An amazing day

Piyaporn was extremely knowledgeable regarding our tour of the various sites in Ayutthaya. She was very hospitable and took us to an amazing restaurant for lunch.

Kind and courteous

It starts with being prompt - a real plus. She was kind and courteous. We were particularly pleased with her attention to lunch, having a member of the party with a shellfish allergy. She paced the visit to our ability - slow with a “feels like” temp of 109! Highly recommend her for this tour.

Brilliant day out

Piyaporn met us at our hotel promptly and we spent our day travelling in a very comfortable air conditioned people carrier. Equipped with a big icebox full of cold water and as we got back to the car our lovely driver offered us cold towels which were very refreshing. We had discussed our day with Piyaporn prior to our visit...we have certain restrictions to our mobility and she planned a perfect day for us which covered all the highlights we wanted to see without the day being too challenging. We lunched with her in a locals restaurant and tried her recommendations which were delicious. A fantastic day and we will definitely recommend her as her local knowledge is excellent.

A great tour, knowledgeable and adaptable guide

Polly was very knowledgeable about the sites and a lovely guide. It was tremendously hot and she was steadfast in preparing herself to do the full Ayutthaya tour for us until we let her know we were exhausted with the heat (37, felt like 46 degrees in a heat wave) and really needed to limit it; she adjusted well according to our needs. She took about 100 photos for us along the way so that we could enjoy the sites without having to take our own.

Completely amazing!!!

As a group of three, we wanted to have an immersive experience while we were visiting Thailand and Bangkok. We checked many websites and services that had tours and we settled upon withlocals. We were able to select our guide for the tours we wanted and we were blessed to be able to find Araya. She was so amazing. We booked her for a tour each day we were available for a total of five tours. Everything from the ancient city to grand palace to hidden gems and markets. We did everything we could. She was such a wealth of information about everything. She made our time with her fly by and it never was dull moment. Through our discussions, she was so helpful in making our experience memorable she would make suggestions that help us avoid the more “touristy” offerings for better experiences and was able to, on one occasion, help arrange a private audience with a temple monk for a teaching and blessing. We cannot say enough great and amazing words about Araya. If we ever get back to Bangkok, we will definitely be reconnecting and building new memories with her.

We had a wonderful trip to the ancient city of Ayutthaya with Piyaporn. We learned a lot of Thai history, saw beautiful old temples and tasted great Thai delicacies. Piyaporn’s broad knowledge of history, mixed with a lot of kindness and thoughtfulness makes this a trip we can highly recommend to everybody!

Polly is the best tour guide!

Look no further, because Polly is the guide you need for your next tour in Thailand! Besides being an absolute sweet heart - She is a wealth of knowledge, answering all of our questions in depth, taking us to the right spots at each place, and making excellent recommendations on what to eat. Polly made our trip so enjoyable, she took the time to know us, and tailored our trip to what we wanted to see. For example, she ended up planning for us to see Buddhist monks at their time of prayer at the end of our tour one day. It was such a unique spiritual experience! She is one of those people you meet in life that leave a mark!

Engaging and brilliant private day trip to Ayutthaya with Big, Thai/US guide who was GREAT

Having done a fair bit of online research, I came across Big and, reading the raving reviews, opted for a day tour of Ayutthaya and a floating market tour with him. It’s always a bit of a gamble but this time we felt as we’d won the lottery. Big was excellent. Having grown up and worked in the US whilst also being Thai and living more latterly in Bangkok, he was able to provide valuable context to history and cultural aspects we simply wouldn’t have had otherwise, and of course having grown up there, his English was Big is a really fun guy with a great sense of humour and it felt like hanging out with a mate. Big didn’t’ only tell us about the sights and history but introduced us to local food and customs (including a local sweet delicacy) and took us for lunch at a restaurant which seemed very authentic (no other tourists, except us) which was great, yummy food too. Big strikes me as a bit of a polymath and he seems to know something about most things, including European and British history which he linked back, which was interesting. The kids (aged 13 and 16) loved the tour and were engaged throughout. I will be recommending Big to anyone going to Bangkok; couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Ayutthaya and Piyaporn are INCREDIBLE

Ayutthaya was incredible to see, and Piyaporn was very knowledgable about each ruin and the overall history of the site. On top of that, she was very kind, answered all of our questions, and had a great sense of humor. Piyaporn was also very accommodating when it came to picking me and my friends up at separate hotels in the morning, and she was super helpful when it came to translating our lunch orders. We learned so much from our day trip to Ayutthaya and could not recommend a better guide!

Great day with Polly

Polly is a very knowledgeable guide. She was adorable and thoughtful with us during the whole experience. She also recommended a great restaurant to have lunch at and we had a very good day thanks to her. Thank you!

Great and insightfull day with Polly!

We spent the day with Ms. Polly, an excellent tour guide, and Mr. Pop, an impeccable driver. They picked us up at the hotel with a cool, new black car. Polly made the trip very enjoyable explaining all sort of details from Bangkok and the regions we were going through. One of the first things she said was that she would probably be able to answer 99% of the questions and then Google the 1% left: we bombarded her with questions all day and she was able to answer 100% of them! She was also very attentive from the get go: I asked a question at the beginning of the trip, she answered something related and we discussed for 15 on some other topic. Then, when there was some (natural) silence during the trip she remembered that she hadn’t answered my original question and answered it proactively, showing how much she was involved instead of just passively waiting during the trip to Ayutthaya! The trip was very well planned out, very beautiful and diverse visits of temples and nature. The driver was always waiting at the perfect spot, we never had to wait for him, we felt treated like royalty! Polly also has a good English so it was easy to follow her explanations, even with her covid mask. Polly was always proactively explaining the history of Ayutthaya and Thailand more broadly, and answering all our questions with patience and good humor. We were then brought for lunch to a place that felt a bit touristy, but not too much, with good river views and had some time on our own. Polly kindly shifted the trip 1h because I asked her to see the sunset in Ayutthaya, which we got lucky (she mentioned it can’t be seen some days because of fog) and got to enjoy! That meant we came back during the night. The driver still felt super safe and calm. I was very tired, but my partner and, particularly, Polly were not, and she kept answering all our questions and explaining more and more interesting things until the very last minute! Finally, Polly made lots and lots of great pictures, and she knew where to take particularly-beautiful ones. After the trip, she sent them all on Whatsapp. I asked her to send them to Google Photos and she kindly redid it all again twice, as there was an initial tech problem. I had already paid her and everything, yet she still went the extra mile. Before the trip we were concerned we had spent too much money, as it indeed is a bit pricey, but after an exceptional day with Polly, we think it was totally worth it!

Excellent guide who went above and beyond.

Piyaporn was a fantastic guide and gave us one of the best days of our trip. She provided tips before our tour regarding timings to make sure we made the most of the day and also provided useful and detailed tips after our tour had ended to make the most of our time in Bangkok. I can't recommend Piyaporn enough, book their tour today!

Wow. What can I say? Our guide, Chatchai, and our driver are amazing! We had the best time and the most delicious meal. I learned so much about the culture and history of Thailand. We also appreciate so much the comfort they provided. We get dropped off and picked up so conveniently. They really took great care of us. I also had the most interesting and engaging conversations with Chatchai. I found a lot of surprising connections plus he’s super knowledgeable about a lot of topic. Passion and culture

We had a very beautiful day. Punctual pick-up at our residence,spacious van, clean and very professional driver. Kung-Kingkamon welcomed us warmly smiling. The day was full of discoveries in many ways, all explained in full knowledge of the facts. She made us notice and appreciate every little detail, photographing us in many situations; We will keep these precious memories with us forever! Between one stop and the next, the driver, was waiting for us in the front row with fresh water, without making us wait under the sun...highly recommended!

Excellent Local Guide

We could not have a had as good a time as we did had it not been for Chatchai. We found Chatchai on an app called With Locals. The same app we used in Singapore. Chatchai arranged everything, taxis, Tuk tuks, a car service, the boat ride. He got us all of the admission tickets. His college background is in food science and he along with some friends own a restaurant. His passion is history. He knew everything about the sites we visited. And as. Buddhist was able to explain the meaning and significance of the fabulous things we saw. A big hats off and shout out to Chatchai. Thank You!!!

Ayutthaya day trip

Sammy was great! We booked him for a day trip to Ayutthaya. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited, and shared interesting information about Thai culture. He adapted the trip to our interests - taking us around a local market and to a local restaurant for lunch. He even gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip in Thailand. We highly recommend him!

Akarin was terrific

Akarin gave an excellent informative fact-filled tour. He was also able to answer virtually all of the many questions with which that my wife and I peppered him, and he also spent additional time with us beyond the scheduled tour length (for which we tipped him). He lived in the USA (state of Utah) for a year as a teenager and in the UK (for college) for a couple of years, so his English skills, including grammar and pronunciation, are excellent.

Fantastic day with Big

What an amazing tour with Big. He had the perfect balance of history, culture, humour and food. He offered great insight into thai culture given that this was our first time to Thailand. Really loved seeing the roti being made and getting to taste it hot off the griddle. His energy and passion about his culture never waned and was never boring given the length of time we spent together. Really nice comfort during the day including cool water and cool refresher towel. Amazing location for lunch. Overall a fantastic experience. Thank you Big.

Excellent day tour from Bangkok

Excellent tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he made the history of Ayutthaya very interesting. Very well paced day, so many interesting sights, very comfortable car to travel in. We were only passing through Bangkok on our way to New Zealand so only had a couple of days to take in as much as we could - really pleased we did this tour. Booking arrangements with Viator were straightforward enough except that, at the time, we couldn't seem to enter our hotel location for pick up …. caused a little hassle later, but all good in the end.

Nui was our wonderful guide.

Our guide was very nice. Arrived on time. Driver was excellent. Van roomy and comfortable. She confirmed via email thru whats app. Showed us a very nice and interesting day. Provided us cool water and had umbrellas for heat. Took us to a nice restaurant for lunch. Very enjoyable day in the old ruins. We also really enjoyed the boat ride. We were 4 people. She took photos and sent them to us as well.

Great time exploring Ayutthaya

We had a wonderful time exploring Ayutthaya with Big. He was in touch before our trip & we had discussed some modifications to make it easier on our 3 kids. Big showed up promptly on time & was waiting at the hotel lobby. The car & the driver he had brought was awesome; very kind & patient driver. Big was a treasure trove of information; he is so well-read, provided fun facts, co-related several civilizations drawing parallels with the Thai kingdoms & let us occupied throughout the drive & the trip. He also smartly took us to the attractions such that we missed the big bus crowds, allowing the kids to explore more freely. He was very patient with our kids throughout. The Roti Sai Mai spot & the awesome local restaurant he stopped at for lunch were such special treats. We had a great time exploring Ayutthaya with Big & would highly recommend him.

Awesome Ayutthaya tour with Akarin

We spent our last day in Thailand with Akarin visiting Ayutthaya. Everything was perfect: we booked the tour on short notice, got in touch with Akarin and received valuable information. We were picked up from our hotel and visited amazing places together. Akarin knows so much! He told us so many interesting facts and answered all of our questions. Private tour food and city experience without queue

Hi it was very very nice stay with Nok, from first sight she appear very well organized, pick up at Port cruise. The tour was exactly as requested we see a loot of temples with very few people, it was everything well planned in our 2 days visit Bangkok and Ayutthaya. Moreover she explain very well all traditions from Buddha pray to Thai cusine. She is very patient, we were with 2 kids 6 e 8 years. At the end she pay a lot of attention to drop off us at correct timing. Mostly racommandet! Thanks Nok again!

Wonderful trip with Whetchayan to Ayutthaya

Wow, what an amazing day we had exploring Ayutthaya with Tonn. He had incredible knowledge of Thailand history and answered many of our questions. Great side trip from Bangkok!

My mom and I recently completed a private tour to Ayutthaya with our guide Piyaporn. It was the highlight of our trip to Bangkok thus far. I can't believe how amazing the ruins of the old capital and temples were. They were also a thousand times less crowded than the temples in Bangkok. If history is something you enjoy, you will love doing this private tour with Piyaporn. She was super knowledgeable and so helpful. She and the driver kept us plied with cold water and showed constant concern for our comfort. My mom is nearly eighty and we had real concerns about hours walking around ruins in the heat. We didn't need to worry at all. The transport van was comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Piyaporn also made things special by taking really nice photos from good vantage points. She was also flexible about start times and which temples to see. If you are considering this day trip, this one was really unforgettable! I can't recommend Piyaporn enough.

Excellent trip to Ayutthaya with Akarin!

Our group was very impressed by this tour with Akarin. His knowledge of the area and its history is fantastic and he communicates very well. The river prawn lunch was tasty and the boat trip very enjoyable. Akarin and the driver made sure that we made the most of our day, in terms of getting to everything planned, but without feeling rushed.

We had a memorable trip to Ayutthaya with Akarin. He was very organized, punctual and had a very good driver for the entire visit. Akarin speaks excellent English and knows the area very well. All the sites we visited were very beautiful and he provided the details that blended with the history. You can't do any better than Akarin as a guide to Ayutthaya. The boat ride was excellent, as well as the lunch recommendation. Akarin made sure that we didn't get caught in the busy Bangkok traffic. Excellent visit!

We had a great time!

We absolutely enjoyed our time with Piyaporn from the first second until the drop off at our hotel. She was able to teach us a lot about Thai history and made us vision things in Ayutthaya that are not there anymore. I can highly recommend the tour and would definitely book it again.

My mother couldn’t walk long way but Mr. tour guide were very clever and his choice were perfect! We are interested in Japanese village most. Also his expression was detailed and easy understood for us. We are Japanese and Germany so he spoke English and Japanese! Lunch was delicious. Mr. Driver was nice guy. Day trip to Ayutthaya with “Jik”.

My daughter and I planned this trip to Thailand to see the beautiful sites and learn about the History and Culture of Thailand. This day trip to Ayutthaya with “Jik” as our guide, met expectations on all counts. Pick up was on time at our Hotel. Comfortable Van with driver for the 1.5hr drive from Bangkok. Jik was very informative about the Ayutthaya history and the circumstances that prompted the movement of the Capitol from Ayutthaya to Bangkok. We toured temples and some remnants of the Palace grounds from years past. Great trip and history lesson. Thank you Jik.

Great day trip to Ayutthaya with personable guide Sudarat

Great day trip exploring the various temples and areas in and around Ayutthaya. Most tours are half-day that only feature the main temple ruins, but neglect the larger area visited by locals that includes monk quarters, active temples, and popular local attractions/food places. Guide Sudarat was great, constantly looking out for older family members, never rushing us.

Just perfect!

We had a one day trip in Ayutthaya with Donald at the beginning of november. He was just perfect! So kind and professional. He did his best to make us happy, thanks to him we had an amazing day and we really hope to go back soon in Bangkok and have some other trips with Donald! Absolutely recommended!!

Ayutthaya Trip

This was an amazing tour and Kung was the best guide. She really helped us capture the memories with both her camera and our phone. It included the perfect lunch, bottled water throughout the day and a lot of little extras that made all the difference. Highly recommend this tour.

Private tour to Atutthaya

Couldn't be more happy about our tour to Ayutthaya with Polly! Right from the begining, she was very friendly, kind, informative and attentive. She told many historical facts and stories about Thailand, Buddhism and Ayutthaya in a way that only a person with immense appreciation and interest for these things could. Of course, it was all in really good English, which is no surprise considering she's spent time living abroad. The tour was really well structured, we saw all the main beautiful temples and ruins, always navigating in a way to avoid all the tourist crowds. Besides the main places that you'd visit in Ayutthaya on your own, Polly's tour also included several really nice surprises, like rowing with another local in a traditional wooden row boat (won't spoil the rest :) ). For the photos Poly always suggested the most beautiful sceneries and was super happy to take pictures for us. We can only wish every guide was as great as Polly!

Terrific day visiting Buddhist monks, temples and historical sites. Learned a lot; some great photos and even a boat ride through canals. Polly was learned, organized and fun to be with. Took us for terrific lunch as well.

Wonderful day

Had a fabulous day out exploring Ayutthaya! Natcha was a wonderful guide and organized a great trip that was even better than we could have hoped for! Before hand, I mentioned that we were interested in both history and food - and she organized our trip around this. We got to see some amazing temples, during which Natcha explained the history and the customs which was fascinating. She then also took us for some street-side Roti (which was delicious) and a really great lunch down by the river (where we had some of the best green curry noodles I've had in a long time!). The car she organized for us was really big and comfortable and everything about the day was well organized and seamless. Natcha is so friendly and we had a great time talking to her and finding out more about Thai history and culture. We hope to see you again next time we come to Bangkok!!
