The rafting was a great experience. Everyone involved was very friendly and helpful. Note that you have to walk some steps until you reach the water and this path should also be considered part of the adventure as it is quite steep. :-)

Rafting

A great experience and well organized. Pick-up, equipment and lunch were included and our drives was very efficient with our time. All in all, I can recommend this trip!

Good - but caution

Great rafting experience for newcomers. However, it should be mentioned that there is a 20 mins steep walk down a jungle-like terrain from the main drop-off point to the river. It is not exactly safe, and you have to be very careful if not you will slip and fall down a dangerous pathway.

Highly recommend

I loved the experience and the thrill of it all. I wish one thing they could mention is that there’s a hike up and down a forest before and after rafting. It was painful. My driver Wayan was so good and such a sweetheart and driver is to different places even tho he didn’t need 2. He was so understanding and waiting for us as we when to different places. Highly recommend him as a driver 100/10

The perfect family activity!

Everything about our trip was perfect. The communication about the pick-up was great and very helpful to us. Our driver and rafting guide were both wonderful. The views were incredible. It was a great adventure, but felt very safe for children. We enjoyed the hiking down to the river and back up again and even saw a monkey. The lunch provided was also excellent!

Great experience

The rafting was so much fun and the guide was experienced, knowledgeable and funny. The views along the river were also lovely . Our driver Wayan was so helpful and friendly, picking us up and storing our bag for us before taking us back to the hotel. He even took us to the grocery store on the way back and waited for us while we grabbed some supplies. Beware that there are quite a lot of steep steps to get to the rafting point. Highly recommend this activity!

Best part of our stay in Ubud

My husband and I had a blast and got to meet other awesome couples on our trip. I’m so glad we picked this company to do our trip with. Our driver, Wayan, was so friendly and picked us up on time at our hotel to bring us to our excursion. We ended up having Wayan drive us the next day from Ubud to Lovina and got to see beautiful waterfalls on the way. We had a great time with him and he made our trip that much better.

A Blast on the River

This experience was one of the fun highlights to Bali! The tropical gorge was incredibly beautiful to raft through, and there were actually rapids! It was very well organized, timely and would highly recommend!

We had a super fun day rafting the river! The tour guides kept things light and fun throughout the day. We felt safe during the ride, but had an incredible experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Ubud

Bali Ayung River Rafting

We had a great experience rafting the Ayung River - our driver, Wayan from Bali Ari Tour, reached out to us the day before our trip asking if we had any questions and promptly picked us up from our hotel the day of. He was very kind, helpful, and told us about Balinese culture and the island on our drive to the rafting location. We were provided with a helmet, life jacket and paddle, and our river guide had a dry bag to store anything we wanted to bring on the river (phones etc.). After a quick safety brief and river introduction, we started our journey down the river. We stopped twice along the way, once at a waterfall where you could swim if you wanted, and another spot where locals were selling snacks and drinks. Make sure you bring cash on the trip, but no need to bring it on the river as you can pay the guide at the end of the trip once you're back at their shop. Be aware that you need to walk down/up many stairs at the start/end of the trip, but this isn't a problem for anyone in moderate shape.

Great experience at white water rafting

Our guide was fun, we laughed all the way thru the 10km of rafting. How we wish it was longer than that. The pick up from hotel was on time and the driver was amazing. Very knowledgeable.

Fun day down the river!

Great trip! It was my girlfriend's first rafting experience and it was perfect. Not too scary, but still exciting and a blast! There is a significant trek downhill to the river to start, and a bunch of stairs at the end to get back to the road. Not a big deal, but just be a bit mentally prepared haha but definitely worth it!

Great day & great driver

Great communication from Wayan (Driver), kept us informed, so no stress on what was happening. Picked us up on time, car was immaculate. Very polite. Nice easy stress free drive to drop off point for white water rafting. Rafting was a bit sedate for my liking but views & crew were great throughout the day. Back to hotel at the end by Wayan. No issues at all. Would highly recommend Wayan for any driving you may need during your time in Bali.

Must do in Bali

One of the best experiences in my life.... Thoroughly enjoyed the rafting. Tour operator Wayan organised best transport from the cruise port and took us back n time safely.He was very helpful.

Although we didn't have our kids with us, this would be perfect for family adventurers!

It was a great time! Wayan picked us up from our hotel and was a great driver. Lovely to chat to - he had lots of local knowledge to share. There is a bit of a trek down to the river, but it was through beautiful fields and rainforest. The rafting is brilliant for first-timers -definitely not too wild a ride! Everyone in our group felt safe the whole time, and the guides really kept the entertainment level up for the whole journey too. With so many tourists through the area, a bit of rubbish is inevitable, but these guys seemed to be doing their best to keep the area clean while we were there. The river and surrounding forest/jungle was spectacular with a couple of bonus waterfalls! Thank you Bali Ari Tours! 🙏

Great fun!

Great fun! Everything is taken care of perfectly. Rafting, swimming in the river, waterfalls and great sceneries. We also saw some monkeys.

Fun day dampened by plastic debris everywhere!

The trip in itself was very good, we had lots of fun and our guide was entertaining. The lunch provided was simple but adequate. My biggest complain is for the fact that the river is filthy, full of plastic debris. It really dampened by experience as you come across beautiful forests, birds, lizards, goannas, monkeys and butterflies but then the surrounding where the animals live is full of rubbish. There was even a deflated rafting boat stuck on a rock whilst we were there. You'd think, with the amount of companies using the same river area, they could all get together and do a yearly clean up to make the journey more enjoyable for everyone. The area when you come off the boats was disgusting, full of rubbish. This should have been cleaned up. I won't recommend rafting in Ubud, the river deserves to be looked after and the local companies are not doing that all.

Amazing rafting trip. Just the perfect amount of rapids which made it exciting but not too scary. Beautiful scenery and great guides. Many great photo opportunities.

Wonderful experience

Our guide Ari was amazing. The pickup and drop vehicles were also very clean and the river rafting experience was great. Very well organised and polite staff. We were a group of 17 people and everybody loves it, we would definitely do it again

White Water Rafting Fun

We had a great time on this white water rafting experience. Our driver, Wayan, was on time for pick up, informative and a friendly host. You have to wait a bit at the start before being given your helmets, life jackets and paddles. There are lockers there too if you have any larger items. Then a truck ride to a hike down a lot of slippery stairs. Despite this, flip flops are the way to go, rather than sneakers. Our river guide was fun and very experienced. There is a lot of joking around along the way, but you will always be instructed on when to hold on at the right moments. If you have phones with you, either use a sealable lanyard bag or you can store them in the dry bag on the boat. You just can’t take drinks with you in case they spill, but you can purchase coconut water or other drinks/snacks at the midway rest point and pay at the end. The rapids are a bit more exciting at the start, but there are some equally fun spots further downstream, especially the final waterslide. Prepare to get soaked, laugh, scream and enjoy the ride! Plenty of young kids were along for the ride too, and as long as they hold on, seem pretty safe. Bit of a stair climb at the end, but it’s a welcome chance to stretch the legs after being on the boat for so long. Not that I’m complaining, being on the boat was fun! You will have the opportunity to purchase photos and videos at the end which were taken from the shore. Just take note, these are quite expensive. There is a serviceable buffet lunch after showering and changing into your dry clothes. It is a well run enterprise, and well worth it for the fun times you’ll have and the gorgeous views of nature. A great way to experience rafting

Our morning started with Made Sudra picking us up for the drive north. Pleasant engaging drive viewing new routes of the day. Made stayed with us during the entire excursion as he was our transport back as well. This was our first time rafting and I have to say it hooked us. We had a great time !! Our guides went over instructions on paddling, safety measures and made us feel safe and comfortable not knowing what our experience would be like. We walked through fields and down a trail and steps to reach the river. As such, there was a 400 stair slightly steep to exit the river post rafting. And my legs felt it, but it was worth it and I would definitely do again. Our trip comprised of ages from young children (12-15 roughly) and adults 20s to mid 50s from multiple countries. We all bonded like a huge family on a reunion.

White water fun making new friends

A fun filled afternoon making friends from around the world was our rafting experience. The guides were fun, well trained and ensured everyone was comfortable through the entire experience. This adventure was perfect for first time rafters, I would venture to say experienced rafters would have enjoyed it just as much.

Plenty steps to walk down to get to the river. The river water felt very refreshing. The scenery is beautiful. Was expecting more rapids to be bashed around in but it is a very good experience for beginners.

We got picked up from our villa and driven to the location by a friendly driver. The rafting was great fun and the guides were a lot of fun, would suggest spending a morning doing it

Fantastic fun

This was such a fun and awesome trip. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful and the rafting made fun by experienced and playful guides. We loved every minute. Easy enough for beginners but enjoyable for all. Highly recommend.

Best Rafting Experience In Bali

Went rafting with my wife on our honeymoon to Bali! Everything was hassle free and perfect. The company sent a driver to taxi us from our resort to the location. Even though it was our first time our guide made sure we were prepared and understood all the basics. It was fun and safe. I recommend anyone who likes adventure to give this a try!
