Exactly as expected- solid way to see city.

Hop On/Off buses are always a great way to see a lot in a short period of time. I wish I had more time and I wish all of the headphone jacks worked - that was my only complaint.

Provided headset makes it impossible to hear the guided tour

This issue is more a general but happened with me during my recent visit in Athens. The operatore is realiable and provides what is purchased. However the headset the provide makes it almost impossible to hear the guideded tour. One would assume this being one of the most important parts that they make sure you can hear the audio. I strongly advise to fix this issue otherwise it can not be recommend this tour

Would be better when it was a bit cooler.

Information aboard was good, but it wa hot and took 2.5 hours to do the full loop. Staff were friendly and driving was good.

Highlights of Athens

This was a great way to see the city. We only had 24 hours in Athens and this tour was a MUST! We saw most of the historical sights and leaned so much history.

Convenient and worth it

Fantastic way to get around the city and learn about a lot of the history! There are things we would have missed and not known about, if we hadn’t ridden! The only downside was the communication of how to find the stops. The info given on aviator just said to “get on at any of the stops listed.” But exactly where those meetups were in some of the bigger areas was confusing. We ended up having to chase a bus down the first time outside the Acropolis Museum.

Just fine

This was a fine way to get around the city. The audio aspect was a bit difficult to hear and understand with all the bus noises and accent. We had to leave the city earlier than we would have because the last bus that would get us back to the cruise ships left at 6.

Thankful for a person at the bus stop explaining the different buses and routes. Very confusing otherwise

Easy to use and no long wait time. Was able to see all the sites we had on our itinerary. Pleasant experience.

Great bus trips with 3 routes all worth a go .

Excellent routes to get a feel of Athens , the port and beach areas - well organised and easy to use . Worth doing 2 days if have time so can go back and hope off - suggest one day to stay on bus and do all circuits then target place to hope off to explore - outside of time the buses are about every hour so needs a little planning - excellent

Convenient sight seeing

Took the Athens line and felt like it hit the major tourist spots. Be sure to grab headphones at the front of the bus because that’s how you hear the narration of the stops.

Easy to use with many choices that made us very comfortable in such a large city. Allowed us to cover a lot of ground in 2 days.

Tour of Athens

A great way to see the sites in Athens! One of the double decker buses that we took did not have a roof on the top floor, so it was very hot on a sunny June day. Buses come frequently.

Great 2 day pass

We used our first day to hit all of the sites in and around Athens. Stopped a lot and just hopped on the next bus. Day 2 we went to the cruise terminal area and along the water. Just got off and on at one stop

Only ok! Wouldn’t do again. Stops weren’t announced. Would do a different tour next time. The stops were on ok.

Fantastic way to see Athens. The staff are fantastic. They are knowledgeable about the areas. Cost effective way to see Athens without the stress of taxis or driving yourself.

Great to get your bearings

Great way to get your bearings around the busy city streets. Regular buses with stops located at key sights. Some parts of the route follow the same roads. Be careful of where you hop on to avoid this.

Pick another hop on hop off!

This hop on hop off bus was the worst experience. We are currently on a 10 day cruise and chose this tour for Athens. The wait at the pick up location to return to the port was over an hour. They promised a bus every 1/2 hour when we first booked and changed it to every hour the day of. All the other bus companies Sights of Athens for example had numerous buses. This company had numerous buses also unless you’re trying to make it back to the port. No one else had a couple hundred of people waiting. I very rarely write reviews but they deserve ZERO stars!

Hop on Hop off

This hop on hop off hit so many of the must see spots with a bit of walking but that’s with anything sightseeing tour. I will be during more of these in other places I visit.

Awesome way to see Athens!

This is a very useful way of seeing the city in a short space of time. It had a great selection of sites to visit. The Athens and Piraeus lines had something for everyone. We booked the three line tour; however, we were unable to get on to the purple Beach/Riviera bus - the marked purple line bus was actually on the green Piraeus route and by the time we were notified it was too late to get on to the purple line. Be prepared for packed busses!

Good tour, bad traffic

Athens traffic is terrible. This of course then impact's your perception of the experience. The bus drivers are really friendly even picking people up between stops, because they are stopped in traffic, but still nice. The commentary you get via the pre-recorded guide is very helpful and pleasant. Definitely worth the money, but be prepared for horrible traffic and intermittent schedule due to the traffic.

Great way to see Top Tourist spots

Buses were convenient for hitting the tourist highlights. We didn’t use them as much as usual because of our time constraints, but it was worth the money. Only com was when the shut down 2 of 3 buses at the Akropolis and everyone had to squeeze into 1, which was miserably hot and crowded.

A very good way to get around Athens and see the main sights

This is a great way to see Athens. Most of the places you will want to visit are on the circuit and the commentary is quite useful. If is certainly a better way to get around for a day than using a normal bus or a taxi.

Seeing Athens

It was a good overview of Athens. In 2 days we were only able to go on 2 of the 3 routes mostly because there was something traffic. I love that our bus had a canopy that provided protection from the sun and a very nice breeze.

Buses were to far apart. Grey Line had two buses go by before this line

Waiting for the buses to finally get there. Would use Grey Line instead of this company . The top of the buses were always closed.

Great hopping on and off!

Seeing the entire city from the too deck of the bus was great!! And changing routes to go to the Acropolis was easy. Great staff at the stops and on the buses to keep us going in the right direction!

Athens 2024

Very good and useful!! Saying more and more. Again more and more, I it is enough. No more, you like it or not.

No bus

There was no bus at the Port when I tried to board. We waited at least 30 minutes and no bus arrived. We then bought 15 euro tickets on different bus

The tour covered everything I wanted to see. I chose the package with all three tours and was easily able to take all three tours in one day.

Hop on Hop off Buses in Athens

There were three options. We went on a blue bus. It broke down and after a wait we transferred to another bus which stopped and unloaded us all at the Acropolis instead of carrying on round. We went on the bus when we arrived. Tickets last for 2 days so we were able to orientate ourselves on the first day and then do the hop on hop off bit the second day visiting the changing of the guard (every hour on the hour) - a great choreographed spectacle; the Plaka - the old town (we ate there but would recommend Omonia Square - the Omonia Grill. Also visited the Acropolis of course. The Gray (coloured yellow) buses didn't seem anywhere as frequent. The red buses seemed very frequent and popular. Another time we'd go red!

Wouldn’t do again

It was very confusing as to where to get back on to the bus and the times also the earphones they supplied were junk

It was okay maybe I chose the long line.

There were only about 3 good stops. And I certainly would not book this for 2 days like I did. I was also not offered headsets when I arrived or even told they were available.

Nice ride with good narration, and many stops. Bus drivers helpful and agents at stops were helpful also.

Good Value

A great option for seeing the city of Athens - conveniently located to our hotel in near the Acropolis Museum. Lovely to stay on for a full tour and then hop on and off to explore in more detail. My only criticism is that the last pick-up times are not noted anywhere. We were picked up and then one stop later had to get off due to the bus being done for the day. No notification of this happening and not at all at the stop we desired. Therefore, had to get a cab to return to our starting location.

Our tour was fabulous. Our guide was knowledgeable, accommodating, and funny. The food was excellent as well. Highly recommend.

Great trip. Saw all the historical sites in the city. Hop and off is very convenient The ear phones gave a description of the important places to see

Great opportunity to see a lot of areas and decide which to return to and explore more. We did and enjoyed it.

Bad service

We waited at the Golf station (nr 13, at the Glyphada beach) - we saw the bus, it was 15mins late, waved at him, even with the red brochure in the hand, but we got completely ignored, the bus drove by and we had to take a Taxi back home. Very disappointing.

Value for money!

It was a great way to get an overview of the city and the beaches. The audio guide was pretty decent and we got to learn a few things about the history of the city. The buses were clean and new. There was a bit of traffic downtown but this is normal for a big city. Good value for money overall!

Timing of buses

We purchased the 48 hour bus tour. We used it both days. The main problem was the time between buses on the beach line. We waited over 45 minutes for a bus and ended up taking the metro because we needed to get back to the city center by 4:00 .

Hop on Athens

Lots of interesting sight to be seen on the Athens line of the bus, it does drop you off very close to each attraction. The tour is in multiple languages and takes around 90mins for a full circuit.
