Our guide Yuut arrived early and was professional and helpful throughout our day with very good English. He was able to answer all our questions and we agreed a bespoke itinerary which met our needs - as one of us walks with a stick. i had expected more of a focus on temples given the title of the tour but we went with the suggestions offered. Yuut was attentive to our needs and safety and took us places off the beaten track which was really interesting. we ended up having to go to an ATM to get out more cash as we had underestimated the cost of entry / boat hire and the place we went for lunch said they accepted a card but then didn't - but we were supported in doing this. it was a lovely last day in Bangkok and allowed us to go places we would not have accessed independently.

This was one of the best tours that I have ever been on. The guide (I believe his name was Yuut, forgive my spelling) was so knowledgeable and informative and his English was spectacular. I was able to ask a lot of questions about Buddhism and receive great, in-depth answers. There was a lot of freedom to do things that were of interest to me and I saw a lot of sites that were outside the standard palace + reclining buddha set-list that most tours take you on. We even went on a boat ride and to the market. The guide was willing to do an 8 hour tour, and we only did less because I was so jet-lagged. I thoroughly recommend it; it was worth every penny.

Fantastic in 100 degree heat!

Jean was a phenomenal tour guide a walking historian every minute was fascinating. Jean was kind and attentive. He picked me up from my hotel and made sure I got back safely. I am 63 with some difficulty walking. Wow such a fine person. Pick Jean you will be enthralled!!!!!! I give him a 100000% score

Our fist time in Bangkok and just for a couple of days means we wanted to see as much as possible. Yuut made sure we had the best first day we could ask for. He guided us through all of the places we wanted to visit and gave extra explaination when needed.

Knowledge you’ll never find in a travel book

This is an excellent way to get in-depth history and information on the temples. As I expected our tour guide Yuut was WAY overqualified to be giving tours. He had a degree in English and had extensively studied comparative world religions. He was able to explain a lot of iconography and symbolism we saw at the temples as well as explain theology and basics of Buddhism across sects. This is not the kind of information you’ll get in a basic tour guide or in an audio tour. In addition he advised us on creating our itinerary to make the best experience for our 12 and 15yo. He was very flexible and having a private tour allowed us to customize the time we spent at each location. He also helped us navigate a local market for authentic street food lunch. This was much more fun than just doing it on our own and I highly recommend. FYI licensed tour guides are not charged entrance fees to the temples/ palace so you’re just covering your entrance fees and your tour guide’s lunch/snacks and travel incidentals like ferry tickets ($13 bhat) as they accompany you around the city. It’s well worth the cost to have someone so knowledgeable accompany and advise you.

Temple tour with a former Buddhist Monk

This is the third time I have hired Yuut to be a tour guide, and as always he did an excellent job. I hired him to take my wife and some of her family members to some of the temples in Bangkok, and they were very impressed with all the information and first hand experience he had, specially with his time spent as a monk. He can offer a perspective on what it is like to actually live and work at a temple, and the day-to-day routine that a monk experiences. I will not hesitate to hire him once again the next time I visit Bangkok.

A Day Well Spent with Guide Apple

I booked Guide Apple based on the reviews I read about her and she was everything I hoped for. She was really nice, very sweet, she really took care of us, helping us buy tickets and showed us the city in just a little short time. She is really knowledgeable and speaks very clear English. She is not only our guide but she also doubles as our photographer who takes very good pictures. If I ever return to Bangkok, I will definitely book her again as our guide.

Amazing tour with Yuut

Yuut, a former monk and an English teacher is an amazing guide. In addition to showing around, he would explain the intricacies of the statues, tell us stories about Buddhism, and even teach us a bit of Pali.

Grand palace tour with peach!

Peach is such a lovely guide. She is friendly and knows the area very well. She gave us detailed information about the palace and told many stories. She was well prepared. she had cold towels, umbrellas and phone charges for us. You can do no wrong with peach! Definitely recommendable.

Amazing temple tour with an fantastic guide

We visited Bangkok for 1 week tour with our 16 months old baby. Being buddhists myself and husband wanted to visit the major temples around Bangkok . We were very lucky to have Yuut as our guide for the tour. He was totally flexible with our needs. Also he was very caring to our baby's needs and even helped to carry his stroller in BTS. He explained very well about Thai culture and the value of the temples, we discussed a lot about Buddhism in our two countries and he is very knowledgable. Thank you very much Yuut for making our tour wonderful.

We really enjoyed our tour guide who was completely knowledgeable and a wealth of information. Great personality and spoke excellent English. Being that he was a monk for 10 years he had extensive knowledge of all of the temples we toured. Ask for Yut. He was amazing and made the tour come to life. It really is so much better to have some knowledge of what you are looking at and the special meaning behind everything which makes the experience much more valuable and special.

A very informative visit to Ayutthaya with a fantastic guide

I was very fortunate to be able to book Prayut 'Yuut' Rueangsaeng at the last minute as a guide to Ayutthaya. His knowledge of the history of the old capital of Ayutthaya is great, and he is able to offer insight that no other guide can, thanks to his 10 years as a Buddhist monk. Yuut would be an excellent guide for anyone who plans on visiting any of the hundreds of temples in and around Bangkok due to his deep understanding of Buddhism, and I plan on hiring him again on my next visit to Bangkok!
