Worth the trip

Worth the trip from Bangkok (recommend the train). Knowledgable guide and beautiful city and temples. We got to try traditional palm frond folding and experience a local market. Highly recommend!

A great way to see the town

A well spent 3 hours seeing the highlights of Ayutthaya. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The bikes were in good condition and comfortable to ride. We travelled at a good pace, easily achievable by most people. Well worth doing

Amazing, informative, and fun!

I couldn’t imagine seeing this site any other way! The ability to ride bikes through the Serene pathways from temple to temple made this sight seeing extra fun, and even provided for a little exercise. The bikes were very good quality. Additionally, our tour guide Bella was the best tour guide we had on our 2 week trip to Thailand. Her English was perfect - way better than any other tour guides in Thailand (who can be hard to understand). She also was extremely informative of all of the historical facts behind the temples, right down to exact years. She even was willing to speak a lot about the current culture of Thailand and state of their society and government, which satisfied my curiosity. Could not recommend this enough!!

Biking with Bella!

Bella was great! She explained what we were seeing, responded to all our questions, and had a great sense of humor! Riding through the city was definitely the best way to see the sites!

Ayutthaya City bike tour

Our tour guide Bella was outstanding, and provided lots of useful information throughout the morning. The bikes were in good condition, and easy to ride. What a great way to experience Ayutthaya City!

DO NOT ATTEMPT A SOLO BOOKING. HE WILL NOT SHOW UP AND SAY ITS YOUR FAULT.

When I showed up, the tour operator, Andres Breuer, said that he canceled my tour days earlier and sent me a message. TripAdvisor did not deliver the message, and Andres didn't actually cancel the tour. He just didn't show up. I had to go cancel the tour and request refund myself. My tour was booked, paid, and confirmed. Andres disclaims responsibility for the confirmation that TripAdvisor sent me. He says that sending messages is all he can do. Added to the fact that he didn't actually cancel the tour like he said, makes me think that he simply doesn't care enough to fix it. I have seen other tours with cost differentials for single bookings, actual minimum bookings, and proper cancelations. Andres just doesn't care enough to do it. I very much wanted to see Ayutthaya, and I planned my visit around this tour. I cannot go on another day, and I can't go later in the afternoon. Andres' choice has wasted my visit to Ayutthaya. I wish I'd never come.

Went the extra mile to accommodate our booking

We booked the half-day tour as we had to travel from Bangkok (and back) and didn’t want to leave at the break of day. Happy to find this half-day tour available with 2 days notice, we booked directly through the website. In the evening, we were contacted by André, the owner, who was surprised to receive our booking as the tour was not even available on that day. He asked if we’d be interested in the full-day tour. We explained why we opted for the half-day, and that would be very much our preference. He said he was going to see into it the next day and let us know. Soon, the next day he messaged that our booking was confirmed. When we arrived at Ayutthaya, it turned our he had asked a tour guide, Tor, to come over from Bangkok a day early especially to accommodate our booking. Tor did a great job, and we ended up enjoying a private tour all over Ayutthaya Historical Park. Many thanks to André and Tor, greatly recommend their service.

Great and fun

We were very hapy with the our. It was very professional team, graet gear, and the travel guide was ecellent. We enjoyed the balance between sight seeing and biking. the guige was great and fun. we would reccomand this to all.

Great tour through historic Ayutthaya

We had a nice bicycle ride through many historic temples and some additional sights. The guide was very friendly and was able to answer all questions. She also took pictures from us and provided us delicious desert. The only minor downside was that we had less time at the beautiful temples in the end of the tour. Now knowing all the content, I would rather skip one stop (the fort) and take more time at the last temple. Thanks for a great experience!

Excellent morning tour in a beautiful world heritage site with a knowledgeable tour guide.

The was very enjoyable and is highly recommended. It was the perfect way to see many of the sights, but also to explore the city and see many different aspects of this world heritage site. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and his English was very good. Being a local he was able to share his love for his city with us. Although we went on a very hot and humid day, it was still most enjoyable.

We booked the tour and got Scott as our tour guide, he was very friendly and answered all our questions, not only about the tour but about general Thai culture and beliefs as well. He spoke English very well, was friendly, patient and made sure we were safe in the sometimes chaotic traffic of Ayutthaya. 10/10 would recommend, ask for Scott if you book this tour!

Seeing the local community and their lifestyle. Scott was an amazing guide with vast knowledge of the area and it's history. Plus it is a good workout with the bike! Highly recommended

Your operator cancelled last minute

I booked a half day trip with Ayuttaya Biking through their Baja Bikes partner website. When we arrived the tour company didn’t have our booking, no one was there and they cancelled the trip. We spent 90 minutes in heavy traffic to get to Ayuttaya only to be disappointed by the tour company. I will not use them again…

Best Way to See the City!

My friends and I had a great time riding through Ayutthaya with our guide. It was a wonderful way to see the city and learn more of Ayutthaya’s cultural and historical background.

Great tour to temples and secret (food) spots arround the city.

The weather was really not what we hoped to have for a bycicle tour... It was raining, just a little, but consistantly. But anyway, this couldn't stop us. We started with our guide K'Gott who did a great job. We were treated like friends and gelte very good taken care of. The tour was just perfect with 16km ride in 3h, and not too exhausting. We enjoyed the temples, the city atmosphere and also the delicious food. We can dedinitely recommend the team and the tour. Thank you guys.

Bike tour with K Gott

I highly recommend K Gott. We have done many tours around Thailand. His knowledge surpassed expectations and we enjoyed our morning bike tour taking in the history of the ancients ruins. We certainly advise anyone who wants to learn a little bit more to take this tour. The hikes were super comfy too

Trip was perfectly organised, we went to the beautiful spots and got some free local snacks during the trip! Everything was filmed while we were making the tour, the end result looks very nice.

Great trip through the city

This was so much fun. Better than walking around to everything. Not only did we get to see Ayutthaya ruins, but we were also brought around the old city and saw some culture and got to eat some of the food that is centered around Ayutthaya. Would definitely do again.

A fun afternoon in Ayutthaya

We took our friends on this biking tour to explore Ayutthaya and had lots of fun. You can explore the ancient parts of the city while doing some cycling. So you get around fast, always a breeze in your face and have your personal guide with you: perfect! Our guide gave as lots of information and guided us save through the traffic - thank you, Scott!

Great Afternoon Of Cycling And Touring

My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon tour of Ayutthaya. Mr Bee, our cycle tour guide, was knowledgeable and full of Thai cultural stories. I particularly enjoyed visiting the first temple on the tour, which I would recommend everyone to go inside and marvel at the paintings. Mr Bee also took a video of us on our tour which he edited and then shared with us three days later. Thank for this. I completely recommend this trip to others. The bicycles were of a very good standard and well-prepared.

One of my Highlights in Thailand

Thank you so much for this amazing tour! Our day in Ayutthaya with guide Gott couldn't have been better. After a three week roundtrip in Thailand and many more tours, I can definetly say that this was one of our highlights. After cycling through a classic residential area in Ayutthaya, we've visited a temple, ate some sweet local streetfood and then, went to see the most famous temples. The bike tour was surprisingly refreshing under these warm weather conditions due to the airflow while cycling. The guide was very sensitive about our safety while cycling and was very knowledgeable. On top, Gott did some shots with a GoPro-Cam which were sent to us afterwards. If i come back to Thailand, i will definitely book a tour again with Recreational Ayutthaya Biking.

Great way to see the sights

We had a great afternoon tour with Gott. Just the right pace to explore the city and Gott provided lots of really interesting information on the history and traditions behind the sights. The local roti were delicious as well. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend this as a day trip from Bangkok.

Biking in Ayutthaya

We greatly enjoyed our biking tour! Gott was a wonderful tour guide. He was focused on our comfort and safety, and provided detailed information about the sites in understandable English. Gott allowed sufficient time for viewing and questions while keeping us on time. It was a good way to see local neighborhoods, and the biking would be accessible to most participants as it was not overly strenuous.

My favorite place in Thailand

The city, alone, is breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely worth a visit. But hands down the best way to experience this city is with this tour. Our tour guide, Gott, was thoughtful, knowledgeable, personable, and made this experience one of the best in my 5-city tour of Thailand. His reverence for his religion paired with his earnest interest in helping us understand the history and importance of this city elevated the experience and made it truly unforgettable. Tip your tour guide well because they certainly don't charge enough.

Good tour of Ayutthaya but...

Khun Sprite brought us around Ayutthaya on a bike tour, and some of the cultural & religious spots were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the biking as it showed off really some local spots and livelihoods. The only small "down" would be the guide himself - he admitted that this was his first tour and should've been given more guidance - at some points, he lost the group and rode too far ahead.

Great biketour in and arround Ayutthaya

Outside a too expensive taxi ride from our hotel in Bangkok to Ayutthaya that was arranged by Bangkok Biking (3,300 Baht) we have only positive comments. Good quality bikes, very good guide who took us thru the beautifull old and new city with a lot lot of information. A tip may be to make the ferry trip on the river a bit longer.

Amazing ride in the past

I really enjoyed the "Ayutthaya City Cultural Bike Tour". The guide was extremely kind and made our adventure be unique and unforgettable, biking through the ancient cities, temples and local people. I recommend this to all of Ayutthaya travelers

easy, well organised informative tour.

A colleague and I took this tour with Sao. Just the two of us (being off-season). Getting to Ayutthaya was part of the adventure: take the local train from Hua Lamphong station in Bangkok to Ayutthaya: we took a 7am train (because the 640 was delayed) and got to Ayutthaya by 850 which gave us a few minutes to walk 400m up the road to the bike hire store. (the train - in 3rd class - is only B20 each way! there is 2nd class for B125, which offers air-conditioning. Expect to get a seat from Bangkok to Ayutthaya but when returning realise that all the trains to Bangkok are through-trains that have come from the north and are already full! So expect to stand for 90 minutes on the return. Even if you have ticket!). Be aware that it is signposted as "Ayutthaya Biking" not "Bangkok Recreational Biking". Ms Sao was helpful, capable and informative on the tour which took us about 3 hours. The terrain is all entirely flat so should be within everyone's capabilities. There are plenty of restored and unrestored royal temples and palaces (more unrestored than restored) and cycling between them is a whole lot better than walking. Sure, you could achieve the same thing by getting to Ayutthaya and hiring a bike for the day, but this would be to undervalue Sao's cheerful and informative commentary. This tour is reasonably price and includes the entry fees for the various sites. Does not include lunch but this is readily available from vendors near the station either before or after your tour. Happy to recommend this tour to all ages.

Beautiful ride through Ayutthaya

This cycle trip is a must do when visiting Ayutthaya. Amazing ride, we saw a lot, tried some food and had a lot of fun. We can definitely recommend. And back home we received a link to a YouTube video with a summary of our tour.

Fun ride through streets, alleys and ruins of Ayutthaya

Our family of four (including 2 teenage kids) had a grand time on this tour. Ms Sao, our guide, took care of everyone and made sure the bikes were of the appropriate height before setting off. The places she brought us to were interesting and she told us much about the history of the ancient city. She also answered our questions knowledgeably and readily. It was wonderful cycling through the alleys of the town and feeling up-close the rhythm of the places which we would not have gone on our own. On top of that, Sao made a nice video of our trip which serves as a good memento of the lovely tour. Thank you, Sao and RBB!

Nice overview of Ayutthaya in just three hours

The trip was planned very well - we were able to see the highlights of Ayutthaya in three hours. The length of the tour was just right, especially because it was so hot and sunny! Sao gave us good explanations of the temples and ruins in the area. Thank you!

Verry nice tour with very nice quide. Places you cant travel to, by car. Not exhausting. Good bikes. Our lady-guide knew very much about all the places and the background

More than enough Ayutthaya City Cultural Bike Tour

Leaving from BKK to Ayutthaya city , we took the train for like 40 bahts each (no advanced purchase, has to do it same day) , to make it we had to leave at 7AM which was good , at 600mts. from the train station we found Ayutthaya Biking , small place 2 bikes were waiting for us !! , our Guide : a small girl named Sao who gave us a great experience ridind the city also great content on her explenantions for each place ,no additional fees , and for sure I will strongly recomend them. No personal transport is requiered as is easy to move inside BKK just do it on time

Very nice tour

Beautiful tour on good new bicycles with a very nice and good guide luckily the tour at 9am was still available and we were able to participate It was very hot that day and we were offered plenty of water. Not the cheapest but definitely worth it. Oh yes, a flat tire was also quickly fixed

Great bike tour!

This great bike tour through Ayutthaya is highly recommended! The guide takes you past all the highlights of the dilapidated old capital and tells a lot about its interesting history. The bikes are comfortable. It's wonderful to get on a bike between the sights and not have to get into a van. It is recommended to take the early tour, because it gets very hot quickly. Because we were early we had many temples to ourselves. Drinks and a snack are well arranged. There is plenty of time for beautiful photos. Please note, you have to take a pound to get to the other side with your bicycle. We lifted our bicycle ourselves. If you cannot do this yourself, the guide will help you. In short: recommended!!

Een leuke manier om de site te ontdekken. Onze gids sprak zeer goed Engels en gaf ons veel info over Ayutthaya. Ze zorgde voor flesjes fris water bij 3 stops, wat welkom was op een warme namiddagtocht. De roti snack was een ontdekking.

Mega toller Ausflug. Wir haben viel gesehen, alles war perfekt organisiert und es war einfach ein wunderschöner Tag!

Leuke fietstocht

Hele leuke fietstocht door de stad gehad. We waren de enige op de tour dus daardoor privé gids. Mooiste tempels gezien, met de focus op de hoogtepunten. Gids sprak goed Engels en hield van een grapje tussendoor.

Una opción muy divertida para visitar las ruinas

El trayecto fue muy agradable recorriendo parte de la ciudad y visitando los principales templos. Nos enseñaron un templo que no corresponde al complejo y no está incluido dentro del itinerario. También nos explicaron la religión budista y sus pilares básicos para poder entender mejor la disposición de los edificios. La excursión solo mejoraría si estuviera incluida la visita al Wat Chaiwatthanaram y al Wat Ratchaburana. Nosotros los visitamos por nuestra cuenta después. Aunque hay que hacer ciertos cruces con tráfico, nos sentimos muy seguros pues ellos se encargaban de cerrar el paso a los coches y las motos para que pudiéramos pasar con seguridad. Como es habitual en este tipo de visitas, nos pararon en una tienda para intentar que compráramos cosas, pero una vez les dijimos que no queríamos nada no fueron insistentes ni cambió su trato hacia nosotros.

Aangename tour waarbij we gezien hebben want we moesten en wouden zien, en ook beschreven was. Vervelend was dat de gids iedere keer we stopten foto’s nam en ons filmde met zijn eigen toestel en we nog steeds niet weten wat de reden daarvan was.
