Would highly recommend this tour

We liked Ellora caves more due to the impressive Kailashnath Hindu temple. Also there were electric buggies and wheelchairs available. The Ajanta caves involved a lot more walking and climbing which at times can be challenging for seniors or people with mobility issues. However they had the chairs which four people carried on their shoulders but looked a bit scary. The caves themselves were very impressive. Our tour guide Deepak was wonderful throughout the trip and was excellent in narrating the history of these places. Our driver Mr. Sulehman was excellent and friendly. Overall trip was great.

Magical antiquity

We had a wonderful trip visiting Ajanta and Ellora. The driver was very personable and accommodating regarding everything. He took us to very good local restaurants that were not touristy or expensive. Absolutely would recommend this outfit.

Awesome private guided trip to Aurangabad’s best attractions

I booked a guided solo trip with Tour My Choice to visit the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, and Bibi Ka Maqbara. I am really glad that I decided to book this trip. Sher Khan was very responsive to my list of questions prior to the tour. The driver and the guide were professional and accommodating. I especially appreciated my government tourism office-certified expert guide, Deepak. He was very pleasant to be around, extremely knowledgeable, super attentive and understanding. In addition to his tourism knowledge, he is equally intelligent and informed about the current affairs, geopolitical issues, and cultural differences around the world. I really enjoyed talking with him. The time he spent in the caves explaining the history, religion, stories, and the connections was most helpful. Even though I only remembered a fraction of the vast amount of information presented to me, I have significantly deepened my understanding of the multi-cultural and multi-religious aspect of India. If you decide to visit, I highly recommend considering Sher Khan’s tour packages to get the most out of your trip. I would definitely book with them again.

Great way to see the caves!

This was a great experience! Having a driver made the whole trip to Ellora and Ajanta smooth and easy, and my driver (S S Patel) was very accommodating and flexible. I didn’t request a guide but am sure it would have been a great choice as well. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

Great

This two day tour was a highlight of my EPIC holiday in India. I took this part of the trip solo. My guide, Mr. Deepak, was knowledgeable, kind, and generous. One of my favorite moments was when we stopped at a little roadside market, roamed as Mr. Deepak told me about the local fruits and veggies, and then stopped to enjoy a most deliciously sweet mango. The restaurants over the two days were excellent. The first day we stopped and ate a a little roadside restaurant with a great view of rolling mountains (and roaming cows, of course). I ordered a mango lassi, chapati, masala aloo, and then topped off with a tiny coke. It was here that I had my first Indian after dinner mouth refresher of fennel and sugar crystals. YUM. We'd been in India for several days at that point and this was the first time l'd had it. Getting from place to place was a breeze. Mr. Santosh, an expert driver, got us comfortably everywhere we needed to go in a clean and cool (but not too cold) vehicle. Now for the reason of the tour, the caves. They are spectacular. Mr. Deepak's cool demeanor and knowledge about the caves was a cherry on top. From pointing out and telling the stories of Buddha depicted on the painted walls of Ajanta, to giving meaning to the carvings in the many caves and monuments in Ellora, I was blissed out. I have always heard that Ellora was the must visit. Kailasa is extraordinary, true. But Ajanta is fascinating, too. The wall paintings, faded and time corrupted as they are, came to life with my guide. We also went to Bibi Ka Maqbara, which is looks like a miniature Taj Mahal. It’s indeed referred to as the Taj of the Deccan. Lots of stories and architectural history here. Very nice, of course. I feel as if I was blessed there in Aurangabad. I feel as if I was blessed there in Aurangabad. From the instantaneous and concise communication of Sherkhan, to the knowledgeable and kind nature of my guide Mr. Deepak, to Mr. Santosh, the expert driver, to the caves (!) and Bibi Ka Maqbara ...everything. I am forever grateful.

Our guide Mr. Gani was very knowledgable, well spoken and very experienced. He was also a great photographer and took some very spectacular photos. Had a wonderful time!

Great tour to see the best of Aurungabd!

This 2 day tour was perfect to see the main attractions that Aurungabad has to offer. Over the 2 days we visited Ajanta Caves, Bibi Ka Maqbara and Ellora caves. Sherkhan contacted us soon after the booking and was very responsive on whatsapp. We also arranged our airport transfers easily with Sherkhan. Our driver Mr Asad was very courteous and our guide Mr Siraj very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited, he explained the history in great detail. All the sites covered in this tour are truly remarkable, it's mind blowing to see the architectural creations that were created without the use of modern technology, in particular the Ellora caves being carved out of a single rockface. A must see if you are travelling to see the great wonders of the world. Tips - some temples you have to take shoes on and off and leave at the enterance, be prepared for this by ensuring you wear shoes that are easily removable but also comfortable as there is alot of walking. Pack or buy plenty of water, take sunscreen and a hat and always have toilet paper as many bathrooms do not have this. There will be a number of local sellers, you need to be prepared to say no alot if you are not interested, however always be polite.

Good two days

Had enjoyable two days. Ajanta first day, long hot drive, not many places to stop for toilet or breaks, so be aware of that. Second day was more enjoyable to Ellora caves as it is closer to town and the caves are more amazing, Mr. Sherkhan the guide was excellent, explained everything very well. Ajanta has more expensive street sellers, so be aware. Ellora caves just had small street sellers.

Wonderful experience

Amazing experience ! Well organize. Sherkhan contacted me right after i have booked to organise my pickup. he arrive on time at the hotel and from there we went to pick up Aly, the guide, who was on the way to the first destination.Sherkhan was our driver for both day. good driver, spacious SUV and clean. We visited Ajanta's cave first. it was a fully day. ( 2h drive, 2-3h tour, 2h drive). On the way to the cave, Aly was commenting on the interesting thing we were crossing. He is really full of knowledge, the tour was pretty complete. Second day we went to visite 3 different place, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Daulatabad Fort ( view from the road not on site) and the Ellora caves. Aly really know how conduct his tour. we went to Bibi Ka Maqbara first. Most of the people visit this site after Ellora's cave so we were alone and we could enjoy the beauty of it without being disturb too much. Ellora's cave was the highlight of this experience. it is incredible. i really enjoy this trip. PS. Both at Ellora and Ajanta, their is a lot of ''insistent seller''. they all have a sad story. you need to be ready to say NO 100 time to the same person and some will follow you but this shouldn't stop you from visiting this UNESCO world heritage site. PS2 i was thinking of visiting those sites by myself but i'm glad i had Aly and Sherkhan with me. i wouldn't be able to get all the information i needed.

Outstanding service, fantastic tour!

Highly recommended this service! My daughter is 18 and I booked this for her as a solo trip. The driver and guide both put her at ease, she felt comfortable and safe for the entire trip. She learned so much that she’s excited to share with us when she returns to US. Best of all, they worked with me to find a solution when my daughter woke up sick on her 2nd day. I have many great photos of her that her guide Mr Gani took, I felt like I experienced it with her. She thanked me over and over for hiring this tour company.

Great service and coordination. Driver spoke good English and provided clear instructions on what to do, where to meet local guide at the Ajanta cave. Small thing that very thoughtful of them is providing me a shoes cover so I do not need to take of shoes every caves I entered.

Excellent service

We booked our Ajanta and Ellora tours from Viator. The arrangements from picking us up from the Airport to the destinations, taking us to our hotel and then to the tours, being prompt the next morning to pick us up again, was fantastic and so well organized. Our driver - Sher Khan…… we cannot say enough about him and his service. He really took it upon himself to ensure we were well taken care of. His driving (in a city of crazy drivers) was all about our safety. He showed us around and ensured we were well informed. SherKhan is someone who I would highly recommend, this individual is all about taking care of his guests - I would not use anyone but this guy…..immaculate and with great customer service mentality. Special mention of our Tour guides - Mr Pitambar (Ajanta caves) and My Ajiyaz (Ellora) so knowledgeable, great English and super nice guys. All three Sher Khan and our guides are well worth the money spent and then some. We will highly recommend Sher Khan for your tours.

Great experience

We had a wonderful tour. Our guide was Sher Khan for the tour in which we visited Ellora and Ajanta Caves, as well as Bibi Ka Maqbara tomb. Sher Khan was friendly, knowledgeable and had a sense of humour which brightened the trip. We have no doubt that his presence as a guide deepened our experience of the beautiful historical monuments as we learnt about religious stories, ancient artisans and their influences, architecture and local history. Easing our stay, Sher Khan also organised transport to and from the airport, packed breakfast through our accomodation for our early flight and was happy to make stops during the journey to the caves to meet our needs. During our meals, Sher Khan also recommended us meals that we thoroughly enjoyed, showing how his 34 years of experience as a tour guide is driven by his passion for the job.

Ajanta & Ellora cave tour.

We completed the 2 day Ajanta & Ellora cave temple tour with Ayaz and our driver Rouf. Azaz was all you can hope for as an articulate, professional guide. His presentation included elements of Buddhism, Hindu & Jain religions to help understand cave temple development. We would recommend touring these spectacular UNESCO sites with Azaz. Absolutely Great Experience

Had a wonderful experience overall. We were driven around by Mr. Sherkhan, an extremely knowledgeable individual who assisted us in every possible manner. He is a most pleasant individual who knows and understands the place deeply and freely shared accounts of history to make the visit most meaningful. E learnt a great deal about Aurangabad from him as well. It was truly a pleasure to have him help us on this tour - highly recommended!

two-day trip to Ellora and Ajanta caves

I highly recommend the trip to the two cave temples. Our guide Ram was wonderful, full of knowledge and passion. One thing I would see improve is the transparency of the company. When we asked to find a money exchange and ATM, the company changed money with us at the rate 1 us dollars to 77.5 rupees, lower than if we did it at money exchange place. The company helped us find a hotel after we got there, which was good, but we found out by chance at checking out, the company charged us 2000 rupees more than the hotel charge.

Memorable Aurangabad tour

I booked a car on the basis of available reviews. However, I have no hesitation to say that the service of Travels is far far better than what I expected. The condition of the car was excellent and its cleanliness was worth mentioning. The owner of the Travels is very helpful and understands the constraints and limitations of the tourists and chalk out the tour programme accordingly best suited to all concerns. The terms and conditions are explained without any ambiguity and there is no hidden charges whatsoever. It will be unfair if I fail to mention about Mr. Santosh, the driver of the car who accompanied us during the tour. He is a very efficient driver and knows his job well. Further, he is gentle, very punctual, extremely helpful and courtious in nature. Traveling with him is highly enjoyable. Service could not be better

Th guide and car driver is well-know knowledge about the caves and history. Good service. Comfortable driving skill. Well maintained vehicle. We have a nice trip with them. For ajanta cave trip, you can choose by foot or by shuttle bus to visit. That’s amazing experience by foot. You can see whole ajanta caves and wonderful waterfall. It’s down hill path, very easy and relax by foot. Thanks for unique experience.

Excellent Driver

I started researching a tour in Aurangabad on 3 Dec 2019. This locally owned business caught my attention, so requested information. Not only did they help with planning the trip, but also recommended a few lodging options. Mr. Patel picked me up from the train station and took me to the 7apple hotel. Somehow my reservation couldn't be found, but Mr Patel stayed until things were resolved. We started out tour early the next morning to Ajanta caves. Again Mr. Patel was prompt in picking me up. He pointed out some sites along the way and forwarned me about the road conditions. He also told me about 2 options for visiting the caves and warned me to be cautious of the touts. Just like clockwork, as soon as he told me where he would park and I exited the car, the game was on. I have never made friends so fast as in India. "Hello, my friend" was constantly heard. This review is about the tour company, not the sites visited. Mr. Patel was always where he said he'd be and when he said. That is very important when time is tight and missing a connection could throw off the remaining trip. There were a few things that didn't go perfectly such as when we made a breakfast stop when I didn't request. Had we kept on the road, I might have been able to get back to the city in time for a Zumba class I wanted to attend. I felt very safe riding with Mr. Patel which is the key factor in selecting a tour company. They are an established form and want to be recognized as the go to operator in Aurangabad.

I visited Ellora caves and Ajanta caves on 11th and 12th Jan. 2020, I asked to arrange rental car to Aurangabad tours guide. The driver, Mr. Suleman was nice gentleman. His driving was nice. But conversation with him was very nice. He taught me about life in Aurangabad during driving. This was a good experience and good memory for me. If my friend have a chance to go to Aurangabad, I’ll recommend this company.
