Don't even deserve one star

We thought that this activity was to be held by the beach with better conditions, but instead we were carted off in a van from Las Ramblas to the middle of nowhere, it very bad terrain, under a main road in Barcelona with no place to rest from the sun or bathroom facilities- we literally thought we were being trafficked at a point. The one litre of sangria/beer is also a lie - it is just a bin of lidl sangria and beer filled with ice and small plastic cups. With the bad area, the travelling there and back wasting time from the experience and the expensive price tag - this is a scam through and through. I would recommend this to no one unless you want to fear for your life.

Do not recommend unless you want to lose your money.

The lack of adequate communication was simply embarrassing, my friends and I flew all the way from Australia to experience a fun time in Barcelona. However the beer bike company failed to allow this seemingly exciting time to happen. The company cancelled 3 hours before our beer bike session was booked, and a month later we still haven’t received a refund. I would only recommend this experience if you love to be disappointed.

In June we were supposed to attend a beer bike. Unfortunately the day before we were told that it was cancelled. We were not refunded nor offered any other option that met the same standards. We were not offered a refund, and post the cancellation have contacted the company multiple times for a refund but have been met with no response. Please do not book with this company unless you would like to be robbed

Cancelled on us, but no Refund??

They cancelled on us the day before, but we never got a refund and they never replied to my multiple attempts for communication about the refund process, even thought they Cancelled on US.

The bike trip from hell!!

It was not what was portrayed in Viator. We were driven out from the city and the bike tour was approximately 500 yds. It was desolate and a little spooky. My family of 12 had a fun time but only because we had been to a bar before we went. Would not recommend to anyone

Terrible and dangerous.

Bordering on dangerous! Do not book this. Dirty unready vans will whisk you away from barcalona to a sewage farm under the motorway, where you will Fisk your life on a clapped out home made bike, nothing like the one in the photos.

Where’s my refund? We didn’t even do the activity

Due to bad weather we were unable to partake in the activity. We agreed to a refund of which we have not received. The customer services are now blanking us and have blocked our numbers therefore have no intention of giving us our money back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Not as it appears in their photos - tourist trap

Booked for a hen party assuming it would be around the city pulling pints from a cold keg… we were delayed by well over an hour and when we arrived at the meeting point we were told to get into vans to be brought to… a waste ground 20mins away which had some of the group concerned this would be the end of our lives. The experience consisted of broken or stiff bike chains, warm cans, bottled sangria from Lidl, spilled drink -> wet clothes -> sticky hands, pissing in bushes, rats spotted and the driver swapping roles to sit and drink 🍺 instead... the pot holes and uneven dirt track had the bike leaning more to one side and the fear of the bike toppling over was real!! What was supposed to be a quick hour from 7-8pm didn’t see us dropped back to the city till close to 11pm… tourist trap - don’t do it!!!

Avoid, avoid, avoid !

Simply awful. They need to update their sales literature. They imply you ride round the streets of Barcelona, but my understanding is they have been banned from the City. Instead you are taken to a waste piece of land under a motorway bridge, ride up and down for 30 mins, then driven back to the city. Avoid at all costs

This is simply the worst beer biking experience that I have ever endured!

When booking this experience I believed that we would be pedalling around the streets of Barcelona. Instead, we were collected, 1 hour late, and driven some distance out of the city to an area of waste land under a flyover. On arrival we were greeted my a man who almost immediately apologised for the experience stating that he merely worked here. We eventually pedalled a very poorly maintained beer bike for a few hundred yards whilst being handed cans of Estrella and the cheapest Sangria out of a dustbin. At one point I genuinely feared that the beer bike would overturn due to the uneven dirt track we were riding along. After less than an hour we were driven back to the city by a driver who didn’t appear to care too much for his own life or ours and dropped off. When we challenged the driver (who we believed to be the boss) about the experience, he became quite nasty and then forgot how to speak English! In summary, this trip is clearly not as it is advertised and in fact represents a significant risk to your well-being in terms of very poorly maintained equipment. Avoid at all costs!!!

TERRIBLE DO NOT BOOK - AVOID

This tour should be avoided at all costs. It does not take place in Barcelona, you are driven outside of the city to a dried up riverbed. The beer bike is badly maintained and there is no road or facilities to use. There is no scenery or anything to see, we were worried about our safety and the experience was terrible. This is completely false adverting and this business should not be allowed to continue. Please do not book a tour for a beer bike in Barcelona there are none in the city.

Honest review

If you go on one tour when in Barcelona make sure this is it.....NOT Badly represented, misleading advertising. Awful bike with only 4 sets of pedals working. Serious risk of it overturning on the uneven surfaced. Estrella from a dustbin and the cheapest sangria around. No facilities, kept waiting around for minibus transfer (drivers are reckless). The experience area was filthy, littered, graffiti strewn.

If the stars were S#|+, I’d give it 10!

It was that $#|+ it was good. Tour guide was a top lad, bike was awful. We got beers from a bin and cycled down a dirt track. Would not recommend

Leas Hendo

We did the beer bike on the 4th of March 2023 for my little sisters Hendo with family and friends, What an experience it was, bride and hens absolutely loved it! And was one of best things of are trips. Games they did for us was fab, cheesy music we played was a hit as it got everyone in the mood, we all laughed so much and wished it lasted longer. Entertainer was great and really made it an experience. We honestly got there and thought this looks abit seedy but is absolutely what you make it with your party, plus was all part of the fun going through puddles and trying to get out of them. I for one recommend! So if your thinking about it, don’t think to long just go for it! Regards Zaner (maid of Honour)

Disaster

Arrived to the location, team running the activity very engaging and friendly. However bike was broken (steering wheel come off and chains missing). Vehicle also in poor condition and not safe. In the end we were stuck under a motorway flyover for 90 minutes waiting for the vehicle to be replaced/fixed. A solution was sought after this time but could not carry on as needed to leave to attend dinner booking. Refund expected please.

Fantastic!!!

Hilarious - OK, not in the centre of Barcelona because of traffic order but the smile did not leave my face the entire time. Javi and Pol were fantastic hosts, highly entertaining and if you want a few hours to spare on something entertaining I cannot recommend enough. My ribs hurt from the laughter and fun! Thank you!!!

Brilliant stag do beer bike

The beer bike was the most fun part of our stag do to Barcelona! Pol really made it so thanks to him :) Maybe worth being a bit clearer about the location as we didn’t realise there was a transfer shortly out of town, instead cycling round the city centre.

Terrible attitude from owner

I booked this trip for 4 people on the 22nd March for the 26th May and they took my money straight away but never emailed me the confirmation. A month later after chasing them up they say they have my money but cant do the booking and have only offered me one alternative slot which we cannot do as we have by now booked all our other trips and cannot fit in in apart from the time we booked or one hour earlier. When I trie dto explain this to him on the phone he basically said tough and put the phone down on me. I guess if I hadnt chased up they would have just keept my money for nothing. I would avaoid like the plague. If I could give zero stars I would. I havd had to put that we did the trip in April as no option for a trip that didnt even take place

Guide did not arrive. We waited and phoned but no one arrived. No one has since contacted us to apologise

Incorrectly advertised, but you might still enjoy it if you're a stag do or hen party.

Not really a tour, or in Barcelona for that matter. You get picked up from the centre of Barcelona, taken to a dirt track miles away from the city and ride about 100m through muddy puddles with while being made to get off and participate in very physical drinking games including relays, musical chairs and dancing. If you're a stag do or a big group of heavy drinkers you may still have fun, but this is not at all a tour of Barcelona, you will not see the 'bustling streets' and you will ask yourself what on earth you have booked!

Wish it was in the city

Had a great time. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars was because the picture of it being in the city is very misleading. It is actually on an excluded dirt road area. It would have been more fun on city grounds. They need to update their picture to show how it is really ran.

awful!!!!!! you get taken out of barcelona to a dirt track and a bike under a bridge. most of the pedals didnt work and the bike couldnt get up a small hill

Do not waste your money

The photos you see on their website are not at all what you get.The tour is not around Barcelona at all,you see none of the sites. We were picked up in a filthy van,the seats were covered in oil and grease. We were driven out of the city and taken to a muddy dirt track at the side of the motorway. It was a complete joke.The bike has only six pedals,one of which the chain was hanging down so was taken off by the tour guide. We were 2 groups of girls so totalled around 18 for 12 seats. After going down the dirt track for 5 minutes we were asked to get off and play musical chairs around the bike!!obviously this is to waste time. There’s no wine or water,just cheap cans of beer . Do not waste your money on this tour,it’s a complete rip off.

Best beer bike tour in Barcelona

What a laugh we had!!! Just recently been on the beer bike experience tour as we went for a hen do I couldn’t recommend anymore! We had my mother who is currently in a wheelchair due to a broken leg but was still able to go on the bike tour as they can accommodate by having a normal seat on the bikes! Ana,Juan and Alberto was brilliant hosts and was so brilliant helping my mother onto the bikes they really did make the bike tour a brilliant experience! You need to try this bike tour if you are in Barcelona! We will deffo be doing this again when in Barcelona!

Beer Bike

Would definitely recommend the beer bike, it's a laugh and Leticia was absolutely brilliant with the drinking games making sure we all enjoyed ourselves! Perfect for anyone in Barcelona looking for a good time.

Stag

Anna was an absolute pleasure. Stag do from Essex. The beer cycle was in the middle of nowhere but it added to the whole vibe. Anna was an angel tho and we had some great games with a lot of booze. Perfect for a stag

We booked this for my friends hen party whilst in Barcelona and had great fun! Oscar, Ana2 and Javi made the experience so much fun

Not as advertised

Yes, our party of 8 had fun. The fun was us being together, having a few laughs and shaking our heads at the "party bike" experience. We were driven out of town to an area that was very sketchy and not close to scenic. Our driver was truly a nice guy that was "covering for a friend". The bike itself is in need of serious repair. Most of the seats were not adjustable. Some of the chains were not working, hence only some of us were pedaling making it twice as hard. The terrain was also an issue, this bike is not meant for off-road or unpaved riding. We knew the ride was not in town, however we were sent pics of what appeared to be a canal or river-walk scenario. Again, we could not even go far because of the terrain, such as getting stuck in the mud! Our hosts were fun and did their best to be entertaining. But this is nothing like the pics posted. We didn't even know to meet someone who would drive us out of town, I had to call and be told to look for a guy in a white van. Lack of communication and professionalism to say the least. The concept of this is definitely fun, but not executed in this manner. WAY overpaid for a sweaty bike ride, avg beer and a few jugs of store bought sangria in an area most people would not feel safe walking. Cannot deny we laughed and this will make for a good story/memory!

Brilliant and fun

A group of 7 of us enjoyed a great few hours for a hen party. Brilliant communication and a fab host @javi made it very enjoyable and fun for us all. Would highly reccomend. Thanks for a fab afternoon Javi

Great Fun

Came here with 8 girls and we had a fantastic time. The host played games and really lifted the atmosphere! Great that we where able to also play our own music. Would highly recommend.

Unforgettable bike tour around Barcelona

I would like to share with everyone how amazing bike tour I got with my friends and family. We picked out of nowhere, trip by "beer bike" in Barcelona, because it was only few days holidays and we wanted to see a lot in this city. So much fun up there! It's an alternetive for everybody who are bored by walking around the city as other capital in Europe. Do it different in Barcelona! In few hours you are able to see all "MUST SEE" attracions around city, more - you enjoy more when you sit in the shadow, you got cold beer in front of you and a little wind in your hair. I strongly recommend it! Opsss... I heard from our guide that they are prepering as well Boat on the same rules as Bike, can't wait to try this as well.

GREAT TIME

We were a group of ten Hens so looking for a fun group activity to do! Have to say it was great!! We all had so much fun! Javi and ana Made sure we all had such a laugh! The guys got us up playing games would definitely recommend!! Great for groups away

Waste of time

I mean where to start? So we booked this and paid 50% online. We were informed we were being picked up at 11am from the Metro station in La Rumba. We arrive, no sign of them. 15 minutes late, they arrived 11:15. Driver was friendly. Told us that a new boy, Oscar, was doing our tour today, and it was his first day. Fine. Get there, arriving at 11:35 (we were due to start at 11:30); a totally derelict field type of dirt track with a battered drinking bike. Didn’t start until 11:45. The bike sits 16, there were 6 of us. They knew this on booking. When we were travelling there with the driver, he said we have the bike to ourselves as nobody else booked. Great. We get on, and start the trip at 11:45. There’s 6 of us and 5 of us are peddling as one can’t for medical reasons. The driver said there is a route we will follow. We get 15 minutes in and he says I don’t think we will make it the whole way around in an hour and I have another booking at 12:30 (his English was bad just FYI). So he said we can either sit here and you can drink and peddle back to where we started or just sit here. We said why won’t we make the whole track? He said your peddling to slow! There were 5 of us, 3 of us who are participating athletes and 2 who are not, we were peddling adequately, if not more so than most people. He peddled back to where we started (we only got about a mile within the 15 minutes and we sat there and drank the alcohol provided. Cheap beer, cheap sangria. We were told we could bring our own alcohol, so we took vodka. We were also told we would be given mixers. No mixers on board, the driver ran and got some from his van. 2 bottles of cola, and one was opened and sprayed over all of us. He then said we didn’t have any more cola. The driver then grabbed 2 cola cans from his van before we set off. We provided our own music via Bluetooth as they didn’t have any. The driver, just before the end, asked for the remaining 50% of the money and we wanted to complain. Called his manager to explain, he said he didn’t understand why we didn’t complete the whole track and when we tried to explain why, he hung up Overall, it was a 10 minute peddling trip, on a dirty off road track, with cheap beer, nothing to see, hosted by a terrible host. It was €25 each, literally to drink beer on a dirty road and an old, broken bike. Waste of half a day of our trip, and the transfer car was dirty inside. The trip is 20 min drive out of Barcelona. When we got in the van to return, the driver did a hand break turn and nearly span us over onto the side. We all screamed frantically and asked him why on earth he did that and he said ‘I thought you would like’. No, we didn’t like and it wasn’t necessary at all. Don’t bother booking. Terrible experience that spoilt our time away

Beer bike disappointment

Pick up was great as well as the people. Photos show bike in town and through streets. Was on dusty sand road in middle of no where. Bike did not work well either.

Great-but location is along a 'river' very much outside the city or beach

We were a group of hens and had a great time on the bike, Javi, carlos and Joseph were amazing. Lots of drinks, games and fun!! The location was just a bit of a random area!

FALSE ADVERTISING - Stay away!

They sell their tours as a beer bike tour along the beach, and through the city. That is not at all what it is. When you get to the meeting point, be prepared for them to arrive 30 minutes late, without notice, and don't be looking for the beer bike, you will be picked up in rented minivans, and driven to where the beer bike is instead. Along the way they will explain that due to closed roads they are unable to take you on the normal route through the city and beach, and not to worry they have another really "cool" spot. Instead they drive you 20km out by the airport to the middle of nowhere, where you will either enjoy the activity in a parking lot or a field with nothing around. They are completely lying about the roads being closed, the real reason is that it is illegal to drive a beer bike in the city or along the beach!! Textbook false advertising! This company has poor customer relations (rude lady every time you call to tell them you've been waiting for 30 mins), are totally overpriced, and are a complete scam. AVOID!

Beer bike tour

Do not book this beer bike, The tour is miles away from Barcelona and is all round awful. Poor communication, poor management, poor selection of drinks and the bike hardly works. I never write reviews but this was so bad. Do not waste your money or time. I'd give zero stars in i could!

Most awkward experience we had here

The organizer totally messed it up. Instead of doing this thing at the beach, they drove our group a half hour out of the city. When we finally arrived in the middle of nowhere(see pictures), there was some other group standing around and waiting, cause their ride was cancelled by the police. Guess the police wasn’t happy to see this beer bike ride happening on the side lane of a highway or whereever we actually landed up. So we had to drive all the way back, partly paying taxi drivers by ourselves.
