Excellent tour of the markets

This tour was excellent and a nice change of pace from Bangkok! The railway market was especially interesting to visit. Tip was an awesome tour guide along with a great driver. Highly recommend!

Great guide LIN

Lin was our guide with our Group of 9 people. and She was perfect! She know the best spot for pictures Lovely girl with a lot of knowledge. Very intéresting and she take time to explain and wait for us. She very professional. I recommand her for everyone.

Railway Market and Floating Market private tour review

My wife and I went on the Railway Market and Floating Market private tour with our guide Nok Jason and our driver Big Boy. Things started off great, with the guys being very patient with our slightly delayed arrival due to a late flight arrival. We made to very comfortable ride to the salt farm, where we hopped on the train that took us to the railway market. We got to experience the railway market from both on board the train and from in the market with train passing just inches from your head (you can stand back further if you want). We then went to a coconut farm the see how coconuts are harvested and used. Finally we went to the floating market and experienced the excitement and chaos of that shopping venue. Throughout the journey Jason was wonderful. He is very personable and outgoing. He provided lots of information about the sites we visited, as well about Thailand in general. He took lots of pictures of us and sent them to us, which is fantastic...not something I have encountered before. Thanks Nok Jason and Big Boy for a great day! Highly Recommended!

Unique and special experience!

Me and my family had a great day on this trip. It's a must do when you're in Bangkok or nearby. I have done a trip like this a few years before but wanted my family to experience it, and I assumed it would be the same but actually it was way more unique and less touristy in parts, and better value for money. We got to ride on the actual train going through the railway market, as well as experience it going past us too. It's such a great trip. Our host was very friendly and informative and we had a great time!

Best tour experience because of the tour guide

My favourite part about the trip aside from the experience itself was our tour guide MK (samphorn). She was very accommodating to everyone’s needs. She was excellent at explaining everything and if we got confused she explained very nicely until we understood. When the tour was over she went out of her way to make sure we don’t spend a lot on cab she called our hotel and asked for the nearest train station and went out of her to way to drop us off. Despite of english not being her first language she did her best to explain everything. My favourite thing she said throughout the trip was “save yourself” lol. Would highly recommend this tour as an integral part of someone’s thailand trip and see it with MK.

Great experience, worth the early wake up.

The tour is as described, we began by arriving to the train station where we would take the train to the market, next to it there was a salt farm which was a nice sight. After arriving to the market, we had time to check it and see the train leave, great because you have both perspectives of the market, arriving by train and seeing it leave. Then the floating market was really nice, and finnaly a quick stop in a coconut sugar shop/factory. Overall very nice and interesting. The guide was helpful, kind and gave us some tips in terms of where to aim in terms of haggling. Would strongly recommend, it's worth waking up early.

Our guide was proactive in explaining and kept the timings flexible so that we could cut down time at the sugar farm and spend more time at the floating market. Would definitely recommend this tour compared to the other group tours (which typically dont include the train ride)

A great day out, especially the private tour option

What a fun day out. So glad we booked the private tour, as Chaiya and our driver were able to ‘pivot’ and adapt timings to suit us. They even included a quick stop at a beautiful temple complex nearby where we needed to board the train for the short trip to the market. We’ve visited Bangkok many times over 20 years, but had not been to the floating market for some years, and had never visited the railway market (which was very much on our ‘bucket list’). So glad we did. And going on a tour which started with the train ride INTO the market is brilliant. The station where we boarded, and the trip itself, are very interesting. We had prime position, much better views than the crowds of tourists who were waiting at the market itself. Chaiya was full of great information, and was happy to share it all with us. The van was super comfortable and our driver very accommodating. At no point did we feel pressured (as one is occasionally on tours) to spend up big at any particular locations. The tour moved at OUR pace, which was exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend the tour itself and the company which organised it. And if you get Chaiya as your guide, lucky you!

Our guide Lin is excellent! Knowledgeable, friendly and taking great care of us (eg photo-taking, safety n even toilet breaks)! Even the driver is helpful n friendly! Highly recommended! :)

Very good tour with train ride included, coconut farm and floating market. Our guide Lin took excellent care of us and explained about history and places we visited.

The entire tour experience was great. Lin was a great guide, very funny and helpful. We book through WhatsApp at last minute and the team replied very quickly. We went to the floating market and railway market. The highlight of our experience was the train ride that made the trip even nicer.

My girlfriend and I had the best time exploring the markets with our guide, Luck! Most tours only do the railway market and floating market - adding the coconut farm into the tour made the experience that much better!

A must-do in Bangkok! Loved every minute of it.

Had a wonderful day, thanks to Chaya and the driver. We spent good amount of time immersing in the countryside out of Bangkok. The railway market is unique to Thailand. The vendors movements when the train arrived and left were so synchronised, it is almost an art form. The coconut farm was eye-opening with demonstration of how coconut sugar is made, from nectar collection from the coconut flowers, boiling/reduction to packaging. The old Thai House was an interesting sight too. The floating market is buzzing with activities. Although the main part is touristy, the outer part was a tranquil oasis on the boat, with a good insight of how people live on/along the canals and how the houses were modified to fit the purpose. Chaya and the driver took care of us throughout the trip, we couldn't thank him and the company enough to organise this itinerary for us. Chaya knows the photo spots well too, including when and where for the railway market action's where timing is essential (8 times a day for the precious 1-2 minutes period of action. Definitely recommend this trip!

Great value for money

It was our pleasure to be shown around today by Lin! She was a fantastic guide, very attentive, with lots of knowledge about the history of each area. The highlight was the train market it was like nothing else we have experienced in Bangkok! The tour was organised perfectly, there was no waiting around whenever we had finished our activity, the car was waiting for us.

Great tour for floating and railroad market

Great tour to the salt paddy, railroad market, floating market, and learned about coconut sugar on the way! Lin was very helpful and informative, friendly, willing to take photos of us. She also helped us bargain with the merchants for better deals. She knew the best coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice to get at the floating market. Would recommend for hitting some highlights

Great tour from start to finish

Great tour! Coconut and salt farm was very educational and Lin explained it very well👍🏻 We took the train into the train market and walked through the market which was very cool. The tour was very smooth all thought out👍🏻

Great tour for train and floating market

Great experience! Our guide Lin was very nice, she speaks good English and she explains to us a lot about Thai traditions. We had the chance to ride the train to the train market, we went to coconut farm to taste their products and then ride the boat at the floating market. I highly recommend!

It’s was fun, bus not very comfortable. Luck is a good tour guide. Private tour may be better if you want to spend more than just a small amount of time at each destination.

La mejor visita a los mercados de Bangkok

Si vienes a Bangkok debes visitar el mercado flotante y el mercado del tren, es obligado! Y con esta actividad no hay mejor opción para ello. Comenzamos el día visitando un templo de un monje en un pueblo cercano a la ciudad para luego ir a una salina Tailandesa y despues llegar en tren al mercado del tren Después, pudimos ver el tren pasando desde las mismas vías y nuestra guía Linn, nos enseñó los mejores lugares para disfrutar del mercado! Es decir, vimos el mercado desde el tren y desde las vías, todo un lujo Luego fuimos a una granja de cocos y pudimos conocer cómo se hacen todos estos productos en Tailandia Por último visitamos el mercado flotante desde nuestro barco, navegando por las diferentes tiendas y además por las casas tradicionales del pueblo, algo que el resto de barcos no podía hacer. Además nuestra guía Linn, nos enseña muchas cosas sobre Tailandia y las costumbres Totalmente recomendado esta actividad si quieres conocer los mercados.

Excelente visita a los mejores mercados de Bangkok

Fantástica excursión obligada en Tailandia, nuestra guía Linn nos mostró los lugares más bonitos de cada mercado. En el mercado del tren, pudimos observar los puestos del mercado desde el tren y desde las propias vías; además pudimos tomar fotos y vídeos desde los mejores sitios de este mercado. Visitamos una granja de cocos, una salina tailandesa, un templo de un monje sagrado e hicimos un recorrido por los canales más tradicionales del mercado flotante. Durante toda la actividad, Linn nos enseñó cosas sobre la cultura tailandesa y fue muy amable con nosotros. A destacar, que en el mercado flotante visitamos canales donde otros barcos no llegaban, y de ese modo pudimos conocer casas o costumbres tailandesas que otros barcos no visitaban. En definitiva, es una excursión totalmente recomendable si quieres visitar la parte de campo de Bangkok a la vez que disfrutas de los mercados más famosos
