Wonderful Pearl Dinner Cruise

Never again.

The music was too loud and made my ears hurt. I would have liked to just look at the scenery and eat in peace. Couldn't even hear my own thoughts.

Avoid, shambolic unhelpful company

Told us our tickets were cancelled after we had travelled to Bangkok and arrived at check in. Rude and unhelpful staff. Received the cancellation email a day after the event. The cruise wasn’t actually cancelled though as we watched it sail away from the dock. On its return we spoke to some of the customers who said it was shambolic and the food and drinks service was very poor so not a big miss in the end. AVOID at all costs

UNSAFE for anyone needing medical assistance!

Took this dinner cruise in March 2022 and loved the scenery. Recommended my daughter and husband to do it on their visit May 2023. She checked in with the manager, to inform him of her severe nut allergy and asked if he could have staff let her know what had NO nuts. She consumed 2 bites of a dish which was deemed as safe (broccoli salad) and had a severe reaction because it had actual nuts. Some of the staff were LAUGHING??!!! No one onboard knew how to respond or checked in with her. Thankfully her husband has First Aid, a guest gave her Benadryl, and her epi pen was on standby to be used. She spent the ENTIRE cruise below deck throwing up, keeled over in pain, with observing. So she wrote to the company, and received a reply from Nicha they couldn’t offer her a redo of the cruise or even a refund. REALLY??? How greedy can this company be? Not to mention the negligence of having 200 people onboard, and not ONE staff is trained to manage a medical emergency? This is not a small business. There are many in the boat, and each ticket cost $80 Canadian. Extremely disappointing: I will go out of my way to post on my FB and Instagram, do not take the cruise with this cruise line. Shame on you!!

Terrible service. Really disappointing.

Really disappointed with the whole experience tonight and completely spoiled the evening. To be perfectly honest, it was carnage from the start before even getting onto the boat. Chaos with no clear direction for where we were going or what we were doing. Was completely mis sold on a number of things from seating to what was included in the package. Was sat on the bottom level of the boat, had a view of the buffet which resembled feeding time at the zoo. There was zero service or attentiveness from staff, infact we had to flag staff down ourselves on a number of occasions just to try and get a drink. Got increasingly frustrated with what should have been a lovely evening. Tried to order a bottle of wine before the boat had even left and none available. Was left with spirits, beer or cocktails. My mojito was essentially just soda water with mint leaves. Expressed our disappointment to them which proved to be pointless. When we told them we weren’t paying for what little we had, all of sudden we had 4 staff chasing us to pay. There was never a problem with paying, always happy to pay for good service, and more so with great service. The point was, the service in general was terrible. We were completely ignored. I’m sure some really love the experience, I think if you have a seat on the top deck the experience is amazing. Much more atmosphere and ambience. I’d recommend you check that before booking. It certainly wasn’t worth the 2500 Baht per person we paid. There was 4 of us and you couldn’t have got us of the boat quick enough. Waste of an evening, simply paying for the neons on the boat. Wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely WONDERFUL

Worth it! Great views of the grand palace, wat arun, a bridge (dunno what it's name is sorry). As well as a fantastic band who actually does a decent cover of bohemian rhapsody too. It was such a blast taking a look at all the views. We managed to score a seat at the front of the boat. I don't know if it is because trip.advisor get priority tickets or if you're in a pair you're more likely to be outside or what but when booking if I were you I'd try to get out the front of the boat or even request to be on the rooftop space if at all possible even if it costs extra somehow. WORTH ITS MONEY

Crowded, but fun.

The cruise was nice and the food was, surprisingly, good for a buffet. The table spacing was very close. Not overhearing your neighbors table conversation was impossible until the music started. The lower level had practically no one seated there and even the offer to relocate would have been appreciated. The band was experience's life line. They took requests and played music from many genres. The fireworks and bridge light shows were also enjoyable.

Great night out

We had booked this in advance of our trip. Difficult to get to mainly due to narrow roads around and volume of people. You are amassed at the pier (it was number 2 for us). The allocation of tables seemed good. The service was also good and attentive. There seemed to be mad rush for the food but there was plenty. My only criticism would be the food was in random places and it was chance or in my case prompted by staff to go looking in other areas. Hubby was a bit perturbed while getting his deserts as he loaded and ate a mouthful of what he thought was pistachio icecream only to find he had swallowed a mouthful of wasarbi that was nearby in the suchi section. The food variety was good and we were also happy with the quality. Great opportunity to see the city by night. A band played throughout the cruise and there was also a traditional dance show. I would recommend this.

We enjoyed it immensely. The dinner and entertainment. I didn't see the Thai dance last night. Did I miss it?

Leap Year Birthday celebration

An amazing way of celebrating my wife's 40th on February 29th: her verdict was "Best Birthday Ever". This cruise is fun, buzzy, colourful and memorable. The buffet was exceptional and plentiful in quantity, quality and variety, the live entertainment fabulously noisy and exciting, the views of the city from the boat enchanting. We loved it and would go again tonight if we could.

Wonderful cruise.

We booked this cruise for our family Christmas Eve dinner celebration. The temples, bridges and hotels were all lit up in the evening. Was so beautiful to see!! And wow. The new Iconsiam shopping mall was breathtaking. So opulent. The cruise was smooth. No issues with seasickness. However.... it took a long time to board. Part of the issue was having to take the obligatory photos before you board which caused delays. Meanwhile, people who already boarded had started in at the buffet. When we finally got seated, a lot of the food (sushi) had run out. They just shut it down as there was no more left. The other hot food was plentiful and at various stations around the ship. Most of it was meh. Just ok. But we didn’t take this dinner cruise for the food. It was for the beautiful views of the Chao Phraya River, and the beautiful weather in December. The memories and the photos. The live band was good but it a tad too loud. Couldn’t hear each other talking. Music was good but sometimes we just wanted to talk amongst ourselves. And we couldn’t. The Views made it worth going.

3 Stars Because of the Vendor and not the Boat

I started contacting this vendor weeks before the cruise, to ensure I had the seats of my choice for a Christmas night dinner cruise. While the boat itself was very nice and there was a variety of food available, the service staff couldn't answer a simple question as to what type of dressings were sitting out. The vendor Viator, never completed my seat request so when I checked in for my cruise I was seated below the main level....WTH 😬. After going from 1 person to another and showing my communication someone finally accommodated us for the seats we had requested. So in the end the service from this tour operator barely meets a 3 so use someone else if you decide to do this dinner cruise or if you don't mind not having a seat preference, then book away with them

A bit disappointed

I thought I had the best of both worlds - sunset and night scenes. What turned out was it was rather hazy during sunset time and as for nighttime, the boat will have navigated to Asiatique by then so you do not get to see the night scene of the area around Wat Arun and the palace as the boat passes those areas around sunset time but before it gets dark and for the area to light up. Food was not too bad but I didn't expect much as I was in it for the cruise.

Relaxing Dinner Cruise

We booked online which was really easy. On the day of the cruise, we went to River City early to get our stickers and were assigned seats outside on the deck so we got a very nice view of the buildings and sights during the cruise. The buffet dinner was also very good. The downside was that it rained and we had to go inside for a while until the rain was gone. This cruise was priced mid-range but the atmosphere was more relaxed and the entry to the boat was more orderly than the cheaper ones with so many people. We've tried the cheaper one before and this one is definitely better and worth the money.

Well maintained ship, spacious, and very nice view cruising along the Chao Phraya river. Affordable cruise with family and nice live music from band.

Bad Experience. Ruined Parents Birthday.

I came here with plans to celebrate my parents 70th birthday. Brought our own special cake and told the waiter after we boarded. We waited for about 1.5 hours but nothing. My wife and I checked three times in between with answers telling us to just wait. After getting so fed up and annoyed, we complained again; then the waiters took us to the first floor, to a small seat for 4 (we alwere total 7). They brought back our cake, partially destroyed. The band was kind enough to squeeze in a birthday song for us, but too late, as everything was ruined for pur family already. Don't come here for important occasions. I suggest not to take any risk here. Thanks to today, everything was all terrible; food, service, music, everything. Will not recommend at all.

A Business Class Experience

As the higher-end alternative to the Grand Pearl Cruise, the Wonderful Pearl really tries to up the luxury for its guests. The interior of the ship shouts modern Asian luxury, and food options are varied and abundant. They will not run out of food to serve! Coffee and tea are included but not juice or alcoholic drinks. The ship provides nice though very loud band music on its dining room stage, but those who prefer a quieter experience can stroll around on the upper deck. Seats are pre-assigned, but everyone is allowed to roam around the ship. There are no descriptions provided for the pretty sites the ship passes on the river, so families can choose to do some research beforehand if they wish to know about each site. Overall, a posh and relaxing experience. Great for a finale meal on the last night of a trip.

Much quieter at 5.30pm

We had a fantastic time on the boat, sharing the experience with only one other family! We went for the 5.30pm sailing so we could see the actual sunset. Thank goodness! When we got off at 7pm the dock was packed, this would have made for a completely different experience. Food was a good spread, plenty for the 8 of us to enjoy. There was a guy playing a saxophone while we cruised, absolutely lovely. Only recommendation is that you pack your own drinks because a can of coke is 80 bhatt. We were given a glass of water when we sat down, but this wasn't refilled.

Its Wonderful Cruise Dinner! 👍🏽

I tried the boat dinner while I was in Bangkok, as I have never done it before. The experience was interesting for me. First, I took the boat service from the hotel where I stay to another boat station where the represntative of the dinner cruise waited on the pick up location. And they took me to the minivan with other guests. Then the driver drove us to the main drop off area where was inside the mall by the river. Then they put the sticker on to my cloth based on the sitting arrangement. When the boarding time, they divided by the color of the sticker they put on. My sticker was Yellow, and my table was on the top outside deck near by main stage, which was soo cool 😍😁 On the way to the boat, there was photo session with the 2 people who wore Thai traditional dress. And I bought the picture for my souvenir by the end of the cruise. It was just THB 200/piece, soo cheap 😂 And to be honest I did not even know because it was arranged by my local friend in Bangkok (good things I have - friends everywhere 😄😄😄) * They have about 4 buffet stations (1 on each side of the boat - 1 at the back for outdoor - 1 in the middle deck) and I can go to any buffet station. The food pretty much the same, just buffet station in the middle deck had more variety of sushi for sushi lovers. Food quality was good, Thai cuisine taste still original. And they served some variety of international dishes too. * Entertainment was good too. They sing variety of songs, but wondering why they did not sing Thai song , lol 😂😂😂 * Scenery from the river during the night was totally different. As I mostly explore Bangkok on day time. View was incredible, the bridge, the palace, the temple, the lights, and many things were just great. Overall experience was great, specialy include pick up and drop. However, the price was not include with the drinks, but they provided ice water on free flow.

Horrible...

You spend this much money, it should at least include soft drinks or juice. No this does not! There are cheaper cruises on this river that have more variety and include drinks. I can understand charging for alcohol but come on.. at least include more than just water. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice boat but you are certainly paying for the atmosphere not the food. Find another boat to go on. Yes I have been on other dinner cruises and they have been better and cheaper.

We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner cruise. The event was very well organised. The boat was stunning and the food plentiful and delicious, with a great range of choices.. Staff were very pleasant.The live music was excellent. Although, being seated outside we seemed to miss out on the traditional Thai group.Sitting outside was very pleasant. Great views of the city.Although the food was served on a lower deck there were escalators which made it very easy to access.Tourists, only in Bangkok for a very short time, we were delighted with the experience we had on the memorable Wonderful Pearl Dinner Cruise and would highly recommend it to others.Added bonus of being able to shop in the beautiful River City mall before and after dinner. Delighted to find some quality Thai silk products there.

It's great!

Cruise on Chao Phraya River I recommend Wonderful Pearl Cruise. This boat is suitable for couples. They offer buffet, and the band sings love songs. The best place to go to the top deck, you can enjoy the scenery along the way, very romantic. Tips: When asking for the top deck, it is best to use Thai. If you write in English, they may overlook your request. In foreign countries, use their language. How do we get to the top? Because friend is a Thai, when picking up the ticket friend told the staff that we would like to sit outside and watch the scenery. It is important to have a local friend in Thailand. #泰国旅行# 夜游湄南河（Chao Phraya River），推荐Wonderful Pearl Cruise 这艘船适合情侣。船上提供自助餐，还有乐队唱情歌。能要到顶层的位置最好，可以欣赏沿途风景，那叫一个浪漫。小贴士：在申请顶层位置时，最好用泰语，写中文别人不一定看得懂。在国外，要学着尽量使用他们的语言或者英语。我们是怎么要到顶层的呢？因为朋友是泰国人，是朋友去取票时和工作人员说想要坐在室外看风景的。有一个当地朋友很重要。

Horrible in food and service.

Worse was impossible. The food was of very poor quality and quantity. The service was terrible and almost rude. The price of drinks is outrageously expensive. Never. A complete disappointment.

Dinner cruise from 08/16/23

The directions are not very clear to get on the right boat and find the ticket counter where you can collect your tickets. Once on board, we were surprised by the chaos: people were rushing to the buffet. We were seated at a table inside, but I asked to be seated outside to admire the view. Some dishes were starting to no longer be stocked (even though we had just boarded). Food quality is standard. There remains the nocturnal urban landscape which is very nice and the live music which creates a good atmosphere. The service was quite good.

Barco novo, comida "ok". Música agradável, show com dança tipica praticamente inexistente. Não recomendo.

食べるものには困りませんし、初めての方にはお勧めです バンコク市内の寺院のライトアップが大変綺麗です 私は2回目のバンコク観光、2回とも乗りましたが、船の中でのステージも前回とは変わってバージョンアップ していました。
