Fantastic Day trip to Delphi

We LOVED our day trip to Delphi with Giogos. He was wonderful. He had so much knowledge about the area and was able to answer all our questions. The restaurant he chose for lunch was terrific and we enjoyed the views from there. The drive was so comfortable and it was so sweet of him to give us the treats. We will recommend your travel company to all our friends. 5/5 stars!

A Perfect Day Trip to Delphi and Back

My husband and I had such a lovely time with Giorgos! He was an excellent driver and had answers to all our curious questions. Driving 3 hours each way to Delphi is a lot of time to spend in a car with someone, so he’s a true pro at good conversation. If you’re not the chatting type he doesn’t mind either, happy to just drive you out there and give you advice on seeing the site and the museum if that’s all you’re looking for. Delphi was of course breath-taking, and we were proud we made it all the way up to the stadium! A bucket list site for sure. On the way back, the restaurant Giorgos stopped at for lunch had a gorgeous view and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend this experience!

Great trip

George was great best driver to date He was fun, provided lots of information, great with our group of 6 woman. Provided bathroom breaks as the ride from Athens was 3 hours each way. Hopefully you will get George Hantzos are your trip.

Wonderful trip to Delphi!

George was a delightful, interesting and very knowledgeable driver, with much insight. His selection for our lunch spot was excellent and our meal and experience were most enjoyable. Our private guide in Delphi, Mariel, was fascinating and also quite knowledgeable. Both guides were very accommodating to our needs. It was a perfect day in every way!

Great personalized trip to Delphi

Prompt, professional and entertaining. They picked us up in the hotel in a new Mercedes and patiently answered our many questions about Greece and it’s history. We went into the Delphi complex on our own as they are not Delphi museum guides but it was easy to tour the site on our own as they had explained the history and what we would see on our drive from Athens to Delphi. We went to a beautiful, non-touristy restaurant for lunch, and walked through the beautiful town of Arachova on the way back. Nice mix of tailoring the information to our interests without giving us tiresome lectures typical of some guides. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic Delphi trip thanks to Crispy Local

Fantastic tour organised through crispy local. George our driver was extremely intuitive and flexible. He definitely understood what our needs new were and tailored the trip to suit our needs and mood (even without telling him). With two kids and the traffic jams getting in and out of Athens I was a bit concerned before the trip about how it would all turn out to be — but to my surprise it was a pleasant and scenic trip that never felt like a 2 and half our drive. lThe guide at Delphi also was very informative and gave us immense insight. Lunch at Delphi (at the restaurant that was reserved for us) was also a wonderful culinary delight

Very Informative

Very Informative tour and drive to Delphi from Athens and back. Our driver, George, filled us in on what's currently going on in Greece and the area we drove through. He was very knowledgeable and fun and interesting to talk to. The guide at Delphi made the site come alive. The lunch restaurant at Delphi had great service, great food, and a view that couldn't be beat. I highly recommend this tour! The time flew by!

Perfect day at Delphi

What a wonderful day we had at Delphi with Ioannis from Crispy Local, Athens. Great communication from the company, punctual and safe competent driving. Ioannis was very informative, friendly and obliging, we had an absolutely wonderful day seeing the sights at Delphi and would not hesitate to recommend.

A trip back in time

After our Cape Sounion tour we decided to book another tour with this company because of the incredible experience we had. They didn’t disappoint!!! I requested George again because of his knowledge and his personality. George wants you to have a good experience and makes it happen. I asked him about the Ossios Loukas monastery and he made time for us to stop &’so happy we did. Delphi is a lot of walking make sure you bring good walking shoes. We had rain today but we didn’t let it ruin anything! We went to a lovely restaurant and had a fabulous meal. It was 9 hours all day but such a lovely trip. The owner again texted me after the tour to ask me how everything went. The personal touches set them apart! Please book with them you won’t be sorry! Ask for George and tell him Katie sent you :)

Great experience!

A nice, easy ride to Delphi! Delphi was beautiful! Our driver also booked us to a beautiful little spot for lunch. The food was amazing. The ride home was great with stops for pictures or restrooms on return, if needed.

Beautiful Delphi

Our driver and guide George was excellent. Delphi is beautiful and we had an amazing lunch with a beautiful view after touring the ruins and the museum. Bus drive was about 2.5 hours there (stopped for a bathroom break!) and about 2 hours on the way back. I would highly recommend this tour and George!

Nice day trip, but more of a taxi driver service than a tour guide.

This day trip is a hard one to rate. Our driver, Dimetris, was very nice, but didn't speak English well. We had a difficult time communicating. We knew we would need to buy all tickets to events. But, we expected Dimertris to provide more information on the areas we visited, as well as to point out interesting tidbits along the way. Basically, we had a taxi driver in a private van. We enjoyed the sites and Dimetris did recommend a great luncheon place. We had other day trips in Greece with Tripadvisor vendors, and all provided wonderful guidance, information and history for all trips.

Treat Yourself To The Best Driver In Athens.

We decided to reserve this company, Crispy Local, to drive us from Athens to Delphi, for the day. We almost took a bus tour and it would have been fine, however, we had our own driver in a Mercedes, a local Athenian driver, John P, who was knowledgeable about the area; and most of all, we could control our schedule. John picked us up on-time at 8:00 a.m. at our Air B&B door. He jumped out of the car and took our backpacks. Every time we got in and out of the car, all day long, he jumped out and opened the door! We had a great conversation on the way to Delphi and John dropped us right in front of the entrance. He picked us up in two hours I’m front of the museum and took us to an outstanding restaurant, in Delphi village. We had a panoramic view of the valley below from a gorgeous deck. John picked us up after a 90 minute lunch and we drove two hours to our Athens Air B&B! When we asked to stop for use of the facilities or wanted to buy an energy drink, no problem. We charged our phone in the car as well. We would have snoozed on the way back but it was too interesting talking with John. He arranged for a taxi to get us at 6:00 a.m. the next morning to go to the ferry (after our Air B&B host didn’t confirm with us). John left us with a couple of really thoughtful parting gifts - Kalamata olive oil (from his own orchard) and Turkish gel candies! It was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend this company. John also has an Air B&B called The Backyard, I’m Kalamata, Greece. It is a country villa with a pool. When we return to Greece, we plan to stay there!

Perfect Experience-Highly Recommend

John was outstanding. Communication was clear and easy. He arrived on time, and his Mercedes car is immaculately clean and comfortable. He provides just enough information and conversation to entertain but also let’s you take in and enjoy the scenery. The entire experience was a pleasure and I highly recommend John’s tour. The price, too, is outstanding.

Delphi! A must-see!

A great trip to the mountains. The views and sites are beautiful. The lunch spot the tour guide recommended was delicious and the view was spectacular! Wear good shoes. Lots of uphill and downhill walking.

Great Tour and great value!

We had a private tour and loved our driver and guide, George. He was so knowledgeable about history, government, politics, arts, social life, etc. He made sure to point out and comment on points of interest that we may not have otherwise noticed. We went to Delphi and Cape Sounion, so there was lots to see! George was kind, patient, and has a great sense of humor! I would highly recommend this company and George!

We had a great time in Delphi - our driver gave us suggestions and was very knowledgable but allowed us to walk round Delphi in our own time - which was great no being rushed nor waiting around for others - he also suggested a great restaurant in Delphi for was delicious - great time

A Delightful Day in Delphi

We had a fabulous day in Delphi! The scenery is gorgeous with the mountainous terrain and the ruins and museum are amazing! Loannis was wonderful and didn’t make us feel rushed while enjoying everything that the day offered. He chose a delicious place for us to have lunch which had a beautiful view and nice ambiance. Walking the charming village of Arachova afterwards was enjoyable. The whole day was a 10 and we highly recommend this trip with Loannis. Thanks so much for a memorable day on our 1st trip to Greece!

We decided to book this tour because we were told that the Museum is one of the best. We feel very lucky that we booked with Crispy Local! Our driver was punctual and knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable all the way. The archaeological site at a mountainous area and the views are great. We stopped at a really charming restaurant where local dishes were served and we had a great meal! Also the stop at Arachova village really made the trip more fun!

Great time at the center of the world

We had in our bucket list for many years a visit to Delphi the center of the world! Indeed the place is magnificent and it gives you the idea that is still alive! Probably one of the best museums in Greece and the archaeological site offers great views! The restaurant that John suggested was top notch! Thank you for a great day!

We enjoyed a amazing day trip to Delphi, the major oracle of ancient Greece. The beauty of the landscape and the and the energy we felt while being at this sacred place was unique. What a fabulous experience! We thoroughly recommend Crispy Tours and this private Full-Day Delphi tour. The drive to and from Delphi gave us the opportunity to see the beautiful country side and charming villages. Upon arrival we were met by our competent, knowledgeable guide who escorted us through the museum and told us about the many valuable and interesting exhibits before we moved outside to the archeological site. We would have missed so much without an escort! The Temple of Apollo and other ruins were a true highlight. After a beautiful lunch in the village of Delphi we were driven back to Athens.

Where the Eagles crossed

Our day trip was most excellent. Our guide was just exceptional!! Ioannis was a perfect host, guide, inspiration, and gentleman. We could not have asked for better. His outlook on many facets of life, history, economics, and the world was a refreshing conversation during our drive to Delphi, during out tour, and most certainly during lunch at a local cafe' in Delphi so well chosen by our host. Ioannis has a good mastery of the English language and made it very easy to communicate. My wife and I have traveled the world, taken many many personal tours, guided by numerous individuals, and we feel that the guide by Crispy Local (Ioannis) was certainly one of the best we've encountered. So, we highly recommend him to anyone who wished to experience Greece, Athens, the Oracle at Delphi, or any other wine or scenic touring. Thank you Ioannis for such a wonderful day seeing the number two destination for antiquities in all of Greece.

Zuerst einmal muss ich erwähnen, dass ich sehr anspruchsvoll bin, was individuelle Trips angeht. Mr. George war unser Reiseführer und der Trip war perfekt. Keine Hektik, kein Zeitdruck und Mr. George war so flexibel und erfüllte jeden Wunsch. Auch das Fahrzeug war ein luxeriösers Mini Van. Was mir auch sehr gut gefallen hat, waren die Diskussionen mit Mr. George. Er hat uns jede Frage beantwortet und somit verging die Zeit wie im Flug. Wir würde hier jederzeit wieder Buchen. Wir würden mit diese Reiseagentur zu 100% wieder Buchen.

Passamos um dia bem agradável ao lado do nosso simpático e gentil guia, o senhor George. Na ida ele parou para fazermos fotos em alguns lugares peculiares como Lagos e a vista da cidade de Arachova. Nos contou fatos e a história dos lugares. Nosso primeiro destino foi o Templo de Apolo onde tem também o oráculo. Logo ao lado fica o museu de Delfos. Na saída, o nosso guia estava nos aguardando e nos levou a um restaurante bem próximo o de tivemos um ótimo almoço com uma vista espetacular! No retorno, ele nos levou ao tema lo de Athina, nos mostrou o local onde aconteciam as lutas na antiguidade e pudemos caminhar no gracioso vilarejo de Arachova. Gostamos muito!

Yannis bietet die PERFEKTE Tagestour nach Delphi an! Wir hatten einen herrlichen Tag! Ein von ihm privat organisierter Guide ermöglichte es uns, genau das anzuschauen, was wir machen wollten. Er traf uns im Apollotempel / Orakel von Delphi an und führte uns durch das Museum und die Ruinen. Er war unglaublich kompetent! Nach unserer Führung dort brachte uns Yannis zu einem großartigen Restaurant, in dem wir vor unserer Rückreise nach Athen zu Mittag aßen. Es war ein toller Tag - Danke Yannis!

Belissímo!!!

A parte arqueológica é super difícil de descrever, de tão maravilhosa! Pois é um misto de beleza com historia cercado por paisagens maravilhosas com montanhas e uma vegetação belíssima. No passeio ainda passamos pra conhecer a cidade de Delfos e um vilarejo encantador chamado Arachova. Fomos em passeio privado com a Georges Taxis com um motorista super simpático chamado Alex ele foi perfeito e nos deu aulas maravilhosas. Super recomendo!
