First was a very good tour guide. The temples were very interesting. The boat ride back was fabulous. The buffet food was excellent.

Very enjoyable and worthwhile

We stayed in Bangkok for just three nights and spent most of one day on this trip and cruise. It was certainly worthwhile and gave us a degree of insight into the country. The guide (First) was entertaining and helpful. The food on the cruise was very good and plentiful. The trip along the river revealed sights which would not otherwise have been accessible. The pick up from our hotel went without a hitch and the return likewise. Well worth the money.

Great tour full of interesting information

The tour was great, our tour guide Dona provided interesting information about Thai history and culture. The food in the cruise was delicious and the service in general was very good.

Good day out from Bangkok

Temples interesting and guide knowledgeable . After Angkor Wat they were less impressive than if we had seen them prior to Cambodia . River cruise was good .We were well looked after and catering was good .

History and boats! How can you go wrong!

This was a great excursion for those who like history and culture. Our guide, “Donna” was extremely knowledgeable and informative. She answered questions well and kept the group moving despite the heat. The river cruise back to Bangkok included a good lunch buffet with a mix of both Thai and western fare.

Great way to spend a day in Thailand

Guide was great. He had a perfect activity, info sharing, rest, on your own pacing, sense of quiet humor, amazing info.

Amazing trip

What an amazing trip. Our guide, First, was very knowledgeable, funny, engaging and took the time to answer all our questions. He explained the history behind the Wats in Ayutthaya and took us to the best vantage points before we had some free time. The cruise was lovely and the buffet had lots of options to cater for everyone.

Great tour

We had a great guide! The bus was comfortable and the food on the boat was tasty. The boat could have stood for stronger AC, but we’re in a heat wave so it’s probably fine normally.

Great Experience!

I rarely write reviews but always read them so I feel like I should contribute because this was a fantastic experience. The whole tour was well organized right from the start. Pick up from the hotel was included and right on time. Like others have mentioned, we were lucky enough to have Donna as our guide. She was fantastic - Professional, knowledgeable and generous. The boat ride was a great surprise - A great way to see much of the area surrounding the city. And like others have also mentioned, the food was great! Best side trip we have taken!

Excellent tour

This was a wonderful tour with several stops that were all insta worthy. The tour guide also takes your pictures if you’re travelling alone or even if you’re in a group. I recommend this tour. Definitely worth what we paid for.

Good

Interesting visiting the old city. Good to see, but l enjoyed the river trip return. Probably because it gave time to relax, and enjoy the sights on the river. What’s even better they provide lunch to a very high standard.

Amazing tour! Donna was an excellent guide. Loved it. She gave us personal and historical contexts and the cruise back was a trip with great food.

A great tour of Ayutthaya

A well managed tour of a few of the Ayutthaya temples with a great history brought by our tour guide. The coach rides were very comfortable and we had a wonderful boat ride back into Bangkok while sitting on the front deck. Lunch was a tasty buffet of Thai food.

Excellent tour our guide was wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable . Went out of his way to locate my mobile phone which I left on the coach prior to the river cruise.

Interesting day viewing temple ruins

We were picked up from our hotel in an air-conditioned coach and drove about an hour with some commentary along the way. It was an interesting experience, but a very hot, humid day walking amongst the ruins. We visited a few other sights in the area before driving to the river where we boarded a boat which served a delicious buffet lunch and cruised back to Bangkok, viewing many interesting sights along the way.

Historical tour and boat trip.

Well executed trip, with hotel pickup (a must). Tour guide First kept us informed and entertained. Great historical sites with time to explore. Nice buffet lunch and boatteip back to Bangkok.

Fascinating insight of the Ayutthya, followed by a lovely cruise

Our guide helped make it memorable, Donna. She was local, and everyone seemed to know her. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We went to 3 main sites, which were all very interesting.

Great tour, awesome boat ride back

Great tour! The boat ride back was also awesome! Thank you for an amazing day! I've been told that it would be a long day from Bangkok, but it's really not that bad. The ruins are worth it, and the day goes by fastly. I totally recommend it.

The highlight of the tour was the lunch and the cruise, the tour guide was talking more about architecture than history

Temple and River Cruise out of Bangkok

Incredible experience. First was the perfect guide. The Bus drivers are very professional and know how to maneuver a big bus. Very Safe and extremely fun Tour. The Temple ruins are stunning. The Thai buffet during the river cruise was worth the tour price alone. What a memorable day. Highly recommend.

Buddha awesome

It was a great experience being able to see all the temple ruins and Buddha statues. Then riding back on boat cruise was pretty cool.

Two experiences in one tour

A walk around two of the main sites was enough to give a good idea of the former Thailand capital. The buffet meal on the boat was better than expected and the slow cruise back to Bangkok provided a real feel for life beside the river.

Absolutely worth doing!

Very interesting place to visit, we had a good guide who was very helpful and made the whole trip informative and enjoyable ! So much history here! The cruise and lunch was very good!

Great temple visits!

Great information! Tour guide was knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed learning about the temples and Buddha in general.

Ayutthaya is amazing!

Touring Ayutthaya was amazing! We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. I highly recommend purchasing that option! The lunch buffet and cruise was very relaxing, and the sights along the Chao Phraya River were nice!

Nice Ayutthaya Tour

This tour is a great way to see the Ayutthaya Temples. The only drawback is going on a big group and not having enough time to enjoy each of the 3 sites we visited. We enjoyed tasting the local ice cream from one of the sites. Worth trying. The best part was the river cruise back to Bangkok. The buffet was great. The 2 hours cruise was worth it enjoying the sceneries from both sides. Must do tour. Donna, the tour guide was great with giving us the information of each site and best part of the temples to pay attention to. Good job, Donna!

Must do this Tour

The tour was lots of fun and lots of things to know about and see. The temples were a true reflection of history and culture. Our tour had a river cruise on the way back, with great food and scenery. Great day

Thailand experience

Have you ever been to a place so green and full of nature, well I sure have. Thailand is the most brightest country I have ever been to, there they care about the greens in body, the plants how green and colorful flowers are. Animals there are friendly and show love by hugs, like the monkeys there. The zoo staff are very kind and generous love to help in any kind of way, there are a bunch of animal shows like the one where I went to, the whale jumps up and back down into deep water. As he was going down deep in water splashed up and soaked up the audience which was very cool. I also recommend the Siamotif Boutique Hotel its one of my favorite hotels that I have visited in Thailand, best food and the pool was just as best, with the free floats that you can borrow to a little boat with your family and row until your hands get tired. The service there is also very thoughtful and helpful, they clean your room as soon as they get the chance to when you’re out of the room enjoying the view. I would rate my experience a solid 10 as it was one of my favorite trips and would love to come on here and tell you guys how astounding this trip was and hopefully for you too, well that’s all from my side. See all of you rowing.

A must do trip, the boat ride made it a 5*

Timely hotel pickup & drop off. Knowledgeable guide, actually from Attatthuya. The boat ride to return to Bangkok was fantastic. Buffet lunch on the boat, very good.

Great day out

Overall the trip to Ayutthaya was great - and was a welcome break from the intensity of Bangkok. On reflection I think the cruise could have been shorter with more time spent at the temples.

Great tour guide, he knew his stuff and made the ruins even more interesting sharing the details. The river cruise was very relaxing and scenic.

Not My Fovorite

My tour started out with an email the night before confirming pickup at my hotel at 630am. We woke up in time to get ready and have breakfast. When we open our hotel door found a note outside saying to be in the lobby for a 6am departure. We went down to wait. No breakfast since the time unexpectedly changed and proceeded to sit and wait for over a half an hour. Not a great start. The tour took in so much that the whole day seemed rushed. The boat ride back with lunch had great potential. The lunch was excellent but the music in the dining area was very loud and the person doing giving highlights of the area was piped in over the same sound system, only louder. The persons English was so broken I could not follow it, so it was just a loud drone with a loud music background. Donna who was our guide was great. She was friendly and informative. Overall I would skip this one if I had it to do over again.

Memorable experience

Inspiring Temples, great guide, lovely calm cruise with plenty of space and tasteful food. Recommended!

Good value for price

For the price paid, this trip was a decent value. The bus was comfortable and not too crowded, the guide fine and the boat ride interesting. The historical sites are worthwhile though I would have preferred to see a few more rather than spending so much time at just two (plus a quick photo stop at a third). On the negative side, departure and arrival times should have been clearer in the booking info, we began the trip 20 minutes late with no explanation and the boat was fairly rundown. Overall though it was a good break from the melee of Bangkok.

The whole experience was made fantastic by our great guide, First, and the excellent organisation and planning. We thoroughly enjoyed the itinerary which was made very pleasant by our guide, First, who was so funny yet extremely knowledgeable.

A great day out exploring the main temples of Ayutthaya. Guide was excellent- great knowledge of the region and English was perfect. The lunch and boat trip back also a highlight. A long day but worth it to see more of the region and Bangkok.

Not my sort of day out

Hotel pick up 6 45 ,30 minute transfer to bus ,sit on stationary bus for 45 mins,2 .5 hour bus journey to Temples .3 temples and 3 bus journeys in 2 hours.Them 1 hour bus journey to the boat Arriving at 1 pm . 2.5 boat trip.For me and my wife it was a ordeal ..too much of a bus and transfer day.The boat meal was fine but I didn’t appreciate the hiked up drink prices nearly £5 for a beer or water.

We had a knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humour, very friendly and helpful. We visited every temple as per itinerary, made many memorable photos. The lunch was great. The bus and the boat were modern, comfortable, clean. We will recommend it to our friends

Excellent way to spend a day in Thailand

Really enjoyable day. Huge shout out to First for being so informative and candid in his presentation. His pride in his hometown really comes through and he does a great job engaging the group in the experience. As a huge fan of history, Ayutthaya was a must-see on my trip to Thailand and the day did not disappoint. The river cruise back to Bangkok was fun and the food offered was excellent. Overall a super great outing. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Dona princess of Ayuttaya

Pick up at the hotel perfect. Dona welcomes us as soon as we arrived the meeting point. All was explained perfectly. We enjoyed the visits of the morning even if we spent a lot of time in the bus driving from one point to the other. Boarding for the cruise was easy and well organized. The buffet on the boat was very rich and tasty. The drinks are not included in the package. The trip to Bangkok until the arrival was very peaceful. At arrival, ontime, the driver was waiting for us to drive us back to the hotel. During all day, we had, thanks to Dona, a lesson about Thai culture and way of life. Thank you very much.

Great trip, ask for Donna!

I loved this trip! Donna was my guide for the day and having been on quite a few tours in multiple countries this year she was by and far the best I’ve encountered. Very knowledgeable, very nice and was able to answer any/all questions we had. Would 100% recommend this tour to people wanting to learn about and explore the Ayutthaya area with someone from there.
