Good if you like chaos, lots going on all at once

Food was okay, not entirely hot when you sat back down at your seat. Atmosphere is a bit overstimulating if you are expecting a nice(chill) night on the water. If you are not expecting that, then go for it. We will say the service was awesome and they deserve credit where credit is due! Entertainment was great and the musicians had good taste in music!

Dinner cruise

There were way too many people waiting on the pier it was a cattle run ridiculous. Wouldn’t do it again. However the staff were lovely and the food was ok

We had a great time in the cruise, the food was really good and we received a good hospitality from the staff. Beautiful view. 100% recommended.

Amazing evening. Don't miss it!

This evening was one of the highlights of our trip. The cruise itself is very beautiful, with the tables outside on the deck. The staff were also lovely and friendly, and service was always with a gracious smile. The food, although not exceptional, was very tasty and with a lot of variety. But the highlight of the cruise was the music and the atmosphere on board. The musicians were all excellent and were able to animate us in such a loving and natural way, that by the end of the evening we were all dancing and singing. Very highly recommended! One word of warning… the traffic in Bangkok is terrible. Definitely allow an extra hour of travel time to get to the dock on time!

Bangkok river cruise ( princess)

the river cruise was the highlight of my stay in Bangkok, to be able to see the historic sites of Bangkok in comfort whilst eating lovely food and also being entertained was amazing. I thought it was also excellent value for money and highly recommend it

Not worth it.

It's a booze cruise. Can't really talk to your friends because the music is so loud Tables are crammed up next to each other so it feels like dinner with strangers. People basically ran to the buffet even though there was plenty of food. And the line for buying drinks and then trying to get back to your table makes it harder to have fun.

Great food and views

The cruise itself is fun and beautiful, the food was great. Getting into the boat was a hustle as they made us go back and forth for an hour until we finally got our ticket.

Don't book online they cancelled just after taking my money

Booked and paid online. Then 2mins after taking my money they cancelled my booking of 5 people. Don't get refund for 5 business days. Rip off

Food spread at the buffet was good.neon lights,fireworks,food everything combined it was an amazing experience.

Worst experience ever

Worst organization ever. Boarding catastrophe, no visible queues, no rain protection in raining season, you had no chance to speak about seating rules and in the end we were herded in lower deck where windows were sight blocked due to condense water of wet customers and rain from the outside. food was empty after 15 minutes and didn’t get a refill. temperature in lower deck was around 19 degrees - taking in regard the fact that most customers were soaking wet - good idea to make everyone sick. i give two points only because of the entertainment lady. good voice and good entertainment qualities. Rest of the staff on board was professional - but not friendly. I expect more actually. but it didn’t look like they enjoy their jobs.

Nice evening on a cruise

It was a good evening spent with my wife for the dinner cruise.The music was good nice people for entertaiments.we liked and would recomend it to our friends and family.Thks you for that....❤️❤️❤️

Hurry up and wait

There was a few families on board and one younger obviously newly in love couple who were having a fantastic time. Our experience was less than great however. To start- the check in process was very difficult to find. It is hidden in a small side area on the basement floor of this massive shopping complex. You are required to check in 90 minutes prior to the departure which seemed excessive. Once it was close to boarding time they corral everybody onto this tiny pier to wait. There are assigned seats on the boat so all the smashing and pushing was completely pointless. They can only board 1 boat at a time at the pier so we ended up boarding about 15 minutes behind, after a 45 minute stand on the pier. The buffet got a bit crazy. No order to how they let people eat, it was a “buffet is now open” announcement from the singer. And despite the never ending supply of food people still got crazy about getting their plates. The sights were great, our table ended up the furthest away from the rail, and I am not sure if there was a different option for a better table at purchase but keep in mind that your table may end up 3 tables away from being able to see everything clearly. Quality of food was decent. Nothing to write home about either good or bad. This will probably be our last dinner cruise. Not for us, but that doesn’t mean it’s not for everybody.

Good choice but there are many more also.

I had a very good time at the dinner cruise Chao phyra. While booking online there was this was only choice for Indian vegetarian food. If you don't need Indian veg food than there are a lot of choices. But we enjoyed the ambience, food and everything. Must try.

Painfully loud noise (music)

The views were wonderful! The food was okay -- what we would expect for a medium priced buffet. But we couldn't enjoy any of it because the live music was played at a painful volume. There was nowhere to escape the noise. We wish we would have brought ear plugs. Also, Viator did not give a choice between upper and lower deck. We would have preferred the upper deck and would have been willing to pay extra.

Great experience. Smooth sailing. Entertainment was 10+. Very organized. Good variety of food. Beautiful view of Bangkok

Great experience good food

It was really a great experience and indian food was too no bad. Live music made the ambience memorable. We enjoyed a lot and it is worth the money paid.

Bad experience compare to those in Vietnam boat cruisers were even more better organised.

The location to redeem cruiser ticket was hard to find inside ICONSIAM. At the Pier there were confusion because there were different table for different cruisers boat for different time and no specific sign board to provide to show what time the right one cruiser boat arrive and for boarding. It was definitely disadvantage and not advise able for solo traveler or visitor to pay for this cruiser boat with dinner that given a seat inside inner roll instead of window seat after been long delayed and waited for a few hours before boarding. This cruise were more advantage for coups and big group up to 8 person that were provide them with better roll of sitting arrangement but NOT for solo or alone customer.

Disappointed

Very very long wait. It said the meet up was 6:30pm, but turned out the boat left at 7:30pm. So we had to wait for an hour. The instructions of the entering process was unclear. Food was not bad, but the sushi was not that good.

Must go

The views was amazing!!! My wife and I were really enjoying the night on board. We took so many photos too.

Avoidable

I would give this a miss the next time around. I think this is a bit of overhyped attraction. The cruise itself of the river was great. But the waiting at the pier among a a large crowd of people for over an hour, the huge line you had to be in for the buffet dinner was all a bit of a let down. The people as soon as you boarded, started to line up for food. I would have loved for someone to talk about the various buildings we were passing, and an introduction of the iconic places. After about half an hour, we lost interest, and wanted to get back.

CRUISE 🚢 15th June 2023

We really enjoyed the cruise on the Bangkok river once we got settled. We arrived at the pier for 6:15pm - no signage or directions in regards to where you needed to be. Fortunately, there were some helpful people to help. Eventually we were told to go to ICONSIAM to gate 5 and get boarding tickets. Then waited on the pier for over an hour to board the boat! The ICONSIAM water display was on which was good to watch. I must say the food was REALLY good and it was plentiful. The cruise up the river was so beautiful with all the lights lighting up various landmarks along the river. Absolutely stunning! However, the process of been able to get food from buffet could of be so much more civilised with staggered seating been able to go up to get food. There was an announcement that the buffet was open and the masses rushed liked they’d never seen food before!. 😂 The entertainment was great and the involved the cruise participants with singalongs and dancing! It could be more enjoyable with these procedures explained in the ticket purchasing. So for future passengers make note GATE 5 Iconsiam!!!!! Great boat trip, finding the checking a bit challenging.

The boat was nice and the view along the river was excellent. The food was OK and drinks prices were reasonable. Area and shopping centre stunning. The organisation was a bit chaotic and the check-in desk was really hard to find as the shopping centre is enormous. Allow plenty of time, we were sent in several directions in our hunt.

Hot Foods are cold --- AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Hot Foods are cold --- AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! --- "Hot" Food on a buffet dinner cruise should never be cold after only 8 minutes afloat. WORSE, "hot" meat is cold at the Chef's carvery station too. EVEN WORSE - upon written complaint, the Sales Team and Ms.Suphanat C. (Bee) in Reservations DOES NOT CARE to right the wrong ( Date of Cruising: 2-April-23 / Booking Code: BC-082 ), . They'll tell you they don't have a solution to keep the food hot across the whole journey, because this will burn the food. UNACCEPTABLE! AVOID! Heating solutions do exist to keep hot foods hot at buffet stations. I have attempted to resolve my complaint, but Chao Phraya Princess Dinner Cruise has done nothing meaningful to right the wrong, to restore value to us for our spend, or to even empathetically agree how disappointing it was to be served HOT FOODS COLD during such a special night out. Just avoid. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Late start but good cruise

The tour description said the cruise was supposed to start at 6:30pm, but it didn't start until 7:30pm. The buffet and music were good, and the views of Wat Arun and the palace at night were great. Our group had a good time overall.

Very substandard and chaotic experience

I was not at all impressed with the cruise let alone the entire experience. We collected our tickets at 6:30, bearing in mind it was extremely difficult to find the cruise stand inside the busy mall. Then we were notified the cruise was to set sail for 7:30, and given the lack of chaos and disorganisation we didn’t set off till 8pm, waiting in the humid air, standing up for over an hour. The pier was packed/cramped, as there were roughly 4/5 cruises all setting off at the same time…at the same pier, just pure havoc and no communication. Food was bang average, standard mass production of rice, and other oriental dishes. Seats are randomly allocated and we were placed bottom deck in the corner with no AC. The views were the only saving grace but I’d honesty not recommend this to anyone if hoping for a nice chilled/relaxing experience.

Great Cruise, very average food.

All loading of passengers onto the boat was poorly organised, we left 15 min late as a result. Music was ok and on both levels, buffet in the lower deck Aircon area was a little different to the top open deck, it was well laid out but the food was only just average. Great views of all the city buildings lit up and along the river. Drink prices ok.

Not a great experience at all !

It was ok but too many people on cruise , waiting time was also about an hour we were asked to collect tickets around 6:30 pm and was told that cruise will start at sharp 7:30 pm so we should reach around 7:20 pm at the pier 2 but it took more time waiting as it came around 7:50pm and the weather was so hot and humid . Later when we were getting in it was chaotic as everyone wanted to get in there asap , I would say it was not well organized.Food was ok.So overall not that great experience.

Dinner cruise

Not easy to find the booking desks to check in. Staff were very attentive and very polite. Food was average. Entertainment was okay.

Enjoyed our dinner whilst seeing all of Bangkok's beauty at night.

We really enjoyed this river dinner cruise. Great way to see all the fabulous sights along the river at night. The hot buffet food selection was not great. Mostly looked quite unappetising and the few dishes we tried, we didn't enjoy. HOWEVER, the endless supply of delicious prawns totally satisfied us and, the desserts were nice too. Between the prawns, dessert, entertainment and views, we had a lovely night. I suspect that all of the dinner cruise operators would offer a similar product, therefore, I am happy to recommend this cruise.

A great cruise, with fabulous food. We recommend this cruise to friends when they first visit Bangkok. A great way to see Bangkok at night. The food has improved greatly since our last cruise a few years ago.

Great cruise, amazing food nice music I think alcohol could be included with the price, but that was not a problem. There are cocktails, where not to order actually

Nice and enjoyable dinner cruise

It was not expensive nice dinner. And great atmosphere. We really enjoyed. Recommend. The food was ok. The service was good. Everything was very good.

Mediocre

The best part of this experience was the driver for my hotel transfer. He pointed out sights on our way to IconSiam, made sure I was checked in, then showed me the correct pier. Unfortunately we had almost 2 hours of extra time because the pickup was scheduled for 5:30, we were all checked in and ready at 6:00, but the ship didn’t arrive until 7:45. He showed me around IconSiam and then told me about the water show outside by the pier, which I actually enjoyed more than the dinner cruise. I had a table in the middle on the lower level, so it was very hard to see anything worthwhile outside. I ended up standing outside at the front of the ship for the entire cruise so I could see and take pictures, but there wasn’t as much to see as I expected. Food was ok, not great. For $150, including transfer, it wasn’t worth the price.

Dancing time~

It is a perfect time! wonderful views. I enjoyed the music, the songs and the dancing. we ordered the cocktails and have a perfect time during the dinner cruise. Worth it!

Birthday surprise

The online booking for the dinner cruise went fast. The check in point was very crowded since there were a lot of boats leaving the same time. A hostess came to us to asist us, very nice and gave the experience a personal touch. Once outside at the pier there was a watershow with music, so cool! I booked a table for 6 outside on the deck. The service on the boat was excellent and the food delicious! Since it was a birhday surprise for my aunt it made it an extra special cruiseday. The food was delicious, the entertainment was super and the views of the temples! Just wauw! The fireworks gave the whole cruise experience a special bang! A must do!

I wouldn't do it again

The good: Beautiful views at night. Fun music and dancing. We were lucky to have an 8 person table to ourselves so we weren't crowded and had a great view. The food was not good. The alcohol drinks were weak. Overall it was not really worth it.

The cruise was great. Your organisation stuffed up the ticketing. Caused us great distress.

The most memorable part was the frustration caused by Viator not completing the ticket information correctly causing great delays at the ticket office. Never again will I use Viator for tickets anywhere.

Made Us Dance !!!

We loved watching evening scenery and all the lovely landmarks of Bangkok as we cruised the evening over Chao Phraya. It was exhilarating experience….tasty Thai cuisine, well laid buffet and not to forget lively music performed live …that made us dance….go for this if you want a fun evening and riverside experience. Travstore staff was super helpful to guide all along !!!

Worst experience ever

Our ticket was not valid and was not accepted by the cruise agency. After one hour of discussion with everybody we gave up. They told us we should cancel (was not possible anymore) and buy new tickets from them. Total scam. Hopefully we get our money back.

Crowded

Thousands of people waiting on the pier that night, 630 one should be there but u actually leave quarter to 8 so the waiting in line time was the same amount as the boat ride. Mass confusion with all the tour groups

Nothing special. Food below average but lots of it. Hearded like cattle. Could not see a thing from the boat. No views.

Great attraction poor time schedule management

Food was great, atmosphere was good, and a great way to sightsee. The boat was an hour and half late to board, that is the reason for 4 stars. Everything else was good.

Better options. Wait till you arrive and speak to the hotel

Difficult to find the ticket booth inside a huge shopping center , and no help to find the pier. boat cruise was packed and mainly Asian people pushing in question and pushing in for the food. Much better options available for the money. The only saving grace was the private boat back to the hotel which we happened to come across rather than the public ferry to get there !!!

The food was good. The entertainment was excellent, especially with the dancing at the end. The cruise departed late and wasn’t the full 2 hours.

Love the energy, live music, everyone dancing, and the sight seeing. Breezy but not cold at all, so many food options. But leave the kids at home

Great Experience. Food was average. The upper and roof levels are much more better than ground floor. Try to book early to get them.

We throughly enjoyed sailing on Chao Phraya and watching iconic sights of Bangkok glitter in the evening. The cruise was fun with lively music and great food. Over all a superb experience to enjoy the evening. Travstore guys were helpful in guiding to the venue and overall coordination
