Such a great tour! So many stories are portrayed through Art and this was wonderful to see on the side of buildings or garages. Our guide was so lovely and knowledgeable; I felt that we were kindred spirits throughout. The Ino art work was probably some of my favourite and seeing them in the city brilliant. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Athens.

Highly Recomment the Urban Street Art Tour!

Katerina was a wonderful tour guide. She promptly met us at the assigned meeting spot (in front of a pastry shop near Monastiraki Square) and introduced herself to our small group of four. Since we all knew each other already, she asked us a few questions so she could learn a little about us and the type of information and art we might be most interested in hearing about and seeing during our tour. She also gave us a quick overview of the route we would be taking on this walking tour as well as a little background about street art vs grafitti. As we walked, she pointed out many diverse examples of art on the buildings and explained the historical, religious, philosophical, and political meanings possibly linked to these pieces of art. She also encouraged us to share our interpretations. She answered our questions and offered insites about the culture of this city. Since this was our first full day in Athens, she also offered some recommendations about how to have a safe and enjoyable visit. The entire tour lasted 2 hours and we walked about a mile. For us, the tour ended very near our hotel, so that worked great. There is also a Metro stop there so it is easy to return to another area of the city, if needed. This was a great alternative to seeing more ruins and a nice way to learn about some of the more current Greek history and local Athens culture. Highly recommend!

Exploring Athens Art and Neighborhoods

In addition to seeing interesting street art and learning about its history, we were also exposed to different neighborhoods in Athens that gave a totally different view of the city.

It was just a very cool experience! Athens is just full of amazing street art and it was interesting to get background info and to discuss the often deep meanings behind it! A plus is also that I got to see other less touristic parts of Athens!! ευχαριστώ Πηνελόπη!!! ❤️

Alternative and Amazing!

This tour was one of the highlights of my time in Athens! I can't say enough good things about our tour guide, Greg. He was phenomenal! He was friendly and put us at ease. He was so knowledgeable about street art, and I learned so much about an alternative side to the city. He was so passionate about the art. The tour wasn't at all rushed and is great value for the price if you are looking for something a little different. I would 100% recommend this tour! Thank you!

Excellent tour

We are group of 2 families including 3 kids, means it is very hard to keep their expectations & demands. Our tour guide, Mr. Greg ( Gregory ) was really do his best to tell us alot of interesting stories behind of the street art, current issue in Athens with passion & love. Really appreciated for his efforts and it was best trip which I do during our visit in Athens this time. I highly recommend this trip. 세 명의 아이들이 있는 가족 여행이라 눈높이를 맞추기 쉽지 않은 상황임에도 불구하고 최대한 많은 이야기를 흥미롭게 전해주려고 노력하는 가이드분 ( Mr. Gregory )의 자세가 너무 훌륭했다. 그리스 신화때문에 과거의 이야기에만 집중하기 쉬운 아테네 여행에서 현대 아테네가 가지고 있는 고민과 문제등에 대해서 알수 있는 흥미로운 투어였다. 적극 추천한다.

This was a fantastic tour. Pascal was so knowledgeable and eager to show us the street art in Athens. We appreciated the tour into multiple neighborhoods of Athens and the stories and details Pascal provided of each pieces of art was so worthwhile.

Excellent street art tour

Pascal did such an excellent job explaining the backstory and meaning behind the amazing street art in Athens. This was one of the most interesting and thought-provoking tours we had attended. This was the first street art tour we had been to but it definitely will not be our last.

Amazing time

Pascal was an amazing guide! He was flexible when we wanted to change the time and very communicative. He knows so much about street art, the artists that made it, and explained a lot about Greek culture and the evolution of street art in Athens. We did the street art/food tour and the food that he had us try was good quality, local, and couldn't have been better. We highly recommend this tour or any other with Pascal.

Tours don't get any better than this!

Our guide was filled with enthusiasm and graciousness. I could not imagine having anyone better. She was knowledgeable and articulate, and keen to answer all our questions. Most importantly, she was a lover of art and cared about the city greatly. The pace was great, and we were a very small group. This tour was one of the highlights of my visit to Athens; I will remember this walk for years to come.

Our guide was very nice and helpful, answering all our questions. I recommend 100% this tour if you are interested on street art and all the stories behind its streets. We went in February and I liked that the group we went with was small, so we could connect more with our guide.

In Athens you can't find all the amazing streetart on your own - this tour is worth every cent. Pascal also knows a lot about good food and drinks, just ask him.

A walk through Athens

This was one of our favorite parts of the visit to Athens! Penelope, our guide, was well-versed in art history and gave a fun and informative tour of the street art scene in Athens. Street art is political and cultural so it gave an insight to Athens and Greek culture that we would not have received otherwise. The tour does require a lot of walking (which my partner and I enjoyed but may not work for everyone). It’s also street art, so by necessity we went to some areas that were less touristy and more sketchy, however we always felt safe and comfortable. My partner and I are both artists. We loved the seeing the different art styles and getting the background on the artists and their inspirations. The last thing to keep in mind is that street art is not protected (with the exception of some commissioned pieces) so every tour is a little different, but it also means you may see brand new art that has been painted hours before!

Phenomenal street art walking tour

I had an amazing tour of the street art scene in downtown Athens with Pascal. Athens has such a great energy and the street art, murals and graffiti really play a big part of that vibe. Pascal knew so much about the city, the history of murals and loads of other info about the artists. It was such a well spent 2+ hours walking around on a sunny Saturday morning! Highly recommend.

New culture alongside ancient culture

Such an insightful tour! Compare to the historical and touristic sites, the urban street life is more difficult to explore on your own. That is way we booked the tour, and we could not be more happy about it. Pascal was kind, knowledgeable and interesting. He built a tour with a lovely narrative about the urban street life, yet left space for questions and individual references (artist from out own country). The tour was great with regards to the times, locations and distances.

Experience Street Art and history in Athens 🇬🇷

The street art tour is a great experience while you’re in Athens. Our guide Pascal showed us the most exciting pieces around the city. Furthermore we could learn a lot about the history and the heart of the city. Our guide made sure to discuss the pieces while standing in the shade so it wouldn’t get to exhausting in the heat. If you enjoy to see another side of Athens we would definitely recommend this tour. Also if you’re visiting some islands ask your guide about some nice spots.
