Discovering the hidden gems of Bangkok with a wonderful guide

One of the highlights of my stay in Bangkok. If there would be an 11 I would rate Araya as it! I recommend her to anyone who wants to discover hidden places of the famous touristic areas as well as going into very typical and local places. We loved the discovery of the flower market (with all its traditions) and little India. She offered us flowers and a welcomed refreshing pause in a nice cafe. She has a lot little attention to make this trip very special (like stopping by a/c areas, sharing a fan during this brutally hot day!) Not only she is a kind, attentive, super knowledgeable guide but she is also a beautiful woman !

A memorable experience with Saravarint

I had a fantastic time on my trip with Saravarint. Unfortunately, my travel companion fell ill, so I ended up touring alone. However, Saravarint's company made it feel like I was with a friend the whole time. She was knowledgeable, funny, and had a very understandable English. Throughout the day, she ensured I stayed hydrated and cool, despite the 32-degree weather. Since my companion couldn't join, Saravarint spent an extra hour with me, allowing me to participate in the monks' chanting at the temple—a truly authentic experience. Wonderful way to see Bangkok!

We had a wonderful afternoon on the tour with Sudarat. She showed us so many places in Bangkok and was made sure we got out of the heat at various times, which was great. Informative, customised, fun! 10/10

I booked for K. Nusara to provide a tour for my parents, who were in Bangkok for the first time and wanted to understand and appreciate the history and culture of the Grand Palace, Bangkok and Thailand more broadly. K. Nusara was responsive before the tour, making it simple to agree an itinerary and easy meeting point. She kept me in the loop of the day, periodically sharing photos so I knew my parents were in good hands. My parents loved it. They commented how K. Nusara’s easy going storytelling style helped to understand this new city and its history. They were impressed at how customised the tour could be a) to their interests (they had lots of questions on Bangkok) and also b) the pace (especially considering the blistering Bangkok heat) Her English is perfect and she brought to life the Grand Palace area. They were buzzing and actually visited other temples straight after to keep the momentum!

Flower Market and Wat Arun tour

We did a morning tour with Moddy, from the Flower Market to Wat Arun and Wang Lung Market. She was very natural and had so much interesting information on the flowers, the market vegetables, the temple architecture and history. I really appreciated that she went over our time to give us time to see everything. Highly recommended!!!

Family tour, off the tourist track

Polly was really great with my 2 girls 7&9 and we were truly able to be flexible with the day, as we all were getting hot and tired! I've been to Thailand many times before, but this time was with some newbies so it was great to still experience things which were more off the tourist trail and new to me too! Great Overview of Bangkok As a Modern City

We toured Bangkok with Tony on 8th February 2024 and had a great afternoon. He was extremely knowledgeable -- right down to finding us a wonderful place for dinner that met all our specs -- and so good at finding things that were off the beaten tourist path (as requested). We had only the one afternoon in Bangkok, and are very glad that we met Tony and had him show us his city. We saw residential areas, talked about the religious and political history of the country, learned about modern-day demographics of Thailand, and more. Tony was very patient with our many, many questions and our endless photography. He was also very flexible, including with our request to see some things outside the temple/palace attractions in the city. I would go out in Bangkok with Tony again in a heartbeat, and strongly recommend him to anyone for a personalized view of the city.

Do this tour!

This is a great way to see the old city. We went to major tourist sites and learned so much from Akarin. If you want to see the city in 3-4 hours this is the best way to!

Fabulous Morning in Bangkok

We had a fabulous morning with Tuangtip. This is the best tour and guide to see the highlights and feel unrushed. We saw several beautiful temples, enjoyed the flower market, tasted many new foods, took a boat and tuk tuk ride. Through the whole trip Tuangtip shared stories, encouraged us to try foods and practice some Thai phrases. She is so kind, well organized and interesting. We highly recommend!

Artty is amazing

I am not one to write reviews but I cannot say enough good things about Artty! He was very knowledgable and shared his stories in a fun and exciting way. We went through the flower market and told me stories about the market and the surrounding areas. We went to a Wat close by and then he took me to my favorite now Wat Prayurawongsawat. After we fed turtles and took a tuk tuk to another wat that he felt I would like more. He customized my experience! I had a wonderful time and he kept me laughing! I really recommend Artty!

The best way tp explore Bangkok

Our familie's tour with Moddy was the highlight of our stay in Bangkok. We loved learning from her local knowledge and had a wonderful few hours with her learning about local customs. We especially loved the visit to the temple, tuk tuk ride, and local 'hidden 'market.

Best Bangkok guide!

We had the pleasure of having Saravarint as our guide for our family on Christmas Day. We did a half day tour of local markets and learned a lot about the culture and food of Thailand. She was knowledgeable and flexible to our family of four's interests. We started with an exciting tuk tuk ride through Bangkok to a local market where we tasted many local foods from noodles to curry to a special water chestnut dessert. Frankly without her guidance, we would not have been as open to trying so many foods and specialties. Along the way, she shared insights into Thai culture which was helpful for all of us. We wanted to buy some Thai silk as gifts, and she was super helpful and willing to show us the silk shops for locals. Thank you, Saravarint, for making our Bangkok Christmas so special!

Best kids friendly city tour!

Our private tour with Polly was great! Our kids are 6, 12 and 13 years old.. and they all loved exploring Bangkok with Polly. In 4 hours we saw so much, did so many fun and meaningful activities.. but it luckily wasn’t an overload of typical tourist highlights. The tour felt personal, tailor made, perfect for us! Perfect tour guide

Artty was an absolutely legend, we couldn't have asked for more. He was fun, knowledgable and created an experience which was perfect for us and our children (ages 9, 14 & 17). His spoken English was excellent too. From the moment we met Artty, he was engaging, interesting and nothing was too much trouble. We booked the Hidden Gems Tour which was a perfect introduction to Bangkok. We learnt a huge amount from Artty; visiting and learning about temples, saw crocodiles, fed turtles, rode on tuk-tuks and explored the flower market. Artty was generous with his time, so much so that we were delighted to be able to arrange to see him again the following day for a trip on the Khlong. Huge thank you to Artty for making our time in Bangkok so memorable and so enjoyable for us and our children.

A magical morning

We spent the morning with polly today with us and our 5 and 8 year old kids. We all had an amazing time, with lots of special moments and so much for our kids to do we never got bored and learned so much Thankyou Polly!

Moddy is the best!

We visited Wat Pho a few days before booking our day with Moddy thinking we didn’t need a guide. Afterwards we thought it’d be a nice add on to a day at the Grand Palace. It was above and beyond what we expected. Moddy took great care to show us around this special place. We spent time with the Emerald Buddha learning about the story of the Buddha and the importance of these rituals. Then she took us on a very special tour of the grounds, showing us the murals and telling us inside scoops we would never have understood on our own as westerners. She tied everything she told us together in the Museum of the Emerald Buddha- every story and detail from the previous hours connected to the details in the museum. She took the extra step of making sure we had the best seats possible for the Kohn show at the end. Moddy’s energy was unbelievable and her insights made the day so special. An unforgettable day in an unforgettable place thanks to our wonderful guide. All this to say, if you’re not sure you need a guide…you do and it should be Moddy.

Great tour of the Grand Palace

We booked The ultimate Grand Palace Day Trip with Saravarint and we were very happy with the tour. Saravarint took us on a tour of the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, and Wat Phra Chetuphon. She was very knowledgeable and provided many insights that I had not learned on a prior tour of the palace (several years ago). The tour proceeded at a perfect pace and was the perfect amount of time. I would highly recommend Saravarint for this tour if you are visiting Bangkok.

Behind the Scenes of Bangkok with Artty!

My husband and I had a wonderful morning with Artty, exploring the 'real' Bangkok. Artty very kindly agreed to meet us at our hotel to start the tour. We then spent a fun and relaxed 4 hours exploring the flower market (absolutely fabulous), trying new fruit as we did so; the fish market; we took a local ferry trip, visited two temples - both gorgeous. We explored the back streets of Bangkok - it was so interesting. Artty then took us by tuk tuk to a local restaurant for lunch - we could not believe three meals (with drinks) which were wonderfully tasty, cost less than £5! We took the Sky Train back to our hotel. We would hugely recommend Artty if you want an engaging, charming, knowledgeable local to show you Bangkok. He is the BEST! Thanks Artty!

Bangkok Hidden Gem Tour

Everything about this tour went perfectly from booking until our final goodbye. Araya was happy to come and meet me at my hotel, as a solo female traveller, on her first trip to Thailand, this made me feel safe and comfortable. Araya showed me how to use the train system and long boats along the way. Her knowledge of Bangkok and Buddhism was amazing. She took the time to explain the significant parts of “The Temple of the Dawn.” It never felt rushed. Araya answered any questions I had about Thai life. She was very open and honest. Making sure I got the most out of the experience. I loved the hidden gem she chose. No, I won’t say what it was because I don’t wish to spoil it for you. Araya’s English language skills are excellent. You won’t be disappointed if you choose Araya as your guide.

Welcome to Thailand!

Artty felt more like an old friend than a tour guide! He's like the one guy in the friend group who finally gets to show you why he loves his home country so much. Learned a lot about the history and building blocks of what made Thailand what it is today, not just the history of the Grand Palace. He was very informative and you can tell he adores his job. Not only did he give us a great guided tour, but he also gave us some helpful hints that we'll take advantage of for the rest of the trip!

Perfect introduction to Bangkok

Tony was great, he showed us how is real life in the Chinatown area in BKK, the market, how locals live in that part of the city, key parts of the history of the city, and 2 temples. It was the perfect introduction to the city of BKK and he got our kids engage 100% of the time. Totally recommendable!!

Half day tour

Artty was a great guide for our family half day tour. He is of course polite and friendly but also has so much knowledge about all the places we visited. We had two boys (15 and 11) with us and he even managed to keep them interested despite the heat! Pointing out water monitors (huge!) and finding plants that popped in our hands like fire-crackers. We finished by having lunch in a fantastic, old thai restaurant that we would never have found without him before he saw us safely onto a ferry that would take us back to our hotel. He then sent us some recommendations for good places to eat/drink close to our hotel which we visited and were great! Book a tour with Artty and you be left feeling a little bit more like a local!

True Hidden Gems Tour!

We had originally signed up for another tour which was about 5 hours but my parents are over 70 and a full walking tour may be too much. So we opted for the 3+hour Highlights & Gems of BKK tour. Tuangtip was an amazing host - very communicative pre-tour to discuss what to do. She is extremely attentive to detail and on the day of, she reorganised bits of the tour to ensure my parents got the best of everything in the short time we had. AND my children were also sufficiently enthralled without getting bored :) Both my parents and children particularly enjoyed the market food tours - learning about the background and ingredients that went into each dish and also the boat-ride. They also had a delightful time at the Flower Market and visiting the Wat (temple). My daughters were particularly pleased that they got to see an unexpected side of the city with a local's help. Tuangtip also shared how to get around BKK and showed us where to go, how to book transport etc. Would totally get in touch with her for tours of Bangkok!

BKK is A-OK

Moddy was amazing! Not only did she share historical information about the city, but she also put it in context that was easily understandable. She was very welcoming, warm, and hella knowledgeable! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone else thinking of taking the city tour :)

Great day with Artty

Had an amazing time seeing the Grand Palace and Wat Po. Artty was lovely and very informative. I learnt so much, and got a lot more out of seeing the palace with him than if I’d gone alone. It was my last full day in Bangkok, and I’m so happy with how amazing it was.

Amazing tours in Bangkok

We had two tours in Bangkok with Tuangtip. The hidden gems tour and the highlights of Bangkok on longtail boat. The two tours overlap a bit, but Tuangtip customized the tours for us. We saw an authentic side of Bangkok that we wouldn’t have discovered by ourselves! We were introduced to Thai snacks on a food market, saw temples and local living on the boat tour. The combination of a walking tour and a boat tour was great! Tuangtip is an awesome guide, with humor and a great knowledge of Bangkok! Our group is aged from 17 years to 55 - and we all loved the tours! The memories of the tours will stay with us for a long time - and Tuangtip has our best recommendations - when we come back, we will be sure to book another tour with her!!

An amazing guide

What an adventure it was. We booked 2 excursions with Moddi to taste the real Thai food and to see the cultural heritage of Bangkok. ( The ten tastings of Bangkok:Streetfood and Highlights and hidden gems ). Moddi made mixed the programs together. The way Moddi tells about her culture and food is really inspiring. We had a wonderful day and Moddi's knowledge of Bangkok and Thailand was amazing. Her enthousiasme and energy brings both tours to a new level. Thank you again for an amazing day Moddi.

Absolutely the best!

My husband and I are so happy we did this tour but specially with Tony as our guide! He was very detailed, knowledgeable and to top it off, he is an absolute amazing photographer so he captured amazing pictures! Bangkok Grand Palace with Arty

Our family of four (17 YO girl and 14 YO boy) did a tour of the Grand Palace in Bangkok with Arty, and he was outstanding. He is a Bangkok native and is very knowledgeable about the city and its history. We showed-up early at the meeting place and he was already there. It was very hot (like every day in June), but he was able to navigate around the larger crowds and keep us in the shade as much as possible. He is very likable, speaks English fluently, and was even able to keep our teenage son engaged in the tour. We wanted to take the public riverboat back to our hotel, so he helped us figure out the boat transit system and he waited to make sure we got on the right boat (it seems that getting on the wrong boat could be a disaster). After the tour he sent us very helpful restaurant recommendations and other information about the city. We very highly recommend Arty.

A great experience

I booked this tour with Polly, for myself, my wife, and our three children. It was our first full day in Bangkok, and we wanted to get our bearings, and also try and let our children have a fun learning experience. It was a great experience walking around the markets and temples. Polly made it even better with the information she provided. She was really good with our children, even towards the end when they were getting tired. I would recommend this tour with Polly. She was great :)

Fabulous tour of Bankok with Sudarat!

We had a wonderful tour of Bangkok with Sudarat. She is very friendly and personable. Her knowledge of the city and the sights is very extensive, and she happily shared stories and insights into local customs and sights. We rode a ferry, a tuk tuk, toured temples, received blessing from a Buddhist monk, spent time in the enormous flower market and were treated to a ferry ride and a coffee/tea break at a lovely tea house. Highly recommend engaging Sudarat as a tour guide in Bangkok!

Arty was so accommodating. He took us to places we wanted to go, and showed us the true local side of Bangkok. He was kind and respectful. He told us many stories of the history of the area as well as shared personal experience. He was the best!

Wonderful experience

Sudarat was wonderful to work with from the first online contact all the way through the tour. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It was just me so we adapted to fit what I was interested in. She was very responsive online which made planning so much easier.
