Tons of temples

Very friendly tour guide who spoke good English. Very good tour to experience the history and temples of Bangkok. Word of caution, be sure you want to see many temples. If visiting temples isn't your thing you may not enjoy. For me it was great.

Amazing tour and knowledgeable host!

Tommy came and met us in our hotel lobby. He was very pleasant and after introductions, he told us that it was Thai New Years. He explained the tradition of pouring water over Buddha statues and good fortune. Our shuttle driver quickly took us away to start our temple tour. Tommy was extremely knowledgeable about the history and cultural elements. Every question we had was thoughtfully explained. He coordinated with the shuttle driver so that there was little time waiting for the ride and more time spent on sight seeing. There were cold towels and drinks in the shuttle. After the temple tour, he brought us to a local market for some tasty local treats. The guided tour was well worth the price. Thank you Tommy!

The wonder of Bangkok’s Temples.

The variety of designs, colours, and sculptures is simply overwhelming. There is no real visit to the Thai capital without exploring its outstanding temples. Highly recommendable are the following: The Golden Mount The reclining Buddha Wat Arun The grand palace I would also recommend if one has the time, visiting the old city of Ayutthaya. Its temples are a vivid reminder of the magnificence of what once was the Capital city of Siam, nowadays Thailand.

Learn an important part of Thai Culture

I just come from an amazing cultural tour experience of Bangkok. I am so happy to have this opportunity to learn about Bangkok’s life and culture! Floating Markets with Tommy

We had the most magical day with Tommy. We took the private floating market tour and we had a brilliant time. Tommy was punctual, professional and fun to be with. From the ice box full of cold drinks, to the fascinating knowledge of Bangkok, every bit of the day was planned meticulously and seemlessly. Incredible guide!

Teera made sure every detail was planned out perfectly. He was very patient and knew the right spots to go and best way to get there fast. We didn’t have a ton of time in Bangkok, but he maximized it for us. He is very knowledgeable about history and his explanations were very interesting. I didn’t have a chance to plan our sights to see, but he suggested great spots and we really accomplished a lot in a very short period of time. Highly recommend you book with him.

The Initial Visit to Bangkok, and Many More in the Near Future...

Our family of (4) traveled with another family of (4), and (1) buddy. In a separate group, my mother and her (4) girlfriends ("Sexy Seniors") accompanied us. After a lot of social media research and reading TripAdvisor Reviews, it confirmed our decision to go with Thai Sabai Life's "Tailor Made Tours," and there are no regrets. A lot of credit goes to Olaf for keeping digital communication consistent and very responsive. We prepared two separate "Tailor Made Tours" specific to age and mobility between the two groups. Our more energetic group was assigned to Miss Soo, while the "Sexy Seniors" were assigned to Miss Poom. Both tour guides were the most patient and accommodating women to take us around the sights and landmarks of Bangkok for the two days in early July. Unanimously, Miss Soo and Miss Poom spoke English very well, clearly, and sometimes understood our American humor and comments. The Temples (Wats), Markets, and Boat Rides were well planned and we never felt rushed and were well-paced. Because Miss Poom was assigned to the group with limited-mobility, she was very patient and respectful to my mother and her girlfriends, and Miss Poom made sure the "Sexy Seniors" were kept comfortable between landmarks and destinations. Both Tour Guides were very professional, and ensured that our safety was important. Miss Poom, Miss Soo, and their Drivers met at our accommodations, the lovely and boutique-y hotel, Casa Vimaya Riverside. The tour vans were luxurious, equipped with experienced Drivers who knew how to maneuver within the Bangkok traffic, and were cognizant that there were other passengers in the vans. After each stop and returning to the tour vans, the drivers, made sure we were comfortable, supplied us with cool towels, bottled water, and more importantly a well, air-conditioned vehicle. Miss Soo and Miss Poom were very excited and passionate to share their experiences and upbringing in Thailand, and because of this the Thai-culture and customs made us appreciate our moments visiting Thailand. Commonly, the food experience between our groups were the highlights of the "Tailor Made Tours." Being introduced to the food in the Markets quenched our curiosity and motivated our courage to try the various fruits, vegetables, and dishes specific to Thailand and the Bangkok area. As such, our groups would highly recommend Thai Sabai Life. Our kids continually discuss memories of our trip in Bangkok, and we hope to discuss this more in preparation to our next trip to Thailand. In fact, my mother and one of the ladies from the "Sexy Seniors" booked another trip to Bangkok for this upcoming December. We credit Thai Sabai Life for encouraging my mom and her girlfriend to return to Thailand in a few months, to gain more interests and appreciation of Thailand. One Night in Bangkok

Booked online a few months before travelling. Company was easy to deal with and very professional. We booked a shore excursion as our ship was in port for 2 days in Laem Chang and our driver Suvit met us at the port terminal and drove us in to meet our guide Nathan in Bangkok. Car was spacious, with water and cold towels as it was very hot. Nathan spent 6 hours with us on day one and 5 on day two as the port is a 2 hour drive away. We say all the temples, Golden Mount, rod a longtail boat down the river that was the best and a must do! Went to the markets, saw chinatown, golden palace and wat pho. Nathan was very knowledgable and we learnt a lot. Suvit always had the acr waiting for us and dropped us off right where we needed to get out. This saved us lots of time and walking. Highly recommend this company they made our 2 days in Thailand very memorable.

Above and Beyond

I did exhaustive research on guides/guide companies before picking Thai Sabai Life to guide me in Bangkok. Once I had it whittled down to the final 3 options, I chose TSL based on the excellent reviews, willingness to customize, and prompt professional responses to all of my many inquiries. I posed a lot of questions to Olaf before ever booking and he answered each and every one without ever pushing for a booking. True professionalism! I had a fabulous day with Tommy. He moved at the pace that I chose, accommodated my every request, and had great depth of knowledge and ability to communicate it. But what was unique about Tommy is that he genuinely cares about every detail. He doesn’t just show you something, he encourages you to taste, touch, experience. This is the mark of a guide who loves what he does and loves his country. But the true mark of a great company and great guide is that they’re never quite done showing you their world. I had the unique opportunity of purchasing a family heirloom (for cooking) from some farmers while on my tour. Tommy gently negotiated a price for me, and we made our deal which wrapped up with hugs and photos. A month after my return to the US, I felt it would be the right thing to do to send the family some fun pics of their beloved piece on the other side of the ocean in a major metropolis. I wanted them to feel that their piece was being appreciated and used, and not just sitting on a shelf. Olaf and Tommy went out of their way to return to the farm and get the family’s contact info for me so I could send them a letter. This kind of care to bring our worlds together is rare and special. Shore Excursion

Loved our tour with Angmo today. Traffic was awful, but she got us in and out of the places we wanted to see. She found shade as she shared Thai history so we were as comfortable as possible. Well done our new friend!

The Top Tour of Bangkok

We hired and driver and guide to take us all around Bangkok for one day. The company is Thai Saboi Life. The driver showed up at the dock where our ship had arrived right on time at 8:30. It took a little over 21/2 hours to arrive in Bangkok where we picked up our guide. For the next 8 hours we were taken to all the locations we had on our list to visit. Because we had a private guide we didn't have to wait in line at any site. Our guide,Soo, through out the day gave us great information about all the sites we visited. Terrific! We, as an extra appreciation, took her for a delightful lunch at the famous Hotel Shangri La over looking the Praya river. All the sites we visited were a great feast on our eyes. The Royal Palace is a must see and give your self some extra time there. Absolutely beautiful. Bangkok was in the mist of painting, cleaning and decorating for the new King's coronation in April. Put Bangkok and Thai Sabai Life on top of your must do list.

Excelent service with the best tour guide

We had the most amazing time in Bankok with the best tour guide ever, Teera. He took us to all the most interesting places, such as The Gran Palace, the Emerald Budha, Wat Pho, the flowers market, a boat ride in the Krong Tour, an exquisit lunch at a Michelin award winning restaurant, and a very nice Thai massage. Teera and the driver picked us up in time from the port our cruise landed, and took us everywhere with a happy face and a warm smile all the time, in a very comftable van, with snacks, cool water and refreshing towels for the hot weather. At the end of the tour the company even gave us presents!!! We felt very safe at all times by hanging with Teera because he translated everything into english but dealed with all the vendors in Thai language. We highly recommend Thai Sabai Life to everyone who is looking to discover all the wonders Thailand has to offer, with a group, family, or like my husband and me, for a couples trip, who are in their honeymoon.

Perfect tour of Bangkok

We were on a cruise that allowed us time to take a day's tour of Bangkok. Using this tour provider turned out to be the perfect choice. We were picked up right on time at the pier. The van was large, clean and comfortable. The driver provided a cold bottle of water. It took a little over 2 hours to drive from the where the boat docks to Bangkok. When we arrived in Bangkok we picked up the guide, Soo. We had provided the company with the sites we wanted to see.We were able to see each site with time to spare. The quide was very nice we even took her the the Shangerla Hotel for a lunch by the river. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. The tour ended about 5 pm. The guide was dropped off in town. It took 2 hours to drive back to where the ship was docked. It was a wonderful day! If your going to Bangkok do think about using this company!

Angmo - a fabulous guide

If you only have a short time in Bangkok you want to make sure that you see al lthe main sights without wasting too much time travelling around the city from one place to the next. Angmo organised a superb day for my wife and I. We got a real feel for the city in 8 hours including visits to temples, palaces, markets and a long tailed boat trip to see the city, and life for many people, on the waterside. Angmo met us in our hotel and had a luxury van waiting outside to take us to the first stop. Miraculously the van was never more than a couple of minutes away as we came to the end of each visit ready to whisk us on tot he next stop. Each time the van had been restocked with fresh water and cold flannels which were most appreciated Angmo's English is excellent and she knows the city like the back of her hand. She is full of information about everywhere we went but also was able to give us much more general information about Thailand, the country and the people. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a guide; she will tailor the day to suit each individual and make sure you get the best out of the time available.

Still talking about it...

It’s hard to know where to begin when describing our time with Angmo...she is that good! We made a spur-of-the-moment trip to Bangkok, and were lucky enough to spend our three days there with her, in and around Bangkok and Ayutthaya. Angmo knows so much about Thai history and culture, and she easily shares her knowledge. She knows people all over, and was excited to help us experience the region in multiple ways, including tasting delicious foods and drinks. Our driver (and the vehicle was luxurious!) was always ready to go when we finished with a stop and always had cold water and towels ready for us. Most importantly, Angmo is a very kind, caring person. You can see that in the way she listens and interacts with others...we felt that we were traveling with a local friend instead of a guide, and by the end of the trip that was true.

Great tour with Jay - Keddao Anekvarangkul

Jay is one of the best tour guides we’ve had. She took us to many places in and outside of Bangkok. We went to see the tigers, rode the elephant, floating markets, risky train, and mich more. She took us to local markets to shop for items not found in touristy areas. She made us sample local food from the street vendors to a local restaurant, which was the best and most inexpensive meal we had in Thailand. She can customize your trip to whatever you prefer. Most of all, she is warm and friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed in her hometown. She gave us souvenirs and treats as well - what a sweet and thoughtful lady. If you want a fun day in Thailand, Jay will not disappoint:) Thank you Jay for fun filled memories!

One Night in Bangkok, Sounds Like A Song

My wife and I did an overnight visit to Bangkok off our cruise ship which docked in the port of Laemchabang, Thailand. It is a 2.5 hr drive to Bangkok, it was great to do it in comfort with a private driver and a very comfortable SUV. This was all part of our 1.5 day tour overnight with our Thai tour guide, Yaowarak Saithongpatigul, who we called by her nick name, Amor. We made all arrangements online and further modified our plans on arrival. Amor made sure that we did what we wanted to do with her excellent input. She made special arrangements for us including getting admission into a recommended wholesale jewellers before regular opening hours. We didn't leave empty handed! We first did the Royal Palace which was an exceptional tour of 1.5 hrs. Amore was very knowledable of the history of her country and her religion, Buddahism. I learned more from her in our short time together than the research I did prior to the trip. I have been to France a few times but never to a Michelin starred restaurant. Amir took us to one serving delicious Thai Food. We paid about the same as at hone for Thai food. After lunch we went to a local flower market where we sampled fruit and Amor gave us a floral presentation. On we went for a private boat tour on both the river and in a neighbourhood canal. We visitor Wat Pho and world famous reclining Buddah. Don't miss the temple cats. Still more with the retelling of a Thai myth performed by traditional Thai musicians and dancers. After the performance we strolled thru Chinatown, where we passed on eating bamboo worms and fried crickets. We were driven to our hotel in air conditioned comfort, where we receivrd an upgrade to a corner river view. Next morning we enjoyed our shopping experience and toured a museum filled with Asian Atiquities housed is a Elephant shape temple that towered above us. Lunch was served in garden shaded by tall trees. Then it was time to make our way back to the ship. It was like saying goodbye to a friend.

Overnight shore excursion to Bangkok

Driver and guide were on time at the port. Van was roomy, modern, and air-conditioned. Driver was very competent. Not too scary. Tour guide Teera spoke pretty good English and was helpful— especially his restaurant picks. Great Thai food. We traveled with two other couples off the ship. We were able to find very nice, very inexpensive lodging in Bangkok. The two long-tailed boat rides were wonderful. Especially enjoyed the shopping. Would highly recommend our tour.

Customized shore excursion tour....Wonderful day

We were picked up at Laem Chabang port and transported to Bangkok where we met our guide, Nathan. He took us first to a local market with food stalls where he helped us each choose something for lunch. Lunch was wonderful. Especially the mango and sticky rice which Nathan gave us all for dessert. We visited several sites, took a longtailboat ride, visited the famous flower market and ended our tour at a roof top restaurant for drinks and snacks to watch the sunset. It was a wonderful day in the city with great views, good conversations, and the chance to see and experience the local culture. It was even better as we were able to customize this tour to fit our needs. Would highly recommed Thai Sabai life for their organizational skills and prompt communication in developing the tour.

An amazomg Bangkok adventure

We were on a cruise and one of the people we befriended arranged a small tour for about 8. She arranged it with Thai Sabai Life and Nathan was our tour guide. We were picked up at the cruise terminal in a very comfortable van. We went to a market which was very interesting and a lot of fun. We walked around the market and each of us selected lunch from the various stalls. Our guide treated us to a mango and sticky rice dessert which was very tasty. After the market we went on a boat ride in the canal. It was a private boat and was also fun. We passed lovely temples along the way and stopped to feed t he fish. That was a wonderful experience too as the fish were jumping for the bread we were each provided. We toured a flower market and it was delicious. The aromas were wonderful and the artistry was amazing. We then went to a restaurant with a fabulous view to watch sunset, have some more Thai food and drink. Sunset over the canal was a treat to see. We were taken back to our ship after a very fulfilling excursion. (NOTE: if you need to use the rest room at the market, make sure to have some Thai Bhats or, if you have a guide like we did, he will take care of the fee.)

Teera was a wonderful guide

We booked this tour because we were taking our 4 children on their first Asia trip. Normally we go it on our own, but you can't plan too much with kids in tow. First we worked with Olaf to customize our trip beforehand and he was very patient and knowledgeable. Teera was our guide and he was perfect for our kids. He especially bonded quite well with our 5 year old, who now constantly asks if Teera is coming with us on the rest of our trip. Teera was able to fit our two day tour to our family's needs and was very flexible during our day. I would highly recommend Thai Sabai tours and Teera.

Fabulous way to see Bangkok!

We did the 3 day tour with angmo and it was wonderful: day 1 temples, day 2 boat ride, neighboring towns, tuktuk, lunch, day 3 tigers, floating market, lunch, and lots more! Amazing Bangkok Tour with Teera!

My family experienced an amazing two day tour of Bangkok with our tour guide Teera. On day one we visited the flower markets, Wat Pho and The Grand Palace and on day two we visited the floating market, the weekend market and Asiatique. Our guide Teera was very fun and friendly. He ensured the whole family were always enjoying themselves and encouraged us to interact with the locals and try local dishes - something we would not have been brave enough to do on our own. It was an amazing experience and one my family will never forget!

Private Bangkok Tour

On Christmas Day 2018 we (family group of 3 adults) toured the Grand Palace & Temple, Wat Pho, had lunch across the river opposite Wat Arun, took a longboat and cruised the river, and walked the fruit/veggie/flower market. Our guide spoke good English, was very engaging, efficient and accommodating. As a university graduate, she had a wealth of knowledge to share. Absolutely worthwhile day! Great day trip to to Ayutthaya

I booked this tour operator online because their tour covered all the best points of interest in Ayutthaya: Wat Pra Sri Sanphet, Wat Chai Watthanaram, Wat Mahathat, a stop in the Bang Pa In Palace on the way to Ayutthaya, mixed with a quick ride with ride in a tuk-tuk and a small boat ride around the island. I requested an additional temple visit and they were very forthcoming. What our family got for a very reasonable price was a great day with extremely nice and capable stuff. Both our guide, Jay, and our driver (I am sorry, I forgot his name) gave us the best service. Jay is an excellent guide. She knows how to organize the time. We got out of Bangkok rather quickly, which is an achievement in itself. She is very warm and helpful. We needed to get some medication in a pharmacy and she organized that in no time. I care about my travel photos and she knew all the best spots and how to frame them for us. A great guide and a really pleasant person. Thank you.

Our family truly enjoyed our two days with Angmo We were warmly greeted in the hotel by Angmo and we reviewed the events of the tour. Day one we headed to the floating markets and the train markets which were amazing! First class service all the way from the luxury van to the private boat rides. Angmo knows Thailand and provided all the information we wanted to know about Thai culture. She knew where to take us for the most delicious food and best shopping. Our second day was in the city of Bangkok where we toured the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, museum of Sirikit, famous Thai massage and so many surprises and tastes of Thailand and other visits along the way at a nice pace. Custom tour to Ampawa

My husband and I requested a private, customized evening tour to Ampawa from Bangkok that included a seafood dinner and a boat trip on the river after dark to see the famous fireflies. The tour was exactly as we requested. Our guide Ms Jay was friendly and full of information, and she did everything she could to make the tour perfect. She took us to a riverside restaurant that served delicious seafood, even helping us order from the menu that was in Thai only. She then took us to Ampawa Market, where she was efficient in hiring a boat. She accompanied us on the river tour, which was fun and fascinating, acting as guide and translator. Thai Sabai Life provided excellent service and is recommended!

Bangkok and Pattaya

Angmo & Olaf were very easy to communicate with and provided 2 excellent vehicles and drivers with a great English speaking guide in Sue. We tailored our 2 days with Sue’s suggestions and Sue was both informative and good company. Sue took us to a great restaurant in Bangkok for lunch on our first day, overall a great time and value for money compared to our cruise ships shore excursions

Bangkok Day Two-DayTour

Angmo was our guide for two days of touring Bangkok and nearby area. She left nothing to be desired - luxury van for the 4 of us, itinerary tailored to our preferences, toilet stops when necessary, lots of informative commentary. The real highlight was a visit to a Tiger Farm, where we patted and fed 2-years old tigers. I had one lie across my lap while I fed him from a bottle. This has to be the best kept secret of Bangkok. The owner is more concerned with the tigers' welfare than promoting it as a tourist facility. One of the most incredible experiences of our life. I would recommend Angmo to anyone.

Fantastic

We had such a great day with Neang. We went from the cruise terminal where the driver was waiting on the 8 of us. The van was very comfortable with the WiFi an added bonus for the teenagers in our group. Neang met us in Bangkok and we started our tour. We had already planned beforehand so everything went very smoothly. I can not recommend this company highly enough. Everything was fantastic and we even managed to squeeze in some time to visit the MBK centre for a bit. Neang was absolutely brilliant. Thank you

Everything you need wrapped up in 2 days!

We had a fabulous tour with Ling for our family of 5. It was a two day tour that I scheduled from home directly with the company and I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service we received with responding to my many emails with lots of questions. Olaf is awesome! Anyway, our cruise ship was in port for 2 days and Ling picked us up at the terminal right on time, with a nice driver and a very clean large van for the 5 of us. It was a private tour and it takes awhile to get anywhere from the port. Our first day was to Pattaya where we went to the Sanctuary of Truth, rode elephants at a different location and finished up the day at the floating market. She made sure we always had time to either shop, get water and ask questions. Everything was very easy. She explained everything in just the right amount of detail and my three adult daughters loved her. She made sure we tasted authentic food and timed everything perfectly. On day 2 we were picked up at 6am at the terminal and went into Bangkok. She made sure she asked us what we wanted to do the day before so she could line it all up. It's a long ride into the touristy part of the city, but she explained stuff as we drove and pointed out different things along the way. Went to the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, had Thai Iced Tea, ate an authentic meal at Hometown Cafe and did some shopping before heading back. The temples are busy so don't think you'll have the place to yourself. Lots of tourists everywhere! They dropped us off at just the right time. It was a fantastic two day tour and I'd highly recommend it. The customer service is awesome and makes you feel very comfortable from the day you send your first email. It's a must do and don't waste your time looking anywhere else!

A MUST - Authentic Bangkok Experience in One Day

We were only in Bangkok for two days as we were passing through to other cities, but wanted to see as much as possible in those two days and this was definitely the way to do it! Tommy was INCREDIBLE! He took us to places we would never have been able to find on our own and explained everything that we were seeing. He would stop at local food vendors when he saw something we might like and we tried things that we had never seen before and probably wouldn't have tried on our own because we didn't know what they were. We loved that he was fast paced when we wanted to be but thorough at the same time. He took the time to take us the local flower market before the temples so that we would have offerings and explained the meanings of the statues around the temples and the rituals within. He also made sure to stop at photo ops to take pictures of both of us (which we never remember to do) and sent the pictures to us before we were even back to the hotel. It was a HOT day and Tommy seemed to know exactly when we needed a break from the heat and found an air-conditioned detour for a few minutes (whether a museum or shop). After the temple tour, he brought us way back to a restaurant we would have NEVER found on our own (no less known what to order). Tommy ordered for us and the food was the most amazing, authentic Thai! Tommy knew it was our last day in Bangkok and made sure to squeeze in SO MUCH - even when it came to transportation he got us a ride on a tuk tuk and a long boat. Highly highly recommend! THIS TOUR IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Guide Jay is absolutely fantastic! She was engaging and very knowledgeable, explaining the significance of the temples, the Buddhas and the traditions surrounding them. Most importantly she went the extra mile finding the right Buddhas to "rent" that were blessed by the temple, making them especially important for my Buddhist wife. Jay was calling around and even walked out of stores she thought were too commercial and didn’t have the sanctified Buddhas. She found the shop at a temple we had not visited- literally going out of her way for us. She gave to my wife her own string bracelet, and the driver offered her his own bead necklace. The driver was top caliber (as was his van). In addition to offering his necklace, he was always right were he needed to be- no wasted time waiting. There was a cooler with cold drinks inside, a very nice touch on a hot day. Jay got us in the temples without getting stuck in lines and strategically avoided the crowds and traffic. What a wonderful day!!

We had a beautiful day with our tour guide Peach. I've learned a lot about the thai culture and I will never forget this impressing day. We wouldn't have made it thru our day without Peach. Thanks a lotÜ

Private Tour with Peach

Miss Peach was a fabulous guide for our 1 day in Bangkok. She met us at our ship and covered many more highlights than we expected. She surprised us with a stop by the flower market and presented us with fragrant floral bracelets to enjoy for the day and a lesson in lotus folding. Her knowledge of the history and cultural was extensive and she pointed out may details of what we were seeing. We enjoyed a Chao Phraya River fast boat through the canals and thrilled at feeding catfish in front of a temple along the way. She thoughtfully took many pictures throughout the day and sent them via an email link. She was aware of the timing of the larger tour groups and planned accordingly to avoid crowds. She coordinated beautifully with the driver and our day flowed smoothly. "Peachy Peach" as she referred to herself at the end of the day, was not only an excellent guide but felt like a new friend. Our tour through our ship was canceled 36 hours before we arrived in Bangkok and we felt so fortunate to be with Peach and know we had a more personal and in-depth experience of Bangkok. Bangkok Tour

Angmo gave me and my family a wonderful day tour around Bangkok. We were picked up from Laem Chabang port where Angmo's driver was ready and waiting for us as we exited our ship. The mini bus we were provided with was very comfortable with nice big roomy seats. Angmo was wonderful, I contacted her prior to our trip as my mum has walking difficulties so we needed a trip with plenty of places for my mum to sit down and rest and Angmo delivered this, she made sure we visited sites with plenty of seating areas and walked slowly so my mum could keep up. Angmo was very knowledgeable and we found the sites we visited fascinating. As we only had the day in Bangkok we would definitely like to return for longer next time and will be using Angmo's services again as we couldn't fault the wonderful day she gave us.
