The guide was so lovely and knowledgeable of the area. Very flexible and great communication on the day. Could have better instructions regarding swimming and bringing swimwear for the waterfalls but other than that such a great day!

Great Day Out of the Bustle of Bangkok

I had a really good day out in this trip. As with most tours, time can be a little rushed at some of the stops and this was no exception. However our guide, Noi, was really great and a credit to this tour. He was patient, interesting and super knowledgeable on all that we saw across the day. I met some lovely people on the tour also, so I couldn’t have asked for much more.

Excellent trip with Shirley. Highly Recommend. Fantastic way to finish off my tour. Although the waterfalls weren’t as impressive as they can be, due to me visiting during the dry season, the national park is absolutely beautiful

History lesson and stunning waterfalls with a lovely guide

This was our second guided tour whilst staying in Bangkok for 4 nights and it was another very positive experience. Pick up from the National Stadium was smooth and after a stop for coffee and toilet in a gas station on the way we then arrived at the JEATH Museum. Our guide San provided us with plenty of historical info and also enabled us to pay our respects to the fallen POW soldiers in the local cemetery. We then visited the Bridge over the River Kwai (just the right amount of time) and on to the waterfalls at Erawan National Park. This in our opinion was just fantastic. The place is just stunningly beautiful and well worth a visit. 2 out of the 4 of our family made it to the top (all 7 waterfalls) and then cooled off in the waters. Watch out for the nibbling fish 😜. After 2 and a half hours we grabbed some noodles at one of the restaurants at the car park (cheap and tasty) and then back to Bangkok. A brilliant trip - Thanks San & driver 🙏

waterfalls are cool

Waterfalls are incredible. Very nice experience to swim in the water with fishes nibbling your feet.

Good experience

Mu (our guide) was helpful and explain things clearly about the plan for the day. She explain what to do and when to return and try her best to help and makes your day. The bus is simple but neat. There is some stop to go to the toilet. We did 40 min at the museum, 20 min at the bridge, 3h30 appr at the erawan waterfall. Guess 20/30 min would be efficient enough for the museum. We would have loved to stay a bit longer at the bridge, but we managed to go to the other end to take our photos and came back. The bus driver offered a bottle of water to drink in the bus. You can eat at the waterfall (at 12h15 or so)before the walk. We took the walk before that. Almost 1h to arrive to the 4th level so we came back to have the time to eat. A bit short if you want to see all the waterfall (we're not into sport enough I guess lol) or swim a bit. At the entrance you can win 20 min of walk by taking a golf transport (30 baht /adult). Then you have to walk a lot, the more you go up the more its steep. If you want to swim you have to take a lifejacket (something like 30baht/2h then add 10baht per h). After level 2 if you have a bottle of water you can take it with you up. You have to register and let a caution of 20 baht that they'll give you back if you show the bottle. We leave at 15h25 and arrive at 19h. The day was intense and short at the same time but we liked it because we could do more than one thing. If you want to take your time in a place it's better to just do that place. The rest of the time was on the road, that's normal all the activities are far from bangkok.

Beautiful scenery!!

A very nice trip overall! We're so glad we got to see Erawan especially since we were staying in Bangkok. We would have liked more time at the National Park, rather than at the Museum/railway, the museum was very, very dated and small, quite run down, but important to see. Lunch was expensive and not that tasty, we would have preferred to browse the various lunch options at Erawan. The national park itself was stunning, gorgeous waterfalls and we loved swimming at different levels. You need to pay 20baht to rent a lifejacket if you want to swim. I'd recommend hiking the waterfall first to see where you want to swim, rather than carrying the lifejacket, then hire one and go straight to the level you want to swim at. We wished our guide gave us more information about the trip and was more engaging with the group, it was more of a charter bus than a tour. But great experience and thank you for a wonderful time! 🥰

Erawan National Park and Bridge over River Kwai Small Group Tour

We loved the small group tour! Our tour Guide Ohm was funny and used some of the travel time to share history and facts about each destination so we had more time to explore on our own when we arrived. Ending the day at the falls was perfect! They were beautiful and worth the hike to the top. If you want to have time for a swim, we recommend you go straight to the top and stop at your favourite section for a swim on the way down.

Nice!

We had a very nice time with Nina and she gave us corn after we swam at the waterfalls :) the bridge over the river Kwai was very interesting and the boat ride was worth the 200 baht.

Out of body experience

Very pretty and nice, the place is very interesting hike was quite tough and food was great too, pictures of the fallen soldiers were a grim reminder of our pasta and what we need to prevent

Shame company, do the tour with someone else

Be careful with this tour and this company, they change the meeting point in the last moment. We were not able to make this tour because of my tour operator changed the meeting point. The worst is that I was waiting for them in the original meeting point, we waited for half hour, when the time when they should arrive came I contacted them asking what is happening. I spoke with my tour operator and she said about the changing and I ask them the favour to hold the van for us 10 min that is what it would take us to arrive by taxi to the new meeting point. She did not want. I even asked to reschedule for another day with no any answer. They said we did not show up, they said they tried to contact us with no any response, what was not true. They never called us and even today they still say in the app and the web the wrong meeting point, the place where we were waiting for them. When I asked for refund, this such a shame company refuse all the time to pay what for them is no more than small change in compare with the money they do every day. You know customer always has the right.

Friendly guide and a very very good driver of the minibus. Paying attention to everything in traffic. So it was also a save trip

Waterfalls and bridge tours are great

Very good tour at a fair price. Beautiful waterfalls (wish we had more time there - about 2 1/2 hours) and the bridge was thought provoking. Comfortable, but long van ride - - about 8 hours. I would do it again!

Erawan and River Kwai Tour

Overall would definitely recommend this experience. Our guide Om was great. Although his English wasn't perfect, he definitely knew enough to get all of his points across as well as facts throughout the trip. He took some getting used to, but he really grew on us by the end of the day and we were glad to have him as a guide. Pickup was timely from the meeting point which is right on a BTS stop so its easily accessible. The drives to and from the park were long however Om let us know that there would be a rest stop for bathroom, snacks, etc. I think all of the times we slotted for each stop were perfect. We had enough time to briefly walk through the museum which was fairly small so not much was needed: and more than enough time to walk across the bridge and back. Lunch was nothing extravegant but overall was good (this is not included and will run you anywhere from 60-150 THB) There was no rushing to get to the next place, or waiting for everyone else so we could leave and we slotted most of the time for the falls. As for the falls, we went in January which is the dry season as well as on a Saturday so there was a decent amount of people there. However the falls turned out to be a little lackluster. There's enough water to have nice scenery and to be able to swim at the different stages however not as much as in some of the pictures that we had seen. This is at no fault of anyone but something to keep in mind. The walk up to the 7th stage is not incredibly difficult and takes anywhere from 40 minutes to maybe an hour with little stops but can definitely take longer if you plan to stop and swim along the way. We were dropped back off at the meeting point around 7:30 PM making the overall trip about 12 hours or so.

Long but Amazing Adventure

Beautiful waterfalls. The dinner near the River Kwai in Thai Restaurant was fantastic. The JEATH museum was moving experience. Good guide.

Worth it for the experience

Our guide, Benny, barely spoke english, gave us no details about the museum or bridge. He also got lost when we were looking for our van in the parking lot. We lost a lot of time with lunch, didn't get served in time, so had just a short time for the waterfall

The ad is a bit mis-leading,my whole intent of joining this tour is the hotel pick up option, the tours operator keeps informed us because of a small group tour, the pickup option is not available.

Great day out from Bangkok!

A great day trip from Bangkok! A little culture at the JEATH Railway museum and the Bridge Over The River Kwai, followed by a fantastic hike up to the top of Erawan Falls. The waterfalls were absolutely stunning and the water was great to chill out in after a long walk. Just be mindful that you'll need to rent a lifejacket (20 Baht, so very cheap) and also be aware that the fish like to nibble! Our tour guide Angie was very informative, friendly and helpful - especially when helping us choose Thai food to eat for lunch! All in all, a great trip. Perhaps could have been spread over two days to ensure a really thorough exploration, but for a day trip it was awesome!

Awesome day trip to Erawan Falls

Day in Erawan National Park

Long but amazing day in Erawan National Park. We did a quick visit to the Bridge Over River Kwai and the museum. The highlight of the day is the waterfall which has 7 floors where you can bathe in clear water with spectacular surroundings.

Beautiful nature

This trip promises very beautiful places and many attractions. However, it doesn't hurt to know that Bangkok is big and visiting these places will take time. So get ready - a lot of travel, a lot to see, and it takes a whole day, but it's worth it. The tour operator is not responsible for long travel times - he cannot do anything about it. This is the nature of Thailand. Everything was great!

Waterfall the highlight.

Nice day out. The waterfall was the highlight. 7 differnet 7 levels to swim at. Tour guide was really knowledgeable on the area. Personally, would have preferred to do it myself to spend more time at the Waterfalls.

Rushed day - flooded conditions at Erawan

We got off on the wrong foot because 2 people were very late - 30+ minutes which made everything afterwards seem rushed. The JEATH war museum was small and rustic but houses an important story of our collective history. The small boat ride to the bridge from JEATH provided a nice view from the river. The bridge location is touristy and the historical context is the only thing that makes it worth going. The guide took us to a sit-down lunch restaurant seemingly way out of the way. It was a nice spot but seemed like a time drag on a time compressed trip. A quicker option would have been better. The driver missed the turn to Erawan which wasn’t realized for ~15 minutes. This cost us more time. There is a ~300 yard paved road from the parking lot to the first falls. We were short on time so we paid 30 Baht to take a small electric cart to the trailhead. Since it was mid-Oct (end of the rainy season) and had rained in the prior days, the falls were flooded with brown water. The massive torrent of water was impressive but far from the beautiful emerald green seen in pictures. It was also overcast with a light rain at the top of the falls. Swimming was not allowed due to the high water and a couple of parts of the trail near levels 6 and 7 were flooded requiring you to take off your shoes and wade through 6-12 inch water. The guide said we only had about an hour at the Falls so it was really a rush to get to the top and back down. All in all, this was a good trip out of Bangkok to see a less urban part of Thailand. Due to some of the issues I described above, it felt rushed at the sites of interest. Weather conditions made the Falls not like the brochure pictures but still impressive to see.

River kwai and Erawan

The bridge was ok and lunch was nice spot but the fall was not alotted enough time in my opinion as I went pretty briskly paced up to the level 7 destination of erawan falls and literally was supposed to be back to van in 22 minutes.just logistically perhaps make that a priority activity and inform them about bringing a towel or change clothes.also the cave nearby would be really neet to have a tour around. Suerinna was a friendly and informative guide.

Nice but a lack of information from guide

The Jeath railway museum was not really a museum but a collection of photographs & paintings. We were then taken on a boat ride (additional 300 baht each) to the bridge on the river Kwai. Our guide did not explain any details of the area or why the area is important so we were left wondering what had happened here. Next we drove 1hr to the waterfalls & our group walked off by ourselves. What we were not told was if you want to swim you need to hire a life jacket. After walking up several levels, although a very pretty place we were very disappointed we couldn’t swim. We wish our guide had explained this to us all before we left the bus. It is a very long way from Bangkok so be prepared.

Enjoy the jungles of Thailand

The tour was very nice. The Van ride was comfortable with a break stop in between. They provided plenty of water for the ride. Waterfalls were beautiful with nice swimming. Our tour guide Rinhyada was sweet and informative.

Good sites with terrible tour guide

River of Kwai and Erawan National park both are worth visiting, I enjoyed the waterfalls very much. However, I had the worst tour guide ever in my life. His English is not easy to understand if he ever talked. He did not provide very much information along the way. Poor time management, he told us to have 10 mins bathroom break , but after 20 mins he was still sitting there with no sign to leave, I had to remind him. In addition, he has no skill set to bring people together and to social with the tourists from different countries. How did he get this job?

Full day tour to River Kwai and Erawan National park

We were met by our tour guide who was easy to identify. The transport was very comfortable with free WiFi. We were given a bottle of water and frequent comfort breaks throughout the day. Our guide provided us with a full background on the history relevant to our tour. We had sufficient time at each stop to understand the importance of this history. We had 3.5hrs at the park which included time for lunch. We bought our own lunch there after suggestions from our guide. As a fairly fit couple we managed a pacey hike to the 7th level waterfall and fitted in a 15 min swim at level 2 before we had to leave. You could easily have longer swimming if you chose to see less levels, they are all a beautiful view. There were toilets and a change/outdoor shower point at level 2 and toilets with an indoor shower in the carpark. For those people who require it there were hireable (30BHT) golf buggy rides from the carpark to level 1. To swim it's compulsory to wear a life jacket (20BHT for 2hrs) you buy a coupon for them about 5m from the area you collect them from. If you take food or water past level 2 you need to leave a 20BHT deposit with the park staff at that level. Beware when you swim that tiny fish nibble at your legs and feet as you leave the water. Remember to bring cash for use at the park for purchases , lunch and driver/ guide tips. It was a lovely day out with great photo opportunities. There were only 6 people on our tour and our guide was friendly and funny. I would highly recommend this tour as very good value for money.

Amazing waterfalls

Great trip to the Erawan Falls. Wish we had more time at the JEATH museum but the falls were beautiful and there was enough time for exploring all levels. The hike to the top of the falls takes a while and is very uphill so plan accordingly if you want to go to the 7th level but if you just want to swim the lower levels are good too.

Great trip, beautiful waterfalls worth the drive

Amazing waterfalls. Very rewarding if you hike to the top. Nuch was an amazing tour guide. Hiking to all 7 waterfalls was an amazing experience.

JEATH and Erawan Falls

The waterfall was beautiful, definitely worth seeing. Beware of the little fish if you go swimming! Overall, the booking, meet-up, and instructions were simple and easy to follow. The ride was a bit bumpy, so if you have a bad back, sit in the front of the bus. I just wish we had more time at the museum.

Not worth the expense

The circuit includes : - Jeath museum, short and lean but interesting. - Kwai Bridge, no additional particular explanations, crowded. Just the time to cross the bridge and take a picture. - Erawan national park, by far the most interesting stop in my opinion. The waterfalls are nice, and it is a great pleasure to swim. We had time to go to the top and enjoy some swimming, and spent +~30min than scheduled here. What I did not like : - We did not really get a choice about where to have lunch. Proposal was for all the group to go to the same restaurant, where food was ~ okay but 2x to 3x more expensive than what you can find by yourself. Drinks were also really expensive (180 THB for a large beer). You do not get to choose your food. - I feel I missed some additional explanations about building techniques for Kwai bridge, etc., which could bring additional value to the tour. In conclusion, I think this was quite an expensive trip compared to what we got. Redoing it, I would rather book transport for ourselves. I guess the tour can be of interest if you are alone and do not want to organise by yourself.

Passionate tour guide

What can I say? It has been a long day and most hours with an overall 6 hours driving on the coach. However, the passion of the tour guide clearly made the entire trip joyful and full of laughter. One thing that impressed me a lot is that she pointed out the matcha flavour of pocky to me after seeing me buying the chocolate one in the morning, showing her good memory and thoughtful characteristic. Overall, it has been a great day and we would like to recommend it to those who enjoy WW2 history while craving to have a great time in the water under the waterfall!

Shocking

Never got to do the trip as the tour guide cancelled 2hrs prior to going, we only found this out while sitting in the minibus as the driver handed me his phone and the person on the other end told me that the trips cancelled due to a guide no-show, so we can either pay the driver and he'll take us to the bridge, reschedule (which we couldnt as we were leaving Bangkok the following day) or tell the driver to take us back to our hotel, I certainly wasn't going to pay twice for the same trip so decided to go back to our hotel

Quite a long and full day

I travelled solo with 6 others, the guide and driver in comfortable air conditioned van. The trip was very well organized and even has travel insurance coverage! Our guide, Ratima Poompattanayota was very friendly and attentive and the van driver very efficient in getting through traffic!. Hotel pickup very limited so had to take GRAB to meeting spot which added 30 -45 minutes to already lengthy trip. Lunch not included but this gave us more time at waterfall ( 3 1/2 hours) .Other tours were higher priced but may offer hotel pickup or less time at Erawan. Quick stop at JEATH museum and bridge, with enough time to walk across and take photos. Another hour to falls from there. Hike quite steep at top and can be strenuous if going all the way to level 7. Glad I wore sturdy shoes and brought extra water, bug spray and bandana to wipe sweat away. Didn’t use required swimmer life jacket even though I carried on path. Saw monkeys up close too so don’t bring food on trail!

Bring your sunscreen, bug spray, bathing suit, a towel, and comfortable shoes if you're walking to the top. We had so much fun! Nancy is the best.
