Sam was such a patient, funny and kind guide. He gave us so many fun facts about the country, cracked some jokes and was very punctual about time. I would highly recommend this tour

Great Experience, great guide.. SAM!

The paddleboat market was a true highlight. The train market was quite crowded but still interesting. Our guide, Sam, was absolutely terrific. Some of the fellow members of the tour group were late in returning from a free period… don’t do that! … which messed up our final return drop off point. Sam went the extra mile to make sure we all knew where to go snd how to get back to our hotels. In addition he provided great commentary during the whole trip. All in all, an exotic and wonderful experience.

Amazing day and experience when in Bangkok!

We had a great day in total! Pick-up was easy and a big air-conditioned bus drove us to the train market which was an amazing experience. We saw the train twice and spent there around 45 minutes to stroll once back and down. The second stop, the floating market as well an amazing experience, we strolled around and then had a very relaxing boat ride included. The end point being at ICON Siam was actually really good, we explored a different area, went to Mil Toast House there and then took the boat back directly at the river. We had a great tour guide, Tammy was so knowledgeable, took care without rushing and told us funny additional stories about Thailand!

Nice trip but even greater Tour Operator and Tour Guide

Ok so we noticed we won't be on time on the airport if we do the full trip and organizers helped us a lot to finish all the attractions and be on the airport on time. Special thanks to Tammy, she is the best guide tour ever and helped us also a lot during a tour!

Haggle and float day out not to be missed

The trip to the train market & the floating market will stay with us for a long time. Our guide Kimmy was exceptional. The air con'd bus ride was and hour+ to the train but it flew past with his snippets of information & instructions about the market.... stand behind the red ine when the train is coming !!! Haggle !!!! etc. We had a fantastic time at the train market shopping - the best value of any place we've been in Thailand yet. The smells are a bit whiffy - lots of fish on sale - but the sights & sounds are mesmerising, and the sight of the train coming through was just incredible. I was expecting a small touristy train, it was a full sized train, the full width of the street, we had to step into one of the shops to save our toes! Then it was a short spin to the floating market. The market wasn't in full swing as it was midweek, but there was enough going on to get a sense of the spectacle. We had lunch there and for 150 thai bhat (€3) we had lunch for 2 with drinks, and it was delicious. It's a little expensive to shop there, but the haggle is great craic and sight has to be seen. Kimmy dropped us off at the ICON Siam shopping mall for the evening and that too was a sight to behold, the lights & music show on the fountains at 7pm was a terrific finish to an amazing day.

Not worth the long day

The tour guide was rude as hell before we even got on the bus, the bus itself was nice. The train market is pretty disgusting the smells are awful and it’s packed with tourists, not worth the drive in my opinion I wouldn’t recommend it. The floating markets were better a lot more chill and time to wander around before getting on the boat but the sellers there are extremely pushy to the point one woman was grabbing my arm in the store trying to force me not to leave and all the stores are selling the exact same things. Wouldn’t really recommend this tour

Convenient transportation to awesome attractions, boat ride was a rip off

Great value for the places visited. Nam our guide was friendly, funny and really great. Bus ride was comfortable though would have opted for a smaller group (we were 30). The train stop was awesome and scary at first, didn't realize how close you would get. the only reason this trip really missed expectations was for the floating market. I thought we would spend 30-45 minutes. Really it was 15minutes making 1 "block" around what was 1 market canal and 3 residential/undeveloped canals. Felt like a rip off (granted the boat is a 3rd party that was just hired for our group). We all got off asking "that's it?". Would recommend to the tour operator here to secure a better boat company for a full circuit of the floating market. We didn't even have a chance to buy anything as it was over before we knew it.

The Guide (Sam) even made the Bus drive entertaining, everything was clear and work outed smoothly - great activity for half a day,

Traveling with kids

A was a great tour guide. Very fun and knowledgeable. He shared some delicious fruits with us, which my kids loved. A wonderful experience and definitely recommend.

Great all in one tour

We originally wanted to see only the floating market, but decided to opt for this tour that including visiting the train station and market. We are super glad we did it. It was a comfortable ride with the interesting guide Num. She was a source of the valuable and fun information. The included boat ride in the floating market was a great bonus. All in all, great way to see both and not break a bank.

A fun and entertaining tour

The tour guide, "Mr A" did a fantastic job brining the tour alive, adding a touch of fun and giving the group insights into the railway markets and the floating markets.

lovely half day trip

really lovely half day tour. the train market is really nice + the floating market is gorgeous. the bus ride is comfortable+doesnt take too long. the guide was great too. theres enough time to explore the markets+ also to get a first impression of the rural areas outside bangkok.

What a wonderful tour, out guide "A" was awesome, so funny and explained everything fully, really enjoyed his commentary. The railway & floating markets were amazing, so glad we chose to experience this as will always remember. A definite 10/10 tour.

Rainy, Late, but Good!

We did enjoy the tour. The driver & tour guide were 1 hour late, rain & wrong hotel was the issue. Floating Market- we wished it was longer, it was about 35 minutes, we didn’t make any stops, in hindsight, you need to ask the driver to stop. DO NOT hold the loris monkey, adorable but have fleas. We were offered lunch but declined. Train Market was a 20 minute stop. The train goes thru every 2 hrs, we got to the station just in time to see it. It was pretty fun to see it. They dropped us off at the weekend market, which was wonderful & may have been out of the way. Our guide was pleasant but gave us little information about each location, history etc. We needed to ask questions in order to learn.

Floating market ok, train market skip it

Floating market, if you can, book a trip with less people. I was long time ago in a van and I liked very much more than this one. Besides, the train market tries to be someway similar to the ones in India, but this experience is a little bit forced trying to copy the indian's market.

Floating and train market tour

This was a great way to see traditional Thailand markets, though now these exist for tourists. I’d still recommend this tour to anyone visiting. Jimmy was a wonderful guide, he made the day funny and organized despite the packed schedule!

Good tour for the railway market

Our guide "A" was an excellent tour guide. The tour consisted of the railway market, which was interesting, and the floating market, which was marginal at best. Perhaps it was a thriving market a long time ago, but now it's somewhat desolated. Guide "A", however, made the tour fun and lively, bringing the entire experience up a notch. Hope you get him as the guide.

Great experience and organization

We liked both the railroad market and the floating market. Tammy was very well organized and kept a strict eye on the time. I strongly recommend this experience.

Enjoyable experience

Our tour guide A was enthusiastic and extremely friendly. He made the tour enjoyable and many laughs about his stories. I liked how it was a “tour” but essentially we had our own separate space and time to do things. I learned a lot about Thailand history which made the bus ride to the market fast

Well organized and worth visiting

Our guide Tammy was very organized and gave us a lot of information. The train market was very nice with good products and good prices and the floating market was interesting to see.

Great trip but felt rushed

The bus picked us up on time and we left on time for the railway market. The first stop felt a bit rushed as the market was very busy and some extra time would have been nice since we had to cross the market to catch the train. The floating market was also a nice experience but again felt a bit rushed at times. We managed to grab some nice souvenirs at a good price and had the best mango sticky rice so far. Definitely an experience worth doing and better done with a tour since the location is a bit far from Bangkok centre.

Lovely to walk along train track & get train but would have liked more time there. Floating market enough time but so many boats, one big traffic jam until get away from the main part.

Great guide, interesting train market

Our guide Tammy was excellent and really made the trip memorable with her management of the large (42 people) group and engaging information about Thai culture. The train market was very crowded but interesting, the floating market not much more than tourist tat.

Very well organized trip with prompt adherence to the published schedule. The tour guide Mr A was hilarious and one of the best I've seen. Highly recommended, especially the railway market. The floating market boat ride felt a tad short, but I also felt it to be a bit of a tourist trap with a traffic jam of boats in the canals

Purchase this tour and be dropped off miles from where expected.

Rude and over crowded. We were especially upset about the tour ending miles from the pickup location and we were on our own to locate and pay for a ferry ride and find the sky train and hope we were getting off at the correct station. We’re sure it would be simple if you had made the trip a couple of times and spoke the language. But it was totally uncomfortable for us.

A really good day out, definitely recommend it

It was all really good my only criticism was being dropped off so far from the hotel on our return, I would prefer to pay a little more for the trip and have a lift back to the hotel. The tour guide (A) was brilliant

Awesome day

This was an awesome experience!! A was an incredible guide, he even came back with water for us after the railway market which was MUCH needed and some local snacks! My favorite part was definitely the floating market! Make sure to try the coconut ice cream!

Not comprehensive

We couldn’t take this tour because they change our flight and should go for emergency to the airport. I request a refund, I knew they couldn’t refund all because we request for pick up, but they could be more comprehensive and refund a part of it, since the lunch is not even included.

Superb organisation from the beginning to the end. The Guide A was AMAZING, so helpful, so friendly, plenty of knowledge, his information was so great. Also, A was so funny, always the smile. The pick up was very good, easy to find, the snacks were great and not expecting . The bottle of water nice and cold after the train trip was so great. The floating market was very well organised, i am so glad that I did this tours, there was no way that i found all by my self. A great day

Great choice!

My son and I enjoyed our visit to the floating and train market. Our host AK was very knowledgeable and made the entire experience fun and also gave insight on Thai culture. If I visit Bangkok again, I will for sure book this excursion again!

Fast pace

This excursion was fast pace and did not get to enjoy it as much we would have like. The tour guide was awesome and informative.

Very good half day activity, visiting train market and floating market. You could buy souvenirs or try coconut ice cream. Mr A did excellent job keeping track of a bigger group.

Iconsian has a BTS station just outside

We had a full bus with A as our guide. The pickup was very easy at McDonalds and Robinson. We arrived at 8:48 and almost everyone was already there with the guide. You can walk downstairs into TOPS for quick access to an inexpensive hot breakfast, bathroom and water for the trip. The Maeklong train market was crowded with visitors and had about 40 minutes to walk through it to get to the opposite end which was the train station. While walking through the market, you can find bathroom signs which cost 5 baht. You'd board the train and get off at the first stop to continue with your tour group. A provided us bottled water at this point. The floating market was also crowded with people and boats. We enjoyed the experience but it did seem rushed. The tour ended at Iconsiam shopping center which has plenty of food options and the largest starbucks. We were a little worried about getting back to Asok but it turned out to be simple. The mall elevator had two floors marked as BTS access floors. We got off on one of the BTS floors and walked outside mall and the Charoen Nakhon BTS station (G2) was right there. We took the BTS to Krung Thon Buri (G1) and it connected to the rest of BTS. We'd recommend this excursion. It was fun.

Interesting experience at both markets.

‘A’our guide was very informative & helpful. The Railway market was interesting. We enjoyed the short train ride. The floating market was also interesting albeit chaotic on the canal with all the longboats pushing & shoving their way through. One passenger got very wet when an empty motorised longboat went speeding past.

Allow a full day, and plenty of delays

40+ people on a large coach that couldn’t do u-turns on a public holiday was a bit much. Late departures every stop On a positive - guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. We missed the train so had to view the afternoon one. We had 30 mins on the floating market which differed to other companies hour. Cold water provided and A/C transport. Dropped in the middle of no where when back in city. Took me an extra 30 mins to get back to hotel. The tour is cheap enough, but disorganized at the port. Had to wait ages for 7 boats to show up and take us

Visiting the floating market

Unforgettable place!! Its worth to go there. Puddle boat is best experience of the trip! Noodles soup is recommended to try and coconut pan cake is super delicious 😋😋😋
