Athens: First Entry Acropolis Tour, Ancient Agoras & Plaka Tour

Great tour! Would do it again!

Guide was so experienced, a truly great experience! We went through the most important aspects of the history of Greece and specifically Athens!

I definitely recommend going with a licensed guide and not trying a DIY tour - you’re sure to miss out on some great info that ties things together. (ex: why are the old theater and the hospital close to one another?) We’ve used Walks tours in several cities and highly recommend them!

Wonderful tour

The tour of the Acropolis and especially the Parthenon was outstanding. Charloula was an exceptional guide. Extremely knowledgeable and super professional. Her passion for the antiquities was obvious.

Our tour with Myrto was amazing! Lots and lots of walking and we were exhausted by the end but Myrto kept it interesting and full of energy until the very end. She had all the little pieces of history and fun facts! A great way to see everything and learn the background! Definitely recommended!

Amazing experience, tour guide Dimitra was very knowledgeable. We went on a very hot day but we were able to cool off in the air conditioned bus.

A 5 stars tour and guide

This tour was awesome. We chose it because it was one of the most complete tours in Athens (Acropolis, Ancient Agoras...), and we loved it because we could understand much better the history and the myths of the city thanks to our tour guide, Marina. She, apart from being native Greek, was very knowlegeable and could answer every of our questions. She also gave us some spare time to take pictures, something that was appreciated too. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone. A 5 stars tour and a 5 stars guide.

Wonderful Experience

Had a wonderful experience with Melina from Walks - she was very friendly and shared many stories. The tour included admissions and we visited the Acropolis and Ancient Agora (and walked through the Plaka in between). We were also given a headset. Be prepared with walking shoes, lots of water, and a hat.

Great Tour

Our guide Aristotle was excellent, as an archaeologist his knowledge was incrediable and his passion for the sites and Athens in general really shone through. I would highly reccommend this tour and it great to by at the Acropolis before the crowds.

I have taken previous tours with Walks in other areas of Europe. You are by far the best walking tour company! We have since taken other tours in Greece that you could not offer us and they do not compare at all with the level of quality. Your guides are very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject they are speaking about. We absolutely loved this tour. No-one can compare with the level of service and quality you provide your guests.

Seeing ancient Athens

Melina (Mel) was the perfect host for Athens. She is an Archaeologists who loves to share her knowledge with people. She is very relaxed and friendly as she answered all our questions and taught us about ancient Athens. She had a great personality and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. As she walked us around she was very mindful of the heat and continued to check on us and move us to the shade when available. It was an amazing tour and I highly recommend the tour. It’s a must for visitors to Athens. I’d give the tour 6 stars but it’s not an option Thanks Mel!!

Fantastic!

Babus, our guide, is a real storyteller and made this tour so enjoyable! An Athenian born and bred, he makes the history of the city come to life. He made sure we had the best shady spot at the top of the hill before all the crowds arrived, he was a true professional and made the morning thoroughly enjoyable

Ruined day

The guide did not show up. Our repetitive phone calls were not answered. We spent 1,5 hours waiting and trying to find sb from the company.
