elsewhere and understood what we were seein in a way that made us appreciate these amazing sites that much more!

Relaxed and full day of Gaudi and the Gothic Quarter

What a wonderful day we had with Miguel touring Barcelona! This tour is a full day, but doesn’t feel rushed. We started early with a relaxed and thorough tour of the Gothic Quarter, where we got to experience the area before the crowds turned up (which was amazing for photos and to soak in the charming atmosphere). After great coffee at a local cafe overlooking the Del Mar cathedral, we proceeded to the jaw dropping Sagrada Familia, gorgeous Park Guell and amazing Pedrara. En route we stopped for a delicious local lunch of jamon Iberico. Miguel was warm and so knowledgeable, and the tour felt both extremely thorough and also well paced (not hectic at all but we felt we saw SO MUCH!!). Our teenagers loved it as well. highly recommend Miguel and this tour - a very, very comprehensive and thoughtful look at the Gothic Quarter as well as 3 of the 4 “most important” Gaudi sites in the city.

Best Tour of Barcelona

Absolutely the best tour! Ioanna was terrific! This tour took us all around Barcelona and the skip-the-line passes were great. Highly recommended and worth every penny!

A Fantastic Day awaits

Our guide was so knowledgeable and so friendly and outgoing it was like our neighbor was taking us around Barcelona showing us the things we never saw because we were focused on 'real life'. Miguel brought the city to life for us. Starting with the Gothic quarter and down to the sea then up the mountain to Montjuic and back down again to the octagonal blocks of the Diagonal. Taking us to the Famila Sagrada, he pointed out the details, large and small, that without him we might never have noticed on our own. Taking us to lunch afterwards, our small group enjoyed world-famous Iberian Jamon (ham) on less famous but still mucho deliciouso tomato bread. Back in our air-conditioned van, we arrived at Park Guell and were lucky to have our skip-the-line credentials in place: it was sold-out! After Famila Sagrada and Park Guell, our final stop at La Pedrera was almost anticlimactic. What a fantastic day (well 6 1/2 hours anyway. I can't recommend this tour any higher. Don't miss it!

Best Way To See Barcelona

Anna was the very best guide we could have asked for. She was extremely knowledgeable and led us through a wonderful walking tour of the best of Barcelona, Park Guell, Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. Anna is so personable and funny too. We wished Anna could be with us on the rest of our travels throughout Spain. Highly recommend Anna. Our driver Vicente was excellent as well!

Amazing

It was an amazing full day tour with much of Barcelona to explore. Our tour guide, Nuria, was knowledgeable, nice, and made the experience even better!

We found this tour to have too much wasted time for the price paid. Unfortunately for us there was a family that occupied alot of time taking their pictures and asking the guide to photograph them. We had a waste of 30 minutes for a coffee break . Lunch was not good- they ran out of vegetarian options and offered us ham. Nothing else! We wasted 25 minutes waiting for the family to meet the group. The guide had no control - so the rest of the group waited around doing nothing

Best tour we've ever done!

What an amazing experience. Our guide was Nuria and she was so lovely. As we wandered around the ancient city, she informed us about the different historical periods of old Barcelona - from Roman through Gothic times. After a perfectly-timed coffee break, we were picked up by a pre-arranged/pre-paid spacious SUV and taken on a tour of the Olympic area with her expert narration along the way. When we got to Sagrada Familia, we first walked around and she told us the story of Gaudi and Sagrada Familia. Then she walked us through the tourguide line, took us inside and we sat off to the side for a few minutes for a bit more explanation - then she encouraged us to just walk around and take in the beauty. It was an amazing way to experience it. After a lovely lunch, the SUV picked us up again for a trip to Park Guell and dropped us off at the top, we meandered slowly down the hill. One final ride to experience our last stop La Pedrera and her comments expanded upon the audio tour. So that's the mechanics of the tour. The best part was spending the day with someone familiar with the area who obviously loved her city. She tailored the tour to our interests and we all chatted throughout the day on everything from daily life in Barcelona to what's on the different Euro notes. The other best part is that EVERYTHING was included - I was a bit spooked by the price of the tour, but it included all admissions (including the skip-the-line upgrades), transportation, a morning snack, and lunch, along with Nuria's expert narration - it was money well spent. Make sure when you are shopping for tours you read what's actually included. Many of the tour operators make their costs appear to be low by only pricing what they're offering, you need to hand over Euros to the guide as soon as you get to the meeting spot to pay for all your admission costs.

Well worth the time

It was a great tour. Miguel was very knowledgable and very personable. The tour was at a perfect speed to see everything to our satisfaction. The breaks were done at the best times and sufficient to rest, eat, rejuvenate, and enjoy the scenery. I never felt rushed or that I wasn’t able to see what I wanted as completely as I liked. Well worth the day.

This was a great way to see the best sites of the city. If you have to choose any tour, choose this, it's worth every penny and the care to attention to customer satisfaction was exceptional. Our group included some elderly tourists, and they were assisted every step of the way. The guide was obviously well known and well regarded, and the stories, context, and experiences could not be replicated.

Barcelona in a nutshell

Miguel Pérez did a wonderful job touring us today. We toured the Gothic Quarter, Montjuic, Park Güell, La Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. He gave a good running commentary of what we were seeing, stopped into a Torrens shop, we stopped for coffee/soda and for a free range Ibericus ham lunch with wine/soda.

Miguel was our tour guide and he was amazing! First, there were a total two couple, including me, which made it great as we were really able to enjoy it and be close enough to hear what our tour guide, Miguel, was saying. He was very informative and every question asked he had an answer to. Definitely would recommend and definitely do it again.

Headphones and Bluetooth would have made this experience much better

The genius of Gaudi. The tour would have been much better if Bluetooth headphones were used and available. Good questions were asked by the group while walking And not heard except those who were walking immediately adjacent to the tour guide

Beautiful Barcelona

We had a wonderful experience on our tour of Barcelona with our tour guide Miguel. He was very knowledgeable of the history of the city and the beautiful architecture. He was friendly and flexible with the schedule, which is the advantage of being in a small group. He is fully bilingual which was a plus. We tried the turrón in different flavors. We had an exquisite coffee break. Lunch was a taste of iberica ham w bread and tomato. We visited the genius masterpieces of the architect Anthony Gaudi - Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Parque Guell… but the cherry on top to this amazing day was the visit to La Sagrada Familia. This place is indescribable, every detail on those walls, inside and outside the basilica are just magical, a once in a lifetime experience. I feel in order to understand and appreciate the beauty and complexity of this wonder it’s important to have someone knowledgeable like Miguel. He helped us see it through his own eyes. My only regret is that we had this tour on the last day. I would recommend doing it in the beginning of your stay in case you want to revisit places and/or visit additional places that he recommends. AMAZING TOUR!!!

Fun tour of the city

Great time! Our tour guide Miguel was super nice and informative. He took us all over the city and the tour is great because they even provide lunch and a coffee stop as well. Overall you get a good dive into gaudi and his works, plus exposure to other sites and attractions that you don’t explore too much, but get good ideas/suggestions for coming back to the next couple of days. Definitely recommend if you want to see a good amount of Barcelona in one day. Get to skip lines as well at the main attractions with your tour guides. Decent amount of walking involved but you also get taxi rides to different spots all included. Overall definitely recommend!

Fantastic tour

Fantastic tour If you want to know Barcelona this is the tour you need to take. Our tour guide Miguel was fabulous, professional, and very knowledgable of the city of Barcelona. The tour is well structured and all the tickets are purchased in advance so you don’t need to wait in any line since you are in a private tour and have more time to enjoy the city. Miguel will point out all relevant facts of the places you visit. He is very funny and amicable. He knows the city very well. The tour consists of a walk in the old town including the Gothic quarter, having a light breakfast in front of one of the medieval churches in the old town, then a car tour with highlights of places that you would miss if you went exploring your own. The tour then continues with the Gaudi creations including the houses and park. Before the highlight of the tour you will stop after the park you will stop for jamón ibérico (ibérico ham), sangria or your favorite beverage and then you will enter to paradise in a surreal world of Gaudi creation still under construction La Sagrada Familia that is a joy of science, faith and architecture marvel from the creation of the mind of a very religious man, Mr Gaudi. Before heaven most likely every soul on earth should ustop at La Sagrada Familia.

Barcelona says it all

Barcelona has long been one of my favorite European cities. This tour allowed me to show my family, who had never been to Europe, Barcelona’s greatest highlights. Our guide, Miguel, was just incredible. He tailored his presentation to my family which is still singing his praises.

Beautiful Barcelona and Grand Gaudi

This trip was AMAZING! 8 hours of pure enjoyment with Miguel from We Are Guides Barcelona on what essentially became a private tour because no one else signed up for this one. The first half of the day was a tour of the old city with history and culture from Roman times thru the 18th Century. We had amazing coffee mid morning with views of the church Santa Maria del Mar. Then it was off to Sagrada Familia...there is nothing you can say about that place...just go see it! And take Miguel because his passion for all thing Gaudi (especially Sagrada Familia) was truly awe inspiring. After the tour we went for lunch at a lovely little local restaurant with a fantastic Menu Del Dia! Then it was a short taxi ride up to Parc Guell! Again amazing with fantastic views and Miguel's great knowledge made it all the better. Our final stop was LA Pedrera or Casa Mila as it is officially known. That place never disappoints beautiful views and crazy amazing architecture. Miguel was the perfect host for his adopted city of Barcelona! This was a truly memorable day!

Best tour you can ask for

Amazing! Man, when they said "professional" tour guide, they weren't kidding. Our guide was an expert on local customs, history, architecture, I felt like there wasn't a question she didn't know the answer to. It was a lot of walking, so wear comfy shoes. It seemed a little pricey, but when you consider the admission fees to Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, and Park Guell, it's not bad, and 100% worth it.

Barcelona in a day

If you need to get a comprehensive overview of Barcelona in one day, this tour with Miguel is well worth it! The morning was a great walking tour, and the afternoon was filled with the work of Gaudi. Miguel Suarez is a wonderful, knowledgeable guide and well represents his city.

Superb tour guide, exquisite experience of Barcelona fir 1st timers

Miguel Suarez was our guide for just the 4 of us. He did a phenomenal job of telling us about the city (taking us through the Gothic quarter first) then the Gaudi landmarks. His tour of Familia Sagrada was extensive and we learned a lot! He also gave us great suggestions of what else to see and do, which we took his advise! And he took photos of us for us!!

Bang for your buck with just a couple days in Barcelona!

We had a great time with our tour guide Josep! He was knowledgeable, fun and ensured we stayed on time so that we wouldn’t miss anything during this jam packed day of seeing all the highlights! Unbeatable Barcelona

Our Barcelona City Tour, with La Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, & La Pedrera was amazing!. Our tour guide, Johanna was incredible!!! She was super professional, kind, courteous, bubbly, energetic, and a wealth of information & history. She made the tour extremely personable, interesting, and informational. She was also very kind to my mother, who uses a walker with wheels to get around...she made suggestions for her to best get around. She was just like being with family! If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. We were nervous because there was a taxi driver strike in the city and I didn’t see the message from the tour company asking to reschedule. But we got to the meeting place and found out from the guide that it was just us two and him for the day. So we managed to have a private tour which meant a lot of cool extras. Our guide, Miguel, was the absolute best and since it was just us, he acted as our personal photographer and made taking pictures so much fun. He gave us great recommendations for food and drinks as well. He did such a great job teaching us the history of everything we saw. It was the most amazing tour ever!!!
