Amazing Ijen Hike

Me and my girlfriend had the most amazing experience with our wonderful tour guide Tony and our driver Mr Rizal. It was very well organised with a timely pickup and handing of gas mask, head torch, hot drinks, water and snacks. Tony was very prompt and managed to get us right at the front of the trek and away from the large crowd for a more peaceful experience. The hike into Ijen crater itself was tough and a lot of caution needs to be advised when walking the rock path down as it can be very slippery with little safety features. However, the blue flames were breathtaking to see. The sunrise portion of the trek was also lovely as Tony took us to a secluded area to watch the sunrise which was breathtaking with a lovely view of Java and a mesmerising view of the crater from distance. Overall, an experience worth the money. I also want to say a special thank you to Tony who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and to have a laugh.

One of the best Tours I have been

This is definitely one of the best tours I have done ! I'm so soo glad I have booked with them because they made the day more special than what already was! My partner and I did the hike on the day of my Birthday and my partner proposed to me on the top looking at the crater. Our guide help us all the way and was extremely kind , helpful and just such a nice person . He made sure we saw the blue fires ( you have to be quite quick going up the hike if you want to make sure you see them as they go away when the sun goes up) , so he helped us all the way along and took many pictures and video for us at the blue fire . He recorded the proposal and had all the patience for us to be in the moment and enjoy the place. On the way down , when we reached the camp ground , our guide give me a Birthday cake as a surprise and sang me Happy Birthday which was so nice of him and I will never forget how special they made me feel. We also went to fruit market and our guide got me delicious fruit to try and bot me a bag to take home ! If you want to have the best time and someone that cares about the small things, I recommend them 10000% and you will not regret it ! Thank you so much for being part of this amazing day

Awesome Ijen with Nido and Dika

The trip was truly amazing. We enjoyed not only the beautiful views of the Ijen and its surrounding but also the companion of two wonderful people Nido and Dika. Great tour with Nido, the best guide ever

The organisation with East Java Paradise Travel was easy and very uncomolicated. We were picked up in our hotel on time and with Nido we had the best guide we ever had. He was funny, caring, and shared his experiences with us. He also helped us with translation so that we could buy some local fruits there. We had a great hike to the blue fire and were the happy ones who saw it. Thanks, Nido for this great experience.

Ijen Crater with Pick-Up in Banyuwangi and Drop-off in Bali

We are so grateful we found this tour company! We were picked up by a driver at 3 am at our hotel in Banyuwangi, with our luggage and everything, then taken to the Ijen Mountain, where a different tour guide met us and walked with us to the summit. The hike is not too hard and the views were absolutely stunning, while the guide was very approachable and knowledgeable and shared a lot of anecdotes with us. After the hike, we were given breakfast by the tour guides, then our driver took us to Ketapang port, purchased ferry tickets for us and made sure we got on the ferry. Once on Bali, we were picked up by another driver who took us straight to our guesthouse there. Communication through Whatsapp to get information and book the tour workes flawlessly, Yoga was always available when we reached out with questions. Everything was organized so well, everyone involved was super nice and we felt safe and taken care of. If you are looking to clim the Ijen and to transfer from Banyuwangi to Bali on the same day, I would 100% recommend booking with this company, you will not regret it!

Great tour, great guide, must see.

We went to Ijen in late April and this tour was amazing! Our guide was Pebri and he was so kind and knowledgeable. We were meant to be picked up at 2.30am to see the blue fire but it was closed as there were too many toxic gases where the blue fire normally is and the crater entry time was pushed back to 4am. So we changed our pickup to 6am as we needed some sleep and the only reason to get up early is to see the blue fire. Pebri and our driver Fredy had no problem with this and we're very accommodating. They were there right on time and brought us some food as well 👍 We drove to the crater parking which took about 30 mins and Pebri organised all the tickets and parking for us. We then started the hike up which is about 3.2km (5km around the rest of the rim) and 500mish of climbing. The views were amazing and Pebri pointed out the different mountains and how Ijen was formed. When we got to the top there was a lot of smoke from the crater so we couldn't see anything straight away. We put on our gas masks that Pebri bright for us where all the sulphur rock and mineral are and then walked around the rim of the crater. Pebri "whistled" the wind to come and blow the smoke away with a traditional Indonesian kind of "wind whistle", like a rain dance. It must have worked as eventually the wind came and blew way all the smoke and we got some fantastic pictures. Pebri knew exactly where to stand and how long to wait for. Turns out others had been waiting over 2 hours and we only had to wait 10 minutes whilst walking around the crater rim. Pebri took some awesome pictures and videos for us as well. When we were leaving, Pebri helped to book our ferry to Bali as well and then our taxi and second ferry to the hotel. He was so helpful. All in all a great experience, would definitely recommend to everyone who visits Java and especially Pebri, what a guide.

Beautiful natural site with a well-versed, friendly guide.

Amazing natural beauty, on the way up and at the top! Very unique site, and the tour guide was friendly and knew his way around, all of the best spots and people.

The tour was great and a lot of fun

Nothing enough to say about this company. They arranged the tour very well. Very responsive and they were totally care to every detail we need before booked. We had a lot of questions and the operator was very kind and helpful to give any informations we need. Even they arranged our transport to Bali. We got a best moment and great tour. Book with this company is highly recommended.

Ijen creater tour Everything was perfect

The tour was very nice and everything was well organized. We had a good time at Ijen as we saw the view was very beautiful and the team (the driver & guide) from this organization did their job perfectly. Highly recommended to use their service.

Great experience

Even though we just booked in the morning of the actual tour, the communication was easy and good. Equipment except a gas mask (which one could borrow for 50k) and a breakfast was given. The tour guide was really nice, even though his English wasn’t the best. As 3 students we totally underestimated the tour and due to the smoke it was really exhausting, but epic at the same time. So much respect for the tour guide and especially the miners who work there - we really got humbled there. Thank you for the interesting action and we definitely recommend the tour for every hiker - be in a good physically shape though.

Excellent hike up Ijen

We had an excellent hike with our great guide LeLe. LeLe helped us hike, explained everything along the way, and took great photos of us. We felt safe the entire time.

Great tour - glad we did it.

Superb trip. We were picked up at 00.15 and driven to the start (which opens at 02.00). Our guide Jee was great and took good care of us, making sure we were safe and having a good time. The trek up took about 90 minutes, but we did it quite quickly. The climb down into the crater is about 30 mins, followed by impressive views of the blue fire and sulfur vents and miners. We then went back up the crater and to the sunrise viewpoint, which was beautiful. We were provided with good gas masks (absolutely essential). We were picked up earlier than stated (at our request), and they kindly dropped us off at the ferry terminal afterward. A note of caution - the hike isn't for the unfit, and can be steep and slippery at times. But it's well worth it. Great tour. Would book again.

The most amazing trip I 've ever done on Java

The trip was very amazing. I was starting this trip from Ubud, Bali with my friend. The staff was so friendly. We had a lot of questions for this tour and Yoga help us very quick to solve it. He organised the tour very professional and the team was very amazing too. When I was at Ijen the guide Lili was very amazing. He took care of us very well during the tour. The view : Ijen lake view and sunrise were so so wonderful . In short, we are very lucky on that day. I personally recommend this tour agency 100% to everyone who wants to visit Ijen crater. Incredible experience

Was such an amazing tour, our driver spoke no English and we weren’t to sure what was going on but when we arrived at the starting point we met our amazing guide and had some food and coffee! Then went up it’s hard enough but few little breaks and it’s fine! Down into the crater and seeing the blue fire was amazing!! Then our guide explained how the miners work (as he used to be one to) and it was just incredible! Back up for sunrise and the view the whole time was just insane! Highly recommend!

AMAZING!

We did a blue fire + Ijen crater tour and it was AMAZING! The team helped us with all the transport organisation from Bali, accommodated different plans (the group split after the hike and they helped each of us to get to the next destination), the guide was AMAZING! Super respectful, genuine, caring and had a great sense of humor! (no silly tourist jokes unlike a lot of other guides on the way were practicing). 1000000% recommend!!

One of the best experiences of my life!

I cannot say enough good things about this tour, our guide Andy and our driver Julien were two of the best guides I have ever used. They are both professionals with great English and did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our trip. The trip itself was truly spectacular! They collected us from our hotel right on time and brought us to the base of the mountain where we began our trek up to the summit and then down into the crater. All the equipment was provided (gas mask and headlamp) plus water and breakfast. Andy is very knowledgeable about the crater, the local area and was very keen to talk to us about our lives and also give us a background of his own. Both guys are really funny and this made the trip even more enjoyable. They were even so kind as to bring us to the ferry port after the tour so we could continue to our next destination. The whole experience is simply unforgettable and the views and sights you will see will last you forever. I can not recommend this company enough!

Fantastic Blue Fire and Lake

I took a tour with my husband from Bali and crossed to Banyuwangi by ferry. We booked a simply homestay near by town square of Banyuwangi. Looked for a travel agency for Ijen tour and I found this one. Once we have questions the staff was so friendly and kind to answer our question about itinerary. Tour began around 01.00 am, both driver and guide were on time. Meanwhile me and my husband got busy on packing our stuff. Ups! The driver and guide were so friendly and always keep smiling. They just show a genuine the good thing they could do. The guide (Dini) told me everything she knows about Ijen, Banyuwangi culture and some Javanese words we could learn from her. That was a good we had along the trip. We hike Ijen for blue fire, luckily we could see the phenomenon of blue fire where so many traveler's want it too. All safety equipment had already prepared by the guide and you just rent it for IDR 50 thousand/person that's good for traveler's safety. Around 07.00 heading back to the car and went to further destination - we went back to Bali and drop off point at Ketapang Ferry port. Everything was good with the services either guide and driver. Tour operator was friendly and quick response.

Amazing Trip, Blue Fire Ijen with Yoga and crew.

Me and my husband was traveling to Ijen on the last two days ago. Before we decided to go to Ijen I was in Bali for 5 days. Since I was in Bali, my friends told me that they were from Ijen to see one of the biggest acidic lake on earth and that was amazing! They saw blue fire and the beauty of the lake! I wanted that too! Well I googled the travel agent that organize Ijen tour and I got confuse which one should I book to organize my Ijen tour. I asked my friend and said that they booked this tour with Yoga (Tour Operator) they shared his travel company on TripAdvisor and I checked this out :D Well I decided to book Ijen tour with Yoga. He answered and explained all my questions in detail during chat and set my tour plan. I was in Bali and I had no idea to go to Ijen, and Yoga made it happen. He organized the transport that picked us up at the hotel to drop off at Gilimanuk and accros to Ketapon (an extra charge involved - no problem as long as it safe cause that was a midnight tour, but not too expensive). Once I arrived at Ketapong, I met the crew either driver and guide were so polite and really good service. The driver drove the car very smooth and the guide Andi was a good one. He always made us laugh, informative; he knows everything and kept us safety. Yoga and his crew run a professional service to organized the tour. You got breakfast box (western style) and coffee/tea break at parking lot after hiking Ijen. No worry about the tour itinerary, after Ijen you still have another spot (waterfall and plantation) you should visit before drop off point. It is fully recommended. Good job Yoga, his crew and his company!

Great moment

Magnificent, great experience with breathtaking views. I recommend the climb to anyone passing through Indonesia. Really something not to be missed!!! Thanks to Daniel who came to pick us up in Bali to drop us off at the foot of Mount Ijen where Nido took over for an unforgettable climb… thank you for everything

Cela faisait très...

Cela faisait très longtemps que je voulais me rendre au Kawah Ijen. Pour autant, je n'ai effectué la réservation que deux jours avant le tour en me basant sur des commentaires lus sur Tripadvisor et en regardant sur Internet le prix du tour. Nous sommes très contents de l'excursion avec mon épouse. Notre chauffeur Helmi est venu nous chercher au milieu de la nuit à notre hôtel Kokoon et nous avons récupéré notre guide Aye sur la route allant à l'entrée du parc. Nous avons eu le droit à une boissan chaude et une bouteille d'eau et nous avons commencé la montée à un bon rythme pour arriver au lever du soleil en haut du cratère. Aye a pris beaucoup de photos qui nous laissent de très beaux souvenirs. Après la descente, nous avons eu droit à un petit déjeuner et Helmi nous a raccompagnés à notre hôtel. Merci beaucoup à Aye et Helmi ! L'endroit est fabuleux. Nous avons eu de la chance avec la météo et nous sommes heureux d'avoir pris part à cette excursion.

Sehr schönes Erlebnis!

Wir wurden pünktlich um 00.30 morgens abgeholt. Ein privater Fahrer hat uns gefahren. Oben angekommen wurden wir von einen Tourguide über die ganze Tour begleitet. Frühstück und Gasmaske waren inklusive. Taschenlampe mussten wir extra bezahlen (15000irp/pro person). Anschließend sind wir 1h Berg auf gewandert, was relativ anstrengend war. Oben angekommen began der Abstieg in den Krater 1h). Im Krater selbst, konnte man sehr nahe zum Bluefire. Als es hell wurde sind wir wieder aus dem Krater heraus gelaufen und konnten den Sonnenaufgang fotografieren. Alles in allem eine beeindruckende Tour!

Unkomplizierte Buchung, tolle Führung

Wir haben relativ spontan per Whatsapp Kontakt zum Vernatsalter aufgenommen und sofort eine Antwort bekommen. Sehr unkompliziert konnten wir dann unsere Tour zu einem guten Preis buchen. Wir wurden pünktlich abgeholt, der Fahrer und Guide waren äußerst nett und sprach gutes Englisch. Der Guide ist auf unsere Fragen sehr hilfsbereit und offen eingegangen und hat uns auch über die Tour hinaus geholfen - zb beim Buchen der Fähre nach Gilimanuk, ohne etwas dafür zu verlangen - ehrlich gemeinte Hilfsbereitschaft! Toll! Gerne jederzeit wieder:-)
