The temple tour was amazing! Cute Eddy was very informative about the history of the temples and made it fun! It was very spiritual. We would highly recommend taking some time to visit! Well worth it!

Great Trip to Ayutthaya

I met the tour bus at River City just outside of the China Town section of town. We explored four sections of the Ayutthaya Temple sites. Each site offered something different, and they were all amazing to see and read the different history. The tour bus and guide had lots of bottled water after exploring each site to keep everyone hydrated from the heat. We had time to visit local shops and cafes at each site to purchase merchandise, food and drinks. The last stop was the restaurant where we ate a local dish of our choosing prepared by elderly female Thailand chef who came out to greet us. Overall, I enjoyed my trip to the City of Ayutthaya and its many Temples.

All day Trip to Temples…incredible day

Beautiful sites!

Really great tour, however the “small group” is a stretch. It says max of 15 per group, but we had 18 in ours. Regardless, it was worth the trip and Paul was an excellent guide!

It's a great Tour

My group had 19 people in a mid size van. It's comfortable even outside was very hot. The lunch wasn't good. The tour guide was friendly.

Amazing tempels, enthousiastic tour guide, great food!

Fascinating tour with lots of interesting landmarks. You visit 4 tempels in total around the historic city of Ayutthaya. Our tour guide Paul had a lot of knowledge about the sites but most of all he was a great guy with lots of humour and wisdom. There is also lunch included after the third tempel. The thai basil stir fry was delicious! Overall a great experience, highly recommended.

Nice temples to visit

Our guide was very friendly and spoke a lot while walking around the temples. The temples/sites are interesting to see. Lunch was sufficient. Good transport. Just be aware of the weather, doing it in the hottest month of the year is maybe not the best idea if you’re not used to the heat! There is little shade at some of the temples.

Good cultural experience

Wonderful place and great tour. Paul very good guide who explained the history of the area and the meaning and value it has to the Thai people.

Great Tour

This was a great tour, interesting, visually stunning, well worth the money. There were about 18 people on our bus plenty of room and a/c worked well. Lunch was ok, get a mango shake on the way in to eat.

Highly recommended this tour

I booked the trip from Viator and the operator called BigCountry. It was a bit difficult to get response from their customer service team. They didn’t even found my booking &referrence #. I I have to contact the Viator to resolve the issue. I will still highly recommended this trip, and this operator because of their tour guide, and driver did the great job! I was picked up on time. The to guide Paul is very knowledgeable. He speaks good English. And the tour was well organized. The bus driver is a humble Person always turn on air condition before we arrived. If you would like to know the history, this is the must activity you will need to take. Highly recommend this tour!

It’s a boring event. You get to learn the history of the place but the weather was scorching hot and after the first 2 places, there wasn’t anything really interesting about the sites.

My wife and I had a great time exploring Ayutthaya. Our tour guide, Paul, was thoughtful and informative, with a great pace at each location. And we got to Bangkok with plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon/evening!

Interesting temples

The tour was good and the temples interesting. They are far from Bangkok though and because of traffic we spent a lot of time in the van which was tiring.

Half day trip

This location is further out from Bangkok. This was part of a large group tour. The guide was good and informative. We decided it wasn't worth spending a half day to go to these temples. The lunch stop was terrible. Both of us didn't like the food and barley even ate it. If you go to these temples I would recommend not going on a tour that includes lunch.

Beautiful temples with an professional tour guide

Our tour guide (Paul) was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a good trip outside Bangkok to see temples and learn about their history.

great experience!

William was a great tour guide! we visit all the places that were mentioned in the tour and the lunch was in a delicious local restaurant. He made sure everyone knew the schedule for each place with the departures so everyone was back on the van on time to continue with the adventure. At the end of the tour he gave us lots of recommendations on how to move around, where to go next and tours that we would enjoy. Would highly recommend it 10/10!

Breathtaking 14th Century temples

Our guide Sam was amazing, really made this tour stand out. We had an amazing time visiting Ayutthaya.

Nice trip to the temples

Pickup was 10mins earlier than said and then brought us to a global collection point where we were joined with other minibusses. There were 22 people in our group, so wouldn't really call it small group =-) Our guide Paul was very funny and explained things very well, at each temple we had exactly enough free time to go around and take pictures. We were back in bangkok around 15h and they drop you at the main shopping mall.

Very well organized and structured trip.

Very well organized and structured trip. Visited four site in Ayutthaya with each being about 45 minutes divided 15 minutes guide introduction and 30 minutes free time which was a good balance. Long overlooking one of the temples was basic but pleasant with a couple of choices (I'm a picky eater but was fine). Guide was excellent. Group size I think was 16 with four no shows. One point, which I view as a positive is that the trip runs to time. Check in 7am to 7.20 and scheduled departure 7.30 ( we actually left 7.40). The point being don't be late.

Memorable experience

Great day exploring the Ayutthaya Temple ruins. There is so much history to uncover. Our tour guide Sam was a wealth of knowledge and made the experience really enjoyable. Like much at a local spot was delicious too.

Beautiful day in Ayutthaya

We are so glad we chose this tour, it was a beautiful experience and gave us the opportunity to learn more about Thai culture and visit some stunning places. Our guide, Paul, was great he taught us a lot about Thailand and the temples we visited. The pick up is very early in the morning around 7.30am and return to Bangkok around 2.30/3pm. This tour is a must to do if you are in Bangkok as it gives you the chance to see the beautiful Ayutthaya and its temples! Plenty of time to visit them and lunch included too!

Bad Communication

Sent numerous emails regarding drop off time and did not receive response till very late and communication was very short we never ended up going due to not being informed of the time as we would miss our flight if it was to late . Bad communication

A great time thanks to the guide!

It was a wonderful time our tour guide was very well organized and efficient, very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure everyone in our tour group was taken care of. It was the best part of my visit to Thailand.

Great tour with great guide uncle Sam!

Great way to discover Ayutthaya! Uncle Sam was incredibly nice and didn't flood us with information. He explained the essential and toured us around the temples. The van was very comfy and we had enough free time to explore the different sites by ourselves. I really liked this tour and I would recommend it for anyone who would like to do a day trip in Ayutthaya! Thanks Uncle Sam for everything!

Great trip with Super Boy!

Our tour guide, Super Boy, was amazing. He has a vast knowledge of the religion, history and culture that he shared with us. He took what would have been an otherwise very good excursion and made it a very memorable trip

Excellent Tour with Boeing.

This is a great tour. Our tour guide Boeing was very knowledgeable on all of the temples and sites we saw. Lunch was authentic Thai and very good. Transportation was very nice and had good AC.

Boy was our tour guide and he was fantastic! We cannot thank him enough for taking time to answer questions, giving a lot of history and information. This is a great tour and I would highly recommend it. It was easy to find the meeting point as well as very well organized.

A tour worth your time and money

An informative tour. We enjoyed the tour. It is at a good price point. Our tour guide, Sam, was great. He is knowledgeable of the subject matter, attentive of the participants, and kept the program schedule. We liked him as well Our tour was in Feb 2024. The weather was hot and humid. Be prepared for harsher weather in summer

Value for money

I have heard so much about the Ayutthaya from friends and wanted to experience it myself. Did a research on the mini tour (half day) from various sources and came across this tour by chance. It just fit perfectly to my itinerary. The staff from the Big Country Experience Co were very helpful and friendly and even suggested to us places for breakfast before the tour began. Our tour manager Super Boy advised us to board the coach by 7.30a.m and stressed that punctuality must be observed throughout the entire tour. Super Boy was not only knowledgeable about the history and facts about Ayutthaya but also shared with us many interesting stories about Thailand. Though he is a local Thai he speaks with impeccable English and we all understood him very well. Before we started to explore the sites, Super Boy always gave us a good understanding about the background stories and suggested the right spots for taking breathtaking pictures. I would strongly recommend anyone who is interested in the history of Thailand and also have limited time to spend in Bangkok to join this tour. It's cool and fun all the way!

Worth the visit!

Good comprehensive tour, make sure you book a morning tour as it gets very hot in the afternoon. Would recommend if you have extra time in Bangkok, I didn’t think it was a must though.

Knowledgeable guide

Super Boy our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very patient and always asking if everyone is OK. The only bummer with our group is there was family who did not follow the scheduled time to depart from one of our stops and were still shopping while the rest of the group were already in the bus ,Super Boy was too nice tell them that it was time to leave and the rest of the group were waiting in the bus.But overall I will recommend this tour.

Nice way to visit Ayutthaya

Worthwhile trip to see a variety of sites in Ayutthaya. Guides helpful and communicative of plans. Lunch tasty. Overall good value for price.

Excellent tour!

Our guide, Mindy, was stellar— she was super knowledgeable and also funny! 10/10 would recommend her as a guide. The temples themselves are spectacular and we learned a lot about this era in Thai history. The included local lunch (pick from 4 Thai entree choices, plus fruit) was also delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bangkok, as it was a great way to get out of the city, plus the tour company and our guide in particular did a great job. We booked through GoCity which was really convenient.

Amazing historical sights

An amazing day trip out of Bangkok. Was great getting out of the busy city and seeing the ancient city, very impressive and much less busy compared to the temples in Bangkok. Our guide was informative also

Recommend this tour. We had a small group of 16. Sam was our guide. He was excellent, has perfect English and kept us well informed throughout & as stops came up; we visited 4 sites. Lunch was simple but good; choice of chicken curry or vegetarian. Sam helpfully took pictures for everyone along the way. Drop off was at two locations. Sam helped me to find the Sky Train station to get back to my hotel in Sukhumvit & made sure I was on right platform. Thanks Sam.

Great tour of Ayutthaya

Suri met us on time at our hotel. He explained to our group of 10 where we were going and what we were going to see. He has a wealth of knowledge and a pleasing style of presentation that made it fun. He was careful to stop in the shade to talk. He pointed out his favorite places to take pictures, and he took group shots for us. Ayutthaya is an amazing place to visit. I had to get firm with the tour operator to get them to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel, but once they understood our needs, they were very accommodating.
