Car too small for 6 passengers

The car was too small for 6 people. We did not get to actually see the familia cathedral. Gave us 5 minutes. There was too much traffic to actually get a good view of the cathedral. They picked us up at an 1 hour later than we expected. We were worried they wouldn’t show up. The car was not large enough to be comfortable. We did not get a great experience. But did see some of the highlights

A wonderful trip

Am absolutely wonderful tour experience! Hugo was waiting for us when we hit to the port. He took his time and had so much information about Barcelona. I highly recommend this company.

Beautiful Barcelona

Perfect Barcelona tour. If Hugo is your driver, you are very lucky.

Sometimes you get lucky. We certainly did with Hugo. I did quite a bit of research, as I always do, and decided on the 'Barcelona Highlights Shore Excursion with Optional Attractions Tickets' tour. This was a 4 hour half day shared tour by spaindaytours. Spain Day Tours is part of Top Day Tours (just a different branding). My brother and his wife accompanied us. Hugo picked us up from the terminal dock doors in an extremely comfortable Mercedes and took us to some truly amazing places, his knowledge was outstanding. If we wanted to see something in particular or spend a bit longer at one of several stops, absolutely no problem. Park Guell skip the line tickets were included. Hugo dropped us off at the end of the tour at the Sagrada Familia rather than back at the terminal, as requested. We already had skip the line tickets for the cathedral. Do not miss going inside this truly amazing building. Because they dropped us here, the company offers you up to 15 euro's for your taxi trip back to the ship. Just send them an email showing your receipt. (We forgot to ask taxi for receipt). Throughout, communications with this company have been spot on. Every query answered quickly. We have been on many shore excursions over the years and this was right up there. So without hesitation, I thoroughly recommend this tour. Ask to have Hugo drive you, you will not regret it.

Very good value for money

Guide and driver were on time at cruise port. Easy to find them (had our name on a sign). Luxurious van with place for luggage. Very interesting guide Pickup and drop-off included (port or hotel) . Highly recommend this tour

Booking failure

Parc Guell with excellent guide/curator for the Gingerbread house. There was an unfortunate glitch with Viator customer service. I booked skip the line for Sagrada Familia and the Picasso Museum, but later realized we didn’t have enough time to visit the Picasso. I called Viator to cancel the Picasso tour, but the Sagrada Familia inside tour was apparently dropped as well! With the construction and barricades around the cathedral, little could be seen and that part of the tour was a huge disappointment! We had been inside the cathedral some 20 years ago and planned this trip especially to show it to our daughter and her family. We discovered this error shortly before beginning our cruise to Barcelona.

I loved the Park Guell and the church just wished my friend wouldn't have gotten lost and made extra work for our tour guide and many worries form us her friends .

Great tour with the bonus of transportation to the port!

We had a cruise leaving from Barcelona and arrived a few days early to spend some time in the city. There were 5 of us traveling with luggage - harder to get transportation to the pier. This tour was the perfect solution - a great morning tour with highlights of the city and transportation to the port with all our belongings. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable. The Park Guell part was fabulous - make sure to buy these tickets as they are extra. I believe you can do this tour in reverse as well - pick-up from the port and deliver to the hotel. Even though we had visited La Sagrada Familia, the perspective and commentary from the outside was illuminating. We all felt this was a great start to the second part of our vacation. There was great communication before and during this excursion.

Excellent Tour

Bernard was an excellent tour guide so knowledgeable and proud of Barcelona than he make us to love your city! Just probably to add and stop to shopping! The driver amazing! Highly recommend!!

Professional company who provided a wonderful service

Aurelio was very easy to deal with when booking and answered all of our questions to help us plan what we wanted to see. We absolutely loved our tour. Paola our guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, informative, interacted well with our children and made great recommendations and made it a fun day. The car was very clean and comfortable and or driver was also lovely. Our tour guide Christina...

Our tour guide Christina was great, she was very informative. One of our party members does walk a little slower so when she would arrive to describe the area, she would ensure the entire group was together. This is a small group tour which made it very informative and more intimate. We had chosen the additional La Sagrada Familia skip the line tickets, there seemed to be an issue with our groups purchase. But Christina did not leave us stranded, she went above and beyond to ensure that the matter was resolved fairly quickly. Park Gruel and La Sagrada are defiantly a must see, Barcelona is in a state of drought, and this effected the larger water fountains from being active along the highlight tour. Would recommend to others for future endeavors.

A very good introduction Barcelona and it’s main highlights. There are so many to see but this tour gave up a good first bite.

Small group visit is the way to go

We toured Park Guell first. The tour was informative and complete. Even though it was a holiday, our guide was able to keep the group together in the crowded park. From there, we went downtown to view the facade of la Sagrada Familia basilica. Again, even though there we’re lots of people out and about on the holiday, Trini the tour guide was able to be understood by all. She was well informed and very pleasant, speaking to each participant as we walked along. Great job!

Barcelona City Tour, Guell Park & Sagrada de Familia

We had a pick up at the cruise pier with a group of 16 guests, we had a tour of Barcelona, Guell Park with skip the line tickets, Sagrada de Familia with skip the line. Our tour guide Fernando was awesome, our group thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour.

Barcelona Park Guell/La Familia Sagrada Tour

Traffic was an issue during our tour, due to a holiday. Our guide,Paula, was excellent. It was difficult to see some sights from the bus, but we did have one opportunity to leave the bus to look over Barcelona before entering Park Guell. Paula’s description of Park Guell was very informative and the Park is so beautiful. Visitors should be aware that there are many steps and inclines in the park. Paula described the outside of La Familia Sagrada, pointing out sculptures on the facades. She did walk very quickly, making it difficult for some of the group to keep up. In all, we thought it was an excursion well worth the price.

Amazing tour

The tour was wonderful, we had a very knowledgeable tour guide and made amazing memories of Barcelona. The office was very responsive to emails and answered all of our questions.

Ok tour, not a lot of bang for the buck

First I'd like to say that Marc's skill as a tour guide was very good. I did find it somewhat annoying that we were in a full-size bus with only 12 of us. It seems that kept us from seeing the city from a more personal view. I also was not thrilled with after being picked up having to go downtown to pick up more passengers then traveling again to the port area while Marc explained it then back to the city in the same area we picked up the additional passengers. It seemed to waste a bit of time that we could have been using for our tour. We have been on two back-to-back cruises, and this was the most expensive tour that we've taken on this trip. I think this was the least value for our money. We also did not know, until the final email that arrived while we were on vacation, that if we chose to see the Sagrata Familia we would not be brought back to our cruise ship. This should be in the description of the tour. Must see parts of the tour were Parc Guell and Sagrada Familia (which was described, but we did on our own). The tour through the city on the bus did not add much value.

Wonderful Overview of Barcelona

Christine was an outstanding guide! Her scope of history of Gaudi, Parc Guel, and Sagrada Familia was amazing, as well as the history of Barcelona.

Great Introduction to Barcelona

This was a terrific tour to start my visit in Barcelona. I had done a transatlantic cruise and was picked up at the port right on time. There were 12 people in our tour which is so much nicer than the bigger tour bus. Joseph did a great job of showing us the highlights. Most of the walking is done at Park Guell, which is a must. I did the four hour tour which was just the right amount of time for me. After the tour was done I was dropped off at my hotel. As a first time solo traveler to Barcelona it was great to know that I was being picked up at the cruise port and being dropped off at the hotel. I enjoyed the tour so much I reached out to book another tour but they were fully booked. So I recommend that you book what you want now so you won't be disappointed.

Barcelona overview

This was a perfect orientation tour of Barcelona from the cruise ship to the hotel. It took us by most of the important sites so that we can now choose the ones we want to visit in more detail. The guide was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He imparted to us a lot of very interesting history and culture of Barcelona and of the sites along the way. The vehicle was a first class MB. Highly recommend!!

Excellent city tour for those with limited time!

We arrived in port and were met by Christina and her driver at precisely the arranged time. They stowed our luggage in their van and then we and 10 other guests were treated to a wonderful 3 hour tour of the city. Lots of beautiful views, great history of the city and the architecture. Several stops along the way and we arranged for a visit to Park Guell - beautiful! At the end of the tour, they arranged transportation for us and our luggage to our city hotel. Thanks!

The tour was wonderful!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and such a sweet woman! We very much enjoyed seeing and hearing all about Barcelona. It was also nice that when we couldn’t do the walking with the rest of the group, we were able to sit and have a coffee while we waited for them to return. We appreciated that there was no pressure to do anything we didn’t feel we were physically able to do.

Barcelona Shore Excursion was SUPERB

Unlike our MONACO disaster with VIATOR (which you'll see in my review), the Barcelona Shore Excursion was an excellent experience ... from the moment of our pick up at our cruise ship dock, throughout the excellent tour route, and ending in the drop off at our Barcelona hotel. Everything was taken care of without a single problem. NOTE: Viator should specifically clarify to its customer that the "actual tour" is handled by a sub-contractor, "not Viator."

Cruise ship meet at port

We knew we wanted to get in as much Gaudi as possible in a half day. This tour made us easy to accomplish. We liked the size of the vehicle and group. They picked us up at the port. The driver and tour guide await you with a sign. They acquainted us with the vehicle and went over the plan. The best part was the Park Guell! The information the tour guide provided was extremely helpful. One of the best tours you could take. I look forward to going back to Barcelona as it is a fabulous city.

Great way to see the city.

Had a private pick up and drop off from our hotel which was great. Met the coach in Liberation Square along with another couple waiting for the tour. The bus was a luxury minibus and there were only ten of us so it made for a really personal experience. The guide was brilliant with lots of knowledge and passion for the city. She showed us the best spots for photos and lots of tips on when and where to see other sights not on the tour. Well worth the money and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Best tour ever !

Spain Day does it right! Picked us up from the ship, stored our luggage on the bus and provided a wonderful guide who showed us the best of Barcelona with a vivid description of each site. We ended our tour at the front door of our hotel. Who could ask for more.

Great half day pick up at Cruise port and drop off hotel

Our tour guide Simone was very inspiring in telling us about Gaudi's vision and designs at park Guell, Sacrada Familia, and La Pedrera. She tried her very best to tell us about all the eco considerations Gaudi made in his designs and shows Gaudi really was ahead of his time. The bus was very comfortable and Simone was caring on a day of occasional pouring rain.

Airport Pickup / Barcelona City Tour

The tour was great. The guide picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at our AirBnB after the tour was complete. Our guide shared his knowledge of the city throughout the tour. We hit the highlights, and had time to explore key sites. We opted for the skip the line Park Guell tickets. We enjoyed walking through the park and taking in the unique architecture. I would definitely recommend this tour!

As advertised, but nothing more

I would say overall, the tour was pretty much as advertised, however, of the 6 guided tours we took, I would not rank it as high as the others. The tour was disorganized in the beginning... it was overbooked (not a big enough van to accommodate everyone which flustered the driver. She did a good job coming up with a solution, however, it delayed our tour). We were also under the impression that the driver (Danny) and guide (Christina) did not work together very often because their cohesiveness wasn't as great as some of the other driver/guide teams we experienced. Another thing that was unfortunate was that the windows of the van were very dirty, making for poor quality of any pictures taken from within the van since it did not stop at many points. The Gaudi sites we stopped at we really enjoyed and Christina had a great deal of knowledge about them. Sometimes with the crowds it was difficult to hear her so an audio set that we used in other tours may be helpful. The last comment I would have is that the tour felt rushed. It only ended up being about 3 hours from the time we actually left the port at 8:40 to when we were left at La Segrada Familia at 11:45. More time to get out of the van for quick pictures would have been appreciated.

Excellent Tour

Our guide promptly picked us up at the cruise port. She then did an excellent job covering all of the major sites in Barcelona. I would highly recommend!!!

Shore Excursion - Barcelona Highlight/Skip-the-Line

The Barcelona tour was great! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient. She explained lots of things to us, and she is super professional. I am glad that we did the tour with them. Since we didn't ride with them back to my Cruise ship, they refunded our taxi expense from the Sagrada Familia to Cruise Port after we finish our own tour inside of the Familia.

We booked this half day tour with pick up from the cruise terminal and drop off at the airport. Out party of 18 was met at the cruise terminal with a top end minibus, our guide was superb : highly professional, very knowledgeable in the historical and present annecdotes, friendly, considerate and fun. Everything about the tour was superbly organized, from the contacts before booking, the booking facilities, the transport... we will surely recommend you to our friends and will surely use you again whenever we need further exploring of the Barcelona area.

Best in Barcelona

I just completed my first trip to Europe, where we disembarked from our cruise in Barcelona. We planned to spend a couple extra days there before heading back to the US. After some extensive research, we found the MOST Accomodating company to help us see the sites. Barcelona Day Tours was just wonderful. I will recommend to everyone that you give them a chance.

A Perfect Day in Barcelona

What a perfect way to see the highlights of Barcelona! We were picked up at our hotel and spent four hours seeing the sights of this beautiful city. Our driver was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the city, it's history and architecture. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting an introduction to the city--but especially for those heading to or from a cruise. The convenience of being picked up at our hotel --with luggage-- and being dropped off at the cruise port was wonderful. And, the company did a great job communicating prior to our tour. I would highly recommend Barcelona Day Tours!

Great guide and tour

The tour guide waiting for us at port and picked 8 of us and all our luggages on time. We then did a half day Barcelona tour with skip the line tickets at Park Guell. The guide did give many insights about the city and helpful at providing us with lots of children-friendly attractions for our kids for our next few days in Barcelona.

Great Tour!

This was a great way to see a few sights in Barcelona and get a feel for different areas of the city as well. We were on a big bus, but there were only about 10 of us total, so we had lots of room. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out different areas of interest on the drive. Park Guell was very cool, I'm glad I got to see it. I had limited time due to boarding a cruise ship in the afternoon, but I felt like it was just enough time to see a few things. Barcelona Day Tours was awesome regarding my pickup and dropoff, and kept in touch regarding details up to the last minute.

As we had limited time to see the beautiful city of Barcelona, we booked the four hour tour before we boarded our ship. We were so thrilled that we booked this tour. Our guide, Xavier, was very knowledgeable about the city and we saw many more sites than we would have on our own in the short amount of time. The driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us at the cruise terminal exactly at the times promised. I would highly recommend this company and tour.

we took a family cruise to Europe we were a diverse group with ages ranges from 13-88 it was 10 of us. Barcelona day tours were very professional and accommodating to everyones needs and were able to design a day tour that we all greatly enjoyed. would love to use them again.

Without Exception The Best Choice In Barcelona

My family of eleven made various reservations with BDT which included a best city tour, a tour of Montseratt and transfers to/from our cruise ship. During the entire booking process, I was impressed with the level of communications, patience and cooperation demonstrated by their staff especially Cristina. Perfect in every way, such a life-saver picking us up from the airport.

Our large group of 9 was rescued by this fabulous company. After a long day of travel, we arrive early in the morning with 4 hours to kill before we could check into our hotel. Even though our flight was delayed a bit we didn't worry because of the detailed booking emails, I knew they were watching and waiting for us. The tour of the city was great, the bus very comfortable with AC blasting. Our driver drove safely and our guide was so knowledgable and interesting. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful views of Fabulous Barcelona!

We are a family of six with multi generations and this tour was wonderful for everyone. Our guide Manu was very personable and humorous. He picked us up at our hotel and talked about the history of Barcelona and its people. He took us to many wonderful destinations and even got us into a private estate to take a quick look around. He recommended a wonderful restaurant and showed us how to get tapas. Manu was very knowledgeable about each sight and he really emphasized the culture and people of Barcelona. This was a wonderful tour for all! I would highly recommend Manu as your tour guide.

Wonderful Tour of Beautiful Barcelona

This was our favorite tour of our 7 day cruise! The city is gorgeous and our guide/driver was absolutely fantastic. He shared so much knowledge about the sights and you could tell how much he loved the city and sharing it's history. Since we had time to explore after our tour he gave us suggestions for where to stop for lunch and what other things we could see before heading back to our ship. He even found us an FC Barcelona shop that was open on Sunday so my son could get the Messi jersey he'd been wanting. Just a perfect day and a perfect tour!

Barcelona half day
