Great excursion

I really liked this trip. Food at the lake was good and very reasonable. Don’t waste your money buying a ticket to the Temple of Poseidon. I paid 15euros and literally could have taken pictures from the Cafe. This excursion was worth it.

The lake is very pretty....

The lake is very pretty. The water is colder than i would have liked. You get a free fish pedicure, which at first i didn't like but i got used to it and enjoyed it. Our driver was amazing. You have plenty of time at both places. The views at Poseidon are amazing. Very enjoyable tour.

Viator is worth every penny!!

Today was an amazing day. We went to Lake Vouliagmeni and the Temple of Poseidon. Going to the Lake first was perfect. We beat the crowds and were able to have our pick of the lounge chairs. The food there was very good and reasonably priced. We stayed 2 hours and Giorgos never made us feel rushed. Giorgos was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. Viator’s communication with me was top notch. I booked 2 tours in Athens with them and I am looking to book another when I head to Naxos at the end of this week. This company takes the stress out of being in a new country. I highly recommend!!

Lake Vouliagmeni and Temple of Poseidon

Anthony was our private transportation executive and he was knowledgeable and answer a lot of questions about Greece. He was so nice and friendly. We did a tour at Lake Vouliagmeni and temple of Poseidon and it was an amazing experience.

An amazing day at the lake

This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Athens. Our guide Nathan was fantastic. We enjoyed the tour and insights greatly. The lake was beautiful and very relaxing. We got there early enough to get great seats at the lake and enjoyed food & drinks while swimming and relaxing on our loungers. The lake is full of fish that nibble on you, which was definitely a fun/unique experience for us. The Temple of Poseidon has breathtaking views as does just driving along the coast to the temple. This tour was such a great, easy way to get outside of the center city and relax for a bit. We highly recommend.

A beautiful road trip and relaxing adventure!

We had a beautiful day visiting Lake Vouliagmeni and the Temple of Poseidon, finishing up with an amazing lunch and lovely parting gift from Giorgos. Giorgos was an outstanding guide with excellent recommendations and interesting information to share about the area. We were traveling as a family with a 10yo child as well as my 76yo mother. All the activities were perfectly suitable for everyone. Highly recommend this excursion as a great way to escape the crowded city and see the beautiful seaside communities outside Athens. Fabulous

First day in Athens and it was fantastic! The lake was amazing! Once we got in we didn’t want to get out. Lunch at the base of poseidons temple was delicious with great views. Nathan our driver was the key to the day. He was on time, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Thank you Nathan for a memorable day!!

Relaxing and Fun Trip - Super Helpful Driver

This experience was super fun and relaxing! We loved taking a dip in the lake and the Temple of Poseidon is a must see. Our driver, Anthony, was very kind, informative, and helpful. Upon finding out that it was our honeymoon, Anthony got us a traditional honey and sesame sweet to honor our marriage - which was beyond thoughtful! We couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Beautiful views, great day out!

We had a relaxing day at Lake Vouliagmeni and the Temple of Poseidon with beautiful views along the way of the Athenian riviera. Our driver Harry was very personal and we had great conversations. Glad we chose to do a private tour with Crispy Local as it was a full day and we were ready for bed by the time we were dropped off at the hotel. Highly recommend Crispy Local! We would be happy to travel with them again. Ola kala! 😊

1/2 Day at Lake & Temple

Great day at the lake. The water in May was very nice. The temple was very nice as well. The drive along the coast was beautiful. The driver was very professional and prompt.

A tour that we will never forget!

As part of our Euro Vacation, we spent 3 days in Athens, and this tour was the absolutely best! The Views were absolutely amazing! We loved the dip in the lake and the relaxing drive along the coast, but the easy stroll up to Poseidons temple was a view that we will never forget. Our tour guide, Harry, defined what the Greek people are truly about! Friendly, informative, curious and humble. Thank you Harry, we will never forget you! Thank you Viator- from Rome, To Athens- 4 tours and every one of them were 5 stars but this is the only one that we wanted to stop on our vaca and write a review.

Friendly, knowledgeable, professional

We had the best day! Harry, our driver, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He learnt so much from him about Athens and wider Greece. We went to the Temple of Poseidon first due to the weather being a little overcast and it due to become sunnier in the afternoon for the lake. The Temple was incredible with beautiful views of the sea and neighbouring islands. When we arrived at the lake, it wasn’t too busy. Harry gave us 3 hours at the lake which was the perfect amount of time. It’s stunning. The skies cleared up and it heated up enough to sunbathe on the loungers. The food there was good as well. The nibble fish shocked me a little, but my husband enjoyed them. They weren’t further out into the lake and I was able to enjoy a swim. The bar at the lake and the sun beds were modern with a luxury feel. The temperature of the lake was 24 degrees. We had a little time on the way back o spare so we went to the Olympic stadium for five for pictures. We wouldn’t have seen this otherwise. Strangely enough, we were talking about film and Harry said he’d seen “The Last Pub” which is a loose translation to a film shot locally to us so he had some understanding of where we’re from. It was. The perfect day to relax from the bustle of Athens.

Superb trip to the Temple of Poseidon

The stay at the Lake was very relaxing. We were able just absorb the beauty of nature. Our driver and host, Giorgos, was very informative. He told us the stories about Lake Vouliagmeni and the history of the Temple of Poseidon. He answered our questions about life is in Athens, and the suburbs. He drove us to a nice seaside restaurant for lunch, and his driving was smooth.

This tour was great we really enjoyed the lake and the temple of posideon. George our driver was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Would absolutely do this again.

Relaxing Lake day

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful time. Nathan was our tour guide and was there right on time at our hotel. He took us to the lake and we had two hours there. It was gorgeous! The little fish that eat your feet were fun. Then Nathan picked us up and recommended lunch and took us there. It was delicious. Then, he was kind enough to find a pharmacy on the way to Poseidon’s Temple for some Dramamine, because the road is pretty curvy. The temple was amazing and not a lot of people there so we got some really cool pictures. It’s also right on the Aegean Sea which was gorgeous! Nathan provided facts and stories at every stop and was very helpful. This turned out to be one of my favorite days of the trip!

This was an excellent end...

This was an excellent end to our trip in Greece. The spa was beautiful and relaxing, and the drive to the temple was a lot of fun. Our guide Harry was knowledgeable and engaging. Know before you go: There is a gift shop at the temple, so make sure to give yourself time to visit if you want to buy souvenirs. I didn't see the gift shop until it was time to leave, so may have timed things differently.

Our first visit to Greece

We enjoyed an incredible experience at Lake Vouliagmeni. The tour operator scheduled our tour early enough that we were able to experience the beauty of the lake before the crowds descended on the venue. Our driver, George, was a delight and kept us on schedule without rushing us. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch before heading to the Temple of Poisedon. We highly recommend tours given by Crispy Local.

We had a really great, relaxing time. Anthony was a great guide and his restaurant recommendation was delicious. The pickup from our Airbnb was punctual and Anthony even provide us with a little parting gift which was very thoughtful!

Perfect Day in Athens - Lake - Temple

My husband and I are staying in Athens and our trip today to the Lake and the Temple has been our most informative and relaxing day we’ve had so far. It was a pleasure to spend the day with Ioannis as he pointed out various locations and described the history behind the cities and landmarks. He was very knowledgeable about most everything. He picked us up at our apartment and was exactly on time. We couldn’t have asked for more and we would definitely book with him again.

Beautiful and relaxing trip with breathtaking seaside views

Anthony took us for a wonderful day down to cape sounian and the breathtaking temple of Poseidon. After walking around there for around an hour we drove to lake vouliagmeni for a swim in the pristine waters (the lake is part fresh and part seawater). Then Anthony recommended a wonderful spot for us to have a late lunch of traditional Greek food by the seaside. Altogether this was a lovely and relaxing way to spend the last day of our trip to Athens.

Really fun and relaxing day

Beautiful drive down to Cape Sounio and the temple of Poseidon and breathtaking views of the sea. Then we went to lake vouliagmeni for a refreshing swim in the mixed sea and saltwater wonder. Our driver Anthony was really great and gave us some great history of Greece and also helped choose a fantastic traditional Greek restaurant for us to have lunch. Lovely way to spend the last day of our trip to Athens

Breathtaking views and legendary service!

Petro was an amazing driver and host for this excursion. He accommodated our every need and provided friendly and informative commentary throughout the journey. The Mercedes was very comfortable with A/C working wonderfully. The lake was a stunning location which looked beautiful and felt even better. The water was absolutely perfect for swimming this early in the season, which can be hard to find. 24-25 degrees Celsius. The drive to the temple of Poseidon was breathtaking, and Petro did a great job through the turns making sure we all were comfortable. At one point we all said “wow” as the Aegean Sea revealed itself and he immediately pulled off so we could get pictures and enjoy the view. The temple had a bar with refreshments and some of the most stunning views I have seen in my life. The day finished with an amazing seafood meal with octopus, squid, and shrimp galore. All in all a wonderful journey with a wonderful host, well worth the Euros, especially for a group of 6!

An informative and relaxing day

A wonderful trip, our driver Harry was extremely informative and so nice. The drive was full of very interesting conversation about life in greece and lots of facts about the places we visited. The temple is very impressive and the views were great. The lake was not as warm as we expected but still a very nice place to swim and relax and the fish were such a unique experience. I would definately recommend this trip to anyone visiting for a few days.

Great stop on our first day in Greece. Relaxing time in the water, we had a private car take us to the temple of Poseidon and then a great lunch with the temple in the background.

Lake Vouliagmeni and Poseidon Tour

Spent the day with Harry, wonderful well versed guide. Right on time and he decided to reverse the order of the day to make sure we got the best possible outcome. It was perfect! A nice swim in the morning, then to Poseidon. Found a wonderful place to eat, and the ride home was full of interesting facts, stories and conversation. Would spend the day with Harry anytime

Fish nibblers

The temple of Poseidon was great, but having the fish nibble on my feet was an experience that I’ll probably only enjoy once in a lifetime. Our driver, Harry was very friendly and a good host for our trip.

Don't recommend the Lake

The lake was freezing! 18 celcius/64°F. Posidon. Was nice. Arrived before opening. Beautiful cliff views. 1st tourist so great photos.

Great Date Day

My husband and I had a wonderful day on this tour! We were picked up in a private car by Loannis who drove us to Lake Vouliagmeni and The Temple of Poseidon. Loannis was great! He was very informative of the history and culture and had great conversation! He took us to this great restaurant right on the water with views of The Temple of Poseidon. The food was so good! This is a great tour for a mostly relaxing day. There is a bit of easy hiking at the temple, but the rest was very chill and enjoyable!

Amazing

We loved everything about this tour. The lake was personally my favorite. But the Temple of Poseidon was so beautiful. A special shout out to our personal driver, George, who was insightful and informative during our trip. Surely a trip we’ll never forget

Great break from the city!!

Great day and best guide! We had our 10, 15, 16, 18 year olds with us! The lake is beautiful and while it was a tad cold we still got in. The “fish pedicure” was actually pretty cool! Definitely a cool thing to mix it up and get out of the city to see the coast line. The Temple of Poseidon is like the other temples but so beautiful on the coastline and worth the drive! Alex, our guide, was very personable and so knowledgeable. We had the best lunch near the lake at Koutales- HIGHLY recommend this lunch spot which our guide secured for us! Was a great time and sun day!!

Magical

Booking was easy and great communication. Our driver Anthony was so nice and accommodating. He knew alot of the areas. We chose the 8am and I'm so glad we did. We got the temple practically to ourselves before the big groups began to show up. We had our breakfast in the cafe there. The lake was gorgeous and such a unique experience. Amazing start to vacation

George was an amazing driver and guide for our day. He customized our trip based on the things we said were important. He was extremely knowledgeable about Greece and its culture and people. Excellent tour! Relaxing and fun

We loved this tour! It was a great way to spend a day - we loved the lake. We went early so it was easy to find seating. The lake is not that warm but still fun to take a little swim. The fish are also super fun. We enjoyed our drive along the coast and loved our guide George - he was very easy to talk to and provided great information about Greece. We also loved our stop for lunch and the time at the Temple of Poseidon. Would definitely recommend!

All around our journey he shared interesting facts and myths of the places we visited. The lake is amazing and I would regret not to do it. A wonderful and relaxing experience!!

What an amazing experience!! Our guide ‘Giorgos’ was so friendly and helpful… very professional and comfortable vehicle. I would highly recommend this trip (and this tour company) if you are looking to explore the coastline outside of the centre of Athens, which from what I can see would not be possible by public transport. The lake was very relaxing, and you do have the option to get spa treatments too but I assume you would need to book beforehand to ensure availability. We learnt a lot about the history and culture of Greece from Giorgos which we really appreciated. All in all this was a very relaxing day and now we have many special memories to take home with us. Thank you so much!!

Best guide ever!

We have travelled many places but this was the best experience ever. We were picked up in our hotel and had a very good guide (Antony) to take us to the temple of poseidon and later to the famous lake. The guide didn’t keep the resume he was told but talked polite and humorous about what we like to talk about! What a relief: the real Greek exits! We had a fabulous day!

Nice tour and very relaxing

This was the perfect choice for us to do on our last day in Athens. Very relaxing and beautiful scenery. Loved the exfoliation treatment the little fish gave us. The only reason this is not 5 *s is that we could have gotten to the lake one hour later (our hotel pick ip was 8:00 am) which would have given us more time at the lake during the sun shining. On the other hand, it was very peaceful being there early and enjoying the space to ourselves. I would imagine that in the summer you would have better luck going on the early side and avoiding the crowd. Our tour guide, George, was so personable, funny, accommodating, & knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our day with such a great guy.

Worth the drive!

This was our favorite excursion in Greece after Corfu. Harry was absolutely wonderful, and a good driver too. He also answered our million questions about modern Greece, as we were a little overwhelmed by the history lessons we'd received over the past two weeks as we toured Greece .🙂 The water was refreshing and the fish super cool. Poseidon's temple was situated so beautifully overlooking the coast. Highly recommend as it gets you away from the bustle of Athens.
