Bangkok Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Tour

Very interesting tour of Bangkok’s most treasured sites

Nikki was our knowledgeable guide and we were lucky that it was just my husband and I on the tour. She was an excellent guide, teaching us about the Grand Palace and Temples and the meaning behind the art and architecture. It was very hot and she made sure we were as comfortable as possible with water and cooling cloths. Highly recommend!

Very (too!) speedy tour

Sunday was a very pleasant young man and told us a lot about the history and culture associated with the Grand Palace. However we were with a younger couple and quite often he marched ahead talking to them so we didn’t hear what he had to say about various artefacts. And he did not give us time to stop and take photos. I felt like he was on the clock the whole time (he probably was, as there was a 10am tour). Viator, don’t expect your guides to route march people around such beautiful sites, give them time to let us appreciate them!

Go in cool weather

The Palaces were breathtaking,.magnificent. our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable. But the tour was conducted outside - not inside the buildings as I had anticipated - and it was a scorching 40 deg - made our experience terribly uncomfortable..I absolutely recommend going in cool weather.

Grand Palace / Emerald Buddha Tour

Grand Palace was beautiful. Lovely architecture. Nikki out Tour Guide took nice care of us and gave us an excellent tour.

Missed the tour…wasn’t...

Missed the tour…wasn’t able to find the meeting place…confusing or lack of proper directions…!!! So no highlights to share…😖

Great start to my first trip to Thailand

Great location to visit with a lot of great picture opportunities. Rampai, our tour guide, spoke great English and was very knowledgeable about everything on the tour. Definitely learned a lot throughout the tour and Rampai also pointed out great places for pictures and to avoid the large crowd. Would recommend this tour

Amazing guide with a passion for history and culture, and a great skill for sharing those with people. The locations are also very beautiful.

Missed Opportunity

The instructions said in terms of focus meet at the Golden Palace but what I means is get dropped off at the Golden Palace and go back behind it about 100yards. We arrived there and were trying to find the group and eventually the guide stopped talking to me. Poor communication. I run a tour group and will not do this again. I can’t rate the experience because we didn’t get to use it

The guide didn't show up...

The guide didn't show up but said they did. I got billed for it and was told I didn't qualify for a refund. Very disappointed, as I had used Viator before and it was great. After this, however, never again.

Excellent tour

Our guide, Tak, was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and personable. We had a small group of four, Tak gave us stimulating tour. Recommended

Total waste of money

We were at the staring location provided early, but it was so vague, amongst many other tour parties, that it was impossible to identify our tour group. We ended up getting our own private tour of the Palace at half the Viator price. That was wonderful and to be strongly recommended. Don’t bother with Viator for this location.

Great tour which didnt last too long

The guide was amazing and had a great energy. He explained a lot about the palace and how it came to be. Also, he makes killer photos and makes sure everyone feels comfortable as Bangkok can get quite hot.

A good time

This was an unplanned surprise that turned out to be one of our favorite tours. We enjoyed our tour and had a nice relaxing time while seeing and experiencing Bangkok.

Fun canal tour to see the temple and Buddha statue

I had a really great experience with the canal tour. Joyc was a great tour guide and always made sure to answer our questions and make sure we were all comfortable.

Interesting tour

Friendly and informative guide. Beautiful place. Tour started and ended on time. Bring your umbrella on sunny days, the heat can get unbearable sometimes

Pas du tout d organisation. Point de rendez vous très dure à trouver. J ai du coup rater le départ et du faire moi-même les visites. Ce quii n etait pas plus mal au final. Une visite à faire par soi-même.
