Nice historic tour

Loved walking in history. Tour guide was good but at times repetitive and subjective. The bus driver and the bus were good. Keeping us cool and comfortable while on the bus.

Interesting introduction to history of Siam

Our tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and gave us an introduction to the history of each site before we explored on our own. We had ample time to wander around these ancient sites and Paul made sure everyone knew where and when to meet when it was time to move on. The tour supplied a couple of bottles of water each during the day and there were umbrellas to borrow at each site which we made use of as it was very hot. The driver did a great job negotiating the traffic and dropped us back to MBT shopping area around 3pm. The only negatives were that we were told the tour start time was 6.30, a taxi was waiting for us in the hotel foyer when we went down at 6.20 and then we were taken to another location 15 minutes away where we had to wait until 7.30 for the rest of the guests to arrive. A 7.30 start meant we got back later than we thought. Also the small group tour had 19 people so the bus was full and despite us arriving before any other guests, we ended up on the back seat as most other seats had already been claimed by the time we were shown to the bus, it was quite uncomfortable with 4 adults across the back row, I presumed we could change seats as the day went on but Paul advised to stay in the same seats all day so we felt awkward to ask someone to swap with us.

Ayutthaya UNESCO Temples

The Ayutthaya UNESCO Temples tour was very nice and great experience. Great history of mankind and past. We still have not learned from the past and the human greed continues. The only difference between today and the past is that we have more sophisticated weapons. The Ayutthaya, such a great place was destroyed by neighbors and this act of humans have not stopped.

Marvellous trip to Ayutthaya

Fabulous architecture, comfortable transport and excellent guide

My fiancé and I booked this tour because she is a devout Buddhist and wanted to see the temples once more. Naturally this made me curious also. The tour was amazing as were the temples and sleeping Buddha etc. My Thai fiancé decided to go in Thai traditional dress and she looked even more beautiful. The Guide Boeing was most entertaining and knowledgeable and the transport was luxurious. All in all we had a great day

We were guided to the most important temples at this large historic site, Sam was a great guide and very informative and funny. The lunch was tasty and healthy. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Short trip to a very nice historical place

The places are nice, but the lunch are big room of improvement....is not on par with thailand standard....prepare some snack if you dun likel the lunch.

Really nice and informative tour. Only downsize is the drop off in the MBK shopping center and not your hotel but good if you want to do some extra shopping.

Good half day excursion outside Bangkok

Very enjoyable half day tour. We stopped at four historical sites with a wonderful tour guide named Paul. He was very kind and funny and super knowledgeable. Most of the temples are in quite disarray from raiding that took place 100s of years ago, so lots of missing bricks and all buddhas missing head and right arm. Glad we did a pit stop at gas station before first temple. Toilets at sites are some good some a bit gross. The 3rd stop with the Buddha head in tree was our favorite. Food at final stop was good. Souvenirs were plentiful. Paul gave great tips on what the buy and for how much.

Interesting experience

The temples were extraordinary. Never seen anything like them. Worth seeing despite high cost of trip.

Great tour!

Our guide “Bono” was incredible! He really brought the culture to life and made the day so much fun with his sense of humor and stories. I would highly recommend this tour. It was organized and efficient. The lunch was also delicious!

Enjoyed the trip!

Uthai was very knowledgeable of Thailand’s history and had much information to share. He included humorous anecdotes from daily life. The day we went was absolutely beautiful.

Four stars. A good value experience

The tour was good and our guide Paul was an excellent host. He did not try to over impose himself. The timing was good and we did not feel pressured. Only small problem was bus seat a bit uncomfortable. Not enough leg room and the lunch was poor

Paul was our guide. Pick up on time, transportation was comfortable and our experience was delightful, not rushed. Paul is well informed about the history of the temples and shared insightful information of Thailand. He would crack some Daddy jokes in between and shared enough details without it being to lengthy. Lunch was very decent as agreeable. We had a wonderful time a must do experience.

Awesome elite team outing

Uncle Sam was awesome. We are a group of 20 so we technically had a private tour for us. We had some people who were flying out that night and he was very accurate with all the timing. We were all able to do the costume and visit all the sites and even able to feed the elephants. Highly recommended

Impeccable. Highly recommended day trip

Well-organized pickup, transportation and itinerary. Superboy is a great teacher on Thai history. Both the driver and the guide are very friendly and professional. Lunch is delicious. We were happy about every aspects and had a very good day.

Thai history lesson!

I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about Thailands history. Our guide Henry was so knowledgeable he explained the history of Ayutthaya in great detail and then gave us plenty of time to walk around the 4 different sites and explore on our own. Lunch at the road side restaurant was delicious. Even though it was an early start (hotel pick up 6.30am) we were dropped back in the centre of Bangkok at MBK centre by 2.30pm.

Cool sites, great guide.

Hotel pick up and communication worked great. My Guide Sam was amazing. They were only about 12 people on the tour, which made it easier to keep track of. One minor warning is that bothers Trip says with hotel transfer, it only includes hotel transfer to the bus, but not back to your hotel at the end of the day. If you don’t read the footnotes carefully, you can miss that.

Beautiful Place, Great Guide!

This was an excellent tour! Sam did a great job striking the balance between providing interesting history & context to the different sites and letting us wander around & soak it in on our own. I thought the amount of time at each spot was well-timed, especially in the hot sun, and it was nice to be able to skip the logistics of arranging rides between locations! I've been meaning to visit Ayutthaya for years, and the views did not disappoint -- the temples are stunning! Sam was always willing to grab photos -- especially for solo travelers, which was much appreciated! This was an excellent tour and great value for money!

Great tour but avoid the lunch

The tour guide and transportation were good and informative. Henry is very knowledgeable and kind. The lunch, we went to a nearby place from the last temple and you get a choice of pad Thai or fried rice. The food was ok, but I got food poisoning from it so that wasn’t ideal. I felt it a few hours after lunch and this is the only off the beaten path place I ate at (I only ate at nearby restaurants at sukhumbit otherwise). In summary, tour is great, don’t eat the lunch.

Fun, beautiful, and exciting

This was a great tour from start to finish. Tum Tum our guide was simply the best. She was very friendly, warm and welcoming. She was fun to talk to and was very knowledgeable on the temples. She had a great sense of humor as well. She took some amazing pics for us and really knew all of the best spots for the best pictures and views. I would highly recommend this tour not only for the sights and scenes but the overall atmosphere and great tour guide!

Very informative, great and knowledgeable English speaking tour guide! Taxi collected from our hotel & dropped at riverside Bangkok to meet tour. It was quick and hassle free! Tour started early, left at 7.30am from riverside & dropped off at MBK at 2.30 Bus was comfortable, all stops had rest rooms. Lunch was local & authentic.

Nice trip to Ayutthaya

The trip start eraly and we traveled with the bus, one hour, and we stoped to all the temples in Ayutthaya to visit and take photos. The lunch was not great, but was traditional thai food. Our guide tour Tum was very nice.

Very interested tour and good organisation

The tour was very interested. The local travel agent was very responsible. The tour guide and the driver were very friendly. Strong recommended.

Correct tour but awful food

The tour went on time and as described, but the food was awful, to say the less, in a place falling apart and terrible quality, it did not correspond to the price paid for it. It advertised that we would be left in the same place we were picked up, and finally we were left in a shopping centre 6 kilometres away

Ayutthaya delights

Our trip started out with a bit of confusion but once we were on the road with Kiwi and San, it turned into a wonderful day. Kiwi always answered any question with a smile and she was well-informed not just about Ayutthaya, but on all sorts of interesting traditions of the Thai people. The lunch was very authentic and a welcome respite from the hot sun.

Very informative and talented tour guide makes this tour a must do

This tour is highly recommended if you’re visiting Bangkok for the first time!! This is a Rich cultural tour and only about an hour away from Bangkok! Ayutthaya and its history is entertaining and exciting! I had an English speaking guide for our tour so my Mom would be able to understand. The tour guide Nok was very well versed and kind! We enjoyed every bit of the journey. Amazing day out

Beyond Bangkok; Must see Ayutthaya!

Learning while having a fun day exploring - Ayutthaya ruins was the crown jewel of my trip to Bangkok, Thailand. I recommend having the expertise of a professional Guide for this exploration; Sam weaved a compelling story (in English) of the history of Ayutthaya, and its once majestic temples, adding pertinent anecdotes about the forefathers of what had once been the capital of Thailand. The tour was fascinating, and my take away was a plethora of historical data of the Buddhist and Hindu culture.

Great Trip

I really enjoyed my trip to Ayuttahaya. It was well organised, our guide spoke fluent English and was well informed and very attentive. The drive to Ayuttahaya is now much easier thanks to a new road, I felt half day was more than sufficient.

Nice experience

Very nice tour for whoever wants to spend an half day there. The pick up it's a little bit chaotic (quite expected, we are not in Switzerland 😉) but it works. Our guide (uncle Sam, ask for him) was very funny. We came back at 2pm and it is perfect for who wants to use the afternoon to visit other sites in town. It covers the main attractions.

Must do as a day trip from Bangkok!!

What an excellent trip! Viktor was a great guide, giving us a good mix of information on not only Ayutthaya itself but Thai culture and Buddhist customs. He also gave us time to explore the temple sites ourselves without sticking as a group the entire time. Before leaving one of the sites, we even stopped at a street food stall where Viktor bought us each some Miang Kham! Pickup from the hotel was very easy and punctual, with the transport bus itself very comfortable and air conditioned! Lunch was nice in a local cafe, there was a choice of three options that you picked earlier in the day. Drinks you needed to pay for yourself but these were very reasonably priced! We were picked up at around 6:30am and were dropped off at the MBK centre at around 3pm, and we had a good amount of time at each temple site as we did not feel rushed at all. Overall, a really great experience! Would like to thank Viktor for making it such a lovely day!

Good day!

This tour rounded out the temple tours in Bangkok. The guide was very good and explained everything well. My only complaint is I paid for hotel transport to/from. We were all dropped off at MBK and I had to take a train back to my hotel.

Great tour!

It’s very well organized and in due times. The driver and the guide (Uncle Sam) are very kind and the experience is very pleasant with such a small group. We learn interesting things and I really enjoyed my day! Not to mention the lunch which has been perfect with a local dish.

Great, also with kids

Great tour of the “must see” places of Ayutthaya. Also great with children : the travel to the first temple is not too long, the time to spend at each stop is ideal and there are plenty of places to sit in the shadow for them to rest a while. Many thanks to our guide Cute Eddie !

Fantastic tour guides and wonderful place!

We enjoyed this trip so much. It explores the entire city of Ayutthaya and it was one of the highlights of our trip since we got to see a lot of Ayutthaya’s culture. Our tour guide, Khun Shuan, was really really good and he explained a lot of the historical and cultural significance of the sites. We also enjoyed the cruise back to Bangkok by boat which was around 2 hours and we had a great lunch on board.

This is a tour you should not miss!

If you want an extraordinary experience in Ayutthaya rather than the normal one, then this is highly recommended. Here we experienced living the Thai way as we were able to feel the real Thai culture. Our guide who was fluent in English explained everything to us. Also, he is very approachable and nice. This tour is very worthy and the cruise back was so relaxing we wish we had longer!
