Great day to get away from Athens

This was an excellent day trip! Chryssa was our guide and she did an amazing job providing details as well as giving us tips and recommendations to eat . Our driver George did so well navigating traffic and getting us there and back without a problem. I would recommend this trip to anyone that is wanting to venture out a bit from Athens!

Horrible company: Viator

The instruction of Avion and the Tour operator send us to another location than the given adress. So we were to late for the excursion, called and emailed to Viator, but they don’t give our money back. They just say it is there final decision. Absolutely scandolous! Never do anything with this company!!

Delphi a must!

We had an amazing guide whose knowledge entertained us for large portions of the trip. Access to the grounds and sites were amazing. What a beautiful setting!

Great value and tour

Tour guide was excellent. Her English was great and very informative. Although out of the way, the start and drop off location was really good since it is faster to get around on the metro than driving. The lunch location in Arachova was wonderful-one of our best meals in Greece.

Great daytrip

Great way to spend a day outside Athens. Great mountain scenery! Arachova is a nice little added bonus stop

A worthy way to spend the day out of Athens...

We were late, traffic in Athens is really bad... so please take the metro! however, they waited for us. Sorry to my fellow tourists. The guide was well verse with the myths and history. We had a lovely time. The road is terrible, I hope i could drive there myself, but the driver is very gentle and quite a safe driver.

Delphi, Arachova, and Giorgi

Giorgi, our guide, was phenomenal. Informative, warm, and humorous. Shared a lot of information about the history and mythology of the sites visited, as well as Greek culture more broadly. Sufficient time given for each site - neither of which need evaluation! A highlight of this trip.

Delphi magic in May

Incredible views and history! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to explore at our own pace and take many photos. May is a great time to go as the weather is getting warmer but not hot, plus there are lots of spring flowers dotted around the sites making it pretty and magical!

Best day of the holiday!

Great day!! The views were amazing and Delphi was out of this world! Our bus was very comfortable and our English speaking guide was excellent. One of the best days of our holiday. Arachova is a beautiful town to stop in. Wonderful day, cannot recommend it enough!!!!!

Worth it!

An excellent day well worth doing. Our guide Giarggi (very loose guess at spelling) was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and the day ran very smoothly. So good to be able to see more of Greece so easily and to see the special site of Delphi.

Great Trip to Learn and Explore

Walking around Delphi was great. Make sure you also go to the Temple of Athena. The food at Arachova was excellent!

Theo was a great guide and very kind. The views were beautiful!!! Recommend to all. The bus was comfortable and stoped along the way for a break! Great job!

Didn't like that much. Just transportatiin. Not a guided tour.

The guide didn't join us to the site and museum. Which was a big deception for me. Other groups were followed by a guide who was telling and paying attention to important details.

Delphi and Arachova, the best!

We had a wonderful time! Our guide, Angelica (I think was her name), was the best. She was sweet and told great stories and was super helpful. I would tour with this company again.

Very punctual tour. Guide on the bus was knowledgeable and gave a succinct description of what we would see, as well as good places to eat in arachova after.

Ammen Tours Sucks

We followed emailed instructions to a tee. We were unable to locate the bus or the guide. Due to this we were unable to the the tour. Ammen Tours was no help. They were called multiple times and kept telling us we were in the wrong place. We've been to Greece on several occasions and are familiar with the Greek Metro system and were not in the wrong place. DO NOT TOUR WITH AMMEN TOURS.

Stunning views - worth it!

At first I wasn’t sure this would be worth it because we already saw the Acropolis and the Parthenon is a more complete structure however I was wrong. What makes Delphi so amazing is the views and the rich history. It was just stunning and the village we stopped in was charming. The bus is a large coach bus which was very nice and the guide was excellent.

Delphi should not be missed.

Delphi is a wonderful place to visit - you need an hour or more to explore the site and the same to visit the museum. We had plenty of time and then had a couple of hours in the nearby village of Arahova to eat and explore. Our guide was very efficient and friendly and knew a great deal of history - we had a condensed history of Greece on the journey up.

Lovely experience :)

The trip was well organized, the driver and the guide were both very sweet. The guide (Vivien) spoke very interestingly, we loved all the information and fun facts she gave us. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I recommend it to everyone from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Overwhelming Delphi experience

I reserved this tour for a family trip and honestly Dimitra was fascinating. Her knowledge of Greek history was huge and her manner of telling us in gist made the whole trip far more interesting. Also loved her sense of humour. Pros - You can learn about Greek history and learn more with other exhibitions and sights in Athens. - Pick-up was smooth, the drive to Delphi was scenic - All the stops during the drive were nice. Especially the first place. Lots of cute cats and nice pastries. - Delphi in winter was still very lush and the temperature was just right. Couldn’t imagine going there in winter. - Having free time in Arachova was so much fun! Looking around shops and having lunch and not be forced to eat at one place was nice. Cons - The meeting point is in the outskirts of Athens. Avoiding traffic was nice, but it’s important to plan ahead to get there in time. - Sadly the people we were traveling with just couldn’t arrive in time at any place. We needed to wait every time for every stop… Well, nothing’s perfect. All in all, I can only recommend this tour! One of the best meals we had in Arachova and the snowy mountains in the background made it look like a small Swiss village. Very unique experience!

Bad experience

Trip was just a drive to Delphi and Arachova. The guide did not guide anything. He asked us to take pictures if we had questions and bring. Pictures back to him in the van if we wanted answers. Assistant to him in training was useless.

Very nice tour, the guide Apostolis was a professional and had a historical background! Delfi and Arachova were amazing places, worth visiting!

Amazing Delphi tour

Our archeologist, English speaking driver was most interesting and engaging re: Culture and history of Greece in general, and specifically Delphi, where we toured. An incredibly beautiful and ancient historic sight. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience in Delphi and Arachova

Great guide gave full history of Delphi and of places we passed on the way from Athens, gave us tips on places to see in Arachova, and even made an unscheduled quick stop I requested at a World War II resistance monument.

It was a very pleasant trip - the pace was neither too fast nor too slow. The Delphi Archeological Site and Arachova village are beautiful. Roberto was a nice and accomodating guide. Would recommend!

Amazing views, site, and guide!

Our tour guide, Vasilis, was very knowledgeable. On the bus and during downtime he would tell us all about the history and mythology of what we were going to see and Greece in general. He was probably the best guide we had (and we did 4 different tours while in Greece). Delphi was breathtaking. Arachova was nice too. The views were incredible. Worth the trip and money. Thanks for a great experience.

Fabulous excursion

This was a fabulous excursion. I highly recommend it. The amount of time is good but could be extended another hour or two. Also, a specific designated meeting area at the sites would be preferred instead of a gerneral area. For example, "Meet at the playground" instead of "Walk 7 minutes past the houses and you will see the bus" would be better BUT was not a problem. Iloved it. Thank you!

Wonderful day at Delphi and Arachova

Delphi site walk and the museum as well as Arachova village. Very beautiful and ancient history all round and amazing spots to explore.

Great trip!

Angelina was wonderful, a great guide to the history of the area. She balanced sharing the historical context and giving us personal time to explore. It was a beautiful drive outside of Athens with a stop at local coffee shop, very tasty! The village was also wonderful, great taverns and local shops. It was a great trip, highly recommend!

Amazing Tour To Delphi

One of the most in depth tours when it comes to knowledge gained. Our tour guide was a cornucopia of archeological facts and the history of Delphi. Truly a great tour and we had plenty of free time in each major stop.

Amazing Delphi and Arachova Tour!!

It was amazing seeing the beautiful Delphi temples in the mountains and also checking out the museums and seeing the beautiful town of Arachova! Our tour guide was very friendly and professional and it was so cool that she was an archaeologist! She was knowledgeable about the sites and we really enjoyed the tour!

Excellent day trip

It was a small group so we didn’t go by bus but a nice spacious van. Theodore the driver/guide was very knowledgeable. He also checks on you and make sure everything is great. Though the trip was a bit long but it was worth it. I highly recommend this day tour.

It was an excellent tour, we had to reschedule because we made a mistake on the original booming day, the staff was very helpful! During the tour the van was comfortable, the guide knew a lot and was very nice Arachova was a surprise, we didn t expect such a nice village

A great day in the centre of the world with Angelina

The most memorable parts of all excursion was a grandiose lanscape, majestic hills, museum's exhibition and especially a highly professional and enthuziastic work of our guide Angelina. The plan of excursion both in Delphi and Arachova was very good, the programme of the day was saturated, not overloaded with information and extra movement but flexible and free. Angelina's knowledge, admirable energy, kind of communication, sincerity, openess and care for everyone, as well as her personal harisma and sucessful tandem with our bus drive rmade this day and excursion wonderful and unforgetable. I and my friend Ieva, we both really felt themselves as in the centre of the world, history and great human experience. I have been on a lot of excursions with my family, friends and colleagues in Europe, Asia, Africa, USA, etc. but this excursion is one of the best that I have ever experienced. The tour guide Vivian was very knowledgeable and looked after us through our journey. The bus driver Bill, very professional. Over all it was an awesome experience, the Delphi Temple and Arachova it is a must visit place by everyone who are up for a great experience and good food. I highly recommend this!

Excellent experience

Theodore was the best possible guide for this trip. He was helpful, friendly, greeted us at the station and I am not even talking about his fun and professional attitude during the trip. His knowledge and story-telling skills really blew us away! Moreover, the trip itself was very smooth, weather was beautiful and the sights are definitely one of a kind. This tour was absolutely fantastic! Vasilis was amazing and provided so many insights into Greek mythology, historical events and details about the surrounding area on the bus rides to and from Delphi. The site was incredible and it was so nice and peaceful to explore on your own, after Vasilis told us all about what we would see and look for. The stop in Arachova on the journey home was beautiful and we had amazing food (recommended by Vasilis). The day felt like it went very quickly and it was very enjoyable. One of the best guides we had and we would take any tour he led. Vasilis the bus driver was also fantastic at navigating us up and down the mountain.
