Book one time and they give you another

Booked for 8 am tour, after taking my money they later sent me a message that my tour would be 2 pm. Hottest time of day. Total bait and switch!! It was brutal

Easy peasy

This was a perfect way to avoid the lines and go at your own pace. There was a little bit of a line at the gate but it moved quickly. Tickets came tight to the email and I downloaded just in case I had no reception there. I had no issues.

Time slot confusion.

I thought I had reserved the earliest time slot but ended up with 1 pm. It was the day before Easter Sunday and it was very crowded.

Dissatisfied with my experience but we did ultimately gain access

After waiting in line because there were no options. Identified for skip the line we were told our tickets had already been used. They were not going to let us enter. I assume it was because the line was long and we arrived at the gate after the appointed time. A bit of clarification on how to use the skip the line option would have been helpful…

Great content - would recommend

Overall, we thought the audio tours were great. Very informative and full of stories related to the history of the Acropolis and its many points of interest. Going at our own pace was great especially with the crowds that hold you up at every turn. If you are into the history, you will love the tours - definitely a 5 out of 5. If you are looking more for something to guide you through step-by-step, and explain what you’re looking at, these were not as helpful. It took us a while to figure out what the audio was referring to and we had to recalibrate a few times during the tour. The stories can be lengthy and we should have just stayed in place for a bit vs the continuous slow stroll. When we were able to align the tour with what we were seeing, it was spot on and we actually liked the stories in general even if it didn’t correspond to where we were on the site. Also - it wasn’t an issue but be aware that “skip the line” is referring to the box office not to the line at the gate. Be prepared to wait until your scheduled time +/- 15-20min to enter.

Easy to use and interesting stories

Once you download the app and your audio guides and ticket it’s all pretty easy to use. The guides were very clear and easy to listen to. It was easy to pause or skip around if you wanted to. Inevitably, the routes around some of the sites had been changed with works going on, but the interactive map in the app made it straightforward to work out where you should be and how to get there. All in all, we’d thoroughly recommend these guides and tickets. One improvement would be to have the ticket accessible from within the guides themselves so that you don’t have to go back to find your ticket once you’ve followed the directions to the site. There was an option to download the PDF ticket but we couldn’t get that to work.

Note the combo doesn't include he olympic stadium but there is plenty to keep you busy for the day. You will reach your "step count".

Good Investment

Absolutely a good idea to buy tickets in advance. There’s always a line at opening (even in the off season) and it gives you some time before the crowds

The most memorable part was seeing the sites that are shown on social media. I throughly enjoyed my walk around town

Unforgettable moment in my life. In April was sunny but cool in the evening. I went there at late noon.

Expensive pass, not worth the money

For me, it was not so convenient. March 25 a National Holiday, of course, everything closed. But on March 24 I needed all my time to visit the Acropolis, only. And then, on March 27, came the big surprise: Kerameikos, the Roman Agora, and all other small sites closed at 3 pm. We were only able to visit the Acropolis Museum and the Ancient Agora. I spent 108 euros por 2 people to visit only the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum and the Ancient Agora.

Not worth the money

Acropolis was amazing, but we unable to download the tours on both our phones. Tried messaging tour operator with no reply. It was not practical or feasible to use one phone to listen to guides. Did not include tickets to the Acropolis Museum, which unfortunately we did not realize until we arrived there. So basically spent over $100 for tickets to the Acropolis. Would not recommend.

Better than the hassle of a group tour

Great option if you're looking for details without being tied down to a group tour. I was happy we had read the reviews and fine print. You definitely have to download the tours beforehand. It took a few minutes to get a hang of looking at the maps and following the tour but it was very detailed. Well worth the money.

Great way to see several sights.

It was easy to download the tickets and the QR code gave you access to the designated sites. Viator was responsive when called for questions.

Great activity to go on your own pace

I enjoyed that you could take your time and go to the different sites at your own pace. Instructions a little unclear of where you need to start the tour and the tour time that is displayed on your ticket.

Great Skip the Line Tour with No Guide

Great skip the line ticket for the Acropolis. Clio tours was very communicative as we didnt have the app downloaded to obtain our tickets but in speaking with the Clio representative, he immediately sent the tickets to my email and we were able to access the acropolis without incident. We didnt download the audio tours for our smartphones but still enjoyed the sites. It was nice NOT having a tour guide and we were able to visit the sites at our pace. Highly recommend. :-) Thank you Clio tours!!!

Clio Muse tours were great!

Easy to use the ticket beginning Sunday, October 15. Went to Acropolis first during our early morning time slot. That was the best time to go, as all the tour buses hadn’t arrived yet. It turned out pretty warm later in the morning, so to get through with the Acropolis early before heat and tour buses was important. The other sites were informative as well. The audio guides were useful, but included way too much information to absorb in the time allotted at each site.

Very happy

A fantastic set of guides and tickets (read the information - download guides and tickets before you set off!!). Highly recommended! We had to change our Acropolis booking due to illness and it was a simple process. Asimina was so helpful on the phone and was able to move our time slot forwards 24 hours. Very happy customers!!

Admission denied

The app kept failing and became useless at the Acropolis. The email I was sent said the tickets we had included the Acropolis museum. They did not. We got there and had to purchase them. I sent an email to the merchant, but have not received a response. I do recommend prepurchasing your tickets to the Acropolis, the line was very long.

Skip the line was great although there was no lines anywhere we went. Also audio was hard to share and hard to follow along while walking through the sites,

Too much

We listened to about 20 min and after that we stopped. Had we listened to everything we would have been at the Parthenon for hours. It was an extremely hot day. We were there right when they opened at 8am and left around 930. It was already 96 degrees at that time. Really wished we had done a small guided tour instead.

Tour would take hours to complete

If you want to hear every detail, this is great. But, when it’s 95 degrees at 9am, you don’t want to spend all day. We started listening & then about 20min later stopped. Too much information.

On top of the world

With temperatures over 105 deg by noon the early morning 8 am trip is the way to go Recommended being inline by 7.30 or its a 45 minute wait to get through the entrance Such an incredibly beautiful and inspiring visit

Combo is the way to go!

The combo tickets are the way to go. Pre-purchase them before arriving in Athens. Make sure you get to the Acropolis early as there still will be a line to wait in for entrance into the site.

Easy and enjoyable

Tickets were easy to download and allowed us to get into Acropolis with only a short wait. Loved being able to get into the other sites, as well. Great experience!

Great to get a combo ticket with audio

Great to get a combo ticket with audio. Although the audio was interesting it did give us information overload. However, it was better than reading all the information signs. The cost through Viator was £43.71 pp. You can buy a combo ticket (without audio) locally for €30 (£25.76pp)

Great audio tour

Great holistic experience. Using the app, getting the e-tickets and navigating the audio tour was truly user friendly. We liked going at our own pace and in the order we wanted. It's good for 5 days so we listened to it some even after we returned home. It's written with photos so you can benefit even if not in front of a structure. Would highly recommend.

Good way to visit the Acropolis

Skip the line worked well at the Acropolis. Make sure you get there early. Access to other sites also good.

Great in theory but not user friendly

A good idea but wouldn’t do it again. We found it not very user friendly & the instructions weren’t very clear. The audio was hard to follow and we found it hard to know exactly where we were with the audio. The tour operator was very good and responsive when we had trouble downloading audio files and e tickets.

Paid for premium tickets...

Paid for premium tickets and self guided audio for multiple attractions. The audio would never download at the first attraction. It was such a poor experience that we didn’t use the other attraction tickets. Therefore paying for things that seemed unusable.

Waste of money

Dont waste your money because they say ny buying these passes you don't have to stay in the lines and you have fast pass..... No its a lie Every where you go in Athens you still need to stay in the line

They ruins are more spectacular in life then pictures of them. The weather was perfect May is a great time to go

Great experience

This was brilliantly done. Easy instructions and how to get the audio guide and how to do the tour. Loved that it was self past and you could spend as long as you wanted at each location. Commentary was very interesting and relevant. Would recommend to anyone.

Great way to tour the key sites in Athen

Great to have access to seven sites. The audio worked well, but it would have been good to have a dedicated section for each site. The route wasn't always clear, so more photos might have been helpful. Otherwise it's a great package as it allowed you to tour without time constraints as the pass isn't just valid for one day.

Good way to go. Tour at your own pace with ease of use App. Can’t beat the price compared to some of the other yours and it includes entrance to the sites

The size of the Parthenon is impressive. The audio guide enhanced the experience. The view of the city is also beautiful.

Scam you get the ticket for 30€ on the official website

This is a scam. You can get the multi pa's ticket online for 30€ and find an audio guide for free. Don't book it to pay 42€. They are scamming you

Combo ticket great idea!

The combo ticket meant we only had to sign up and pay once and then we were set for each day’s adventures. Remember to save your ticket on your phone as there isn’t always wifi, and download all the audio guides before you set off. V. Informative. Thank you.

Not recommended

We bought tickets and downloaded all the links we were sent but when we got to the acropolis we were told they didn’t work and we were supposed to contact the vendor. We tried and no one answered the phone. Not sure what we did wrong but I would not do this again - I ended up just buying tickets again at the site so we could get in and it was so much simpler than jumping through hoops with this company.

Great information but hard to follow

Information is very thorough and clear. However I found it hard to match the sites with the descriptions in a timely manner. I ended up turning it off and listening to it later.

Disappointing

The tour guides are much better and the instructions aren't that good. For example it says walk to your left to a bench. There were benches everywhere and it was really hard to follow. It doesn't get you into the Arcopolis Museum which we had to pay extra for after paying for this.

The entry process was seamless, and the self-guided audio tour is exactly what we were looking for, given our time constraints.

Informative audio guides for all aspects of Ancient Greek life. Skipping the line in so many attractions as also a huge plus. You just need your smartphone and you are good to go.
