Amazing tour

Lovely tour on a very small local island just a short boatride away from the chaos from Bangkok. The nature on the island you see is beautiful and peaceful and the tour gide makes everything even more fun. Dinner was very lovely as well.

Another world in Bangkok

This was a last minute adventure we did on our last night of a 3-week trip. After already spending 2 nights in hot, humid and very busy Chinatown, we opted for this3.5 hour bike and nature tour that sounded like a good change of pace. The cab ride there was a little hectic as it was rush hour and took an hour to cover the 5.5 km. However we advised Aud our guide that we were running late and he waited the 10 minutes at the meeting point on the river. A few minutes later we were on a small wooden ferry with a nice young couple from Georgia on our way to a completely different Bangkok experience. We were quickly outfitted with suitable bikes and began meandering the narrow concrete paths through the jungle and rural homesteads of the island. The paths are a little narrow but no problem for those with very moderate experience. Keep an even pace and you will not have any problems. Aud pointed out various plants and we made our way into the park to feed the fish at the large pond. The park was quiet as it was a Friday night. The carp and tilapia gobbled up the bread we fed them so we moved onto the bird viewing tower. On the way, we saw two different water monitor, 5-foot long lizards and snapped some good pics. At the bird tower we didn’t see too many birds, but enough to keep our attention. The trees were cool to look at from up there and Aud snapped some more funny pics of our group on our bikes. We returned back to a house where we arrived by ferry and had a delicious homemade Thai dinner, with 2 kinds of soup, pad Thai, fried rice, cashew chicken and 2 other dishes. Topped off with mango rice for dessert, all with a riverfront view and last bits of sunset over the Bangkok skyline. Aud and his wife then took us out in a small riverboat and not more than 150 metres down the river, we pulled in close to the trees on the shoreline and got a half hour show of fireflies in the trees which was pretty cool. There were a few bats zooming through the twilight filling their bellies with fireflies I imagine but not scary at all. We got close enough to have a few fireflies in our hands and on our lifejackets. All in all, we were very happy with our choice with this tour. Aud and his wife and the island locals who made the dinner made it a unique experience of Bangkok that I didn’t think was possible in such a large, bustling city. From the minute we got on the boat, it felt like we had stepped into an urban oasis. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for something different when in Bangkok.

Very nice experience!

The trip was amazing, the island on the other side of the Chao Praya was stunning.The food was really great, it felt like we were very welcome. The Guide (Sugar) was very funny, and helpfull with everything. Definately will do it again! The only minor thing were the bikes....two of us are quiet tall, so the bikes were too small. I recommend the owner of Bamboo bike tours to invest in new bikes. Overall a very nice experience which i can recommend to everyone!

Amazing taste of nature right in Bangkok!

Fantastic experience in the wilds of Bangkok! You wouldn’t know you were still in a big city. Great bike ride and excellent food with this lovely Thai family. Topped off by catching fireflies on the river. A highlight.

Wonderful Experience in Bangkok!

What an amazing experience!!! We'd highly recommend this tour and the friendly/knowledgeable people who are responsible for it. Riding a bike through the jungle, seeing fireflies on the river, an exceptional water-side dinner, what's not to like? Furthermore, we made a mistake on the dates and they went above and beyond to accommodate us last minute (thanks Som!) Even though you're still in the city it doesn't feel like it, very beautiful. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip, book it and you won't be disappointed!

Simply the best

Our favourite experience in Bangkok. Everything was amazing. We had a great tour guide Aud who took us on the best tour around the Green Lung. Stunning scenery and delicious homemade food at the end of the bike ride. Seeing the fireflies was an incredible experience. I can't recommend this enough.

A peaceful escape from the busy city

A really nice time cycling through a park, feeding the fish at a lake, watching birds from a bird tower. This part was still a little hot when standing still waiting for the birds. However, the bike ride was cool and breezy. We then had AMAZING Thai home-cooked fresh food by our host’s wife, in a beautiful setting by the river with little twinkling lights. We got to sit and chat to our fellow travellers. Then we boarded a small boat and zoomed off down the river with the wind in our hair, life jackets provided. Then we stayed still in the water whilst our eyes watched the marvel of the little fireflies. Truly magical. I got to hold one for a short time. Our guide then took us back to the mainland and made sure we all got taxis. Oh, and his wife also very kindly gave us a little home-made present. A chilled evening out. I highly recommend.

Twinkle little fire flies

Seeing the night glow...was an exceptional experience seeing fire flies dazzling and sparkle in the night. This tour, you start off, and you catch a boat from the jetty across the river. Riding approximately 10km around you will feed fish... taste mango sticky rice and return to a dinner close to the water.. Putting in life jackets your taken out in the water on a small boat and you get to see the fire flies twinkling away into the night for around 30 minutes before being dropped back off at the jetty.

Great way to spend an evening out of the city

What a fantastic way to spend the evening in Bangkok, our guide was fantastic and we had a really fun evening. Cycling was good, nice to escape the city and area was very beautiful and quiet. Food was fantastic again helped along by our guide. And the finale of the firefly’s was quite amazing, never seen anything like it before and we all had a great time. Our guide (Tuga) even arranged a taxi back to our hotel for us. If you have the time you must visit and do this trip - AMAZING!

Do not miss this amazing trip

We had an amazing experience with Ot and King. They were so friendly and welcoming. We loved every part of our experience from the cycling to the local knowledge, the food and the fireflies which we were lucky to see 1000s of as understandably this is weather dependent. The food was outstanding and they were incredibly accommodating to my allergies. Loved every minute of it and if Ot builds his dream property we will be back! Thank you for an amazing evening. Must do tour

It was a fantastic tour! Our guide did a great job. The bike ride through the park was fun. Dinner was amazing and seeing the fireflies was outstanding. We were so happy we took this tour.

Surprising and delightful!

This is a really fantastic tour. Who could have imagined there was such an oasis of lush, green beauty so close to Bangkok?!?! The bike ride was fun and easy and the environment was absolutely gorgeous. Aod, our tour guide, was very charming and informative and ensured that everyone had a great time. Dinner was delicious and the fireflies were amazing! A marvelous way to enjoy an unexpected side of Bangkok.

Our guide was super accommodating and engaging. He always checked to make sure we were alright and having fun. Our tour was full of laughter from the start to end. We loved his laugh. He even lent us his special girl balm to help with our mosquito bites. Highly recommend for a unique and fun experience for everyone!!

Fabulous, authentic, delicious bicycle and firefly tour

Fabulous experience on a very sedate but fun bike tour around this local area with stops for coconut milk and mango rice. Very beautiful and Sugar was a fabulous guide. The food for dinner on the river was incredible and the hospitality so warm. The firefly boat tour was unbelievable we all thought they were fairy lights! Highly recommend this trip.

Unmissable magical tour

A totally epic tour. Don’t want to spoil the surprises but from beginning to end our guide Sugar made us laugh and delighted us with local culinary treats and sights. Homemade Thai food made by the mother of the owner - delicious. We were convinced the fire flies were LEDs, but look a little closer and you can catch the magic as they move. A tour that you won’t find in many cities and one you certainly won’t forget.

Relaxing, exercising and tasty

Nice dinner setting. Bike ride was fun but a little too long feeding fish…1 bag of fish food for group would be plenty!! Enjoyed boat ride over and seeing fireflies on the way back was fine. Guide professional and accommodating to everyone’s needs.

A great timw

The guides were friendly, fun and knowledgeable! The ride was more scenic and smoother than I expected. Make sure to come hungry because you get several snacks and a huge beautiful meal. The fireflies are magical and so close to the big city. An unexpected surprise to see so many twinkling near the sky line

Happy and full

Wonder experience! Kind and friendly guides who took us to a beautiful island outside of Bangkok. A place I never thought I would see, but so happy I did. The bike ride was beautiful and relaxing. Come hungry because you get several snacks and the Thai dinner is large and delicious.

Fantastic unique adventure!

The guides were excellent, made the trip fun and provided lots of laughs. If I hadn't found this tour we wouldn't have known about the Bangkok 'island' or the beautiful forest or scenery that we experienced. I never imagined seeing fireflies in their habitat. Incredible tour and totally worth it.

Breathtaking

Off the beaten track & unique

This tour was one of the highlights of my stay in Bangkok! Our guide ‘Sugar’ is a very knowledgeable guide who took great care of our little group. It was a unique experience starting from the boat trip to the cycling along quiet backstreets at our destination, including a track through a national park. Sugar made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. He has a very engaging manner and a great sense of humour that brought the group together. Following the cycling we stopped at a small family restaurant where we got to enjoy a delicious authentic Thai feast…. Then back on a longboat to watch the fireflies in the mangroves along the river. Sugar even helped me get a taxi when my mobile phone stopped working and waited with me until I got picked up. I highly recommend this tour off the beaten track and of course our fantastic guide, Sugar!

Great experience

Very well organised tour. The tour guide was an excellent communicator and very friendly. Lots of fun :) There were two tour guides named ‘Sugar’ and another one (I can’t remember his name). Both were excellent.

Top tour! Unique.

I gave this a shot and it was beyond my/our expectations. We had a great time. The host and his wife was amazing. It is a unique and special memory of bangkok and tour. Escape the hustle and bustle and yet still enjoy the bangkok at its best. We were taken to a very special vantage point and setting to have a very good dinner. Then the firefly watching and fun cruise was amazing. Thank you for creating such a great tour.

An amazing time and experience!

This was the perfect experience to complete our Xmas family trip! We were looked after by Sugar, our guide, who was so kind and funny. Sugar ensured we maximised our time, from feeding the fish to seeing the fireflies. The evening seemed to go so quickly, but we made memories that will last forever. Amazing experience and amazing host .

Truly a different experience. AUD and his assistant were really really wonderful hosts . We loved every bit of it . It’s cycling + home cooked dinner + fireflies by the river on a boat . Overall you should spend one evening to do it . Tip : once you board the can you can show the address and double confirm location . Cheers to AUD and team .

Don’t underestimate the narrow path

Riding on the narrow path was quite scary. It was more challenging than we thought. You’re literally riding above a creek. So if you fall you could potentially fall into the creek. Be better if there were railings on both sides of the path for more safety. I would suggest requiring customers to wear helmets. When riding on the streets it was fine. Bring bug spray and apply before starting your bike tour. The dinner was delicious!

Full moon tour with actually many fireflys

Very relaxed tour including dinner at the pier. Tourguide "Suggar" is very friendly and did take good care.

Great tour

A high value tour, you get: - bike tour around public park and outer area of Bangkok - fish feeding - actually good local snacks - dinner by riverside with view toward the city at night - watch fireflights on boat The guide is nice. The only complain would be the non-obvious pick up. I had to call them to know the guide is "the guy in green shirt". Some guys on the same tour almost got left behind because they just keep waiting there.

Peaceful, Enjoyable Bike Ride and Meal

What a lovely experience! Our guide, “Sugar” was the best and took such great care of us. Loved the side stops for coconuts and rice, mango. The ride was easy and so peaceful. Sugar was so attentive to our needs and safety. The dinner was so good! I was expecting something like a fast food dinner and it was a true Thai family experience.

Great fun, great guide and great food

Sugar lead a fun bike tour, showing us the sights and taking care of our needs. He likes to joke which brought the group together. Sugar made sure we had some great eating along the way and a real highlight was seeing the fire flies twinkle - better than Christmas lights! Beautiful.

Brilliant from start to finish! We didn’t want it to end

AMAZING! By far the best tour we have done for so long and it was down to our guide Sugar! He was fantastic! So kind, energetic and knowledgeable. This is a must see tour. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city centre for a few hours and to witness the calm and serenity of the villages on the outskirts of Bangkok. We saw lots of the village, fed fish, saw a crocodile and watched the beautiful fireflies before ending the tour with a tasty, traditional home cooked food. The tour is done at a relaxing pace on bamboo bikes which were more comfortable than first thought! If you want to do something a little different whilst in Bangkok this is a must!

Very pleasant evening bike ride & dinner

Very fun, different evening activity. Sugar was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed feeding the fish at the Botanical Park and riding our bicycles around the island neighborhood. Dinner was delicious with a beautiful view of Bangkok across the river. I'm vegan and they prepared a special meal for me which I really appreciated. The fireflies were amazing...a real treat! We're from USA, and enjoyed meeting a couple from Switzerland. Sugar helped us get a cab to get back to our hotel afterward.

It was a lovely experience. The bicycle ride followed by the fish feeding. Had an amazing Thai dinner as well. The hosts were accommodative and helpful.

Aod and King

Aod and King were very nice and caring! Aod also took very nice pictures which he sent to us after the activity. Bike trip on the island was very beautiful, and we also got to feed the fish. We then stopped at a museum where Aod explained everything very well. Afterwards we cycled back to the pier, where we got the best food! And to finish it off, we got to see a lot of fireflies. Aod and King even waited with us till our cab arrived, to make sure we were safe. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Amazing break from the city 🤩

Such a unique experience, taking care of the guests from A to Z, this tour is a fresh air and really authentic. Aod and his wife guided the tour, the bike ride was easy and sweet, quick stop to feed the fish, then we went to visit a local museum which was really cool to see, very small and local. Next we had an excellent dinner, it was delicious (coconut drink, fried fish, chichen coconut soup, sticky rice and mango) yum ! and finally we spotted fireflies which was cherry on the cake😍 10/10 tour recommended !

A bike ride, a ferry ride, magical, synchronized fireflies, amazing dinner with a view of Bangkok. And the sweetest hosting couple. TIPS- it’s rush-hour so factoring an extra 20 minutes of sitting in traffic! They will WhatsApp you to make sure you are OK. Download GRAB which is their version of Uber. Ask for a mosquito spray before you get on your bike. The jungle areas are a little buggy. The jungle bike path is very narrow, but they are super patient if you need to walk your bike in certain areas. We got to see a quaint, museum, reflecting, local traditional lifestyles. Bring some Baht to donate to the humble owner. If you like to absorb the local counter, don’t miss out on this great outing. And Mrs. King also offers Cooking Class so ask her about that.

Individual couples tour of Bangkok island

We had a great trip across the river and through the jungles on an island just across the river from the Bangkok mainland. Our guide was super friendly and took pics for us so we finally have lots of photos as a couple We rode 9.6km and stopped a fair bit to have different experiences as described in the description of the tour. The cycling wasn't hard at all even in the heat, I wouldn't describe it as a hard workout. You would go down some tracks that are approx 2 m wide and have a handrail on only one side.but I wouldn't say we were in danger at any point. After that we had dinner (good food but not the best we had in Bangkok) and got back on the boat to go on the firefly tour. Being the only people on the tour we were a little scared when we headed the opposite direction to where we left the mainland but.wed both completely forgotten about seeing fireflys!!!! On reflection we shouldn't have been worried at all. We were dropped back and our guide helped us get a taxi back to the MRT. Would recommend the tour for sure!

Lots of fun!

Lots of fun! Aod and King made sure we had a great experience. We saw loads of fireflies, a lovely meal and got to celebrate Loy Krathong together.

More than a bike ride a night of adventure out of the city. Well worth doing I highly recommended.

This is a must do when visiting Bangkok! We loved this tour. Aod and King have created a fun filled night. More than just a bike ride. It’s starts with a boat ride across the river. This is where you get fitted with your bike much care is taken so you are comfortable. I have to say you do ride along some narrow paths at times, with water each side but this was a thrill for someone who hasn’t ridden in a while hold your nerve and go! we ambled along surrounded by jungle this part was easy going. My husband was not keen on riding the narrow paths which was fine he was able to go along the road and meet us later they had it covered. Stopping to feed the fish while the sun set was a lovely short break from riding. We visited a small museum with some interesting collections. Dinner was a highlight the food was delicious Aod was very accommodating as I didn’t eat meat and he made arrangements with the restaurant, king made sticky rice and mango we loved it so much they gave us the recipe!. Into a long boat to spot firefly’s we saw so many along the way. The tour was so well organized and you got to do a lot of interesting off the beaten track activities I only wish I could of chatted to Aod and King more about their lives in Bangkok.
