Knowledgeable Corinth and why St. Paul was there

Excellent knowledge and very entertaining tour. Met at the canal, and Tas drove from there. Many stops explaining the history along with St. Paul's relevance.

Great tour learned lots

We drove from Anthens and met at the canal. From there, Tas showed us all the sights important to Corinth history, why it was so important 2000 years ago, and why St. Paul chose it as his site to evangelize. Tas was a joy as a guide and had much information to share. English is his first language, which made conversation very easy. He also sent us pictures on WhatsApp with descriptions which is super helpful to remember where we stopped!

Beautiful views and history

Our guide was Giannis. It was so great to have someone so knowledgeable and kind with us. He made the experience so fun and enjoyable. Giannis wasn’t just a guide he was a companion! Corinth was beautiful and filled with history. We saw amazing views and people. Those 8 hours flew by so quickly because of the great experience we had. Definitely would recommend it!

Good knowledge of Corinth with an enjoyable driver

Our driver Peter is a native Corinthian who is well versed in the details of modern and ancient Corinth. In particular, Peter helped us to trace certain steps of Paul (the writer of much of the New Testament). Some of the site visits were quite strenuous, so it was important to have a comfortable car to return to.

Could have been more

The trip was interesting. We expected more. The restaurant we weee taken to wan not authentic Greek food. Our second tour guide to us to a fantastic place.

Corinth, a must go to

My wife and I had an amazing experience with Peter, tracing the foot steps of Saint Paul. Peter is so knowledgeable and kind, really made the day, a day we won’t forget. The sites, coupled with the history makes this tour a must for anyone traveling in the area and we highly recommend.

Amazing day long tour.

We had a wonderful time. Yannis picked us up in a clean, spacious, van and drove us to our various destinations. Along the way he talked to us about where we were going and tied together History, Greek Mythology, and The Bible to provide us detailed explanations on each of the locations in a far more interesting way than any app or your book could. He brought us to a nice seaside restaurant where we enjoyed a nice meal with the sound of waves lapping at the shore a few feet away. The highlight of our trip to Corinth. We absolutely loved it.

Loved Corinth Biblical Tour (self-guided)

What a wonderful tour this was for my spouse and I! Giannis was so friendly and wonderful to chat with! Corinth was really beautiful too. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this trip through Viator. Make sure you have tomatoes at the seafood restaurant on the shore!! Magnificent!!

The tour was amazing and surpassed our expectations. Yannis made our day wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much about not only Paul but Greek history and culture. The pace was nice and he was flexible with timing. He took us to a wonderful seaside restaurant for lunch. He did not go in the sites with us, but he fully explained them before entering. The sites were small so it was just fine. He answered all our questions with ease. Our tour started at 0900 and lasted about 6 hrs. We were a family of 5 with adult kids. We all agreed that this tour was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!!

Strongly recommend!

An absolutely wonderful day with Yannis exploring Korinthos. On our 17 day vacation this was the absolute highlight of our trip. A comfortable ride, snacks and water were provided along with a suggestions for a great lunch outside some of the ruins. We learned so much and Yannis made scripture come to life for us.

Steps Of Paul Tour

On our trip to Athens, to celebrate our anniversary and a birthday, we choose Ancient Greece Tours/ Steps of the Apostle Paul to explore history and to enrich the understanding of our Christian faith. Our very knowledgeable guide, Peter, immersed us in Paul's life, times and context. It was as if we were actually there! He gave us a deeper understanding of the Apostle and his ministry. The all day tour was extremely thorough, very comfortable transportation, complete with water and special pastries from a local well-known bakery. We can't say enough about our Peter's professionalism; he was very warm and personable with a great sense of humor. By the end of the tour we felt as if we were leaving family behind. We highly recommend this tour!

This Tour is a Must Do

Wow - what an amazing tour! Giannis, our guide, was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Picked us up at our hotel in a very comfortable Mercedes E Class and told us about parts of Athens when we drove out of the City and pointed out things of interest on the drive over to Corinth. It was awe inspiring to trace the footsteps of Apostle Paul. Giannis was so friendly and genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment. Would highly recommend this tour and this guide!!

Amazing Christian Tour! Don't Miss!

Our driver and tour guide Yannis was amazing! He was prompt, on time, and even brought us some traditional greek pastries for breakfast. Yannis is extremely knowledgeable not only about all the tour stops but also about Paul and his movement through Greece. We left knowing way more than about Paul than we even thought we would! Yannis also recommended us an amazing lunch spot with the juiciest kebab and delicious chicken gyros. Highly recommend asking for Yannis if you book!

Awesome Tour

Peter, our driver and guide, met us as scheduled at the hotel. Peter’s English is excellent and he is extremely knowledgeable about Corinth, since it is his hometown. We saw the canal, canal bridge, and the 3,000 year old overland road used during Cesar’s time. We also visited a recently discovered city wall, local church’s, and ports. The highlights were the Corinth Acropolis, the Temple of Apollo and sites where the apostle Paul lived. Peter was a safe driver with a clean car, he made an excellent recommendation for lunch, and provided refreshments and snacks for the day. Peter’s extensive knowledge and clear communication made it a great day.

We were picked by Peter out your guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and spoke very good English. We saw the canal, and many sites where the apostle Paul was. Some highlights: canal, marketplace, port, churches. Peter is the best.

Walk In the Footsteps of Paul

My wife and I just finished our tour with Giannis. We wanted to "walk in the footsteps of Paul" in Corinth and this tour did not disappoint. Giannis was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our every request and we feel that we made a friend today. Take the foot steps of Paul tour and you’ll love it. The beautiful nice kind man that was out tour guide, his name is Tas. I’m a pastor and love theology, but I just stood quietly and listened and for minister that’s not easy lolol because the knowledge was amazing and I just wanted to learn and that we did…. It’s a long tour but worth every minute. Tas was awesome

The thing to do if you need a break from the tourist masses in Athens…

Perfect day from timely pickup at our Athens downtown hotel and at least 10 stops with plenty to see and some hidden gems besides the tourist tracks. Being just the two of us in a private car made us feel very special and was worth every dollar. Peter was a great guide with lots of knowledge and stories about Apostle Paul and other things that happened in the Corinth area back in the ancient days. Tour ended with a great late lunch and a nice coffee! Peter made lots of photos and send them to us, together with some additional information to round up the day. 100% recommendation!

Forever grateful we chose this tour

Our guide Peter was exceptionally knowledgeable of the area and the biblical context of Paul’s journey through Corinth. This was a private tour and he customized the trip to our needs which was cool. The temple of Apollo was incredible. Our last stop for lunch was amazing, perks of having a local guide.

Biblical tour or Corinth

Peter picked us up at our hotel. I didn’t realize this was a private tour but I am so glad it was just us. It allowed Peter to customize our day. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Corinth and the Apostle Paul’s journey through this area. The sights were breathtaking and we loved the low key slow pace of our day. Peter is a local and that paid off big when he took us to lunch near the Temple of Apollo where he knew the owners. This was truly a day we will never forget.

Cherished Memories of Ancient Corinth with an Outstanding Guide

The balance of safety with new experiences is essential to us as senior citizens in a foreign country. We booked the private Biblical Tour of Ancient Corinth and the Isthmus Canal on the recommendation of our travel agent months before a scheduled trip to Greece and the Balkans. From the moment our guide Tas picked us up at our Athens hotel, we were confident in his expertise to lead us along the path of Saint Paul during the first century A.D. Tas took us to places off the main roads and even reserved a delicious lunch for us overlooking an active archaeological site and the temple of Apollo. At each of the stops Tas quoted the Biblical references to the sites, which gave us the scaffolding to understand how Saul/Paul worked to convert the Corinthians. On our return to Athens, Tas continued to be a knowledgeable and fair-minded discussant of the more recent Greek history answering our questions with the same clarity and thoroughness as he did during our trip through the same historic region. No tour can be perfect without well-planned logistics and TAS had each detail in place for an enriching, but not exhausting day. Following the end of the tour he sent us dozens of photos of the two of us at the various stops - no selfies required – with annotations of the sites and corresponding Biblical references. My husband and I concur that Tas created the most enjoyable part of our time in Greece. We will never forget him and thank him for sharing his wonderful country.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Corinth with Peter. He was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. He took us to see the Isthmus Canal, ancient Corinth where Paul preached, old port Paul traveled through, and the Corinth acropolis to walk along the Venetian castle ruins. He also provided us with the scripture references to go along with the sights we saw. Recommend this tour for anyone wanting to walk in the footsteps of Paul.

What a great day exploring the life of Paul in Ancient Corinth!

We had a fabulous day with Peter exploring the sites together. Peter was very knowledgeable and our ride to and from Athens and throughout the day was so comfortable. We learned of the ancient life in Corinth and the importance of Paul’s ministry there. It’s incredible to be able to be able to journey these steps as they give you more context to better understand Paul’s ministry. We had a delicious lunch overlooking some of the Ancient ruins and treats and refreshments from Peter. Peter was very thoughtful, caring and a wealth of information. Superb trip to Corinth!

My husband and I spent the day with Tas on an amazing trip to Corinth. His extensive knowledge was impressive. We were especially interested in the Apostle Paul's journey, and Tas was able to explain with history, maps and background info. We had many questions and never felt rushed. We enjoyed Tas' humor and personalness, and felt like friends after our trip. The car was very comfortable, and we appreciated the water and Greek cookies! Honestly, this was a tour we will remember the rest of our lives.

Ancient Corinth and the Biblical sites of the Apostle Paul

Giorgos was an excellent driver and provided historical information about the Corinth Canal and the Apostle Paul’s time in Athens and Corinth. We were able to see so much in less time if we had taken a similar bus tour. Although he did not accompany us at the ticketed sites, he allowed us as much time as we wanted and answered many of our questions. He was our official photographer at many of the places which we appreciated. Giorgos chose a wonderful restaurant for lunch with a beautiful view on the Aegean Sea before driving back to Athens. Thank you for a wonderful day Giorgos!

Corinth tour ... a must do - and close to Athens!

My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon in Greece, and the tour of Corinth was absolutely one of the best parts of the trip! Peter Keioufis (Panagotis) was our most excellent tour guide. He picked us up promptly on time, and so thoughtfully had Greek cookies and water waiting in his car for us. For the next 9-10 hrs we were immersed in all things Corinth, in retrospect we think of Peter as "Mr. Corinth"! We loved his emphasis on the St. Paul/Corinth nexus. It sent shivers up and down our spine to dip our fingers in the water of the ancient port he sailed out of, and to stand on the very bema he was tried (and exonerated!) on. After confirming we would be interested, Peter took us to his community church, which like so much of Corinth is "Paul-based". It was beautiful! By the way ... there was a lot more. The "Acrocorinth" was fascinating (bring your hiking shoes!), the Isthmus canal was also very interesting, from a historical and engineering point of view as well. Neither were on our radar screen at the beginning, but we're so glad Peter took us there. And there's even more we learned and experienced (interactions between Corinth and other Greek city states, the war with Rome, and others) ... All in all, a great trip involving Biblical and other history, culture, both past and present - most highly recommended, 10/10. Thank you, Peter!

Wonderful experience

Walking Paul's footsteps in Corinth was an eye opening experience. It helped to bring the scriptures to a fuller colour. Our driver was helpful and friendly and explained well the history of the different sites.

Wonderful immersive tour

We loved our tour! Ioannis was extremely knowledgeable on biblical history and we felt like we were in a Bible class. He was kind to pick us up some biscuits for the long drive to Corinth from Piraeus port and had waters as well. He was kind, funny and we would definitely recommend this tour. Great sites, lots of knowledge and was a great connection to what we’ve read and seeing it.

Wonderful day on our biblical tour

We absolutely enjoyed our full day Biblical tour with Peter. Our pickup at the downtown hotel was to the minute, the car was clean and comfortable, the travels were safe and interesting. Peter was friendly, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. Our visits to the biblical and archeological sites were incredibly interesting and inspiring. We had already visited one of the planned sites, so he slightly modified that stop and elaborated on other interesting aspects. There were plenty of rest stops and a recommendation for a terrific lunch stop with great food, pleasant wait staff and a beautiful rooftop view. Peter even took lots of pictures with his camera and sent them to us. Our trip with Peter was absolutely great and we highly recommend it to others.
