Great overview of Athens’ main sights

Giannis was a great driver. Although this tour does not include a certified guide, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and answered our many questions. We enjoyed our time at the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. At the end of the tour, Giannis made us reservations at a wonderful restaurant with traditional Greek food, and we appreciated his food recommendations. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a quick overview of Athens’ main sights.

Fun day in Athens

Alex was a terrific tour guide providing the historical details as we traveled. We went to the Olympic stadium, watched the changing of the guards, a panoramic view of the city at Mount Lycabettus, Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis, followed by a drop off at our cruise port. It was a record hot 104 degree day but we persevered. Thanks for a memorable trip!

Truly the BEST OF ATHENS

This tour is perfect! We saw all the major highlights of Athens and also enjoyed a delicious lunch. Alex is courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He picked us up at our hotel in a clean, cooled suv with plenty of bottled water for our excursion. Alex is a local Athenian, a great driver and well-educated to give us a tour of the city. We self-guided through the Acropolis, slopes, and the museum. This is more our style and with Alex waiting for us outside each location, we had a cool car to climb inside as he drove us to all of the stops. Highly recommend!!

Great!

Alexander did a great job driving us to see the most important sights of Athens, while keeping us comfortable and cool.in the air-conditioned vehicle on a very hot day when the temps were well over 100 F. He went the extra mile to make contact with us when our international cell service wasn't working. He was very imformative, knowledgeable, and helpful.

George was great!

George Remoundos was an excellent tour guide and driver. He was polite and on time. He told us about each site and we appreciated his knowledge of the ancient sites. Can’t wait to book with him next time we are in Athens.

Great way to see Athens in a day

Nikos was our driver and tour guide and he was fabulous! He was knowledgeable and his passion for Greece and Greek history was obvious. The day was a miserable 40 C (104 F) so we were reluctant to do much walking and, nevertheless, he managed to make our tour great. I totally recommend this for people who would like to see all the major sites in Athens with a much more personable and informative experience than a taxi would provide. Thank you Nikos!

Great for short stays in Athens

It was just right for the short time we had in Athens. Got to see all the highlights without waiting for a crowded tour. George Remoundos was great and patient.

I feel misled by the description of this activity

The description of this activity promises that “you will deep dive into the culture and history with your guide”. That is NOT what happened. The driver pre-purchased our tickets (extra 30 Euro per person) and drove us to various points of interest, many of which are within walking distance of each other. We had to explore primarily on our own and google / hire other guides to actually understand the details of what we are looking at. I find it hard to call such activity a “tour” and certainly do not believe that it was worth anywhere near $430. Walking around and taking taxis would have been just as effective, and would have cost a fraction of the price.

Athens Highlights in a Half Day

Our guide Alex took us on a personalized tour of Athens’ highlights. Only two of us plus Alex. We had limited time in Athens and this fit our schedule perfectly. We were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel which was so convenient and appreciated. The vehicle we were driven in was very roomy and comfortable with great air conditioning and bottled water was provided for us. Our tour guide provided us with great narrative and made drop offs and pick ups from our various attractions easy and close by. Loved seeing the changing of the guard as it was very unique and we had a great spot for viewing. If you have limited time in Athens and want to see the tourist highlights I would recommend this tour as a good fit. We enjoyed it and were quite pleased with our adventure.

Great time and great value

Our family of 5 enjoyed this tour very much! Nikos was an engaging and informative guide. Between our port pickup and drop-off, our stops included the Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis site, a drive through Athens to see other ruins, a panoramic viewpoint of the city, Acropolis, and the port, and the changing of the guard at the parliament building. Definitely worth the time and money.

A Great Highlight Tour of Athens

Vacillius was our driver for the tour of Athens. We plan to be back next year, so just wanted an overview of the highlights, so we could plan for the next trip. Vacillius did a great job giving us an overview of the city. I’m also amazed at the tight spaces he could maneuver his vehicle in and out of. His son should have been born by now. Good luck.

Tour of Athens

Our tour of Athens was amazing not just because of the location, but our guide Alex made the experience wonderful and personalized. We were able to have just the right combination of information from Alex and free time to explore and wander at the Acropolis and the museums, as well as getting out to see the Olympic Stadium and the changing of the guard. Alex knew exactly where to go and his timing was perfect. He really provided such great information about the history of Athens and Greece in general, answering all of our questions. We learned so much from him. Not only did Alex provide an in-depth, personalized tour of Athens, but he was also kind enough to take us to the port for our cruise after the tour. I can not say enough about our Athens tour experience, we all agreed that our tour with Alex was the highlight of our entire 10 day trip to Greece. Thank you Alex! We highly recommend this tour.

Great private tour with george

Great day with George…it is HOT in Athens in early June and George made sure the car was cool and we had plants of water. Knowledgeable on all things Athens! Enjoy!

Best in Athens

Nikos was an amazing tour guide! Loved hearing all the history and regular life in Greece! The best was the amazing view atop the highest part of Athens! He provided so many bottles of water which is a must in Greece during the summer! He was very patient with ours kids as well!!! I definitely recommend this tour and Nikos!

A fantastic day seeing the sights in Athens.

We did this tour with Alex and thought it was fantastic! Alex is a complete gentlemen. He was 20 minutes early, had water for us to drink and always ran around the car any time we got in our out to open the doors for us. He had an amazing amount of knowledge about Athens and answered all of our questions. He dropped us off at the perfect spot for each destination and was always there waiting at the designated time to pick us back up. In the end, we spent closer to 5 hours and covered a tremendous amount of ground. We would absolutely take another tour with Alex!

Great shuttle between sites

It was my fault for not reading carefully but for this “tour” you’re essentially getting a paid driver. Once I realized that, it was fine. Our driver was great and quickly got us from one place to the next. He didn’t rush us and was very accommodating. If you desire to get shuttled around to all the famous Athens sites, this is for you!

Exceptional service.

Spieros, our Athens Tour Guide, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about Athens, incredibly patient and accommodating, and went out of his way to ensure that we had an excellent experience. We had failed to get the right tickets for portions of the tour and Spieros took the extra steps to get our tickets and arrange the most positive visit times. We had an incredible day that far exceeded our expectations.

Highly recommend

Our tour guide Nikos was excellent! Very friendly, knowledgeable, sense of humor, and a safe driver. He took us to some great places. The van was very roomy for four of us who are taller and larger people. Not a lot of walking until we got to the acropolis. If you have somebody who is physically challenged, I recommend calling the Acropolis in advance to see if you can get assistance, all the way up to the entrance and then they do have an elevator. Highly recommend this tour! Just make sure you eat lunch before hand. We took the noon tour. highly recommend this tour!

Great way to explore Athens

Our guide George was great! We love the one on one time with private tours and George made sure we hit all the highlights. Upon my request, he even made sure I got a traditional Greek snack before we departed. Wonderful tour. Definitely recommend!

A great half day tour.

Recommended, the driver is nice and helpful, he did what we asked and would like to go further mileages to fulfill our requests!

Greece our way.

George Remoundos, our guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, edited the tour to meet our wants and needs. And, at the end of the tour, he found us a perfect place to eat with good food and great views.

Not sure it’s really a tour

This experience is difficult to review. The Sunday we booked the tour there happened to be a bike race that shut down many of the streets in Athens making it difficult to get around. Our driver did his best so I can’t fault him, but it definitely didn’t seem worth the money in the end. (We were offered a 50% refund the day of if we chose to cancel due to the bike race - an exception to the cancellation policy). To me, this seemed much more of a shuttle-like service and not a “tour” and I felt that we could have walked to the sites and saved a lot of money.

Best of Athens Tour

We loved learning about the Greek culture and history. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Athens from the ship

Our guide and driver, Chris gave us an excellent tour of Athens. He picked us up from the ship and returned us to Port. Meanwhile, as well as his thorough knowledge of the sites in and around Athens, he managed the very busy traffic with ease. We had been advised to pre- purchase on line tickets for the Acropolis but keep in mind that the senior’s fare is only applicable to Citizens of the European Union. Chris was flexible in meeting our needs and informative.

Quick Athena tour before our cruise

George was the best! Even with most roads closed for the big bike race, we still were able to see many parts of the city. The highlight was the trek to the Acropolis. Many stunning views!

Nikos provided my husband and I the most incredible sightseeing day! We had limited time to see all of the major sites but Nikos brought us everywhere we wanted to go. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Greece and Greek mythology, which he shared pieces of along the way. His car was very comfortable and clean. It was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to all!

Our experiences with George are amazing! He handled his customers professionally and tried his best to accommodate our requests. He’s willing to walk extra miles to fulfill our needs. He brought us to an electrical store so we can buy power adapters to solve the problem to charge our devices and a supermarket so we can buy some needed groceries! A big help!

A great solo tour in Athens

George, my driver-guide, was very personable, efficient, punctual, very informative about the city of Athens and Greek culture, which I was very interested in during the tour.

Great day and interesting to see the Acropolis. John was a good guide and took us around to see everything. We went on Sunday when most of the shops were closed so I wouldn’t recommend that part.

Would do it again!

George was phenomenal. I would do this all over again. He knew exactly how to get us to all the critical sites and the car was very accommodating and comfortable. Water was provided too.

A perfect way to see the amazing city of Athens and adjust to a new time zone!

Our flight into Athens was 2 hours late. Fortunately the tour operator was flexible and worked with us. John was a wonderful guide and took us all over the city. First was the Acropolis then the Acropolis Museum. Next was the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Olympic Stadium, an amazing viewpoint. It was a perfect thing to do to help us stay awake and adjust to the 10 hour time change. We saved time and energy with this private tour. The vehicle was comfortable and John was a good driver. He always managed to find a convenient parking spot.

The best way to tour Athens in one day.

I arranged a six hour private tour including a visit to Corinth with tour operator LS Tours. I also included for a licensed tour guide for the day. I was picked up at the cruise terminal in the morning and dropped off at my hotel after the tour. Panos at LS Tours was very accommodating with my specific requests. Driver Alex and tour guide Christina were amazing. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable about the places we visited. We were able to spend a very adequate amount of time at the Olympic Stadium, Corinth and the Acropolis where I learned a tremendous amount more than I learned in my high school history classes. I captured many great photos. I highly recommend LS Tours for your visit to Athens.

Great tour

Great Athens tour. Pick up from Lavrion Port was easy and reasonable price. The tour was really great, hitting all the important sports. It was flexible so we could see what we wanted. Guide Alex was really great. Very knowledgeable and good English. The pick up was at 8:00am and we ended the tour at our hotel at 2:00pm. Which is a pretty good 4h tour! Overall great experience

Athens in Spring

We enjoyed our visit to the Acropolis & our driver showed us many of the sights in Athens. We appreciated his efforts to show us the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We knew that we had to purchase our own tickets to the Acropolis but were surprised when we had to pay entrance fees into other sites as well.
