Experience of a lifetime!

Everything was great, the bus was comfortable, the tour guide was knowledgeable, the monuments were enlightening, but the Acropolis visit was outstanding! Informative! Historic! It was a fabulous beginning to my 12 day visit!

Great Half Day Tour of Athens + Acropolis

Great tour of Athens in a small group setting! We were able to leave the group after the Acropolis tour to go to the Acropolis museum instead of returning to the pick up spot!

Great tour and experience!

Wonderful tour with Athina, Salvador and George! Lots of history and knowledge about Athens, Greece and Acropolis Hill! It was very hot. We visited during a heat wave but they supplied water for all guest! Very nice transportation and well with the money! A+++

Worth every cent

Amazing tour. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks Lilly and Salvador. Tickets and transfers included which makes it hassle free. The audio experience was useful as its really loud and busy going up the Acropolis.

Worth the cost.

Wonderful tour guide and driver. Paced well, not rushed. Adjusted time to weather (heat) to a little earlier but gave ample notice with conformation.

Perfect Tour

The tour guides were amazing. This tour is perfect. Acropolis was toured in the morning before the heat. The rest of the tour was spent in an AC van driving around the various landmarks with photo opportunities. The driver was great too, very safe.

Worth the experience!!

The tour guides were very knowledgeable. The tour itself was paced perfectly. The Acropolis was in the morning, before it got too hot. The van driver was also very good. I didn’t feel unsafe. And the best part: AC was amazing. We got to drive between the big sites while the guide would tell us about history of Greece and Athens. I booked this tour because I had 24 hours in Athens and wanted to get the best tour I could for the time we had. I am very happy with it.

5 Star Tour Group!!!

Amazing tour! Our driver Bill was excellent and the bus was VERY nice and comfortable. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and kind. They were very engaging with us and made sure that we had a great time. We did not have to wait in any of the lines for the Acropolis, which was worth the price for the tour in and of itself! You won’t go wrong booking this tour!

Amazing history and Sightseeing

We absolutely loved the tour. Athena and Salvador were very accommodating and gave us a lot of information. They were so funny and informative and this tour exceeded expectations. The Acropolis was beautiful and the tour of it was very great.

Good way to see the sights

We were very lucky and had a small group of 4 people. Having a guide at the Parthenon was invaluable. We learned so much more than we expected. The only suggestion I would make is to off water more than once. It was a very hot day and we were only given 1 bottle of water each before going into the Parthenon. We were not offered water again after coming out.

It was okay

Acropolis tour guide was very informative and Acropolis was breathtaking. The sightseeing tour guide wasn't too informative and tour was disjointed. It seemed unorganized.

Perfect tour for first time visitors to Athens.

Our guide Atena and driver, Salvador, were both wonderful. They made our entire van, 17 people of varying ages, feel at ease. We saw 3 of the most important sites. It was the perfect introduction to the city of Athens. I loved how our start time was slightly adjusted the day before our tour to ensure we were at the Acropolis when it opened, helping to beat the crowds and the heat. When the time was changed, Getaways Greece made sure we were made away be contacting us multiple times and asking for confirmation of the information.

Acropolis Tour

We had the best tour while we were I. Athens the team of Athena, Salvador and Efi. Showed us the main points and provided us the history on our tour. It was a great experience and I would recommend this tour.

Excellent Athens Small Group Tour

Excellent and very knowledgeable Tour guides, Tour was well organized with good timing on the stops (to see the changing of the guard for example). The historical aspect of the sites was well communicated and fascinating.

Amazing day!

The Parthenon tour great - it would have helped if she would have had a flag - we got lost in the huge crowds and could not find her for 10 min. Teddy Aldi did a good job of showing us the sights!! Changing of the guard was great!

Overall a good tour

Overall, it’s a good tour. They do hit a lot of the highlights. We did not appreciate being rushed at some of the sites, but understand they have to keep to a schedule. The best part was our guide at the Parthenon. Recommend to add into their schedule …time for restroom breaks.

Too much information

First part was good. Once we got to the Acropolis, the tour guide was long winded and kept us standing around for way too long. Some people may have liked it but it wasn’t for us. We left early.

Amazing Ancient History in Person

Our first time in Athens and the Acropolis was an unforgettable experience just to witness ancient history B.C. despite the heat and massive crowds. Peggy, our tour guide was amazing in Greek mythology facts just as we learned from school. Our other guide, Theodore or Teddy was so entertaining and funny as we rode with him in the van and walked with him pointing out some historical buildings. We saw the Panathenaic Stadium the first Olympic stadium and also went inside St. Dionysius Catholic Church which we appreciated. Overall, excellent experience with knowledgeable tour guides 👍!!!

Great Tour Time!

Theo, Alex and Effie were great. We packed a lot in a very short time. They were knowledgeable and made the tour fun! I also recommend going early in the morning which will help you avoid some of the crowd in the afternoon.

We had such an amazing visit to the Acropolis and then to the Plaka area. the guide was knowledgeable and so friendly. We would absolutely use the service again and recommend it to anyone.

Tour extraordinaire!

Eliana our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She was able to provide tons of information during our tour. Tony our driver was helpful and timely. I so appreciated the guide that led us through the acropolis. The crowd quickly grew but she kept us safe and informed. The earpieces were a wonderful surprise making sure that you could hear every word. I would highly recommend this tour.

Meeting the Iliana! The guide. She was fun and made the tour enjoyable. Driving around the city to get to the sites was fun too! Meeting people is easier when you are in a tour. I highly recommend this tour..

Great way to see the Pantheon and the Greek goddesses :)

The historian was very knowledgeable, was able to answer question related to the Greece methodology and was easy to follow. The bus ride was pleasant, safe driver and it was nice to see must of the sites without all the walk. Still there was a lot of walking involved but we were able to continue with the tour, make sure you have good climbing shoes.

Fantastic Tour

Absolutely loved it. Li-Li (Eliana) was extremely knowledgeable. My family and I enjoyed our time with her. Salvador was a great driver. One of our group became ill and was able to stay in the van an recover. It was a great group. I would highly recommend the tour

Great experience! Plenty to look around and take pictures. Guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable. You should have a minimum on this box. Really not cool

Re-living Greek History!

Nikolas was exceptional in sharing history/stories at the Acropolis. The young gal (long brown hair) did a great job beginning to end. She did a great speaking (enunciation) when sharing about the city. She had fun trivia for us, when we were going down the slow streets! I would recommend both!

Great tour guides

The tour was very informative. The guides Theodore and Soltiris were excellent. They knew all 12 peoples names and had a great sense of humour.

Could have been better

The tour guide we had at the acropolis was great. The rest of the tour that came with the mini bus felt rushed ! The description said we’d go to the ancient agora, we didn’t go there. I also believe they only took us to plaka because I asked and the entire time there we were rushed, description said 30mins, they said we only had 15mins. We ended up just staying in plaka instead of having them back us back to the pick up point. I’ve been on soooo many tours including many in Greece, this one I just didn’t really feel that customer service.. just like they were in a rush to be done with the tour. Disappointed by that.

Best Athens trip

We had a wonderful time at the acropolis. Vicki the tour guide was so nice and informative 👏.We always use Viator makes trips run smoother.

Ruins tour

Drive, sites and tour guide the best!! Sound sets to listen, poor! Of the six friends in our group, 4 sets worked less than half the time!!! Kept cutting out!!

Completely disappointed

Trip was not completed and we requested a refund. My group and I were on a cruise and our tickets were for 9 am. When we got off the cruise ship, I received a message that the pick up location had changed and the time of the tour changed to 8:40 am. The new pick up location was 35 minutes from the cruise ship. We were told if we did not arrive by 8:40 the tour guide would not wait for us. It was impossible to arrive by 8:40 since we seen the message at 8:15 and we were scrambling to find a taxi for 5 people. We spent $100 per person for this tour just to get stood up.

Fabulous Experience!

This is a fabulous small group tour. Our tour guides were Teddy and Viki and our driver was Tony. All 3 performed magnificently. Teddy and Viki brought Athens history alive with both history and stories. Viki's tour of the Acropolis was extra special. This is a great team! Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful city

I had a wonderful time visiting the historic city of Athens, especially the Acropolis. Thanks to our tour guide Mikaela, I learned a lot from her.

Comprehensive tour of Central Athens and its neighborhoods

We saved this tour for our last day in Athens so that we could see some the sites we missed earlier in our week. We were warned by multiple people before going on the tour that the ascent to the acropolis would be hard but we ended up going on the coolest day of our trip and our tour guide Efi was really good at pulling us over for breaks so that it was easier than expected. Iliana is a great tour guide, and super insightful. We hadn't walked through Plaka yet so we were excited to explore the neighborhood with a tour guide. Christos, our driver, was also very impressive in driving through the narrow streets of central Athens with ease. We were overall very happy with tour and would recommend to anyone wishing to see a lot of the central points of Athens.

Just what we we looking for!

Smooth as silk! Great English speaking guides. They knew their stuff and kept us so busy time flew by! Would definitely recommend…. 5 stars!

Over-priced tour which did not match the description and skipped stops

Small group tour with just 6 people in a nice new Mercedes mini-van. The driver and the two tour guides were both very good and we enjoyed our tour of the Acropolis, the “trilogy” of buildings and the Olympic stadium. However…the tour description said “ Explore Plaka and Monastiraki's charming neighborhoods. Stop at Ancient Agora for a quick photo of the impressive Temple of Hephaestus before continuing to experience the vibrant energy of Athens old town.“ We did none of that! So we ended up going back to the Agora and the Plaka on our own to see it. I understand from the driver that this is a new tour. I recommend that they fix the description to match the tour! I also thought that the tour was far too expensive for what was offered.

Perfect Half Day Tour of Athens!

My husband and I had a great time! Our tour guides were some of the best we’ve experienced. Salvador, the driver, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and on time. He was funny and very helpful. Michaela, our guide for the Acropolis and the Parthenon, was so knowledgeable and shared a ton of interesting information. You could tell she loved her job. Ileana, the guide for the city tour portion was very sweet and obviously loved her city of Athens! Everyone was kind and we had an amazing time. The van was clean, air conditioned, and very comfortable. We definitely recommend this tour!

Very enjoyable, half day in Athens

We had a lovely half day tour. The bus was very comfortable, and our guides Athena Salva and Efi were very knowledgeable, kind and patient with the younger ones. Highly recommend this trip. Sundyaymor ing early is best to avoid busy sites!

Great overview on Greek history and culture

The tour was amazing! Lilly and 'Salvador' were super kind and professional. We were impressed by their knowledge of the city and the culture. Only our Akropolis guide Effi did an even better job!

The tour was outstanding!

The tour was outstanding! Not only were the sights breathtaking our tour guides were excellent! They were both very knowledgeable and took us on special excursions that weren't even included in the tour like the neighborhood of Plaka. I would definitely recommend this tour to all tourists who want to see Athens through the eyes of the locals!

An unforgettable experience

Mikaela was my tour guide for the morning at the Acropolis. I loved every single minute of my tour as a mythology and history buff. She was full of insight and neat facts. I ended up being the only person on the tour for that morning but despite this the agency didn't cancel my booking. I'm very greatful for this since I had to fly out the next day. The weather was bad as Athens had a storm with heavy rain and wind that day but that didn't stop the agency from proceeding with the tour. Going to mount Sounion in the afternoon was the perfect combination. The coast line at sunset was absolutely breath asking and is a must for any traveler. Sotiris the tour guide for that location focused on the mythology of Poseidons Temple and the relating history. I'm more than satisfied with the experience and will carry the memories with me for a lifetime.

Amazing experience - 5 stars!

Amazing tour with extremely knowledgeable and friendly experts. I scheduled a small group tour during the off-season and to my surprise, the tour was a private experience as not many tourists are in Athens now. It was an amazing experience for me. Mikaela was extremely knowledgeable and gave an extremely in-depth tour of the Acropolis and surrounding sites in Athens. I received a very comprehensive historical background and information which only an expert could Know. I then had an incredible city tour with Teddy where I saw the various buildings and many sites which most would have never noticed or simply walked past. He was extremely kind and friendly and made the tour feel great. Sotiris was extremely fun to talk to and extremely professional and patient. I would highly recommend booking with them, it was an awesome tour and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
