Tom was an exceptional guide!! We were running late and he waited for us. Such a polite and kind person. He took us around old town stopping at many landmarks! The flower market was the best!! He allowed us plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the food vendors along the market. This is a must tour if you enjoy biking and some adventure!! Our favorite tour in Bangkok!!! 10 stars from me!! Thank you Tom for great memories.

Away from the heat

Fun, active, learned a lot

We had a lovely tour guide Tom. Small group, just me, my partner, and one other guest. The bike ride was wild, definitely could not have crossed those big roads or found those small alleys without Tom. Learned a lot about Bangkok’s history, religious customs, and modern day life. The street food Tom bought for us was delicious!

You have to do this trip. If you can ride a bike, you need to book.

Super enjoyable - the tour was adjusted to suit our riding ability, which resulted in more experienced level of riding that had some super fun challenging back alley riding. The whole tour was a highlight of our trip and highly recommend!

Terrible. Worse tour guide ever. Very disappointing. My wife was injured due to the incompetence of the tour guide.

The tour guide was very much engaged and friendly and could tell interesting stories, although Sometimes a bit difficult to understand. All in all, I ask myself if it was really worth the money...?? Wolfgang

I would like to start saying I had an amazing bicycle tour with Bett. He is an amazing tour person and very knowledgeable. Since I had been eating a lot during my trip in Thailand. I normally do not spend time on reviewing but I would like to recommend this all who would like to experience Thailand by bike. My guide Seen is exceptional, honestly he is the best guide I ever met. He treated me like a friend and shared with me lots of real stories about this city and country. Also he told stories in a calm and friendly way, I felt not like a pure tourist but a friend. I also enjoyed some street food that I never tried, and all his recommendations were very delicious. I think nighttime is a great timing to explore the busy city. Less traffic and you can see the city in different lens. Worth to say the itinerary is well planned and include lots of key landmarks and real historical sites. In the end of the trip, I was holding the cash and thought shall I tip my lovely guide. I thought he 100% deserves it but I didn’t want to change the friendly vibes. I will post you a gift from Queenstown New Zealand as you are a real friend to me after this riding trip Seen - you are the best and I hope you and your family full of love joy and happiness. To one of the angles in the city - my guide Seen thank you :)

The trip and really a nice way to explore Bangkok and see a different side of things. We felt safe at all times and our leader was very attentive.

Biking through Bangkok

If you want a super fun tour of Bangkok then highly recommend this tour especially with Tik! He really made this tour super fun. He went above and beyond taking pictures for us, letting us try the local food, explaining all the sights. Highly recommend if you want something fun and active to do!

Great experience!

One of my favorite excursion when we went to Bangkok. Our guide was knowledgeable and interactive. Our group had a great time! Definitely be ready to peddle thru narrow streets.

This was our favorite activity in Bangkok. Navigating traffic and back alleys was intimidating at first, but I feel like we got a glimpse of the life of a local. This paired with an education on Thailands history and its culture, made for a perfect introduction to our amazing vacation. I would put this on a must do list for anyone visiting Bangkok.

A Bike Ride to Remember

Enjoyed the alleyways and the scenic spots which would have been difficult access without the bike ride. The tour guide THAM was excellent and well experienced. Definitely recommended to any bike enthusiasts.

Sooo Much Fun!

My husband and I took this tour and happened to be the only ones on it, probably since it was in the middle of the virus epidemic. We had a blast! What fun riding a bike through Bangkok. We stopped at the market and were able to taste some delicious food: chicken meatballs, grilled chicken, and sticky rice that was fantastic. We went to Wat Arun to see it at night and I found it looked so much more impressive at night. He took us inside Wat Pho to look around after dark and how wonderful to experience it at night by ourselves. He explained some of the drawings and buddha's we saw which we were unaware of. Whether you do this tour or another one, I am sure you will not regret it. Thank you so much for a fabulous time.

Great Experience!

Could not have had a better experience with Woody! While we had seen some of the sites earlier in the day- at night they were spectacular. Our guide Woody was exceptionally knowledgeable and a great story teller, not to mention an insider on the best food carts. Loved it immensely.

Excellent

We went on the Night Bike Tour tonight and really enjoyed it. Our guide Golf was so friendly and informative and he had a great sense of humour. This is our second visit to Bangkok and it is so different visiting the temples in the evening - they are so quiet and in a way even more stunning lit up in the dark. Crossing the Chaopraya river at sunset was delightful. We visited the flower market, (who knew there was such an etiquette regarding which flower to give on which occasion!) and had some snacks which we were really ready for. The 3.5 hours passed really quickly.Once we got back to the shop a Golf ensured that we had a taxi back to our hotel for us. I would highly recommend this tour for people of all ages and cycling abilities.

Bike tour

An all round awesome trip. From start to finish all the staff were friendly and more than helpful. Great way to see the top attractions of Bangkok. We did this at the beginning of our trip so it gave us a good look into the areas and things we wanted to visit to explore further over the rest of our stay in Bangkok.

Great thing to do in Bangkok!

We really enjoyed this bike tour around Bangkok. It wasn't too busy, so we felt safe riding on the road. We went to see the temples & palace as well as the flower market. We also ate some street food which was very tasty. Overall we found this a great thing to do & would recommend to anyone.

Enjoy Bangkok by night on a bike

Our tour with Kan as our guide was one of the best experiences in Bangkok. It seems a bit surreal to bike in Bangkok at night, but everything was fine, we felt safe, we saw places we would never have seen if not on a bike, and the tempels are a whole new experience with lights on in the quiet evening. Absolutely recommended.

Fantastic Time with Tammy on the night time bike tour

What an amazing experience. The bike ride was most enjoyable, you get to ride along the narrow backstreets of Bangkok going to places where you would never plan to walk. The bikes were perfect for the job, very light hybrids, great condition, comfortable handles and seats. Its great that they have these high quality bikes as some places you end up with sore hands and a sore bottom, these bikes have a very good and soft suspension system also. We went specifically on valentines day so the flower market was an amazing experience to see all the flowers and vegetables there. We also got the chance to taste some of the amazing street food in the flower market. The temples at night was amazing and totally different to seeing it in the day, firstly alot less people and a more comfortable environment as its alot cooler at night. Tammy also came to the rescue when one of the tour group had a flat tyre and within five minutes had the new tube changed and we were on our way again. I would highly recommend this tour but stay safe as some areas the roads can be quite busy. Also I would suggest to have some experience with riding a bike as your balancing and cornering skills will be tested in the narrow, dark, acute alley ways which makes the whole experience more worth while. Highly recommend, bring a small bag and carry a camera as you will have plenty of opportunity to take some fantastic photos of the temple at night with no crowds. I would definitely do this again.

Phenomenal ride with Woody!

We had a great bike ride with Woody! Full of information, humor and lively energy. 10/10 would do it again! Night time is also great, as everything is far less crowded and beautifully lit.

Wonderful bike riding tour(Bett)

Tammy was an amazing guide for our Bangkok Night Bike Tour

One of the best bike tours we have been on! Tammy was our guide and she was so personable and fun to be with. We loved winding through all the little alleyways and streets to see a side of Bangkok that you would otherwise miss. She was very knowledgeable about all of the sights we visited, and on top of everything else, we got to sample some delicious street food handpicked by Tammy! Definitely a "don't miss" activity! I wish I had done it at the start of my trip!

It's a great way to get your bearings in the city and showed me areas I might never have found on my own. You start at Grasshoppers offices - their communications before you get there are excellent. The bike is a fairly standard issue trail bike - mine was well maintained and a quick saddle adjustment was all that was needed. We were a group of 10 (4 of us had come alone) led by a single guide who navigated us through the busy early roads before taking us down a number of narrow back allies where the only hazard was the occasional tight turn. The ride takes a ferry crossing. There are two temple visits which are stunningly beautiful and peaceful after the daytime crowds have left. And the wholesale flower market was utterly stunning - it doesn't feature in many of the guidebooks and was really beautiful and exciting. A nice international group and a helpful guide. Excellent value and a great was to get a feel for the city.

Nighttime in Bangkok is Gorgeous

We had the pleasure of taking this tour with our guide Bett. The bikes and helmets were in proper order and we were measured on the bikes for a proper fit before we left for the tour. Headlight and taillights in each bike made the dark streets safer. What an adventure! The views were intoxicating as were the sounds and smells. The temples were beautiful in the evening light. The all-night flower market is something everyone has to see. Bett gave us samples of some of the exotic fruits available and we were even given chicken and sticky rice as well. Delish. I haven’t been on a bike for many years so some of the tight corners in back alleyways gave me a bit of trouble. Bett was patient and good humored with our small group. He was very knowledgeable about the royal family and Thai history. We were hot but each bike had a water bottle for our use. Remember to bring a light scarf or sweater to cover shoulders at the temple. Highly recommend!

Great evening tour

This was a great evening bike tour. To help you decide if this is for you based on my personal experience: -I think you should be comfortable riding a bike. I haven’t rode a bike in like 15 years so I was really wobbly and had to focus on not crashing into parked cars vs enjoying the sites. If you’re like my husband who rides bikes regularly, he had a great time and was able to ride his bike AND look at the temples and landmarks we were passing. I enjoyed it too tho! - it’s a good activity for your first night in town when you’re trying to beat jet lag. We landed at 4pm and were sooooo tired but went on the bike tour and that helped keep us awake. Tour guide was great, you see amazing things at night and go through back alleys so you’ll see a lot of Bangkok. I definitely recommend

Very informative and great way to get around the busy city!

When I first arrived to Bangkok I was overwhelmed with the size and amount of people. The Night Bike tour was perfect and fun way learn about the city and figure out what as going on. Our Guide Golf was Fantastic!! He kept us safe and told us many facts about Thai history, blended religion and culture. He was a former monk and gave us many insights on the life of a local. We have so much fun getting to learn about the Wats (temples) we visited as well as stopping for street food snacks while at the market. THANK YOU GOLF!!

Very recommended

It was a very fun and educative tour around bangkok. The tour guide gave a great explanation about the 2 temples and the flower market. When it began to rain, he provided us a raincoats. So he's prepared. So highly recommended to the people who haven't tried this tour before. And it was very safe to do.

Enjoyable view of city

A fairly leisurely ride around the city- some main traffic streets but mostly side streets and alleyways waving to children & crossing canals. Crossed River by ferry and visited Wat Pho & Wat Arun as well as the flower market. Mountain bike tyres takes care of the ruts& bumps. Only criticism was no consideration made of our dietary requests of vegetarian when we got to the street food section. Barbecued pork & rice on offer.

It was really interesting tour!

I had fun with guide Woody. It was the first time to join the city cycle tour program and night bike tour following the guide route. When we arrive at the attractions in Bangkok, The tour guide explains the history of the tourist spot in detail. At that time, the cycle was Merida brand suspension embedded one, feel safe & comfortable, and enjoy the landscape of diversity of Bangkok.

A very different view of Bangkok

I signed up for a private tour so I could go at my pace (fast on the bike, slow when taking pictures). If you are comfortable riding at nights on city streets and alleyways, this is a unique way to explore some of the major tourist attractions while avoiding the tourists. At night, Wat Arun and Wat Pho have a small set of people visiting the sites since the inside building is closed. No merchants selling stuff, no big tours with guide holding a flag up. Very peaceful. My guide, Seen (?), was great. I told him last time I went to Wat Pho I loved seeing all the cats outside so as we rode along he pointed to all the cats along the way. He also seems to have a gift for getting the attention of bats (he loved bats like I loved cats :) ). Small dinner at outside market was fun and tasty. Instead of traveling busy streets, my guide found all the back alleys and bike paths. Finally, a bike guide who rode fast enough for me (I'm sure he would go slowly as well but I told him up front he should go as fast as he wanted).

Great tour, below average tour guide

I am an experienced cyclist, and I have used Grasshopper Adventures a few times in Southeast Asia, and always been very happy with their services. I took the Bangkok Night Bike Tour, and was not happy. The route is wonderful, and the bicycles are of excellent quality. You are equipped with a helmet, lights, and water bottle. However, this tour was marketed for novice level cyclists. And it is, as long as the guide is paying attention, and vigilant for traffic. Which ours was not. Our tour guide was "Al", and he was not great. - Because it is a night tour, in low-traffic areas, kittens dart out in the dimly lit alleyways- someone in my group nearly hit one twice! A simple "watch out for kittens" , or "watch out for this pothole", would have been helpful! - The guide, Al, regularly cycled far ahead, leaving one cyclist, who had NO ROAD EXPERIENCE, far behind on quite a busy road. I felt responsible for this person's safety, which made it difficult to enjoy parts of the tour for myself. It was no mean's this person's fault - this tour is marketed to novice cyclers, and the guide should have been vigilant. That is literally their job. (Also, weirdly, we were told we would break for street snacks and fruit, but we just had a measly chicken skewer and continued on our way). I will continue to recommend Grasshopper Adventures, and will continue to use them, however I am very disappointed in the level of knowledge, safety, and general care and enthusiasm that our guide displayed on this tour.

Wonderful night to explore the real Bankok by Bike

I did the Bankok night bike tour on my first day. This is very special way to discover Bankok. You ride bike through the backstreets and alleys where you can see the local relaxing in front of their house after work, or you can smell the flavor of dinner while passing by local houses. I met a lot of friendly home cats on the way. Visiting outside Wat Pho and Wat Arun at night is the good way to escape the tourists from daytime. Those pogodas seemed to slpeeing, very peaceful at night. The night flower market was very colorful and quite busy with locals, theey made a lot beautiful flower shape for workshiping. It was the highlight.I also loved the grilled pork and the coconut pancake. So tasty ! Thank you Teak, my guide on that day. I all love to hear your stories about Bankok and anther things. Highly recommend this tour !

Excellent Bike Tour

We had Tick as our guide. We were a groip of 4 with one novice which was accommodated well. Flower market, temples, and feed along the way. Interesting cycling down the small alleys seeing how locals live. The night ended with a big thunder lightening storm. Informative and fun. Definitely recommend.

The best tour ever

I went to Bangkok as a first time with my boyfriend has been there almost five times. Tom guided us, he seem definitely professional guide. He explained everything even history well, made us comfortable as well. It was special experience for me, even my boyfriend mentioned it was the most exciting tour he has got in Bangkok. There’s one sad thing was I didn’t have any cash at the time so I couldn’t give tips for him. Must try in BKK. Especially night time, much cooler, less traffic, extremely wonderful sightseeing.

Bangkok Night Cycle Tour

Grasshopper were amazing! We got stuck in traffic and thought we were going to have to abandon the tour. They recommend giving yourself an hour for traffic but we needed almost 2 hours to get there from across town. However, Grasshopper were incredibly accommodating and communicated with us throughout the traffic jam via email. The tour was excellent, truly the best part of our holiday thus far! They were well organised, the bikes were the right size and well serviced. We loved getting to see the true Bangkok, the residential alleys, ferry, the Wats at night and the local hotspots. Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic! He answered all of our questions, was personable, friendly, polite and introduced us to many new fruits - we highly recommend the mini pineapples! We would definitely do it again.

Awesome night tour with Tom

What a great way to see Bangkok. Tom is a great guide with so much interesting information at all the stops. Tom also took us out for a longer time because we had showed up at the office early. Definitely would recommend this tour to eveyone.

Female solo Traveller

It was just awesome! The perfect way to see the city in a completely different way. Our guide was lovely and I met some awesome people there. Highly recommended for solo travellers!

Nice to see Bangkok at night

We really enjoyed our bike ride at night. The guide was very kind and attentive to the needs of our group and we felt secure at all time. We enjoyed to see some venues with not so many visitors around and take pictures of the sites at night.

Surreal and Perfect

Did a similar tour with Grasshopper in Phnom Phen and enjoyed it, so signed up for this one in Bangkok. Again, I was not disappointed, with our guide, Tammy, doing everything right in leading us (nine in total) around Bangkok at night, no easy feat. The whole thing was rather surreal, taking place on the night before the King's Coronation, with the city decorated accordingly. Yet still we saw the real side too, weaving our way though alleyways and backroads to find tranquility in surprisingly empty temples, devoid of tourists, but overflowing with emotion. Traveling around somewhere new on a bicycle is my favorite thing to do, from Cambodia to Indonesia to Thailand. I would recommend this tour to anyone, and will myself be looking forward to another adventure with Grasshopper wherever I travel to next...
