My friend and I had the best time on this tour. Ant was amazing and gave us a delicious and unforgettable experience of Chinatown! It was one of our favorite nights of the trip. This is a MUST DO in Bangkok…especially if Ant is your guide!

Amazing

Nana was absolutely amazing! She's very entertaining and told us interesting stories all the way. She also made sure that everyone got the food they can eat, and also gave other tips, and answered our questions. We ve been to a nice coffee shop, and tried buns, gyoza, ice-cream from the oyster soyce etc and some of them were Michelin. Would defo recommend the tour, but pls don't eat before much, as there is a lot of food to try!!!!!

A tour around the Chinatown area of Bangkok with quite a few stops for food, drinks and views. Apple was a lovely and friendly guide. A side of Bangkok that we could never have found on our own.

Hidden gems in the bustle of Bangkok

Pam was an enthusiastic and fun guide. We viewed a bunch of tourist sites but it also felt like being taken to some hidden gems that only a knowledgeable local would know about.

Amazing food/sightseeing!

“Apple” our guide was amazing! She’s very knowledgeable and super friendly/helpful. Loved all the food options we tried and the view of the city at night was beautiful!! Would love to come back and explore more of the city. 💗 Definitely recommend this tour if this is your first time in Bangkok.

Amazing Chinatown experience - culture and food

Apple was absolutely wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and I learnt a lot about the Chinese people in Thailand from the past to the present. She was also very attentive to cater for my food restrictions which was highly appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed savouring street food from a variety of stalls and I highly recommend this experience to everyone !

Stay in the moment of adventure.

I learned so much about Thai- Chinese history, and experienced all kind of Chinese food on the way. Apple was very knowledgeable and I appreciate her way of relating very much to other cultures. The best food experience where the Chinese coffee shop, the chives and pork dumplings. It was worth trying for the icecream made from soy sauce and the pork in rolled noodle soup. The drinks at the rooftop bar were very much appreciated as they provided a fabulous view over Bangkok at night, from the Old city to the business quarters if the city. Huge thank you for a wonderful tour.

Good for history but not vegetarian food

Decent tour and guide was knowledgeable on the temple and area. She was great at explaining a lot of the Chinese and Thailand history. The only drawback was we are vegetarian and while I confirmed if the tour was suitable for vegetarians, i did not expect to eat 5 deserts! I wish they did a variety- the coffee shop was great with good toast and great coffee.

Amazing tour and tour guide

Apple was an amazing tour guide. She really made us feel comfortable, answered every question we had, exposed us to more culture than we would’ve ever experienced on our own. She was so sweet and overall, amazing company. We felt safe everywhere we went, especially when trying street food. She was able to accommodate our allergies when showing us around. Highly would recommend!

Amazing experience with Sasha

Wuttsup y’all, we booked a Chinatown food tour through our travel agent. We weren’t sure what to expect (honestly wasn’t expecting much). We had bad instructions, and showed up 30 min late to the tour. We were fortunate the tour guide (Sasha) waited for us. She called the tour agency, got my number, and found us =) The tour started at the Chinatown rail station and worked its way through Chinatown. We stopped along food stalls that were more for “locals” which was my favorite part. We walked through the vendor only streets, samples a bunch of great food, and received a history lesson at the same time. The tour ended at a cool rooftop bar, and Sasha hung out with us the whole time. Overall great experience, exceeded our expectations and we’d recommend it to anyone (you get a BARGAIN for what you pay).

A totally different side of Bangkok

Many big cities around the world have a Chinatown, but Bangkok’s Chinatown can be an overwhelming experience. This tour helps you to really understand the neighborhood and its history. My guide “A” showed me places I never would have explored on my own and provided plenty of background information on what I was seeing. As I was the only one on the tour that day, he even took pictures of me whenever I needed. The food was excellent and the view at the rooftop bar was amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re visiting Bangkok, and if “A” is your guide you’ll be in good hands.

An Immersive Experience Diving Through Chinatown

Bangkok's Chinatown is a can't miss destination while visiting the city, and while solo explorable, so many things would go unseen. That's where this tour and the wonderful guide 'A' steps in. This tour took us through alleys, into the backstreets to explore temples, neighborhoods, and of course fantastic food. I cannot recommend this tour enough as it was a high point of my trip to Bangkok

Nai was absolutely amazing, energetic and tailored the tour and the types of foods to me. He’s full of knowledge of his city and definitely made the tour so much fun. 10/10!

A great way to dive in to Bangkok good and culture!!

We booked this trip for our second day in Bangkok to get a feel for the city and to understand a bit about the local custom. We thought it was just a food tour but we were blown away with how much we learnt and got to experience. Our tour guide, Nai, went above and beyond to make this tour a special one. He met us on time, took the time to get to know us and tailor the tour to what we wanted to experience. Nai took us to Chinatown and gave us a fantastic run down of the history, culture and how Yarowat came to be. This provided a wonderful foundation before we got to the food. When we got to eating we were indulged with many different Thai foods from some of the best street vendors and restaurants around (including a Michelin star restaurant!!). Once we were full to the brim, Nai took us to one of the many flower markets to cap off the night. It was so beautiful and a great way to walk off all the food. Nai was also super helpful in recommending a bar to go to post tour and other activities for our time. This is a fantastic tour and I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to see Bangkok like the locals, experience new foods and learn about the rich culture of this area. Thanks, Nai and Intrepid for welcoming us so graciously and making this one to remember.

Best food

I really like the tour. Nai showing me so much... how Chinatown have started back then. The food is fantastic, there are some aswsome foods to try and tast along Chinatown. I would recommend start this tour with an empty stomach!.

This tour was amazing- Nai was so informative and took us to so many different places. He made sure we tried many new things and saw a lot of the city! We highly recommend it and especially to take with Nai!

Enthusiastic guide with reasonable...

<p>Enthusiastic guide with reasonable English and GSOH. Chinatown was very crowded because of the Chinese New Year, but he guided us through the crowds and made sure we all kept up. The boat trip gave us a chance to view Bangkok from the river, which provided new views and a little fresh air. The food was eaten where there were no other Westerners eating, so we got the local version, restaurant version and street food version.</p> <p>We all went away feeling we had eaten enough for a week, but of course the following day I was dining again. This is Bangkok!</p>

<p>we meet are guide for this trip in a hotel after walking there from are hotel, she was a very good guide. we went by water taxi to the area for chinatown where we visited the golden buddha where we had about half hour to look around then it was off to chinatown down some of the back streets where we saw gifts that where made for family to put with the dead also spice for cooking and general goods, after this we headed to the large flower market have not seen so many flower by type in one place after this we headed back to chinatown for the meal this was different to the usual chinese meal in the uk.she got us a taxi back to are hotel after this. a very enjoyable evening and walk.</p>

<p>It's a good tour to get around to areas that aren't necessarily touristy places. Having a local guide to show you the way was great - and she introduced me to new street foods I was unaware of. Alot of walking [not recommended for elderly or people that can't walk / stand for about 5 hours]</p>

Started late.<br/> 2.The meeting point was neither close to the tour area nor to our hotels ( for the both participants of the tour) and we ended up crossing the traffic of China Town a few times because of that reason.The tour itself was a little boring. We were walking through similar crowded streets in Chinatown. The problem that its hard to find general overview tour in Bangkok city. <p>Pros:<br/> The tour was with local nice lady who wanted to tell us a lot about her city. We received valuable new information about Bangkok and its population.

Again the English language barrier was a bit of a problem. </p> <p>This too was a very interesting tour, and when the rain hit in a big way, our guide raced off to the local 7/11 to buy my wife and I plastic raincoats. She refused to let us pay her for them. </p> <p>Again, a temple or two, one being very impressive with its massive grounds. We walked through some historic market areas, and at nightfall through the flower market. It is just massive, makes the Amsterdam flower market look like a miniature. It is in the form mainly of a street market but goes for many blocks. </p> <p>We then finished up having a Chinese dinner with our guide. Along with the tuk tuk tour it gave us a very good view of older Bangkok and was well worthwhile.</p>

<p>Trek to meeting point was a nightmare as taxi driver had no clue. On arrival the heavens opened and by the time I got out of the taxi I was ankle deep in water. However Our guide Dong was simply amazing, once the rain calmed down we stasrted our tour. Loved the street food and local resturant. China town and flower market were buzzing. In my opinion this tour is more suited to the young and very keen walker. The Temple was excellent, but China town market was repetitive and you walk through so quick you do not actually get time to look at individual stalls if you are interested in buying anything. We actually stopped the tour after China town and caught a taxi back to the hotel. Tour guide Nop was very informative and friendly.

A small group, total four of us including me, my friend, tourist guide & one guest. But it turns out to be a very cozy and friendly gathering and we spent the time together - eating, shopping, etc. etc. It looks like we know each other for long and go to the vacation trip together.

Where do I start? We had to travel to the main railway station to be pick up by our guide, who I must say was a great young fellow. But unfortunately for him, he has a pitiful tour. No fault of his though. Two and a half hours later, we started the tour at Chinatown, 300 meters from our motel. We then walked to a temple, which was shut for renovations. Forty-five minutes wasted out of the 6.5 hr tour. I think about 1 hr was good and that was the flower market our guide took us to after tea. I think he felt bad about how the day went, through no fault of his. I would think long and hard before booking another insipid tour in Bangkok.

I think the night market in Bangkok is really the best. It is a place where food and entertainment coexist. It was nice to be able to enjoy it for a relatively cheap price.

Interessante Führund durch Chinatown

Mein Nachmittag und Vorabend mit meinem Guid, Fr. Pam, war sehr interessant und informativ,sie sprach auch ein sehr klares Englisch, wichtig für mich da ich nur ein Schulenglisch spreche. Dank ihrem umfangreichen Wissen bekam ich einen guten Einblick in das Leben in Chinatown, den ich so nie bekommen hätte. Danke liebe Pam. Ein empfehlenswerter, geführter Nachmittag.

<p>Es war sehr interessant und wir konnten viele unvergessliche Eindrücke mitnehmen. Die Führerin war sehr nett aber leider war ihr Englisch nur sehr schwer zu verstehen. Diesist ein unbedingtes MUSS, und man sollte auf die sprachliche Qualifikation unbedingt achten. Dadurch mussten wir bei Erklärungen sehr oft nachfragen bzw. stellten erst gar keine Fragen, obwohl uns manches noch mehr interessiert hatte. Ferner stellten wir vor Ort fest, dass die beiden Touren, die wir gebucht hatten, von verschiedenen Firmen durchgeführt wurden. Auch dies war nicht besonders angenehm, da wir bei der ersten Tour eine wundervollen Guide hatten, mit welchem wir den zweiten Tag auch gerne zusammen verbracht hätten.</p>
