Excellent alternative to chill out in Bangkok

Very nice food, service, and music. Incredible sights of Riverside Bangkok. Suitable for all ages. The mall where you check in is nice.

View from the river

It's great to see Bangkok by night. Wat Arun or the great palace look tremendous, seen from the river in full light Buffet was okay either, so it is worth the price.

Bit of a let down

The cruise itself is ok , we sat upstairs on the open deck and saw lots of attractions throughout the cruise . Wat Arun lit up by night is very beautiful. Music and entertainment was ok , the singers are good . The real problem for me was the food . To be honest it was brutal . Barely tepid and not a great variety. It was mostly fish dishes and there was a beef stew and 2 types of roast chicken, either plain or with gravy. The queue system was a bit all over the place , no one knew where to actually join the queue for food and it was very slow moving so the barely tepid food was cold by the time you got back to your seat . It would have been nice to have some nice Thai cuisine, currys or stirfrys but unfortunately not an option. I still enjoyed the cruise , took in some beautiful sights and had a few glasses of wine so it wasn’t a total loss . Would I do it again ? No , there are probably better options of cruising the river .

Great tour along the river with dinner and music

Very nice boat for the dinner cruise. Grand entrance to James Bond music and lighting. Amazing selection of food at buffet, music was very loud on top deck as we were seated 2 tables away from speakers so that ruined it a bit. Amazing views and lighting on buildings and bridges along the way.

Perfect night on the Chao Phraya

Our group had an incredible time on the Wonderful Pearl. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The boat was beautiful and clean. The cherry on top was the excellent and fun entertainment.

Worth every penny

Buffet was awesome, staff was excellent, music was good , food everywhere and nice scenery. The buffet was worth the price of ticket. Everything else is a bonus and more

Not so great

Not so great as it was raining, cannot go to the roof top. it was crowded and kids couldn't enjoy much. the lights were dim. We felt bored after some time. not value for money. Food was not that great

Smooth sailing : Great viewsBIG buffet food choices:Nice atmosphere, and music.:very comfortable: Pleasant staff. Many of the other dinner cruise boats passed half empty , I think we made the right choice. Only issue be aware this cruise does NOT leave from Icon Siam but River City so unlike many passengers having to do the last minute scramble by boat to River City.

Boat trip with lively band

Plenty of choice and not too pricy. The band was very lively. Finding a taxi at the end was a bit tough, all of them want to be off meter.

This was a great end to our Bangkok trip! The food were amazing and lots of it. We were seated in the air-conditioned area with the food buffet within our reach. There was a live band during dinner. Once we finished eating, we went upstairs and watched the Chao Phraya River which was lit up

Ok, great views

The ship looks amazing in the photos and compared to others we passed it was pretty decent. I would say that the onboard view was less impressive, a tad crowded and you did not feel comfortable leaving your allocated table empty in case it became occupied by those looking for an uniterrupted riverside view. Our table seemed a late addition, plonked outside at the rear and too close to the smelly smokers area. Food was ok but not fantastic. As to the views, lovely, decent pace to allow for good photos. There were bands playing on the two decks but if you were watching them you missed out on the view so pretty much superfluous.

Horrible cruise

Food was horrible. Also had roaches on the buffet table. One star is too many. Service was subpar also.

Impressive Start...until the Roaches arrived.

The staff was great. Food was marginal for my humble opinion. The meats were tough. Fish was tasty. Drinks were good. Near the end of the dinner buffet, my husband spotted a large roach crawling from under a serving platter and pointed it out to one of the workers. When the worker moved it, my husband saw about 10 other small roaches scattered.

Enjoyable dinner cruise through Bangkok

This was a very enjoyable and scenic dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. The cruise begins next door to our hotel, the Royal Orchid Sheraton on the river. The buffet dinner was good, though some popular items liked shrimp ran out. Beverages and service were also good. We enjoyed the band that played most of the cruise; they sang an assortment of favorite pop and rock songs. The nighttime scenery was great. Major temples and bridges are well lit to show in the night. There were lots of good views. The cruise length is just right at about 2 hours. Get a table on the top deck, if possible. Highly recommended.

Great time.

Wonderful time. The driver was on time and very friendly. The boat was beautiful and I liked the offering of food available. The staff on board were very friendly. The entertainment on board was wonderful. Definitely recommend this cruise.

Definitely a good evening dinner!

My family, and group of friends had a really good time on this dinner cruise. We enjoyed the food and drinks (drinks are NOT included), the music was great, and the sights up top were great to see. The upper deck, which is great for viewing, does not have seating so you do have to stand. If you have issues, I’d recommend staying at your table in the lower decks. Getting on and off the boat was super easy, and the location was easy to find as well.

Great night out

Wonderful evening. Fantastic way to celebrate my birthday ... best ever. Our table was on the bow (front) deck. Perfect weather to see all the sights. Dinner was so good. Buffet of Asian food. Tremendous choices to choose from. You will not go hungry. Staff are friendly and helpful. 2 great "Live" bands in board. Overall, we had a wonderful night. Highly recommend this tour.

Very disappointed

Organized chaos! Stood in a queue for over an hour before boarding even though I booked through trip advisor. When finally seen asked when we had booked as could not find our names on list. I said I had booked over a month previously and they said they would try to find me a table! Finally got on and told us to start buffet and pointed through the window where to take food, never telling us that different areas had different food to take. Very very badly organised from start to finish., our boat was the wonderful pearl.

Don't do it

It is not worth it. Don't lose your money on it. First, upon arriving at the meeting place, you will be given a sticker and a voucher. Then, there is no organization or line. You will wait for the ship to arrive. Once you enter the cruise, they will guide you to a seat. Mind you, we paid for premium tickets and were assigned a seat inside. We called on the manager and asked him to be seated outside. He was very professional and tried to explain that all the outside seats are taken. We told him we have a booking that states our seating is on the open rooftop, and he told us he goes by the voucher only. After the cruise started, he managed to take our table outside and set us up. I would really like to thank the manager. He was great. Now let's talk about the cruise and dinner. Frankly, I wouldn't even go to it if someone paid me to go, let alone pay for it. It was the worst experience in Bangkok. The food was trash, very disorganized. Customers rushed to the buffet and came back full of seafood and other goodies, leaving the buffet with literally nothing. Save your money. Don't go, period.

OK party boat buffet

If you take this cruise you will get the following: An OK buffet serving the same sort of food you can get in any moderate priced lunchbuffet in North America, competently cooked and nice enough; Entertainment by a competent cover band doing 80s, 90s and 2000s numbers; Ten minutes of classical Thai dancing by two people What you will not get: Free drinks - all drinks are extra Any kind of sightseeing commentary - a few of the big, well-lit temples near the river can be seen if you look out for them; Thai food of any kind A romantic atmosphere Many of the people on the boat clearly wanted this and liked it. It wasn't what we had hoped for. There are very many boats cruising the river - you can see one or two at all times, and many have bright lights and are loud. Finally if you are not being transferred from your hotel, leave LOTS of time to get there. It took us 90 minutes from ordering our taxi at the hotel 8km away to get to the pier, and we were minutes away from missing the boat.

Not what we expected

Not what we expected. Couldn't wait to get off the boat. People cutting in line at the buffet. We had eaten by the time the boat left the dock so it was 2 hours of live performance of cheesy wedding reception songs? Better for an older local crowd?

Lovely cruise, great food

The views from the river at night are a must see in Bangkok, its just stunning. This cruise was a beautiful way to spend an evening although its in a later time slot so its not for sunset. We picked this operator (there are a lot on offer) as it looked like better food than others, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent quality, with lots of serving stations and choice. There were two levels of live music, one for the older crowd downstairs and also dancing on the rooftop. The staff were super attentive and professional. This is a lovely cruise, highly recommend.

Not even close to being worth the money.

The food was terrible, dishes were over cooked and cold. Seating was awful, ended up being seated on lower deck. When we finished dinner and went to upper deck, there was almost no place to stand for viewing the city scape. The boat was extremely crowded which made it a very uncomfortable experience.

Great way to experience Bangkok at night

This was the best way to see the Bangkok skyline at night. The food selection was good, but the highlight was the great service from the staff and the amazing views of the temples and the bridge!

Would have given no stars but wasn’t possible

Terrible company, we booked for the cruise and received confirmation and our tickets. We made a special trip by taxi from Pattaya and booked a hotel in Bangkok for the night. When we arrived at the check in area we were told our tickets were invalid, totally untrue. We were denied boarding by rude staff who were totally unhelpful. As it turned out we spoke to some people who actually went on the cruise and they said the experience was really poor and the food and drink service shocking. Avoid booking this trip at all costs. The day after I have received an email to let me know the trip is cancelled, a little late.

The whole trip was spectacular, staff couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming, food plentiful and excellent, Bangkok at night seen from the river a memorable experience(we had a table outside and at the front-the pointy end), also as a add bonus there was a fireworks display.

Bangkok Chao Phraya river cruise

Very enjoyable cruise topped by a fireworks show. Food was good, the river views at night snd the Christmas lights were memorable.

Memorable amazing experience

Amazing view of Bangkok. The view of the bridge from the cruise ship is a once in a lifetime. You can take in ao much from the amazing buildings and sites in Bangkok. The food is top notch and music is great. Just one objection. When I booked online it didn’t give an option to state your preference to sit on the top deck of the boat. This is higely problematic as they placed us inaide the boat and I had to beg them to find me a table on the rooftop.. the exxoerience is DEFINITELY not anywhere near the same if you don’t ait on the deck. Please give the option to state your preference (the agents that book the trips for their clients in Bangkok always asks that their clients are seated on the deck). A truly AMAZING and memorable experience on the deck of the boat looking out on Bangkok as you float by. The highlight of our stay in Bangkok for sure. An absolute must do and value for money… on the deck! Great experience!!!

Nighttime river cruise

Really nice cruise, got great view of Wat Arun at night. Band and Thai dancers were great. Food not brilliant for vegetarians - salad, plain rice and one dish broccoli/carrots in soy sauce but husband found the meat options really tasty. Overall really enjoyed the evening.

Surely a must for visitors

The cruise is wonderful! Wunderful is in particular the view on the surroundigs: illuminated temples, bridges radiant in various colors, and all the skyscrapers around - a mysterious experience. Good is as well the life music - first close to the buffet and eating area, later on the roof of the boat. As entertaining the music is, as disturbing it is for communication. The food itself is reasonable - probably the weakest part of the offer - and for its quality rather expensive.

Floating Market & Umbrella Market Tours

We just finished and are leaving now. This was a wonderful trip. So much to see and do. The umbrella market was great and we bought things we didn't even need but there was very little pressure. The floating market was fantastic as well, we didn't buy much here but it was like riding through Venice. Wonderful place, if you come to Thailand you must come to the floating market. Our guide "Visa" was very kind and educational. From start to finish he was teaching us something. Thank you so much for your help and all the care you gave us.

Great experience

Great experience by the river. Seat location is kind of random and you can either be very lucky (with music on top floor) or unlucky (inside behind the bar with lots of noise and almost no view to the outside)!

The views were amazing, food lovely and it was a very smooth, comfortable boat trip. Only issue was arranging to go to roof top which provided a much better experience. Staff were supportive eventually.

Love cruising along the...

Love cruising along the river with awesome sight of the Bangkok’s temples and landmarks light up at night while dining. Entertainment with live music and traditional Thai dance were just a plus. Food was okay.

Wonderful experience!

We had an incredible experience! Both Viator and Wonderful Pearl Cruise had great customer service! I accidentally made our booking for the wrong day, so we showed up to check in and didn't have reservations. Viator customer service and Wonderful Pearl Cruise staff worked together effectively and efficiently to make sure we were able to get a seat aboard. In addition, even though the top deck was full, when several guests didn't show up the staff made sure we were able to take the vacant seats and enjoy the level we had booked. Tremendous service. I typically don't enjoy live music as it's usually too loud and you can't even have a conversation with your party. However, the volume of the live music was perfect, the band was excellent, and the throwback songs they sang and played were some of my favorite! It was genuinely enjoyable. The boat and the restrooms were nice and clean, and of course the sights were beautiful. We had a wonderful and memorable experience!

everything was good. It was a memorable night for my date and myself. I would have liked to sit outside. I didn't know that was available. All in all, it was a beautiful night.

Great evening but a few things could have improved our experience.

We had a lovely evening on the river in Bangkok but there is a few things that would have made it better. When we boarded the boat and were shown to our seats no one told us to go and get the buffet food straight away whilst a number of tables went straight away. Drink service was fairly slow when we first boarded but the cocktails were great. Food was good but not amazing, there was not the variety that we have had with other similar trips. Would have also been good to have some information about some of the sites we passed. Overall a great evening but it could have been better.
