Outstanding trip well worth the cost

We took the Sounion Sunset Private Tour with our family of 4. An awesome experience. A beautiful, well maintained, new van with driver and guide, Costas and Nancy, arrived at our hotel on time. We departed on the planned itinerary and had a wonderful time. Nancy provided the right level of information as we progressed. The dinner stop was at a beautiful location and a very fresh authentic Greek seafood menu. The Temple of Poseidon at Sounion is a breathtaking sunset location. Well worth the trip.

Nice quiet private tour

Our tour with Jimmy was just the break we needed from the crowds in Athens. It was a beautiful drive down the coast and a lovely sunset was the reward. Jimmy also arranged a fabulous fresh seafood dinner stop on the way back. Best fish (Grilled Dorado) we have had! Wish I could remember the name of the restaurant…

Frank is the best! Our 5 hour tour was superb! The 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful luxury van he provided. The commentary along the way - wow! The Temple of Zeus was a sight to behold on top of the mountain right on the edge of the sea. And he took us to a lovely local restaurant on the way back to Athens for dinner. Frank is very professional and on time. He is the best and I am a travel agent! Don't hesitate to use his company for tours and all transfers needed!

Wonderful Tour!

We had a great time on our tour! Evan was our guide and was extremely kind and helpful! He was very informative and clearly loved his city and country! It was completely private as advertised,and the van was clean and comfortable. We had a great trip up to the temple, and took the road by the coast! We would definitely book with HP tours again!

Best Tour!

You must do this tour! HP Tours does a wonderful job. This is my second time taking a tour with them. The driver was very knowledgeable, and professional. Pricing was very reasonable. The Mercedes Van is clean and comfortable. If you’re looking to see Athens feeling relaxed in luxury this is the best tour!

My husband and I really enjoyed the ride seeing the beautiful coast and the dinner by the water was amazing. The view from Cape Sounion was breathtaking , so happy that we did this tour - worth it!

Unforgettable experience!

Huge thank you to Frank. I first met him in 2016 - he was a fantastic guide to our group of 14. I came back in 2022 and knew I’d be getting in touch with Frank again. He created a custom tour for our group of 9. First visiting Marathon and then seeing the sunset in Sounion - it was spectacular. The Mini-bus was comfortable, we felt like VIPs. Great Sounion Tour

The driver and tour guide were very good. They explained a lot of items during the drive and when we were at the site. The stop for dinner was excellent.

We did this tour the night of the full moon. Our driver was excellent. Professional, informative, entertaining. The site itself is amazing, and timing it with sunset, spectacular. The tour is timed to give you time to explore the site prior to sunset, as the site closes shortly after sundown. The drive out to Sounion is also beautiful.

Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon is Specatular!

Stunning sunset view from Temple of Poseidon. Our guide was amazing! Picked us up at our hotel and drove the coastline from Athens to the southern most point in the region where the Temple is located. He stopped 5-6 times along the way to point our interesting landmarks and let us dip our feet in the sea at a lovely beach stop. When you get to the Temple, you must arrive at least 30 minutes before sunset because they close the gates. There is a rest room area and cafe right outside the gates. It's a good pit stop but you can't take any food or drinks inside the Temple grounds (except water bottles). Walk around the entire Temple and then pick a spot to watch the sunset - it's gorgeous. On the way back, our guide took us to a small local restaurant about 10 minutes from the Temple, which was a great way to wrap up the day. The drive back takes 1 hour, 15 minutes to the city center of Athens (longer on the way down because of stops) so be prepared as the entire trip is close to 6 hours. It's worth it, absolutely beautiful and wonderful tour guid!

Beautiful spot for a sunset highly recommend

Dem was a great knowledgeable driver. We hsd a great time driving through such beautiful scenery. The restaurant we went to for donner had such beautiful view and delicious food. Sunset is definately when to see poseidans temple we have been on a day excursion tbere too and this was definately nicer. Wonderful trip highly recommend.

Very fast and very easy we planned and booked our private tour to Sounion tour, Frank helped us to arrange our personal schedule to see the sunset there! We were a family of 5 (3 adults+2 kids 6/8 y.o.) Very clean and new car Mercedes Limo 2019 (we even booked it for our transfer back to the airport after the tour). One day before the tour we decided to take a Russian speaking guide instead of English, in 10 min after our e-mail Frank already found a guide for us! They have Whatsapp, but even vis e-mail Frank always responds in 5-10 min max 24/7. Thank you and our guide Svetlana and driver Themis! 100% highly recommended!

Perfect first day in Athens

Our family of 6 (kids ages 6-20) arrived in Athens at 9:30 am after a 9.5 hour overnight flight. I chose the Private Half Day Sounion tour. I had schedule this tour in the afternoon beginning at 3pm rather than the recommended 5pm start time. The recommended time would have allowed us to see the sunset while eating dinner. I was worried about my 6 year old feeling jet lagged and grumpy. We only had two days in Athen, so I wanted our family to see as much as possible. It was the perfect start to our family vacation. We were picked up from our hotel and we drove about 1.5 hours with a a few stops. We loved our stop at Lake Vouliagmeni where little fish nibble on the dead skin on your feet. We paid extra to go in for 15 minutes. My 12 year begged to go back because he loved the experience so much. We spent some time at the Temple of Poseidon. We ate at a restaurant on the water near the temple and then returned to our hotel. This was a perfect first day without much walking. It was very relaxing and we all enjoyed it. We also did the Private Full day Athens tour the next day with this company and the same tour guide. Helen was our guide. She was excellent and very knowledgeable. She was very patient with my 6year old when the jet lag began to catch up with her. I would 100% recommend Helen and this tour company.

Sounion Half Day Tour

This was a wonderful half day. It was previously supposed to be a half day tour with sunset at the Temple of Posiden. Rather unexpectedly, Holland America changed our departure from Athens from 11 PM to 8:00 PM. Frank (the owner) spoke English and was extremely accommodating.He was able to switch the tour to an afternoon tour. Two of the 8 couples requested to be picked up at an Athens Museum. Frank then came back to the port to pick us and the remaining couple up. The van was a new model Mercedes. Very lovely and comfortable. We drove 40 miles south of Athens observing breathtaking views of the Agaean Sea. So beautiful. We stopped for a photo op. Frank graciously took our pictures. Then continued on to Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon.We were all given cold water bottles. We stayed there for about an hour then headed back. We stopped on the way back at a traditional Greek restaurant on the water for a very nice Greek dinner. Frank helped translate the menu and added descriptions of the various dishes. All in all, this was a favorite tour of our cruise of the Greek Islands. Frank is awesome.
