Great guide and experience

On time easy meet up . Guide Sarah was very knowledgeable. The coach( bus) was comfortable and driver very professional. It’s a long drive from Athens but well worth it. The museum was also well done.

Nice side trip from Athens

Nice side trip from Athens. The pick up location was easy to find. Our guide gave a mythology lesson along the ride - which is perfect given where you’re headed. Wish we had more time in Arachova, but that was more of a traffic issue due to the highway being partially closed.

Excellent tour. A must if your are in Greece

The Parthenon and the Greek mythology. Fascinating with all these temples Please try the zucchini balls in Arachova. Absolutely fabulous

Great tour

Really amazing tour. Our guide was very informative and helpful. Amazing way to see Delfi, having a guide through the museum and the site was the best way to go.

DO NOT BE LATE FOR THIS ONE - they will LEAVE YOU!

They left me when I was late less than five minutes. They said be there at 8:20 am. I arrived at the metro stop at exactly 8:20. I walked the 50 meters over to where the meeting point was as per google maps. There was no blue umbrella. I called them twice and no pickup. Finally when they answered my call they said that they had already left and they could reschedule me for the following day. So I did that. The next day even though we were scheduled for 8:20 the same as the day before we ended up leaving at 8:32 am. Also, I ordered the prepaid lunch meal and there was a screw up at the restaurant and after like 15 minutes of waiting when everybody else had their food the waitress brought out something I hadn’t ordered and asked if it was okay if I just eat that…well, I guess so if that’s all you have for me…jeez. On the plus side the tour guide was knowledgeable and good. Delphi was amazing and the town of Arachova was so beautiful. I would recommend Delphi and Arachova but maybe with a different company as it just wasn’t up to par with other tours I’ve been on in Southern Europe.

Wonderful day in Delphi

We enjoyed a wonderful journey to Delphi from Athens. It was a bit of a long drive but worth it to experience the amazing history of Ancient Greece from Athens. In addition to our knowledgeable guide, we had a lovely lunch in Arachova and saw the village’s beautiful views. Great tour.

The way to see Delphi when in Athens

Sofia is a marvelous guide - highly knowledgeable extremely organized. Everything went off without a hitch. Lunch at the Taverna following the tour was delicious! Bus was extremely comfortable. This is a great way to see Delphi when in Athens.

Delphi experience

The trip was very educational and Sofia our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Petro the driver was excellent. Throughly enjoyed the trip even the weather was a bit hot

Fantastic tour to Delphi and Arachova

Our family had an excellent day trip to Delphi with fantastic tour guide Sofia. Despite unusually hot weather, Sofia and our bus driver Petrus made it all very pleasant and comfortable on the round trip to Delphi and back to Athens, with views of Mount Parnassus and a stop in Arachova on the trip back. Sofia was super engaging and knowledgeable, with overviews of Greek mythology, landmarks, and other highlights on the bus starting as we headed out of Athens, leading us on foot at the archaeological site at Delphi, and guided us through the exhibits in the museum there. Just the right information, stops for bathrooms, water, and food. The family-run restaurant, Ladokolla, where we stopped for late lunch in Arachova enroute back to Athens has a panoramic open air view and delicious food including the local specialty, grilled Formaela cheese -- perfect way to cap off the afternoon. The one thing I might have added was to note as the bus passed by a memorial to the Greek civilians massacred by Nazis at Distomo. So much ancient history but there is recent history too.

Boring and Tedious

Not worth the money. Our tour guide took too long to explain anything. She would always say “I am going to tell you” before telling you. She had no pictures to show of what the site looked like before destruction and some of her facts were wrong. The ruins are a small area but some are well preserved. Honestly you could read a Rick Steves review and find out everything you need to know.

A fabulous sight to see

First of all, the tour guide Georgina is amazingly knowledgable and charming, and the site is indeed fabulous and everyone should go. But the downside is that this really is a solid 3-hour ride there and more on the return due to severe traffic. Arachova is a fun little town but there is little time for lunch or to explore it. I think some additional thought into the structure of the day needs to be given.

The museum is well curated and laid out. Tiahma was excellent as a guide. Knowledgeable and able to answer questions.

Beautiful Delphi

Our trip to Delphi was amazing! Wear a hat, the sun is intense! Arachova is a charming little town. I wish we had just a littlw more time to explore it after the late lunch. Our tour guide was great - informative and easy to understand.

Great day and tour with Georginia but skip the lunch option

We really enjoyed seeing Delphi with Georginia. She was friendly and knowledgeable and the archeological site and museum were well worth seeing. The bus was great, with wifi, chargers and comfortable seats and temperature. When we ran into stopped traffic in Athens due to a protest, we appreciated Georgiana's adaptability in giving us a choice to disembark in a different spot than our pick up to avoid the gridlock. However, there were opportunities for improvement. We appreciated the guidance in the museum but would have liked a little time on our own to explore it. We definitely needed more time in Arachova - we didn't get to see it at all because the group lunch took so long..and the lunch was pretty bad. One of our group didn't get her meal with the rest of us and when she finally got it, it was still partly frozen inside. The rest of the food was just OK. They didn't have TP in the bathroom. I'd recommend packing a sandwich and doing lunch on your own. Athens traffic is awful - this tour may need to adjust its departure/return times to give more time at the site and less spent on the road in gridlock!

Highly recommend

Such a memorable experience! The tour met at an easy to find location. The tour started while we were making our way out of Athens, which was a pleasant surprise to me. The history of Greece was amazing as we made our way to Delphi. We stopped about halfway to Delphi for a restroom/snack break and then reached Delphi. The museum was amazing! To witness all the artifacts and see the sculptures was one of the best parts. One the way back, we stopped at Arachova for lunch. I did not purchase the included lunch, and instead found a lovely restaurant/cafe with amazing views and food. I asked my seat mate how he enjoyed the paid lunch, and he said it wasn't worth it. So I'm happy I followed the reviews and ate elsewhere. Arachova is a quaint and cute little town. The views are spectacular! Definitely recommend!

Long and thorough day trip with great educational value

Thorough experience that took over 9 hours. Excellent guide. Great stops; beautiful transport coach. We had a great time, met people, great lunch, bit of shopping, lots of walking. Be prepared to be worn out at end of day

Our tour guide Liz was an essential and valuable part of our guided bus tour to Delphi.

We visited Delphi with #tag Athens and cannot speak highly enough of our fantastic tour guide Elizavetta (Liz). The tour was well organised - an air conditioned bus trip, a stop for buying refreshments and souvenirs, a tour of the Delphi site and a lower temple site, then lunch at Arachova with local dishes and another chance to buy souvenirs. However, the very best part of the trip was the commentary and personality of our tour guide Elizavetta. She is very knowledgeable and, as a teacher, she was very helpful in conveying information so that it would be more easily retained. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience. Our guide was excellent and the archaeological sites and museum were fascinating. I wish we’d had more time in town, but there are only so many hours in a day!

Wonderful trip. Delphi is a don’t miss site. Our guide, Elizaveth was extremely knowledgeable, articulate and personable. The long day was broken up nicely to keep it interesting. All in all, a great day and more than worth doing.

The bus comfortable and cool. The guide very knowledgeable and gracious, lunch fantastic. My only suggestion: bring xtra water and umbrellas to help with sun's heat in the summer

Fantastic tour

Dora the Explorer was a fabulous tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and told great stories about what we were seeing. The whole tour was amazing and I highly recommend it.

Worth the day!

Tiama was an awesome guide and the entire experience and package was well worth it. The tour was very professional, informative, and prompt. Tiama was very knowledgeable and accommodating towards each guest on the tour. It was one we were looking forward to and certainly did not disappoint. Get the option with the lunch - it was all worth it, too. :)

Worth a trip

Seeing the famous site of Delphi and being able to spend time exploring Arachova. I picked this tour because it includes Arachova and I love these quaint old towns. The tour guide was friendly and spoke clearly. The drive was a bit long but it's nice to see some of the Greek country side.

Great Day Trip to Delphi

We had a great time seeing the history at Delphi and our guide Myrto (aka 'Shorty') was awesome! Great to get out and learn more about Greece and the Delphi site and the lunch at Oistros in Arachova was incredible. If you are spending a few days in Athens, make sure to take this trip.

Great visit

Georgina was a lovely tour guide. Delphi is magnificent. The lunch was good not great and a bit rushed. The drive time is 3 hours solid.

Delphi

Tour guide was more interested in finding shade than giving information. There were several groups at the site and I heard the other tour guides and they were much better than ours. Find someone else. We also had a tour scheduled for Corinth with this same company and they cancelled the day before the trip.

Delphi good. Archova could be done better.

Guide was very informative at Delphi. Archova stop could have been better. We were dropped off for lunch about 10 min walk from the stunning view part of town. Told we would be picked up same spot in an hour. But instead had to rapidly walk thru town to get to the bus only to realize that is where we should have been dropped off. Or at least told to make our way there so we could enjoy the views, take pics and not have to rush.

Day trip to Delphi, would do it again in a heartbeat.

The tour leader was extremely accommodating and took the time to make sure that everyone was well taken care of on the trip to Delphi.

Amazing sightseeing and historical tour!

Absolutely delighted with the tour! Excellent organisation, a comfortable bus, headsets. A special delight was to listen to our guide Sofia! Great experience with a delicious lunch in a small town on the way back to Athens.

We had a great time. Our tour guide was well informed and provided information about Athens along the way to the archeology site and then there at the site. While I appreciated what our tour guide was trying to share, I felt moved along when we were in the museum from another tour group that felt our tour group was taking longer.

Awesome views and nice memories :)

I enjoyed in particular Arachova as in Delphi, I was quite annoyed that we could have not reach the stadium etc. Some parts were unfortunately and unexpectedly closed. Moreover, all shops were closed, so we could have not bouht any local cheese etc. :( Nevertheless, the trip was awesome. Thanks for the guide who knew a lot :)

Wonderful Tour

We had a wonderful tour to Delphi. The weather was gorgeous. It was well organized. Our guide Angela was very informative. On the ride to Delphi she gave us the history of the towns we passed. We had a wonderful tour of the ancient ruins and the museum. Stopped in Arachova a charming village on the way home and had a good meal. Only wish we’d had more time but that’s always the problem!

Tour of the center of the world

Our guide, Shorty, was wonderful. She conducted a thoughtful, colorful, and very informative tour of Delphi her attentiveness to the tourist participating was exemplary.

Stevie is an excellent...

Stevie is an excellent guide, with a thorough knowledge of Greek culture, mythology, and history. She is a skilled communicator. Moreover, she is friendly and both willing and able to offer individual advice and deal with questions. She directed us to a good coffee shop before we got on the bus for the return ride to Athens. My wife determined that this was the best of all touring options among the various companies, because it gave a fully guided tour of the important sites at Delphi and included the nearby village of Arachova for lunch and shopping on our own. This was an important stop, because after a long ride from Athens and intensive tour of the archaeological sites, Arachova offered a breather before the two and 1/2 hour to three hour ride back. Some participants told us that they enjoyed the lunch. My wife and I brought our own picnic, which we had on a bench near the clock tower, where there is a beautiful view, so we could more quickly get to tour and do a little shopping in Arachova.

Delphi Tour

My wife and I went on this tour at the end of May. Our guide, Vicky, was excellent. She told mythological stories that connected to the landscape we drove past and brought history to life at Delphi and in the museum following. Arachova was beautiful. Our only regret is not having more time to explore the town.

Delphi tour

This tour was very good, I really enjoyed the bus drive and the tour guide was fantastic. The bus driver was very good and was extremely good in the windy paths leading up to Delphi. Edward. Aged 11

Delphi area is beautiful

Loved learning about Delphi. Exceptionally beautiful area!! The bus ride was uneventful. There is a stop on the way up. Lunch is not until 3pm so I recommend getting something to eat/drink at the stop. The site requires up hill climbing so wear appropriate shoes. The tour was good. The guide however, was grumpy. I understand that dealing with tourist all day is exhausting. We had some interesting characters on the tour. Her English was hard to understand and some poor fellow asked a question she had just answered and she did not hide her annoyance. My family found the humor in it. We paid for the lunch. It was decent. The convenience of having the lunch ready was worth it. On the way back we got into traffic, no one’s fault. We got back after 7pm. Overall, nice tour. Delphi is worth seeing.

Wonderful trip. Plan for an 11 hour day but worth every minute. Vicki was a great tour guide. The bus was very comfortable too.

Busy trip

Lots of steps and a knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed stopping for lunch in a quaint Greek countryside town.

Beautiful Delphi

Tour started promptly which is a plus! The drive from Athens is long but the tour guide highlighted museums, gardens, and gave history of it as we drove. She also explained about Greek mythology and Roman influence / take. At Delphi our guide continued with detailed explanations thru the museum and at the sites. Truly amazing site! Our driver was also excellent and we were impressed with how well he maneuvered the tight streets and curves thru Arachova. Oh, and lunch was excellent! Highly recommend this tour.

Great Experience

This was an excellent experience. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Oracle and the art in the Museum. The tour was well organized and the guide was clear about time limits. I highly recommend this tour

Delphi and Arachova day trip

Vikki was a wonderful guide; so enthusiastic and she brought Delphi to life! Mynamos (sp?) was a safe driver and a courteous gentleman. The tour began on time, our meal In Arachova was excellent, and the host was warm and welcoming. A great trip!

Delphi site was beautiful but the tour guide was not great.

The area around Delphi was beautiful. We stopped in Arachova for lunch, very picturesque. The monuments around Delphi were interesting, but I felt like the pacing for the tour and the tour guide Irene were not great. Irene gave us a lot of information but it was almost too much. There were no pauses, no time given to take pictures, no interesting stories...it was like someone reading a textbook really fast at you. She was just not very engaging. We eventually just kind of wandered off to do our own thing by the time we got to the museum and stopped listening. The lunch was also not great and we had to hurry to walk back to the bus with no time to really shop in Arachova. The whole tour felt rushed considering we were on a bus for 6 hours.

A well spent day.

Vicki our guide was very friendly and knowledgable. The bus driver was skilled. I felt safe travelling through the mountain roads and also the city afternoon traffic.

A must see destination

A must see trip if one is interested in ancient history and Greek mythology. Provide a unique perspective to our current day civilization and its evolvement. Tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about her work.
