We had a very nice morning on this private tour. Our driver, Petros, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He knew the city like the back of his hand and took us around to all of the top sites.

The only way to do Athens - a private tour

This is the only way to do Athens. Our guide, Jimmy, was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to navigate our day for us to see all the highlights. He took us to a great place that we could shop a bit and eat lunch to re-fuel for the rest of our tour. He was flexible when we needed to change the time and even drove us to our ship port to get onto our cruise at the end of the day.

Wished we had booked a full day

My husband and I took a 1/2 day tour of Athens with Jimmy. He was excellent! He took us to the Acropolis and I went down the backside of the hill. He was so patient and took the time to explain to me where I was and that he and my husband were on their way! He was informative and took us where we wanted to go and then showed us sights that were not on my list, and I was very glad to see them. His car was very nice and the water was helpful. We had gotten off to a rough start getting to Athens with airline delays and bag losses but time with him made it all okay again. Thanks, Jimmy.

Tour of Athens

Frank was a great guide. He drove us all around Athens and taught us a lot about the history of each site along the way. He was lovely. We highly recommend!

Great experience with Maina and John on a private tour!

John and Maina showed us an excellent time around Athens visiting the popular spots. Maina spent time as our English guide. We felt it was well worth the extra money to pay for her knowledge of the city in English translation! John did an excellent job driving us around in a nice Mercedes Van with plenty of bottle waters. Great way to see the sites in Athens!

1/2 day Athens Tour with the old ladies!

We had the perfect 1/2 day. We were 5 ladies, 3 in their 80's, 2 in our 60's. Panos was accommodating, kind, and very knowledgeable. The van was comfortable, and he helped assist the ladies with walking issues. I definitely recommend this company and guide.

Athens highlights in a day

Panos was very personable. He promptly picked us up in the hotel. Greeted us in the lobby and escorted us to a Mercedes Van. He was knowledgeable and gave a quick historical lesson complete with video/ slides in the van before we arrived at the Acropolis. He allowed as much time as we needed in the museum and pointed out highlights as we drove around town. Water was provided. Highly recommend this tour! Great way to experience Athens in a day!

Wonderful taste of Athens

Really enjoyed our private half-day Athens tour with Hellenic Private Tours. Our party (8 adults) were prompted picked up from the port in a very clean and spacious Mercedes Benz van. It accommodated all of us and our luggage very comfortably. We were also able to book an English-speaking guide which made all the sites more meaningful. We were brought to all of the sites listed in our itinerary. Our tour did not feel rushed or hurried. Our driver was kind enough to pre-purchase our admission tickets. At the completion of our tour, we were dropped off at our hotel. We also used Hellenic Private tours for our trip to the airport from our hotel. Would highly recommend Hellenic Private Tours.

Michael was our driver and did promptly pick us up for our tour. He presented a very business appearance and professional attituded. Frank’s American Fan Club

Frank is friendly, honest and professional. We are two couples from the States visiting Athens for the first time.land we were so fortunate to hire Frank. His knowledge of Athens history was wonderful, his English excellent and we trusted him to tour us safely all around Athens. We visited all the major sights in his comfortable vehicle. We also enjoyed a lovely authentic local restaurant for lunch near the end. Frank is our number one guide whenever we shall return to Athens and we highly recommend him!

Private tour of Athens

Our private tour of Athens was fantastic. Our tour guides went above and beyond to give us a fantastic tour. We happened to go on a day when there was a protest happening in the city center so many roads were closed off. Our guides adapted on the fly to give us an option to see the Athens Bay and kept us out of the madness. They still were able to show us all of the major sites and were very knowledgeable and extremely kind. I would recommend to anyone.

A great tour of Athens and wonderful service overall

We had a wonderful private half-day tour of Athens with HP Tours at the beginning of September. The driver was very flexible on the sites we visited and very knowledgeable about the history. HP also was very responsive and helpful in picking us up at the airport, then the port a few weeks later, and then back to the airport. This is my second time using HP Tours and I received the same high level of service and professionalism on both occasions.

Athens Highlights Private Half -Day Tour

I booked this tour for 9 of my clients/friends was referred to by one of my clients I sent on a cruise to the Greek Isles back in June. This tour really covered the highlights of Athens. Our driver Evangelos and tour guide Ioanna were very professional and knowledgeble of Athens. I highly recomend their tours to anyone visiting Greece.

Education, excellent driving, air conditioning

This tour was worth every penny/dollar! We only had one day in Athens so I booked this tour in order to get around and see the main sites before getting dropped off at the airport. Our driver Panos was a wealth of information and such a nice friendly man. He was at ease the entire time which is amazing since some of the Athens streets could be quite a challenge. His driving skills in those tight spots was quite impressive. Panos was at our pickup spot prior to the designated time and was ready to go. He had thought through the best approach for the day considering there were a number of large cruise ships in Athens that day so he was aware of their impact to the site seeing. We saw everything we wanted and quite a bit more and the entire time Panos gave us the history and cultural significance of the sites and area. Highly recommend the tour and again, I can't say enough about how Panos kept his pleasant demeanor while navigating some crazy streets. Oh, and the air conditioning and water was just what we needed on a hot Athens day.

Great personal attention!

Our day started out in a pouring rain. Michael, our driver, quickly assured us we could rearrange our itinerary to work around the rain. He took us to a museum to visit while we waited for the storm to pass. We couldn't access the internet for tickets due to phone issues so Michael graciously offered up his iPad. We got tickets booked and he delivered us to the back side of the museum (saving us a ton of walking in the rain). Michael was so conscientious!! He made sure we got to see Athens in spite of our weather setbacks. He spent a few extra hours to take us to some incredible vantage points in the hills of Athens. Book this tour and request Michael. Excellent trip

Our driver Michael was most pleasant and attentive to our needs, providing an umbrella for a shower and was always on time and where he said he would be. Having the tickets already for the Acropolis made everything sooo easy otherwise we wold have had to stand in a line for a very long time. We followed |Michael's advice and went straight to the front of the line with our tickets which went against our normal way of doing things but was absolutely correct and saved so much time. We can thoroughly recommend this company and especially Michael.

We had a wonderful private van for our family tour of Athens, half day. Nancy and the driver were great and knowledgeable. On time pick up at the port and did not hurry us through anywhere. Took us to sights we had not visited before on previous trips to Athens. They were very accommadating to our particular family needs. An over all positive experience! Well done!

Great overview of Athens on a tight schedule

Fantastic way to make the most of our short time in Athens. Our family of 6, all adults, ended a Mediterranean Cruise in Athens on August 14. We opted for a private tour, and everything worked out great. Our guide and driver met us at the port, loaded our luggage in the van, and we were off! We spent 6 hours seeing the highlights, including time in Plaka for lunch, before we were dropped at our hotel for the final night of our trip. We really appreciated the provided cold water and comfortable transportation on a hot tour day in Athens.

To be driven around Athens during the heat wave of Athens in July 2023, in glorious air conditioning comfort, was just superb. Our guide Panos was very knowledgeable and had videos to watch about the various sites, as we motored from one historical site to another, nothing was too much trouble.

Perfect tour....

Perfect tour. Although we were there during the heat wave our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. You must get off at the St Georges church and walk the steps for the magnificent views. Great time!

Wonderful experience

The tour was fantastic, a great way to see all the key sights. Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. With the heat our transportation was a welcomed refuge between sites, there was always water and umbrellas available to keep us going.

Great Tour

Visited several islands of Greece and was only in Athen's for a few days. This tour was a great way to visit the major historical sites in an efficient and convenient way. Our driver was wonderful and while not a certified tour guide was local and was very knowledgable regarding the history. We were able to customize the itinerary and spend more or less time at a particular place and even stopped for souvenir's. Was a very hot day so having the AC and cold water between locations was a plus!

Athens tour with Jimmy

We took 2 private tours with Jimmy - half day Sounion (for sunset) and half day Athens highlights. He was so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, and brought us to a great Taverna for a beautiful sunset dinner. I would highly recommend him!

Great Tour! Enjoyed By All!

Nancy was an amazing guide for our family group of 9 adults and the car was very comfortable with an exceptional driver, Kostas. We were able to see so many things starting with the Acropolis followed by arriving at their Parliament building perfectly in time to see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We got to see so much more! The Modern Olympic Stadium, Lycabettus Hill, a 1500 year old Olive Tree, …. Nancy was so knowledgable and able to answer all of our questions. Wonderful afternoon!
