Great tour of Bangkok

My partner and I really enjoyed this tour of the royal palace and two of the most important temples in Bangkok. The tour guide was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, easygoing and friendly. Highly recommended!

Has to be seen.

Organised through our tour operator TUI we went on a small group tour which is definitely worth paying the extra for. Fantastic organisation with a great guide and taxi drop off and pick up always on time. Extremely hot so don't forget your hats and water (always available though) but the sights are simply stunning, unforgettable excursion.

Nok did a great job

Nok did a tremendous job of conveying the assorted backgrounds and histories of the temples., and their importance to the culture of Thailand.

The best way to hit all the must-see temples in Bangkok, and what a great way to start the day. Our guide was Sunny, who was incredibly enthusiastic and full of energy! Really great experience to culture yourself in Bangkok.

Amazing 🤩 and our guide ‘Oat’ was great 👍 a must see tour for anyone staying in Bangkok. The splendour and size of the Buddhas was breathtaking 👍

The Palace and two temples

We got to the Grand Palace before it opened, so despite a small initial crowd, it was not crowded to walk through. The grounds are lovely. We also visited the Reclining Buddha and the Golden Buddha, and a jewlery outlet. The guide spent most of the time reciting historic dates and names rather than giving more of an overview of the importance of the Palace and temples, and his English wasn't great. In hindsight, we could've taken taxi's or TukTuks to these locals and done them on our own.

Great day in Bangkok!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The destinations were spectacular. We really felt as if we gained an increased appreciation for the history and culture of this city and country.

Wonderful temples tour with Sophie.

The Golden Buddha, the Grand Palace and the temple compounds. Grand Palace was manically busy but we got round, even using a mobility scooter. Our guide Sophie and driver, Win were brilliant.

Naturally a must see but things to be aware of.

This is a magnificent place, full of all the expected gold and glitz. Things to be aware of though, you won't be allowed in with knees showing or shoulders and wrapping a scarf over your shoulders is still not acceptable and they'll nab you to buy a tea shirt, and change (area supplid) at a cost of THB 250! The audio guide costs THB 200 and they only allow an hour and a half which isn't long enough by the time you fight through the crowds etc. They need some deposit of either passport or credit card and if you're late back you will be charged a further THB 200. Some of the inner palace rooms were closed so the audio kind of tells you what you could have seen!!

Bangkok temples were amazing!

We had such a great tour! Oddi was our guide. She has 36 years of experience. Her knowledge of the history of the temples and palace were amazing. We felt so well taken care of. This is the absolutely best way to see the temples. You won’t regret booking it!

Great introduction to Thai culture and history.

Our guide was really great! She had so much knowledge not only of how to best view the monuments and temples but also of the interesting history and cultural traditions of Thailand as shown in the Art of the Palace grounds. We especially appreciated learning a bit about Buddhism-of which we were woefully ignorant. Thank you, Sophie, from the heart. Also thank you to our driver who was always ready with cold water and cool off towels.

Great tour with an incredibly knowledgeable and fun tour guide! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great way to see all the temples and grand palace. Our tour guide spoke great English and was fast in getting us into each place. She had great story telling ability, too!

Amazing tour, great guide

We have just completed our tour with Susie from Viator. A great tour, we didn’t realise that the Palace covered such a vast area. Susie was a great guide, very accommodating and with a lot of knowledge, nothing was too much trouble for her. Susie really made the tour special. The structures and colours were amazing and the mixture of architecture helped us understand the influences on Thailand which make it so unique.

Stunning

A really impressive place to see and visit and our guide was great. The buildings are amazing. However when we went it was overcrowded and impossible to really appreciate the splendour of the palace. The only way to combat this would be to limit daily visitors. But it is a beautiful place just go when quiet if possible. Be aware that men and women must have full leg and shoulders covered and no mid rifs showing. Ladies, wear something with sleeves as a wrap or scarf isn't acceptable.

Worth it!

Really happy we booked the tour. Our guide was Oddi. She was prepared to provide us knowledgeable information and history. She provided excellent service to us, especially with helping my mother who required wheelchair assistance and accessibility. She was great in providing us the best photo angles and spots which we appreciated. She was patient with us stopping to take a million photos. I respected her so much because at the certain locations where photos/videos aren’t aloud and a few distasteful people disregarded that rule, she quickly called them out and alert the temple staff. I don’t recall the drivers name but he was very efficient in picking up after each location, we didn’t have to wait long at all. I highly recommend booking this tour and with Oddi!!

Beautiful architecture and loved the colors everywhere! Our guide was very friendly and informative!

This tour was well worth doing .The guide and driver were both so kind . We were able to skip most Qs. We gut to see all the major points of interest in a short period of time. All our questions were answered, we even got to stop for a cool drink.

Grand Palace and Buddah Temples tour

The most memorable part of our experience is the overall experience. Right from our pick up to drop off, the guide and driver provided a professional VIP tour. They were very caring and respectful. We are senior citizens with sore knees and they took great care of our needs. Our local guide was very knowledgeable about each place we visited. Her English was excellent and she ensured we didn’t miss anything. She did a great job of taking pictures for and of us getting the best photos from the best vantage points. Thank you for such an awesome morning tour.

The Royal Palace is grand!

If you can only make it to one location in Bangkok, this is the one to see. The architecture and grandeur of a palace are a sight to see. The temple and all the details of the buildings are worth the visit.

Fantastic tour -

Fantastic Trip, well worth booking a private tour, our guide (Sophia) and her driver picked us up on time from the hotel and the whole experience was fantastic, Sophia helped with photos of us and kindly took time to explain the culture and history of the temples, palaces and gave us lots of interesting knowledge about the Thai people. 10/10 only wished we had had a full day with such a fantastic guide, they even dropped us off at Icon Siam as we had mentioned we were hoping to go there after we got back to the hotel ! thank you so much.

We had just enough time in the capital to fit in a half-day tour of the Royal Palace. Very distinctive Buddhist architecture, not rushed, enjoyed the serenity and calm of the eminent palatial environs.

Perfect temple experience.

Our tour guide was excellent. She was informative, helpful and organized which allowed us to just enjoy the beautiful temples. I highly recommend this tour. Having a small group allows for a perfect pace and experience.

10/10 amazing tour!!!

This tour was amazing! We’ve never been to Bangkok before and only have one day to sightsee. This tour took us to all the main sites and we learned a lot in the transport on the way! Our guide (Jenni, I think?) picked us up right at our hotel and took us on a private excursion around town. She was so enthusiastic and informative and kind. She made us feel like family. The whole thing was 10/10. Highly recommend!!!

An excellent and easy way to experience Bangkok's amazing landmarks

An excellent way to see Bangkok's beautiful landmarks in one morning! We were picked up from our hotel by our friendly and experienced guide, Alice, and spent our time leisurely marvelling at the Royal Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Traimit, learning about their history and significance to the Thai people. Highly recommend.

The transportation was ok...

The transportation was ok and on time, the itinerary was also fine, but the spanish of the guide was really poor. We could not understand most of his explanations.

We had limited time in Bangkok and wanted to spend one day seeing a few major sights. We were so glad we booked with this company! On time pickup right at our hotel. Our guide (so sorry a month and one broken leg later I’ve forgotten her name) was so knowledgeable and informative. She did everything at our pace, was endlessly patient and kind. This sights of course were moving, amazing, spiritual, and I don’t know if we would have felt that as much without our wonderful guide. Please book a tour, otherwise you will just be going to look at pretty things. Included in the cost was all entry fees and the driver provided iced facecloths and cold water after each stop. Highly recommend this tour. Also - do the morning option. Trust me.

Great tour to see temples!

Sunny was a great tour guide! She was very informative and met us at the correct time. She’s super vibrant so if you’re tired at 8am, she’ll keep you awake! Our driver was also great. He gave us cold towels and water bottles during our stops! It was nice seeing all of the major temples and the royal palace. Just remember that it is very hot and and crowded! Guards are also strict on dress code, so make sure you are dressed accordingly.

It was definitely the Royal Palace. The guide explained everything very well. The various temples was also very interesting.

Great tour

This was our first full day in Thailand and this was a great introduction. Our guide was friendly and informative and we didn't feel rushed. She was flexible and adjusted where we went to what we could handle, as the heat was more than we were used to. Our driver was always nearby, ready to pick us up with a smile and cold water. I highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful experience.

The beauty of the temples and the grounds combined with our guides extensive knowledge of the history of the temples, the meaning behind the many different Budda representations and her sense of humor, made for a very enjoyable and enlightening experience. We highly recommend the tour.

Awesome private tour for two with great guide

How wonderful to have a private tour with just the two of us to see these spectacular sites. Our tour guide and driver were fantastic, knowledgeable, very friendly, and fun!

A very good time

This was the perfect tour for my friends and I. Our guide was very pleasant. It was very hot so we were grateful of her pacing and the many breaks in the shade where she took time to answer our questions about the temples and history. Great tour

Was a great way to see The Royal Grand Palace & Temples. We did a private tour as there was 5 of us & this was great having our own car, driver & guide. We entered all attractions quickly & with out having to line up & our guide was very informative. The only thing I would comment on was it should be mentioned in the booking that there is a dress code required for the Royal Palace for both Male & Female, or maybe this was a way to get us to all purchase the obligatory Thailand Elephant pants :) Anyway we al had a fantastic morning & would highly recommend.

Cultural Experience

We were picked up on time in a nice clean car, everything was well organised and the driver was always there to pick us up from viewing each site. Visited the Palace, laying down budda and solid gold budda. Susi gave us a thorough description of everything we saw, she was very knowledgable & informative and took lots of photos for us.
