Ok Tour

Nice way to see a lot of places around Austin. I wish we hadn’t wasted time stopping at a crowded coffee shop and a library….to me it just seemed like they were time fillers to make it seem like a longer tour. Since most of the info was from a recording I think you’d probably get more sights in taking a double decker tour of the city for less money.

Fun half day tour of ATX

Michael was the best tour guide. I recently visited ATX as a solo college student and this was a great way to see some cool places and sights. I enjoyed the Austin Public Library. The architecture was unique. We went by Zilker Park, Mount Bonnell, Mozart’s, Capitol Building, Governor’s Mansion, Lady Bird Lake, Congress Ave bridge, and so much more. I was lucky it was a small group so it allowed for fun commentary. This tour would appeal to all ages and stages in life and is very fun. I strongly recommend it.

We had a wonderful trip on Christmas Eve. Our tour guide is Michael, He is a really nice guide. He gave us a detailed tour guidance about Austin and Hill Country. The coffee shop on the water is very nice. Michael is very patient and considerate. Highly recommended for the first-time visitor in Austin.

Great way to see Austin and the Hill Country

Did the upgraded Austin and Hill country tour today. Michael was our guide and he did an excellent job. We had three stops and saw much more. Definitely a great way to get an overview of what Austin offers. Mount Bonnell was awesome! The views were spectacular! Got some great ideas for the remainder of our time visiting Austin! Recommend doing this tour early in your stay to help plan the rest of your trip.

Afternoon Austin and Hill Countey tour

It was a great tour and we got to see a lot if things outside just downtown. I was a little skeptical about visiting a library since I am a college dean but it was amazing!

City of Austin & Hill country open air tour

Great way to see the entire city of Austin. Like the small group van. Our driver Doug was great, very knowledgeable about the current Austin and history of Austin. Loved the stops along the way!

Great overview of the city

The tour gives a great overview of the city, and takes you to some scenic spots in the hills. There were plenty of photo opportunities, and our guide, Doug, was funny and informative, with lots of local history and recommendations.

Great experience of Austin

Great Tour for the Price!

Went on the 1 1/2 hour tour around Austin with A/O tours. Van was very comfortable. Covered a lot of ground in the 1 1/2 hours. Also, before I booked I had several questions. Phone was always answered by a human, who was very accommodating and answered all my questions. I appreciated this very much! Price was very good for the tour!

Best Tour of Austin!

Great way to see the best of Austin. It was really worth seeing the hill country and Lake Austin. Our guide Jaye did a phenomenal job.

Don't hesitate to book.

Great tour today led by Doug. Lots to see and a couple of stops where you can get out for a short while if you want. The vehicle is very comfortable, the commentary from Doug is relaxed but interesting and he points out a lot of great photo opportunities. The volume etc is perfect and everything is clear. I only have one day here but feel like I've seen a lot in that 2.5 hours and it will give you a good sense of the city, distances, where you may want to revisit if you are limited on time. Also nice to get out of the city and see the surrounding lakes, parks, mountain and residential areas. The visitor centre that it starts at is also pretty good, lovely staff, drinks, bathrooms. Would recommend.

Great Way to See Austin

The trip was well organized and the tour guide was very personable. It was a great way for us to get a peek at Austin and feel like we saw a lot in a short time.

This tour is amazing because it allows you to get off and experience some great locations. Our outing Mount Bonnell had amazing views that we would not have gotten to experience if not on the tour.

Great overview of Austin

Fascinating overview of Austin with excellent narration by our tour guide/driver Michael. Not many tours stop at the library but Austin is very proud of theirs built in 2017…rooftop garden, cafe and gift shop…and they have books too! Several stops at scenic places and the Mozart Cafe overlooking the Texas Colorado River (delicious pastries!). This tour is perfect for first time visitors.

Well worth doing.

Mike our driver was a very knowledgeable guy pointing out places of interest . Worth the tour as would not have seen many of the attractions we visited. Air con bus a bonus.

Austin and the Hill Country Tour

Made stops that we were never told on the site online and too seemed as unnecessary. Drove past things very fast. It seemed like the right side of the bus was the best seat on the van, too. Our driver was well informed though. Our first stop was at the well known Austin Library. We had twenty minutes to look at a view of the city. Too much time wasted there unless we were supposed to check out a book! I would not recommend this tour and was glad we had a a discount from the total price purchasing tickets online. You are suppose to sign a waiver as one of the stops was overlooking Lake Austin and it was treacherous walking over the large stone and boulders. You were given a choice of not completing the path for the view, but could see some view from a closer location to the van. A final stop was at a well known coffee stop overlooking the lake which made no sense unless it was a bathroom break. Our tour was almost over, so why stop? Or was it for a little shopping? All in all, it was a let down for the 21/2 hours we spent on the road.

Great time touring Austin with the family! Our guide (David) was very kind and extremely knowledgeable! We were able to see so many beautiful places and learn about them. It's totally worth it!

Doug was an A++ Host

Well well well.. What can I say.. Doug was a super star! Not only did Mary slip me in on a tour last minute but Doug was an absolute gentleman and superstar to take me on a tour FOR ONE!!! Most tour companies wouldn't do that and would try and fit you on another day but honestly it was kinda awesome to see the sights of Austin at a pace I liked and still have time to see the sights and relax in the air conditioned bus (IT WAS HOT OUT LOL) I think given the fact that I am a talker, would have been nice to have others on the tour but Doug made me feel very safe and comfortable. Canoli's & coffee were on point too from Mozart's Coffee Roasters! All in all, a win for everyone and this Aussie was "Happy as Larry" as we say here lol

Started rough - Guide Corey made it better

Panoramic bus had an AC issue and the audio system broken so had to do a black tour van with less view. They offered a 15% discount, but I had to call Viator as hadnt been processed after first day. First stop was the public library and it was closed so we could t go in. They hadn't checked that first. But Corey tried to answer all my questions as we went so I appreciated him.

Jaye was polite, positive and professional. Very knowledge and even gave recommendations about great eateries. Would do this tour again if hosting friends or family…would hope to get Jaye again.

The Hill Country part of the tour afforded a spectacular view of Lake Austin. I also personally enjoyed the inclusion of the African American contribution to the city’s history and culture.

Fantastic tour! We especially enjoyed the little outings where we got off the bus and explored a little-- usually 10-15 minutes which was the perfect amount of time. Our guide was knowledgeable, energetic and interesting!

Great Tour!

It was my first visit to Austin so I took the tour to become familiar with the city. It was well worth my time and money! We saw diverse areas of the city and the area, learned about some history and the future of Austin. Our guide, Jay, was friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The van was comfortable and met at a good location. Lake Austin and the surrounding Hill Country is beautiful! I would highly recommend this tour!
