Athens in a day!

Spiros, our driver & guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable about all the places he took us to. He was attentive & amended the tour to meet my mobility needs. It seems like waste of...

It seems like waste of money and we paid $199 for the two of us. We only saw different parts of the old city, because some of the sites they were supposed to show (Acropolis is one of them) were closed due to the heat. I wish we would be notified about it before the trip, we would probably cancel it. We were asked if we want to see something else, but we didn’t know what( isn’t it their job to know about all the famous places Athens can offer?)

Mind mapping Athens in a single drive!

Driving through the various neighborhoods and getting a sense of the layout of the city was fantastic! Every monument and site was thoroughly explained. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and spoke English beautifully, answering all our questions.

Perfect for City Highlights

This was absolutely the perfect way to see the city in just a day, can't believe I haven't done this in other cities! Our driver was amazing, very knowledgeable, got us to the Acropolis before the crowd, so nice being dropped off and picked up. She gave us great insight as we were driving around, hit all the top highlights in Greece and even waited for us to gather up our luggage and check out of the hotel before taking us to the cruise terminal. What a wonderful day in Athens!

Great experience

Tour guide was exceptional. We were met at the luggage area by our guide even though we were 2 hours earlier than expected. She was very knowledgeable and took us to all the highlights of Athens.

Great Private 1/2 Day Tour of Athens.

Every stop our driver recommended was top notch. The only issue we had was the directions for pick up provided by Viator. We were instructed to walk quite a ways for pick up when our driver was literally sitting in front of our ship. A quick phone call and she found us and we were on our way. The car we were in just the 2 of us was a new Mercedes. We saw many sites but the highlight for this trip was the changing of the guard which the driver recommended.

This is a nice, personal, way to explore at your own pace. I also appreciated getting tips on things to do for our remaining days in Athens.

Fair trip

Not what I expected. Directions were confusing. Timing was off. Never had to use him for return to cruise ship. He wanted to take us back to ship at 5:30pm when last boarding was 5pm. You need lots of flexibility. To defend the trip. Traffic was terrible, lines at temple were so long and packed with people.

Excellent tour with Spiros.

Excellent tour! Our guide Spiros was great and we not only learned a lot about the beautiful sites, but also about other parts of the country and Greek culture. He always had cold bottles of water and snacks for us as well. Excellent transportation, communication and logistics and highly recommend him.

Great tour!

Our driver was beyond fabulous and so knowledgeable. I would recommend this to everyone! We had limited time as Athens was a lay over and he took us to all the right spots. He even took us to a local place for lunch.

Wonderful

He customized this to our wants and time frame. Picked up at cruise port and dropped off at airport. We even fit in relaxing at a restaurant on the beach prior to going to the airport as kids were exhausted and it was very hot at the historical sites.

We had a wonderful morning exploring Athens. Our driver was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed every stop. The sites/history were absolutely amazing.

5 hour Athens Tour

This was an excellent 5 hour tour with a great authentic Greek dinner to follow. The sights were amazing and not so busy for early July. Thanks for a great experience Spiros and Demetrius!!!!

False advertising

This is not a tour really. It's a glorified taxi ride. Rider was mostly silent, did speak 3 or 4 sentences.

Please pick pocket proof your trip to Athens

Well for many years of traveling I have never been pick pocketed until Saturday arriving at Syntagma square metro from the airport. I was only 5’ in front of bus toting a 40 and 50# suitcase when bumped from behind by a woman and felt my wallet go, I grabbed her arms so she couldn’t pass wallet to her accomplices and she dropped it. I was very lucky this time. A coworker at the airport was not lucky. We love it here and are having a great time so you must do your homework on how to avoid pick pockets and not be a victim. COVID kept the pick picketer's working from home now forced back working the streets more than ever. Be safe and enjoy Athens.

Not a tour a glorified taxi ride & a ripoff !!!

This experience was not a tour at all it was a glorified taxi ride from the airport. The driver was mostly silent for the entire ride & drove us through the ghetto part of town . It was so bad we had her drop us off at our hotel early . I could have saved a lot of money by just taking a taxi around town , because basically that’s what I got . I had to pay extra for airport pickup . What a ripoff!!!

Cosmos was the driver . So intelligent and knowledge in history . In my opinion I had the best guide in short frame of the time . Plus very friendly and I would raccomand to every one to try this taxi tour . Request cosmos . He is the best .

Great tour covering all the highlights

This was a great tour covering all the sightseeing highlights in a short amount of time. Your experienced driver gets you right to where you need to be. Had plenty of time to enjoy each of the sites we went to. Lots of snacks and water were provided for ride around town, and our driver gave us a great tip for a restaurant with a big selection of Greek dishes to try and a nice view of the Acropolis.

Our driver Chris was fantastic! She was waiting for us at the airport, showed us all the sights and dropped us off at our cruise terminal. She took great care of us and I would recommend her and this service to anyone.

Best Private Tour Ever

I wanted a private tour as I was by myself and this was even better than I imagined. Serafim was punctual, pleasant, extremely knowledgeable of the history, sights and I loved his use of graphics and technology to enhance perspective. He was very empathic to my mobility issues and he put me on a cable ride to the St Georges Kaboutis where there was the most amazing view of the city. He timed it so I able to see the Changing of the guard and parade. I got to see the Acropolis, Zeus' temple, stop at Plaka for some shopping and a bite to eat, and a great overall tour of Athens. I really received value for the price of the tour and I wish I had more time to take advantage of the other tours offered by this company. I will be using SLC Taxi Services on my next trip for all my transportation needs and tours. I have already recommended them to friends and family. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Enjoyable Half Day in Athens

Serafim was tremendous -- knowledgeable, enthusiastic and the ride was very comfortable. After 7 days of cruise tours by bus with big crowds, this was a pleasure and I'm sure we got to see a few things the bigger tours would not have included. Already recommended him to someone else and would sign up again if we're ever back in athens.

Amazing classy lady driver who was very knowledgeable and a great driver!

Chris was amazing she arrived very promptly in a very clean Mercedes Benz taxi. She helped us load everything and ended up taking her taxi to the airport because she was so nice. She told us about the history and background of each site we visited. She knew all the back roads to save time traveling around Athens. Highly recommended!!

Interesting perspective

So we enjoyed this experience if nothing else for the ability to have a reserved taxi the whole time we were in Athens. The driver recommended places to visit and knew the right amount of time for us to stay. With one exception that wasn’t in his control. The Parthenon.... we happened to go here when about 4 other cruise ships also had tours going. It was ridiculously overcrowded and took probably three times as long to do. Not the Taxis fault.... but we did use up about half of our time on just this location. They had cold water for each of the people in taxi, but with four of us and the driver, it was tight in the Mercedes sedan.

Seraphim was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He took us to some beautiful views and all the historical sites. He also recommended a great restaurant! We had a fabulous Experience and would definitely recommend this tour.

Nailed it!

Our driver Leonardo was an amazing guide. He tailored the schedule for the sites we wanted to see the most in order to give us enough time to enjoy them. His vehicle was clean and even provided bottled water for us upon arrival. The summer months are filled with tourist and are very hot however he made this experience better than we had expected. I highly recommend this activity for anyone visiting the city. Thank you again Leonardo!

Great overview of Athens

This was a great way to spend 1/2 a day seeing the highlights of Athens. Our driver was very knowledgeable, polite, professional and considerate. He spoke fluent English and was able to also hold the interest of our 2 teenagers! Thank you.

Amazing way to see Athens!

I really didn't know what to expect with this tour. It ended up being the PERFECT way to see the city. Leonardos was prompt and picked us up right outside our AirBnB. We got to spend the day with a knowledgable tour guide in a very clean and cool (it was 96 degrees out the day we toured) car. He organized the day perfectly, making sure to bring us to the important historical sites and waiting for us while we walked around, took pictures, etc. He also took us to a cool shopping area where we were able to walk around and get lunch, too. Although the tour was booked for four hours, I'm pretty sure we spent more like six with him. He knew so much about the city and was willing to answer all my annoying questions! We loved our day seeing the city with Leonardos and I highly recommend it for people who'd rather not walk to each of these sites, or for people who only have a day or two to see the city! Fast way to see Athens

We only had one day in Athens and we wanted to see main sites before we moved on to other islands. Our lovely guide George took us to main places around the city. He was very accommodating to our needs and allowed us to take or time in each section of the tour. We had a lovely dinner at the end. Thank you for wonderful experience!

Very Nice Day in Athens

Dimitri our driver was excellent. He took our 7 family members to the Acropolis and the Museum as well as other locations of interest around the city. We never felt rushed and he was very charming and we were able to ask him questions about the City and the people. We asked him about a place for dinner so he suggested an area on the waterfront near our cruise ship which had had a number of authentic, family owned restaurants. Thanks to him we had a very pleasant, interesting day in Athens.

We enjoyed the best day imaginable in Athens.<br/> The vehicle was very nice mercedes benz I thinkI can't imagine that going on the official tours would be better than this. We started our day at the Acropolis. Before we got out of the car Sarafin prepared us with information on exactly where to go and gave us the history behind what we would see here. Every instruction provided was perfect. <br/> We saw every major tourist attraction and more. What we really loved was how he was able to give us the Greek citizen perspective on everything. The personal touches like having cold water and snacks for us, taking us to off the beaten path sights, etc was so amazing. He advised on how much a taxi ride back to our hotel should be from the major shopping district and all of his advise was so helpful. He even gave us advise on the best place to have dinner overlooking the acropolis at night.This was a private tour at its best. If you go to Athens, be sure to check out Sarafin.</p>
