This is the second tour we have done with this company, the first was about two years ago in Phuket and it was fantastic. So we had high expectations here, and they were met. Our tour guide was Kwan and Peng was assisting her were fantastic. Both friendly, knowledgeable and spoke great English. We had some amazing food both from street stalls and inside smaller restaurants. I personally would not feel comfortable eating at some of these places because of stories about food safety etc - however Kwan obviously knows what she is doing and we both had no issues. Just go, have an open mind and have a great night. It's good fun.

Fantastic tour and so much food!

Fantastic tour sampling so much food! We tried over 15 dishes and all were delicious! Fon our guide was fantastic. Super friendly, kept a good pace to the tour and spoke great English to explain all the dishes we were trying. Great food tour of Chinatown, not only on the Main Street but also the back alleys too. Highly recommend!

Ate some of the best food in Bangkok!

Bangkok has so much to offer, but the plethora of choice can be a bit overwhelming. This was the perfect tour to get the best of what Chinatown has to offer. We tried 20 different things and we 100% never would have found half of them otherwise. Tried some of the best food we had in Thailand. Being in a small group was also really nice. You should do this tour!

Delicious Enlightening Evening Do Not Miss!

Fantastic tour with Annie. She is such a joyful and vibrant guide who generously shared abundant, locals only knowledge that I would have had to live here for years to figure out and understand. So many dishes we lost count and the generous portions were over the top! Delightful evening traipsing around Chinatown streets and back alleys, tasting the best of the best, savoring every morsel of food and tidbit of golden cultural enlightenment. Thank you to our guide and prep team who made sure we were extremely well taken care of! Unforgettable evening, not to be missed tour!

Fantastic food tour!

Fabulous tour led by the amazing Annie who ensured we all had a great time and tried so much tasty food. Some of our group were repeat customers, which says it all - if we’re ever back in Bangkok, we’d definitely do it again. We had a lot of fun, so many dishes (don’t eat before you come!) and lots of interesting information from Annie. Thank you Annie for looking after us all so well and making it such a great experience!

The tasting tour has been excellent. I am not one to do this type of tour but I was surprised by the variety and good quality food i tasted. The guide was really helpful as for the info and details regarding each visited stand as well as each recipe.

Brilliant!

Absolutely brilliant. The food part of the tour was great, but it was the "tour" part that made it amazing. Half the time I felt like I was walking through a movie. The back streets, the hole in the wall secrets, the vibrant and vivid imagery - it's a brilliant tour. Book it or you'll really miss out.

Fantastic introduction to Bangkok’s street food!

Incredible tour that I would recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok! the guide was such a joy to be around and we got to try close to 20 different things around Chinatown.

So fun, informative, and filling!

We had the most fun time learning about Thai street food in Chinatown as well as the ingredients and history behind each of the dishes/shops. Our tour guide, Annie, was incredible - so friendly, funny, knowledgeable and passionate. Since we also had another lovely staff member (Peng) who would often go ahead to line one “stop” ahead of us, there were no waits. We were in a group of five people and when they told us to pace ourselves, they were not joking. There was so much delicious food across the 15(ish) courses that were thoughtfully planned out. So fun exploring the backstreets of Chinatown with really great local guides.

Amazing tour! So much food

We had Johnny as our guide and he was incredible! So knowledgeable about the food and it helped us know what we like and what to look for when eating for the rest of our stay. Pay would run up ahead and always make sure we had a table. 15+ is accurate, definitely come hungry! Amazing tour!!

Amazing food

All the food was amazing. The combinations of spices were just right. We had a nice guide who told us all about it while guiding us true places I wouldn't had visited myself. The tour showed me good food can be find anywere. Thank you.

Fantastic food tour with fantastic guide!

Our food tour with the lovely Annie in Bangkok was absolutely amazing! A fantastic way to experience food that you’d never find without a local guide. The local knowledge was amazing and the guide was super friendly and engaging. Highly worthwhile!!

The best way to eat in Bangkok's China Town!

After taking their Old Siam tour in January this year, I had so go back for the night time tour and it did not disappoint. Being that it was in China Town, the food sampled was totally different to the Old Siam tour. Our guide Fon and assistant Champ were friendly, knowledgeable and organized. I will be recommending both their tours to any friends who visit Bangkok.

Tasty Thrills Not to Forget!

Johnny & Kat are the perfect guides. This tour is authentic Thai food to a T! Learning about the different types of food and flavors was easy and engaging. Come hungry because we tried 19 dishes! Do not leave Bangkok without experiencing this one!!

Perfect food tour for a first time visit to Bangkok

We had an incredible time tasting Thai delicacies with Chef's tour. As this was only our second trip to Asia, we wanted to have the freedom of exploring the local cuisine at its heart, in the local markets, in an informed manner - which is exactly what Chef's Tour provided. We felt very welcomed by our guides, Antz and Oon, who did a fantastic job. It felt as though they had everything planned out, having wet paper towels handy, timing bathroom breaks appropriately, and ensuring we were hydrated (it was 38oC!) All in all, it was the best food tour we have ever been on - our minds, souls, and bellies were stuffed. Thank you!

Don’t hesitate to book!

We absolutely loved this tour with Kwah. My partner wasn’t that keen but came along because I wanted to go and he’s been raving about it since! We both had a great time and now feel so much more confident eating in the back streets and small eateries of Bangkok and Chinatown. There was SO much delicious food and the tour was great value for money.

A must-do!

This is a great tour. My friends and I did the Chiang Mai and Bangkok evening tours and would highly recommend both. Our guide Fon in Bangkok was fun, friendly, and taught us a lot about the food and culture. And her assistant (I think her name was Pang) was great at getting us the best seats places which was no small feat. They even arranged for there to be candles in my mango sticky rice at the end of the tour to celebrate my birthday, which was really sweet. Be prepared to eat A LOT of great food. Great way to really dive in to learn about the cuisine when just arriving to Thailand.

DELICIOUS AND INFORMATIVE TOUR

The tour was simply incredible, from the amount of food and different types of food to the tour guide, to all the different places in China town we got to see. There were 15 or 16 different stops for food in total, and we went everywhere from restaurants to back alleys to street food vendors. We got to try curry, soup, seafood, mango sticky rice, chicken on a stick with peanut sauce, soy sauce flavored ice cream, dumplings, alcohol, and so much more. It was a really fun group with a great tour guide, and the entire tour lasted 4-5 hours. By the end, we were all very full and satisfied!

Excellent food tour!!!!!

This tour was by far the best food tour we have ever done! 20+ food and beverage tastings over the course of 4 hours (some Michelin rated). Well organized and great variety of dishes/bites! If you are in Bangkok this is a must do if you want to experience Thai food. Our guide (Ou) was fantastic and she provided great information and insight into Thai food and Thai cooking.

Don’t eat beforehand!

Amazing experience! Delicious food! A LOT of food! If anything it could be 1-2 fewer stops as it is a lot of food. The highlight was the mango sticky rice!

This tour is a must, should you want to experience Bangkok.

We had such a fab day touring around China town with Oh (sp?). The temperature was sweltering and all that faded away with the adventure of tasting and the sights in and of themselves. This tour is a must, should you want to experience Bangkok. The food tasting list is extensive with each dish a unique experience. The final tasting of the day consisted of two items; Mango with coconut sticky rice, and a fried dough with pandan custard. The custard was delicate with a vanilla essence which melted in your mouth with every bite. I was so enamoured with the custard that I arranged a cooking class to learn how to make it.

Great experience!

We had a really fun walking food tour and tried many delicious foods. It was great to try things that we would not have tried otherwise. We also were able to eat the best and Michelin rated food stands. It was great that we had someone for the tour as the guide but also a second person to prepare the tables ahead of time. I recommend this tour! Come hungry!

Do it don't hesitate and don't eat beforehand

Best time with Ant and Ped -- fantastic guides! Don't skip this tour ESPECIALLY on a weekend night like Fri-Sun the streets are buzzing with locals and the energy is palpable.

10/10. We did the Bangkok Chinatown dinner tour, and our food and guide (Bew) were amazing. Bew was so knowledgeable about Thai food and traditions. The food in Chinatown is delicious. Looking forward to future tours with this company.

Must do food tour

Cannot recommend this food tour enough. Come hungry and prepare for incredible food. So happy we did this at the beginning of our trip, helped us know what we liked for the rest of the vacation!

Best tour of Bangkok!

This experience was absolutely amazing. Annie and Armie were the most hospitable, knowledgeable guides. We went while on our honeymoon and they added so many little touches that made us feel very special. You’ll be stuffed at the end and get the real deal food of Thailand. Highly recommend!

I Highly Recommend - Come Starving

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our five hour food tour through Chinatown’s backstreets and bustling restaurants. Our guide was outstanding in every way. We walked from food stall to restaurant to fruit stand to another restaurant and on! In total I think we enjoyed 25+ items including full restaurant dishes. We were served at least five dishes at the sit down seafood restaurant alone. How did we eat so much tasty cuisine? Come starving and be prepared for a wonderful time.

A delicious experience

The Bangkok street food tour was a great time! Nuch was our guide and was very informative about China town, the food we are trying, and how it fits into Thai culture. Bae was helping her and always two steps ahead getting our tables ready and making sure we had what we needed. It was so seamless going from place to place thanks to him! Everything we tried was delicious, and it’s hard to pick a favorite. Great vibes, food and overall experience!

Great food adventure in Bangkok’s Chinatown

We really liked the selection of dishes served, we especially loved the green curry dish, the pork knuckle dish, the fried donut, and the dishes at T&K. We went back 2 days later to retrace our steps and eat again at T&K and the donuts, they were that good. Our guide was very helpful. Only note I’d leave here for parents who intend to bring small children, do this with them if they have the energy to walk around and have an adventurous palate.

Great tour for people who love to try food

I loved every second of it!!!! The food was amazing, our guide O did a great job. Because you can taste so many things, its better to come hungry!!! If you like to eat, that‘s your tour!!

Incredible unique experience

This tour was incredible. We tried 17 different dishes and explored areas of Chinatown I never would have gone on my own. Every dish was incredible and surprisingly it was just the right amount of food.

Best food tour ever! Phon (fon) and Kat, our guides, were such a great team. Phon knew the food, the restaurants perfectly well. She has a wealth of knowledge. She made us feel super at ease and treated us as friends. The food was just so delicious. I highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed!

First off let me say our tour guide Fon was amazing. Very knowledgable, a lot of fun and a great sense of humor. The tour was a treat. Ever would have found half of the places we went. I have already booked friends for this tour. A must do.

Best introduction to Bangkok’s food scene

This food tour was AWESOME! We did this our first night in Bangkok and it was a perfect introduction to the city. If you are overwhelmed by the thought of tackling Chinatown this tour will be a great fit for you. Our tour guide and runner were amazing and created a wonderful experience for us. At each stop on our tour they had organized a space for our group to sit down and enjoy the food, as well as frequently providing cold water bottles. All the stops on the tour were unique and gave us a new perspective on Thai cuisine. It was so nice to have guidance on what food carts and shops to go to and to have everything paid for in advance. So worth it!!

Wonderful!

Our guide Annie was fabulous and her helper Kat was great too. The tour was really well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. We had a great group of 8. There was so much food of excellent quality and we visited lots of different stalls and cafes. Annie’s English was great and she explained so much about the dishes and the food ratings systems in Thailand. We have had several Bangkok food tours in the past, most of which have been great but this, for me, was the best. Hard to pace yourself though as there was so much delicious food and it was hard to hold back!

Tons of food in Bangkok’s Chinatown

Fantastic tour of Chinatown. We sampled so many different dishes (around 16 or so by my count as I recall), including some I would have not found on my own. Our guide was really fun and gave good information. I’d definitely recommend the tour!

This was an amazing excursion. Our guide Bew was great and her helper Ohm ran ahead to make sure we got tables, even when there was a line outside. All of the food choices were great and I think we had 22 items.

A brilliant way to see parts of Bangkok that you wouldn’t know were there and to taste some unique foods. It’s a great tour and a serious amount of food to get through and the tour guides are brilliant.

Best food tour I’ve ever taken, will only book with A Chef’s Tour company from now on. Our guide Wit was very informative, knowledgeable and engaging which made the experience 100% more enjoyable. Also thanks to Pang (forgive me if I misspelled the name) we did not have to wait to be able to sit and enjoy the food! The best Bangkok’s street food!

It was the BEST food tour for l’ve participated in several countries for the last 2 months! Johnny and his assistant made all efforts to made us felt we were well cared for. The selection of all 21 foods introduced to us were all top notch to our taste, some were Michelin rated for generations but were located hidden alley ways in China town. It was a delightful evening spent getting to know Bangkok’s street food, l would like to do it again o know how to find these places again! Johnny was a Host with mostest, it will be unforgettable part of Bangkok memories!

Prepare to EAT!! Our guide, Nuss was warm, friendly, and quite informative! She was patient allowing us to take photos and laughed at most of us when we started getting full around food #7, only 8+ more to go!! The food is varied and showcases various types of Thai dishes and in various settings. You may eat family style at a restaurant or you might be standing in front of a jackfruit stand sampling… frankly the foods were delicious! The route was well planned, though we were all getting quite full, we roughed it out walking and being excited for the next meals!! I strongly recommend this tour, well worth exploring places you probably wouldn’t ever think of going to. Line bypass was a bonus, be curious about the foods and Nuss will go the extra mile for you! *pats full belly*
