This is a budget cruise, you can see that in the low price that you pay. My river cruise experience with White Orchid was truly exceptional. The stunning scenery, dining, and friendly crew created an unforgettable experience that we will treasure. A must do if you want to watch your pennies!

Dinner cruise done wrong

Absolutely the worst experience in regards to explanation on how to get to pier to take in cruise. Mentions to take free water taxi however it’s only there if people at pier allow you to board I am guessing. We end purchasing water taxi tickets so we could get on boat to river front mall. Once there no better no signage as to where you need to go, we had purchased both cruise and show tickets so you need to find show office as website states once you find that then your told to go elsewhere to find boat tickets. Which is poorly marked, back to the pier you arrived at to board ship. Whoever runs this company needs to be fired! Absolutely the most frustrating experience and people should not tolerate such incompetence. Once on the boat you feel rushed to eat. Food was good and sites are nice. Would recommend any other cruise than this one!

Memorable evening

Everything was good. Book early to ensure you are seated on top deck.it makes a huge difference to the experience

Boat was late docking so we were waiting around for over an hr. Staff were really friendly and while to food was cold it was really nice. Prices were average for Bangkok. Glad I went on ot but probably wouldn't rebook

Disappointed

This wasy fifth time to do this activity and the first time I was not on upper deck ( my fault as I booked last minute) food range not as good and food was cold and I mean C-O-L-D Do not think I would take that chance again

The riverside views were great. The buffet food options were mostly Thai and Western, which I appreciate since I prefer trying local food. It was spread out throughout the ship so plenty of choice. They were also giving out free draught beer which was a bonus for us. The performances were fun and a few people were dancing. They had a table with a birthday celebrations and the DJ gave the birthday girl a shoutout. Its fantastic value for money, yes its more budget but we had a great night out.

Not my type of cruise

Food was poor and you had to move to the next floor for other options on the buffet. When you got to it it was finished. Cheap beer was free and the rest you had to pay for. The entertainment was VERY POOR and then they want a tip for it. It was cheap. If you don't hold on to your glass it is gone they had every thing packed and cleared before we could leave the boat. You could not see the beautiful river if you were not seated on the top. The main reason that I took the cruise was for the view of the river and we did not see anything.

Average experience- could have been better

It wasn’t clear there were different levels of service when we booked our tour. We ended up in the “basement” (ground level). There were two floors above us including the top level which was open and had much better service and views. No one ever came to us with menus. We walked upstairs and saw the bar and servers. I would recommend this tour but be aware of the difference levels of service. Food was cold and just average tasting. Ice cream was on the other levels but not on ours.

Fantastic NYE cruise and beautiful fireworks

We booked 2 days before for 31 December as everything else was full. This was a busy night. Yes the pier was busy but the staff did the best they could as there were 10 cruises and thousands of people to handle. We boarded the ship and we noticed there was food on both levels (we were seated at the top). Plenty to choose from food wise. They also gave us free beer (chang) and also the house wine, The Highlight was around 1130pm the boats docked and we were all in place for the fireworks which were spectacular. You can see the mass of people on other boats and on the bridges watching this. Yes we were late getting in due to many cruises disembarking but what a fantastic night!

Won't do this again

We booked this trip for New Year's Eve. It was expensive but we wanted to do something special. First off, the food is terrible. Poor quality and cold. It was a buffet that did not have a huge amount of choice and was low-end. The drinks were free - apart from mine, which was diet coke. Drink as much cheap wine and beer as you like - but no free diet coke. The free tea and coffee were undrinkable. The entertainment was so old-fashioned and poor. The main singer - she could not really sing. We had a man with a flute. Then 3 men dressed as women who could not lip sync either. The music was your typical YMCA crap. It was all very cheap and nasty. A lot like a very bad English wedding reception. I really thought that this type of affair was no longer available- but it seems to be well alive on this boat. Getting off took over 45 minutes!! Then, getting back to the hotel was a nightmare.

Choose a different company for new years cruise and avoid ICONSIAM pier on new years

I went on the new years eve cruise from ICONSIAM and it was all very chaotic. We got back 1 hour late, and I almost missed the last train. If I could go back, I would choose another company and avoid ICONSIAM pier even if I had to pay extra. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the views on the river are beautiful.

Pleasant but tacky

The entertainment on board is tacky The singer was a rank amateur and the less said about the performances the better - very oridanary - better not to have it

Okay-ish

Getting there was easy and the direction provided were clear. We arrived around 6pm so about almost 2 hrs before boarding time. Registration was okay. The same pier is used by other tours so i was crowded and confusing on when our ship will arrive. There is no seating area, people were standing and those who couldn’t stand long then sat on the steps. Staff was good, very attentive. We were placed on the bottom deck and asked to be moved to the top, where we had a good view of the buildings and lights. The buffet was okay, I loved the salads. Beer was on tap so a lot of people enjoyed that. There were singers lip syncing to popular songs playing. It was ok, at least they made effort to engage the guests. Overall, I give this 3 stars because my Aunty loved it, but I would not do it again. Tip - be mindful of the Bangkok traffic, arrive early as you can walk around the mall and sit on the upper deck.

The cruise itself was nice but food was not great, it was more quantity over quality. For the price we paid we were expecting a bit more.

Wish I could get my money back. Completely disorganized and chaotic. We waited for almost 2 hours and eventually bailed because the boat was behind and the amount of disorganization caused a panic attack

Get what you pay for!

My group enjoys the scenes from the ship. Definitely an incredible experience. The boat was very outdated and the food was mediocre at best. When the food was set out, there was a mad rush to the buffet line. The servers didn’t practice sanitary procedures as I saw several of them over a barrel taking the seeds out of the watermelon with their hands and a knife. AC was spotty. The entertainment was basic with a local Thai singer belting out the BeeGees! But for the price point, it fulfilled my expectations in seeing bangkok at night, but my group went out for dinner when we reached shore.

Awesome buffet on the cruise at night 🌉

Its fantastic buffet and ride on the boat, so many various delicious foods can try 😋 its awesome experience got in Thailand, while your trip you can see Wat Arun, Wat pho, Grand palace and special places around the river,

Never Again

Cook nice food, the buffet is terrible, the salad and the prawns were okay but everything else was the worst food I have ever eaten in Thailand and I have been here for 10 years. Turn the music down, its far too loud.

Worth every cent!

The food, service and entertainment was excellent. We had a special cruise. An hour longer and magnificent fireworks display

Good entertainment and a fun time

We had a great time. We were seated inside so if you wanted to see the views need to go upstairs or on the outer deck. We were lucky with the weather and it didn't rain but due to high tides were not able to go past Wat Arun but there are still amazing views along the river of the city

Great cruise request a table upstairs

I booked this cruise for myself my husband and my 16 year old boys. It was raining and Bangkok traffic was awful so everything was delayed but the staff were great at getting us abroad. We were seated down stairs which had no atmosphere and because of the rain and the steam you couldn’t see anything. We were also wet from the rain and the air con was freezing. I had a look upstairs which looked much better I asked the manager and lucky he had space and moved us. If I hadn’t of been able to be moved I would have asked for my money back. However the staff were very accommodating and upstairs staff was brilliant lots of extra food stations fresh sushi, ice creams, fresh seafood as well as the buffet, downstairs had none of this except the same buffet. The entertainment was pure cheese and absolutely brilliant, we had a stag do on with us and they were nosy but so much fun, although no everyone would have like this but I thought it was brilliant. The buffet is fine tasty and edible but it’s not gourmet but it’s still very good. Cocktails are delicious … it’s a great cruise upstairs the views of Bangkok are beautiful well worth the money but only upstairs if I booked again I would request a table upstairs and by the window. I would definitely recommend for a fun night.

Entertainment was good. Food was ok. Check in and arrival process was chaotic. Make sure you leave adequate time to get to icon Siam.

Fun-filled Cruise

An awesome evening cruise with fantastic entertainment(traditional Thai dance & Cabaret) and a huge & delicious buffet.

DON'T waste your money

This was a horrible dinner cruise: 1. There was no organization outside, thus there was no line and there was shoving to get into the boat from the start. There was no need to because the tables were reserved. 2. The food was cold and some undercooked. The fries were as if they had come out of the fridge... my 12 year old didn't like the buffet whatsoever. 3. The drinks were extremely limited: water, hot tea, and of course unlimited beer (just what you want on a small boat... drunk pepole who can fall over) 🤦🏻‍♀️. They had desserts but no coffee. Also, there was a blue drink on our table and my kids didn't know if it was for drinking or dipping our fingers to clean. It reminded me of the window cleaner. 4. The view from the bottom floor... well there is practically none. 5. It had been raining so my kids and o went upstairs outside deck for a limited time... that part was nice, but too short. 6.it was a buffet line and some people were cutting in and shoving. Overall I ate undercooked , cold spaghetti and some cold dishes. 7. The food and experience get a "horrible" from me... don't waste your money.

50/50 Experience

Overall a good experience, but I have given it 3 stars as they tend to avoid customers who are English speaking. We had no idea of what was happening as the instructions were given in their own language, no one really could speak fluent English and tell us what was going on. The food was nice and the boat was well maintained. The entertainment was good and overall a pleasant evening.

Very touristy way to see the river at night…

So the White Orchard cruise is a nice way to see the river at night…the musical entertainment was very cheesy…think bad night club acts - but what they lacked on talent they made up for in effort. Food was plentiful, but average. Beer was free which was a major plus given we were right next to Mr Kenny singing…all in all - a fun way to see the river, but know what to expect..

Good for a couple hours

The Cruise on the river is nice, the food is good highlighting the fresh sashimi of salmon, the Thai food: Pad Thai, Yom Tom Soup, Curry, minced garlic chili ginger meat, and cakes. The illumination of the temples and buildings on the Chaopraya River are a guarantee of enjoyment. The outside tables are great, but don't expect too much about the dance show which is of poor quality and located on the top floor, not accessible for the view if you are sitting on the lower tables forward of the ship, which is absolutely the best place to be. Otherwise this is a good choice to spend a couple hours in Bangkok

Enjoyment depends on where you sit

We were allocated a table on the lower deck. As such we could not see or hear the music, dancing or announcements. Upstairs deck was full. I would use a different cruise next time. I’ve been on 6 previous cruises. All were better.

Good boat cruise

Food was okay, good service, nice view. There was a show to get us all going. We went under couple of bridges, two of them was almost touching the cruise, we were told to sit down and they pull down all the standing lights near the buffet, I didn’t mind it, it was fun. Okay experience overall.

Pleasant and fun dinner trip on ChaoPraya river with live music

Pleasant and fun trip, the buffet was good, the shrimp cakes were spicy and delicious, sushi salmon fresh, coconut dessert tasty, the show on board was fun. Don't expect signature cocktails and a super fancy setting, but for the price of 38 USD this tour is an excellent choice, beer is free, other alcoholic beverages have to be paid extra, we were 3 people, including one Thai national and had a really good time. Staff was attentive and friendly. If you prefer smaller crowds you probably have to book a more expensive river cruise. Overall a very pleasant experience!

A great dinner cruise experience!

This was such a lovely experience. The boarding process is a bit confusing and chaotic but eventually they manage to get everyone to where they need to be. A word of advice, try and arrive at least 30-45 minutes earlier. The boat itself is lovely, neat, clean and spacious. The Thai music and live Thai dancing really sets the atmosphere. The buffet itself is pretty good, with a large and varied selection of the most popular Thai dishes. The singing contest/cabaret show which took place after dinner was simply amazing! The cruise itself is very relaxing and it was so nice to sit outside on the deck and see the different monuments, temples and places of interest lit up against the dark night sky. A very memorable experience which i would definitely recommend!

Beautiful evening Dinner Cruise

We chose the White Orchid river dinner cruise due to the good reviews and the fact this boat has a top outside uncovered deck, This particular evening river cruise starts from Asiatique on the river front, just outside of Bangkok Beautiful Thai/Asian and European style buffet self serve with table bar and drinks service. The food was amazing and such choice Great non stop entertainment right from the start with traditional Thai dancing, followed by a wonderful singer/band, then a further illuminated Thai dance show and singer/band to finish. What a wonderful way to spend a warm evening taking in the sights from Bangkok at night Excellent value and really an experience not to be missed

Really lovely cruise, the cabaret show was fantastic

The riverside views were great from the boat. The buffet food options were mostly Thai and Western, which I appreciate since I prefer trying local food. Dessert was mostly Western cake and with the Thai jelly. The performances were great, with Thai performances. Great value for money with I Asia Thailand and they were very helpful and easy to contact.

Great cruise dinner experience

I Asia Thailand arranged the table at the front of boat (our request) which was honoured. We can hear the music and also see the Thai show which was excellent. - Food was a buffet which had western food and also Thai food and the Pad Thai were excellent and very tasty.

The best place to watch the countdown fireworks is on a boat

The food, entertainment, and countdown fireworks were all great. The only thing that was disappointing was that our seats were closed off on the first floor, but we were able to spend time on the deck after the meal, so we were happy.

DINNER CRUISE

The cruise is magnificent, with all the Christmas lights at this time, we appreciate it. The dinner is excellent, the atmosphere is great on the boat with the entertainers.

Exciting!!

First experience of taking a cruise in Bangkok and having dinner on the ship. When queuing outside the system is good so you don't have to worry... the officers direct and give instructions. For a complete meal, it tastes just ordinary, nothing special. There's beer too, free. The waiters are very friendly and helpful. We got the one inside but when we finished eating, we went upstairs... it turned out it was more exciting at the top. Both below and above there are singers and they often invite passengers to join in dancing and singing. Anyway, it's fun!!

Die Tour bei Nacht ist sehr schön. Der Blick vom Fluss auf die Stadt ist fantastisch. Wer auf dem Oberdeck sitzen möchte (und das sollte man), muss sich frühzeitig darum kümmern, anderenfalls landet man unter Deck. Die Tische sind sehr eng aufgestellt. Am Buffet und am Zapfhahn bilden sich teilweise lange Schlangen. Das Essen ist bestenfalls mittelmäßig; an beiden Landungsstellen Iconsiam und Asiatique isst man für kleines Geld bedeutend besser. Das Showprogramm sollte man gedanklich ausblenden.
